Royal Balti House in Northumberland

I would not recommend this place for food. Order took about an hour to arrive. Jalfrezi was mostly oil and grease. No flavour to it as it had far too many chillies in it. The naan breads had a texture that was similar to leather boots. The garlic naan was just a normal naan with a dollop of garlic butter spread over it. Got an Indian naan kebab that I wouldn't even feed to a dog. Garlic chips were soggy and tastless as the garlic was far too overpowering.

Had takeaway from royal balti it was absolutely disgusting my husband had lamb Biriani no taste to it whatsoever might as well got a 2minute rice out of the cupboard and cooked. That. I had chicken rogen Josh it's the worst one I've ever had. Firstly it was nearly cold then no juice to it no flavour absolute rubbish. I certainly won't be ordering anything again from the royal balti..the naan bread was cold and hard the only thing any good was the poppadoms and chutney and let's face it you really can't go wrong with them.i certainly won't be going again.

Used these guys for some time however they let themselves down. Ordered a lamb dish and they tried to pass beef of as the lamb. Tasty curry but disappointed in them cutting corners.

Just had a chicken tikka shaslik delivered. Looked like chicken but the texture was terrible, looked at the reviews on trip advisor which were bad, but surprisingly just eat reviews were good so went for it. Big mistake, binned most of it (although the chips were ok)

Disgusting meal totally inedible . Man on the phone was rude and would not accept that the food was delivered cold in the bag and full of grease . Never again . Do not order from here

The food was cold , dry and didn't have much taste. I wish I'd just gone to McDonald's! Ordered a keema naan (basically a thick naan, where's the keema???), 2 plain naan and 3 sheek kebab. To add insult I was overcharged by £2 despite me querying the price as the online menu total was £15.20. I was told the menu prices hadn't been updated. When I checked the menu prices ( taken from the counter) it was the same as the online price!

Have used this take away for years and it was lovely it has now been taken over apparently and I can only describe it as being absolutely disgraceful ! We have given it a fair trial but won’t be using it again the number has been deleted from my phone. Absolutely tasteless skimpy on the meat more water than anything else.So disappointed that was once our favourite take away has been reduced to this . Definately need to employ new chefs

I have 40 years experience eating Indian food all over the world and I am now compelled after 30 years using this takeaway to write this review. This is my favourite Indian takeaway without a doubt. I rarely go anywhere else for my Indian takeaway food. The food is fantastic, quantities very generous and the staff are lovely. My favourite dishes are the Tandoori Mixed Kebab starter which is simply the best anywhere, the lamb rogan josh, the lamb dansak & the Chicken Tikka Garlic. If you go here and have any of these dishes you will not go anywhere else in the future. Simply Lovely!
