We always stop at this place as a family on our way to our caravan and have breakfast but today we didn't need breakfast but just the toilet and it was disgraceful that they had a gatekeeper for the toilets and you could not use them until you bought something. I saw so many families with kids having no other choice but to buy something just to use the toilet. It's best to be transparent and take down the signs you currently have and put up some that state PAY TOILETS FROM 1.00. Coming here for breakfast never had this issue but today saw that this is the kind of business that makes parents pay for their kids to use the toilet.... Such a shame.

The attlebrugh sign tells me it’s coffee time - Route11 diner is just down the road. We stopped for coffee and cake, tasted homemade and a toasted sandwich for the other half.the coffee is always good and the cake was amazing, coffee and walnut with lots of walnuts and coffee icing. Shame it’s on the opposite side when we travel back!

Roadside cafe with motorcycle theme, good atmosphere, toilets OK. I visited 3 times, so the first 2 times were OK. This time I waited for 30 minutes for a sausage and egg roll. Upon enquiring, I was told that there had been a problem with the oven. I wonder how much longer I would have been left to wait. It wasn't busy. Looking around I guessed I was the only person waiting for cooked food. I wonder how much longer they would have let me sit there? I also don't really believe the "problem with the oven" line. I think they just forgot me while they were wheeling a motorcycle out of and in through the restaurant entrance. And then made up the story instead of admitting that they had forgot me. If I had a problem with an oven at home, I wouldn't know how long it would take me to fix it. And with only one customer tell, I'd tell that customer. Although I am a motorcyclist, I won't be visitng the Route 11 cafe again. There is a Starbucks and a McDonalds co-located at Snetterton, nearby. I'll go there instead. What a shame.

Stopped here at about 13:00 hours on Wednesday the 3rd of August 2022. The place was clean, there were a few customers in being served. We placed our orders and they were delivered quickly. This is not gourmet food. It is good cooking served well. I had ham egg and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chips I had were definitely the best I had in the two days I spent on the Norfolk coast.

We have used this little café for several years now, as a rest stop on the way to the nearby holiday camps. The food is of good quantity, the service is excellent. In the current situation, it was operating with COVID safety in mind, with a one way system and gel available (and screens around staff contact points). My only criticism would be that the toilets could do with a lick of paint, but that doesn't detract from the café itself.

First time at Route 11, seemingly a cafe for bikers, or people going beyond Norwich but wanting a bite to eat.Breakfasts were big on the menu and looking at other diners’ meals seemed good value for money. We wanted lunch and there’s not a great variety available. Lots of snack type food though.I had a premium burger - a quarter pounder and was disappointed as I’ve had these at McDonalds and theirs were much bigger and tastier. Lots of chips and a pot of homemade coleslaw. My wife had a jacket potato with salad. - quite a few toppings available.Prices for all meals was reasonable and people serving were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I had just driven 90 miles on our way to Norwich and we were both feeling hungry and thirsty and needed a nice cuppa and something to eat. We stopped here at Rt11 and initially were pleased with the general layout and atmosphere of the place. We ordered 2 teas and I said I would like a bacon sandwich and as my wife was choosing something I was told we are not serving hot food now just hot drinks. I felt disappointed because all the other people were tucking in to delicious looking all-day breakfasts etc. So I said can we at least have a couple of slices of toast and after a word with the kitchen staff we were allowed to have just toast with our teas. We took our seats and waited for the 2 bits of toast to arrive as other diners around were being served with plates of tasty hot food:(. Then our toast arrived - that was a joke, 2 slices of unappetising pieces of cheap white dry bread that didn't look as though it had been within 6 feet of a toaster! We were so hungry we tried to eat it but it was awful, there was hardly any nutritional value. We just left it on the plate and walked out YUK!! went over to Starbucks over the road and had a tasty toasty - much nicer.

We were looking for somewhere to stop off and grab some dinner on our way home after a long weekend away. We decided to stop in at Route 11. The restaurant appeared clean inside and the staff were friendly and polite. They have plenty of options on the main menu that can be made at a reduced size for children. Both of my children chose to have sausage chips and beans and ate the whole lot. My husband had the chicken and bacon salad. His only complaint was that the coleslaw had mustard in and it wasn’t very nice. I had the lasagne. I could tell it was homemade which a good thing is normally but it didn’t have any white sauce in it, it was just layers of pasta and Bolognese. The Bolognese between the layers of pasta was dry and not saucy at all. The lasagne had obviously been microwaved because the bottom layer was really hard and the whole thing was dried out. The garlic bread that came on the side was wet and soggy to the point you could squeeze the liquid out of it. I have ordered a side of cheesy chips. The chips used were different o the ones the kids had. The kids chips were quite chunky and looked quite good although not homemade as advertised. The chips we were given were really really skinny and were a little bit hard. Admittedly I didn’t mention this to the staff as we had been on a really long journey and just wanted to get on and I had already paid when I ordered the food.

Stopped off for lunch whilst on route to the Norfolk Broads having read some positive reviews on TripAdvisor, nice warm friendly welcome from the staff, ordered our meals (Ham-eggs-chips, Cheese Burger with chips & Jacket Pot with topping). It was nice that the food is cooked to order and not hanging around under a keep-hot lamp even if it does take a little longer. Overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food served, chips were soggy, my wife's were slightly burnt (unlike my sons) triple cooked we were informed - and yet still soggy? The burger was very average, lacking in pickles or relish and didn't appear to be "Homemade" as described in the menu, the Jacket was also quite average but it was nice that the side salad it came with was served with a dressing (unlike so many other establishments). This place tries hard to please but unfortunately doesn't quite deliver on quality, perhaps we should have ordered one of the full-english breakfasts as they looked great, but nothing to write home about beyond this in our opinion.

On arrival the entrance looked uninviting but did look nice when we opened the door to the restaurant. It was not particularly busy when we went and we looked to find a clean table. My husband and I ordered a burger and a prawn sandwich which came in good time by the friendly staff, however the burger which was just under £10 was pretty poor. It was over cooked as were the chips. I felt this was overcharged. The prawn sandwich was extremely thick, lovely fresh bread but inside were very few, small hard prawns in a cheap sauce. This came with a few crisps and a small side salad. Again, I felt it was not worth the money paid. I’m not sure that we will return here.

Had a great breakfast here after a false start. I had heard good reports of the breakfasts served here and stopped of on the way into Norwich, only to find I was an hour early, they. Don't open before 9am.

Popped in mid afternoon on route to Norwich. Had tea for two with cake and scone. Staff very friendly and helpful. Looks like a very good place to stop for hot food.

We were a bit apprehensive about trying out Route 11 due to reviews on here.

We visited route 11 with my mum, partner and youngest son for breakfast. We all had a lovely fry up and my son had a lovely warm sausage roll. The staff were very friendly and even brought my son a picture and colouring pencils for him. The waitress came over to clear our plates and we mentioned we had popped in for our sons birthday breakfast. We this a slice of cake appeared with a candle. It really made our sons birthday morning with his nanny and us very special.

Saw this place had nice reviews so thought we’d give it a go. Bad idea. Ignored as we walked in when no one else was in the cafe. I wanted to switch a hash brown for a black pudding (same price on the menu) on a breakfast...“We don’t do swaps” is what we were told abruptly and rudely from the waitress. The Chef went on to say it’s not financially viable...how? They are the same price on the menu. Him and his staff showed no customer service and we seemed to be putting them out. So we left. It’s not financially viable to watch money walk out the door. Wasn’t the fact we couldn’t switch, it was the attitude and arrogance of the staff that made us leave.

Basically, I stopped to use the toilet and found that I had to buy something to get the code for the door. So I had a coffee and a fruit scone, fresh out of the oven. Delicious.

We were the first customers to be seated when we arrived upon opening and my husband and I watched as other customers arrived and get seated. We watched as the server went to their tables first to take their orders whilst we sat there seemingly unnoticed. I decided not to say anything just to see what would happen and one of the lovely ladies who seated us came back from whatever she had been doing and asked if we had been served yet. I said no and she was straight on it. Fortunately all staff on shift were well organized and the barista got through the drinks orders like a champ so we didn't have to wait too long. I ordered an oat milk latte and tarragon mushrooms, my husband had the full fry up. Food was delicious and hot. I felt the pricing was a bit off between our two dishes. Mushrooms on toast with 2 poached eggs and a bit of spinach £12 yet my husband's big fry up also had toast, eggs, mushrooms but then had beans, tomato, bacon ,sausages, black pudding for £14. Not a complaint, more of an observation. When we went to pay, the cashier read out what we had ordered and said Almond milk latte. Good job I don't have a nut allergy! Overall a nice experience, delicious food, friendly staff, excellent chef. Will return.

This was a good cafe. Very clean, attentive staff and a surprsingly good menu. Plenty of options, from a very impressive all day breakfast to an excellent Brunch and lunch menu. We are on holiday and are going back to get lunch one day during the week.

Walked in Sunday afternoon with no booking, staff were so accommodating and friendly, made sure food was available and offered us a table. The food was amazing! Huge Yorkshire puddings, plenty of vegetables and vegetarian options available too. Will definitely be returning.
