Route 66 - American Street Food in Croydon

Absolutely disgusting American hot dog with chille. Was a standard sausage you’d have for morning breakfast in a very small finger roll with a teaspoon of chille. All for £9.50!!!! Called Route66 straight away and guy said nothing, it’s a sausage in a roll. I questioned £9.50 and he went quiet. Said his boss would call me and now won’t pick up phone. Used to be a loyal customer and food was great. Absolutely appalling. Never again.

Before even ordering told too busy!!! Very rude way of running a business obviously no time for walk in customers. Terrible attitude

I was staying at the premier inn close by. It was late and my friend and I were hungry we had juicy Lucy burger meal, which was recommended, haloumi wrap meal and chicken tenders. The food was delivered to us and was hot, but more importantly it was amazing food the best wrap I’ve ever eaten and I got a bite of the burger which was incredibly tasty too. The chicken tenders were delicious This food is top notch and I can’t fault it or the service. I wish I’d taken some pictures now. Absolutely can’t recommend enough the food quality was incredible wish I lived close by as this would be my Friday night treat. 5*****

I bought food for delivery, took neatly 2 hours to deliver and absolutely rubbish food. Chicken popcorn were just chicken piece cut into smaller pieces. Oreo shake was just vanilla shake and chocolate shake was caramel. I would not buy from them again or recommend them.

I ordered (and paid for!) an extra topping of guacamole - which was missing when I got home and sat down to eat it. So, I added some extra mayo and ketchup, and took a bite.... The burger bun tasted mouldy :( So, determined to have a meal after a long, hungry day (and not waste the £12 I was charged, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt - remembering that bread does go mouldy quickly in this weather) I threw the burger bun into the bin, leaving the burger patty, and the chips to eat. A disappointing meal for what I expected when ordering. A friend did order something they enjoyed, so I was hopeful & hungry!! About 10 minutes after finishing, I felt sick to my stomach - I should have thrown away the whole burger! Do not recommend, do not spend your money.

Burgers cooked to perfection, friendly service. Great unexpected find for a halal place! Clean and well-maintained too

Wildly over priced for what it is! Staff not friendly or helpful either. Used to order from here quite a lot but won’t be returning anytime soon 👎🏻

I ordered 3 waffles from here and what a disappointment. I asked for chocolate sauce on each of them and was given chocolate pieces instead. The waffle itself was nice however the presentation was poor. Would not even bother buying them again from here.

Food was poor, cold and bad quality. Delivery time was accurate (1hour and they said that too). Wouldn’t order again.

Terrible food chicken was pink!! And the chips didnt taste right!! They have a 2 star hygiene rating and the staff are rude

Disgusting customer service, rude argumentative staff. They got my order incorrect and tried to blame me and deliveroo when there website clearly states milk or white chocolate flakes and I selected MILK but still received white chocolate. After calling and complaining they advised they couldn’t help, I will NEVER order from this incompetent place again!!!!!

Much better quality than usual home delivery. Really pleased I found you! Ordered burgers, tenders and waffles. Burger was great, chicken was really good (loved the selection of dips!) chips could have been hotter but we live pretty far out, and even though they weren’t boiling they still tasted great. The waffles in particular were awesome! Will be back!

Grabbed some burgers with mates to take awayWe walked in off the street and I’m not sure about home delivery, but it took a good 20-25 mins to get our food made for us.The burgers were tasty, but nothing overwhelming and my mate ordered a steak roll and it was just a tad burnt Overall ok, but the wait time on the food was a bit too much

We received a takeaway 2hrs late then to realise our food was wrong. The driver spilt 80% of our milkshake and his excuse was the journey was far (10 minutes). The person who answered the phone was rude and I've had to wait over half an hour for our order to be rectified. Disgraceful service for a mediocre restaurant.

Buyer beware!!Although the burgers are good please be aware of the Route 66 app con. Initial offer is 30% off first order via the app, it became apparent that the prices are far more expensive than paying on-site. For example milkshakes are £3.50 in store but £4 via the app. A classic cheeseburger is £6 via the app but £4.99 in store. I went to Route 66 in Coulsdon and ordered 3 classic cheeseburgers and 2 milkshakes and was charged £21.97. If I had used their app it would have come to £26. What a con!!!!

Ordered a bite to eat a while back, thinking this was a little bit different to the other restaurants in Coulsdon. Unfortunately i had made a mistake at this point. I waited 30 minutes for a basic chicken burger and chips, they weren't even close to being busy either (not surprising). I ordered the meal in the shop so had to stick around for what felt like an eternity. The so called owner Max was as useless as they come, I'm surprised they are still open with leadership that dismal. After all this i finally returned home to eat, and the food was as poor as the owners business accumen. The chicken burger was tough, the chips were tiny and the dips were poor. In the end I chucked it and re-ordered from a more established local business. Do yourselves a favour and AVOID like the plague.

Delivery changed once payment was made via just eat. Then was still late, arrived cold and all was horrible. AVOID!! Can I give no stars?

The first time i went it took 20minutes + for a small overpriced chicken wrap, That was raw when i went to eat it. I warned family & Friends but some insisted to give it a go, My sister ordered for delivery and it took an hour and a half and contained plenty of raw meat. Terrible place, lousy service, I would advise avoiding!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered dessert over the phone for collection, they said it will be read in 45mins. At around 30 mind we called to check status and they said another 20mins.

Nice food nice people wicked choice of cheeky burgers are great and the chips are very rustic love it all
