Route 66 Haverhill in St Edmundsbury

I'm so glad we came to visit. The burgers were the best I've ever had. The portions were massive, and it was a reasonable price. I wish I lived closer, I'd visit more often.

The food was absolutely delicious.The staff are so kind and welcoming the only thing which knocked a star off of my review was the cleanliness of the place there was food all over the floor and the tables were sticky.But overall it was a lovely place

Delicious food, very generous portions, friendly staff and great music! The burgers were delicious, as were the desserts (plenty to choose from) and our toddler loved the mac n cheese.

We dine in often. Great food. Very fair prices. Always good service. But come on guys... fix the gents toilet - its been months!!!

We're not burger lovers but decided to go here on the spur of the moment! Lovely gourmet burgers and hot dogs. My husband had the wild boar 🐗 hotdog 🌭 and he said it was really delicious. You get alot of food for your money. Desserts are quite limited unfortunately. They also have a cocktail 🍸 menu but I was disappointed as they have removed the Long Island Ice Tea 😥. If you like burgers then I would definitely recommend here.

Only the second time I've been here and I had the ribs and they were absolutely beautiful

We came in after fireworks and we were happy to wait as they were busy, the only waitress served THREE tables that came AFTER us (we were with a two year old) and literally ignored us until we left. While in there she also tries to kick out a group of 5 saying there was no space for them when clearly was, but decided to serve even them before us. Needless to say you lost customers for ggood 👍🏼

The food is amazing but unfortunately the service wasn't, we went on a Saturday early evening and the waitress was out of her depth. She got the drinks and food order wrong and we weren't the only table to have this some people got extras they didn't order with some getting totally different things to those ordered. Would eat there again purely on the fact that the food is so good.

An American diner. Good priced food

We have been customers for years. The food used to be cooked to perfection now it's a hit and miss. Sometimes food is fresh and cooked to perfection and sometimes it tastes like frozen meal.

Really nice chunky chips. However the ribs were quite tough, not in the least fall off the bone, quite fatty and not remotely rendered and worst of all quite bland. Not worth the cost or the wait.

Always a 10/10 meal here. Excellent place, one of the best 2 places in haverhill certainly. If you want a cafe diner come here.

Lunch time “treat”. Limp, mushy soggy salad, dried slabs of cold meat, recooked chips from the night before (you know that particular texture and taste!) and completely ignorant to our complaints. Only order night time- waste of £25

Ordered a vegetarian burger and it was very poor quality There's way too much lettuce so it loses structure, there's 4 slices of tomato which makes the bun go soggy quickly and too much mustard which makes it hard to handle, adds to the sogginess of the bun and also takes over the flavour of the burger. It's not a pleasant eating experience when the burger is sliding it's way out of the burger taking everything else with it when you attempt to take a bite in to it and you end u with a mess. Chips are very very good though, would happily eat them again, which gives an extra star. Will try again in future to see if there's any improvements or try there hotdog instead but won't be trying the burger for the foreseeable future.

Ordered different plates, pulled pork burger, burger with bacon, chicken wings with Portuguese Piri Piri.. all were very good and tasty. Good portion sizes too.

We had a huge order on New years Eve. They handled it great the food was piping hot, well cooked and delicious. All our guests commented on how nice it was. Have used many times before and always get great food and service. Great place! 👍

Bad experience based on Deliveroo who didn’t deliver take away. Contacted Route 66 who said it was cooked 40 mins ago. Offered to deliver but wanted me to re pay. If they take Custer service seriously the right thing to do would have been to deliver the food and sort with Deliveroo. Ultimately Route 66 should underwrite their choice of delivery service

Me and my family went there for dinner today the staff was really kind however the Texas BBQ ribs where tough and way too sweet and the chicken in the chicken burger was dry.

The best burger joint in town. They have my absolute favorite veggie burger ever... spicy and flavorful. We’ve ordered from Route 66 half a dozen times and the food is always amazing.

Amazing quality food which was delivered piping hot and very quick! I definitely recommend the Smokehouse burger and chilli cheese fries. Thank you Route 66 team!

It Is and always will be my faveriote restraunt in haverhill, the food is amazing and the music and decorations add to the experience so much the staff are super freindsly and i just loveeeee the milkshakes and hotdogs 100% recomend to anyone

Route 66.. Fantastic! Had a lovely take away from here last night. Brisket burger (chips), Full rack of ribs and BBQ Wings. All were superbly well cooked, tasty, hot (very important),even after the short drive home! Staff polite and attentive, even while keeping socially distant during COVID. Also had 3 cheesecake`s ,again very enjoyable. 5* take away, can't imagine how much better it would be to be able to eat in 😁 Fully recommended, defo coming back again. Well done Team 😉🍻👍

Not bad for the price, was under seasoned for my liking even the titled seasoned chips were, price was good and it filled me up, could have done better myself tho..

Absaloutly love this place. Had takeaway delivered tonight and it didnt disappoint. Lovely and hot still when delivered and chips were crispy and not soggy like normal chips are when delivered would definitely recommend

Ordered a takeaway. Arrived on time and was still really hot. Delicious food. Hubby said the best burger he'd had in ages. They sent the takeaway menu via email and made it really easy to order. Will definitely be ordering again.

Fantastic value. Great portions. Lovely deserts, Id recommend the Toblerone cheesecake. Young lady who was serving us was also nice and attentive. Good kids portions too.

Lovely food, lovely service, great place to eat!

I went there for lunch with my wife a few days ago. We both had a starter dish, and a burger (+chips) for main. Starters were delicious. Then the burger arrived and it was very tasty....until I found a fly in my burger.....and then another one....and then another one.....and then my wife found one in hers and then we stopped looking for more. I complaint to the waiter (who I think he was also the manager) who apologized and offered to cook 2 fresh burgers for us. I politely declined his offer, but I did mention that I was not willing to pay for the burgers. When the bill arrived he charged the starters and drinks (which it was ok) but then he also charged the chips (ordered separately; burger does not come with chips) which were served in the same plate as the burger with the flies.

Had a beautiful meal with my husband. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Although the diner was very busy we didn't have to wait at all. Outstanding service.Highly recommended.

Great dishes. I tried the burgers with bacon and pulled pork and they were delicious. Skinny crisps are a must.

Really enjoyed a family meal out. Burger was delicious especially with the fries. Portions sizes were spot on. Pricing was good. Ambience was nice an light for time of year with volume just right so we could talk amongst ourselves without raising our voice. Would defo recommend their Premier milkshakes 👌

Hi I just want to say . What an awesome place . The food had flavour and lots of it . Our waitress Charlotte was attentive and well mannered and respectful . They even serve normal coke with sugar ,and not try and force us to drink sugar free because of certain people . I will definitely go again . If I could give more than 5 stars I would

Amazing food at an amazing price, the service is amazing and so is the interior, located right on the high street it offers some of the best eat in food in the area. Suitable for wheelchairs and small children it’s the perfect place for family dining

When I last visited quite a while ago the burgers where normal American size. I recently went for a burger and now they are very small? Very similar size to the Mc burger chain. The burgers taste ok but why have they shrunk? Staff are helpful and friendly.

Food great, setting poor!! I think that's the best way to describe Route 66. It's very tired inside and a little off putting, but if you get over this the food is fabulous. Great burgers, milkshakes, fish - all home made. Prices are cheap as well.
