Royal Court Bar in Kensington and Chelsea

Excellent discovery in overpriced Sloane Square lovely relaxed atmosphere with great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Very friendly and efficient staff made it a good place to eat before theatre just upstairs. Highly recommended it.

the royal court persist in their vegan, no meat philosophy - hopefully a new chef will review the menu and change this. Half the food is fried - which is not healthy and fake beef and chicken doesn't really add to green credentials. I was amused to see someone bringing their own fruit to get something healthy. the wine list is not good - it appears to include pinot noir and merlot - but the pinot noir is merlot? needs a lot of work

Waitress didn’t know what she was doing didn’t understand English Even I ordered fries she gave me a burger instead I said I ordered fries Manager was know where in sight I have been here to your restaurant a couple times This waitress should not have a job because she clearly does not belong at this restaurant

Lunch was delicious and very healthy. The price was reasonable and service excellent. Would go again.

Th food was OK (though it is a challenging menu for fish & meat eaters!), but the service was poor. Drinks seemed to sit on the bar waiting and we attempted to attract attention to order a pudding but was told at 7.10pm the kitchen was closed because of a 7.30pm performance. It wasn’t as f they were busy, it was deserted! Bog dissapointment.

Great staff very efficient and personable in a busy space with thronging bar. Food was good, though we just had the simple burger option well presented and reasonably priced.

Starters were good, however could smell rice burning from the kitchen. Curry goat was too salty. Rice was hard. Green leaves on plate, no dressing. Jerk chicken was terrible. Dunns river sauce under skin was excessive. Rice & peas was bland. So disappointed as we were there to celebrate a special birthday. Won’t be visiting again.

So pleased to have found this lovely cafe/bar. Gorgeous food and great service. Profits going to the theatre is a bonus. We'll be back. 😊

If you want to see some of the newest and best theatre the royal court is a must and the Bar & Kitchen is also a great shout for your pre theatre dinner. Nice space, welcoming staff. and a short walk up the stairs to your seat for the performance

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on the menu. I am not a vegan, but I do enjoy vegan food (there was a good choice on the menu), In this case I opted for the non-vegan ploughmans (ham & cheddar) which was very nice. My wife chose the non-vegan mezze board (it had dairy, but no meat), which was also really nice. Friendly staff too. We would be happy to eat there again.

I eat here a lot & was glad to get back there now theatre’s happening. There’s a new menu. The vegan cheeseburger & the chicken burger are super nice. Good side salad & chips. Prices still really reasonable & Bar & Kitchen staff are lovely.

Have just written a great review of the theatre on the principal Tripadvisor site in which I mentioned that I felt there were too many vegan options (and not enough meat) on the menu. You have a great bar with a real buzz and lovely people. I was just disappoined not be able to indulge my carnivorous predilection. I did try the vegan burger. It was edible but - to me - had an unpleasantly slippery, slimy texture. Personal taste I know, and everything else was lovely - so thanks!

We had the mezze board and there was plenty for two of us. It was fresh and delicious. Sadly we don’t have room for dessert after that!

I used to love eating at the Royal Court but now the only meat available is a ploughman's. Burgers, sausage rolls and "chicken" are all vegan and the only fish is fish fingers. Very disappointing

Beats all the top priced highly publicised bars, cafes and meeting spots in Chelsea. Wonderful atmosphere, and not noisey. Staff a delight. Just dore this venue.

Great lunch in the vaults under Sloane Sqaure. Great premises and lovely ambience. Staff were very good, giving great delivery on a busy service. The wine list is excellent- all wines supplied by Berry Brithers of St James.

It’s tasty, quick and a fairly good variety on offer. Good for a pre-theatre fill-up but I probably wouldn’t seek it out as a dining destination if I wasn’t attending a performance. It gets very busy between 6pm - 7.30pm so booking is advisable.
