Good friends in St Edmundsbury

The food unfortunately wasn't great it tasted like it had been prepared a few days ago. It was not very fresh very disappointing will not be returning.

This was our first time using Best Friends Chinese. We have a family Chinese every time this year for my son’s birthday meal of choice. It was absolutely lovely. The chicken balls were crunchy on the outside and the chicken was perfect on the inside. Everyone eating the meal on commented how lovely everything was. Thank you Best Friends. We will be definitely be using you again.

This place has not been decorated since I came here 40 years ago! Food is hit and miss, the bbq sauce I ordered as a side was basically water!!

It’s just “ok” to be honest. Tried here as my regular was closed (which is just around the corner) I have to say, it’s average at best. I have to say I was expecting it to be good because the other one is SO good in comparison. I did go rather late, they were just closing. Also, maybe they didn’t have the normal chef or something.. Staff very friendly indeed. I feel bad leaving this review, but I also feel the need to be honest. “Good Friends” needs to up their game hugely in my opinion, and not just rely on being the Chinese which happens to be more in view than others, leaving quality behind is never good. Maybe I’ll try again on another evening..

Nov 2021: We have had take away Chinese food from Good Friends for many years. There are better Chinese takeaways but not in the CB9 area. The Chef Specials are a cut above the other menu items. Generous amounts especially of the meat element of meat dishes. Recommended.

Great Chinese food lots of choice

Great Chinese food, order food on the phone or orderil food inside. The staff are very friendly. Please note,they do not accept cards at Good friends, they accept cash only. Highly recommended if you fancy a Chinese take away.

Big fan of Chinese food , unfortunately the food I had from here was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had . Will definitely not be going here again !!!! Bland , tasteless and ridiculously greasy .

The best Chinese .chicken balls crunchy, noodles fresh, the satay is amazing. Fresh food always good.

The worst Chinese I have ever tasted, in my whole life Even called them and told them this Sweet & Sour Chicken balls when bitten into dripped grease and batter was like dough, egg fried rice was just a foil-tin full of mush. I still feel sick urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrruuuuuuuuu
