Royal Deck Tea Room in Edinburgh, City of

Tuvimos un tiempo fantástico explorando el yate, y sentimos que necesitábamos completarlo con un té crema en el salón de té. Ambos tuvimos un bollo de frutas (el mío era sin gluten que era un placer) y disfrutamos del ambiente y las vistas hermosas. La única queja es el precio, £ 5 por una olla de té para uno es bastante extorsivo, pero supongamos que paga por la experiencia.

¡Atroz servicio! Esperó 30 minutos por una taza de té a las 11 : 30 . Se quejó y aún esperó otros 15 minutos. Le dijeron que no esperaban la cantidad de gente. Personas que pidieron el almuerzo que se sirvió a las 11 : 45 fueron servidos delante de nosotros. Considerando la prima que tienes que pagar el servicio fue diabólico!! Vamos, tienes un número asignado de mesas, ¡así que espera que se llenen! Quería salir, pero tenía visitantes que considerar, así que lo sobresalí. Considerado como una pérdida de tiempo como lo habían hecho otros planes para el día...

Si estás recorriendo el yate, esta es una gran opción para el almuerzo o el té. Hacía tanto frío y viento el día que visitamos, que este era un lugar perfecto para escapar del clima. Muchas opciones de comida, pero los sándwiches y las sopas eran excelentes. Buen servicio y cortesía. Espectaculares vistas con las ventanas de cristal. Mis hijos tuvieron su primer servicio de té y realmente lo disfrutaron.

Grandes opciones de comida en este restaurante ubicado dentro del Royal Yacht. Té, bollo y pastel era fresco y bueno. El miembro del personal era muy agradable, excepto por uno que parecía estar odiando su trabajo, ya que no era demasiado amable. Muy recomendable!

Este fue un encantador interludio para café y pastel durante nuestra visita a Britannia. La atención al detalle en el salón de té es excelente al igual que el servicio y los bollos estaban deliciosos. El enorme pedazo de pastel de chocolate fudge fue disfrutado a fondo por nuestra nieta también!

Staff, setting, and food were superb. I hope they are baked in house, because the scones were quite possibly the best I experienced while in Scotland!

an absolutely perfect dining experience. delicious food, decent prices, friendly service, and an incredible view. i tried the salmon sandwich and i thoroughly enjoyed it, it was very tasty. i also got a mocha which was equally as good and even came with foam art of the ship on top! definitely stop in for a bite to eat if you’re visiting the ship.

We decided to have a break before taking the tour. We were first in and were asked to choose our table but the staff indicated a splendid window table with a great view. They were attentive but discrete. We ordered coffee/tea and scones and my granddaughter said they were the best she had ever had. When home from Edinburgh Uni she works at 'the' Bettys in Harrogate so knows her scones and Fat Rascals. I must admit they ran those from the LimeTree in Knaresborough close. When we came to leave, the staff took the trouble to tell us about a few things to look out for on the tour which was helpful. All in all - Excellent.

While the food was good , we were halfway through before any beverages were served and had to flag the hostess for that , no follow up asking us how our meal was and had to ask for the check which had the tip included . Wasn’t clear who was responsible for our table.

Outstanding venue, we were lucky and had a bright hit sunny day and the views are fantastic as is the ambience of the dining room. The menu is not huge but the sandwiches were delicious, tea, Coffee and fizz were all lovely too. The service was top notch and could not be faulted. Thoroughly recommend .

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Royal Deck whilst onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. Good selection of snacks and afternoon tea delights with the choice of many loose leaf teas. We had sandwiches which were the freshest we'd ever tasted and all of the staff were very polite with great customer service - we felt very pampered. Would definitely recommend a visit whilst onboard - you're unable to book so we had to queue for a short while but due to the staff efficiencies we were soon sat at our table and service was very prompt. Would love to visit again.

Recently visited after our tour of the beautiful yacht Britannia. Only had a pot of tea and a scone but it was a lovely experience having a drink on board a piece of history. It’s a must if ever you visit this wonderful floating piece of history.

Decided to have lunch here after touring the yacht and, despite a bit of trepidation as to how pricy it might be, were pleasantly surprised. We found the somewhat limited selections very fairly priced, especially when the setting was taken into consideration. We each had a Bailey's Hot Chocolate (just what it sounds like cocoa laced with liqueur) and lunch platters - one salmon and one ham. Both were filling and quite good. Considering the added experience of the meal after touring the yacht, this is highly recommended.

Such a great & memorable experience! Myself, my cousin & his wife did a portion of the tour then went to the tearoom for a meal. We were seated right away, a waiter came to our table delivered menus & took drink our orders. I had the salmon & cheese sandwich/soup/chips combo meal it was amazing good! My family had desserts & coffee. It was very reasonably priced also.

..but so delightfully served, in a unique setting, at an affordable price. Efficient, polite, well presented waiting staff who took a cheerful interest in all their customers. Enhances an already very fine visit.

We thought we’d try the Royal Deck Tea Room on a visit to Britannia, as you couldn’t book and it was lunchtime I didn’t think we’d be lucky but although there were several people in front of us waiting, we were soon offered a table and seated, after studying the menu we decided to “push the boat out” and went for the champagne afternoon tea, service was impeccable as was the food, a brilliant, unexpected addition to our tour.

I've been to the tea room twice, both times the food was really delicious and the service was great. It's not cheap but it's not unreasonable for a museum tea shop and the quality is much better than most comparable places. It's not just tea and cakes either, the soup and sandwiches are really good too.

Waited 20 mins for order to be taken, waitress took order with minimum communication and no apology. Still not received after another 15 mins, had to leave before we were served. Very unimpressed.

Just finished the tour so time for a snack on the Royal Deck Tea Room. We had just entered and were quickly shown to a table with a view by an attentive lady.. Good Start. Ordered and within minutes our order arrived served by another great member of staff who engaged in conversation giving his views and experiences whilst working there.Very Nice chap indeed. The Beverages and treats were soon consumed and were Superb. Nice end to a nice experience.

Me and my sister thought it would be nice to treat our mum on her holiday, we were greeted and sat down but unfortunately we we not seen to for up to 20 minutes, even when we got up and put our coats on nobody seemed to care, we were however, met with a thank you for coming on our way out, don't know whether that was sarcastic or not

What a beautiful tea rooms on a very special Yacht We stopped halfway through the tour to take time for a warm up in these fabulous tea rooms. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. The glass panelled walls let in plenty of light making it lovely and bright and cheerful, along with the yellow roses on each table. We were quickly shown to our table and offered menus. I chose lemon drizzle cake along with Baileys hot chocolate, my husband just a coffee. We wished we hadn’t had such a large breakfast as we would like to have tried the lunches, which looked delicious.
