Roxi Bistro in Colchester

Best breakfast in Colchester, my son loved the toastie and fries. Mine was feta scrambled eggs absolutely yummy and my husband had the full English, great service and price. lovely atmosphere felt like little holiday place.

Haven't been in since change I love eggs benidict but best I've had lovely twist with caviar definitely try beautiful salmon freshly squeezed oj beautiful coffee perfect start to the day 😋

Consistently very good food. It’s one of our favourite places to go for breakfast. A great selection, that caters for traditional breakfast lovers and those wanting something a little different. The Greek eggs are delicious!

Flavoursome, generous portions. Fantastic service. Would highly recommend. I had the prawns for starters and they were delicious in a well balanced tomato based sauce. The chicken shish was authentic and so, so tasty.

Wow what a find. A great place for lunch in Colchester. We were met at the door by Jack who looked after us despite the restaurant being busy. The food was outstanding, I had the Chicken Souvlaki . I have to say it was the best lunch I’ve eaten out in a very long time. The food took a few minutes longer to arrive than some might expect but this is only because everything is cooked to order and if you take a starter and a nice drink time will fly. Thank you Jack.

This restaurant has become a favourite of ours on the High St. we’ve had breakfasts, lunches and dinners here and never had a bad meal. The food is fresh and tasty and portion sizes are generous. Favourite dishes are the mixed grill, lamb chops and chicken kebab. The only downside is service can be a bit hit and miss depending on how busy it is and we often have to call someone over for another drink or dessert etc. it feels like they could do with more staff especially at weekends now it’s becoming more popular. The set lunch menu is particularly good value at £14.50 as are the 2 for 1 cocktails all day 😋

I had breakfast at roxi last week with a friend, then returned this evening for dinner with my husband. Meals were all excellent, lovely sized portions. I had the mixed grill & it was amazing! The staff we had for dinner this evening were so lovely, the atmosphere is amazing with the fairy lights and decorations, lots of effort has gone into this place. Highly recommended

Fabulous fresh and delicious food in a pretty setting. I had the hummus and bread and calamari both were freshly made and very tasty. My friend had the chicken sheesh which was plentiful with lots of different aspects to the dish. Prices are really good. Owner was lovely and we really enjoyed our lunch. We will be back!

What a gem! Wanted somewhere different to eat while staying over in Colchester and this totally hit the mark. Chilled atmosphere, great choice of foods and non intrusive music. Both of our dinners were really tasty and beautifully presented. Service wasn't fast but in a chill night who wants to be hurried? Not us. Staff were lovely, plenty of space between tables and overall a great experience.

Wow we came here for the first time last night & will definitely come back. The food & portion sizes were amazing. Lovely setting, staff were lovely. A real gem of a place.

The first thing is the staff are so friendly from the moment you arrive. The food was delicious. I had the chicken wrap from the entrée and it was more than enough for me for lunch. My partner had the chicken burger. He really enjoyed the BBQ chicken breast. They make their own sauces which were delicious. A great find.

We hadn't booked, just walked in on the off chance of getting a table and glad we did. Nothing on the menu I wouldn't try. Just had mains and wine as was off for drinks to celebrates a friends 50th. I had the chicken donner kebab, which was hot and delicious. All the food looked great, we all had different dishes all as good from lamb stew to pasta. Service was amazing, they made the birthday boy a surprise cocktail which was his favourite, an expresso martini. Deacore nice, spacious and we've just emailed the team to book another meal! Highly recommended 👌

Excellent food and service. Polite and friendly staff. We had a selection of starters as a meze, which worked really well for us as a lunch. The mushrooms in blue cheese and the calamari were superb.
