Great coffee and lovely cake. Friendly staff. And dogs are allowed in the place . We didn't eat other than cake

we found this nice little gem of a cafe while walking round Withernsea, we where welcomed with a smile when shown to our table, the lunch time food was very tasty and nice and warm ,it was that good we went the next day, it is also dog friendly, if i say glass of milk you will know who we are thanks, we will go back the next time we are in Withernsea

Cheap and cheerful little place, nice walk down the beach to get to it from our caravan at Parkdean (around 15min walk). Greeted by lovely lady, genuinely warm to our family of 2 adults and 5 children, took her time to listen to the children's orders and patiently allowed them to order for themselves. Food served quick, fresh and hot and great value for money, total cost less than £70 to feed us all with a glass of wine and pint of cider included! A few veggie options and soya milk would be great, but the cheesy chips were spot on and delicious after a day at the beach!Cheers!

The venison sausage with mash with onion gravy was delicious! Love the varied menu that is being offered and the food is always well presented, piping hot and very tasty!

We had a lovely lunch at dog-friendly Route 1033 cafe, Home made chilli and chunky chips (chef came over to see how spicy we wanted it and it arrived perfectly spiced) and a delicious freshly made and piping hot panini with side salad and chips, cold beer and a rich latte. We returned the next day with friends and had a fabulous breakfast. This is a great cafe, with welcoming and attentive staff, nice atmosphere and consistently good food! We will certainly be back.

Me and my partner are currently staying at Fairview Luxury Lodges and found this great little place whilst having a walk around the town. It’s small, but cosy. I had the 16oz t-bone steak (rare) with mushrooms, tomatoes, peas, onion rings and fries, and my partner had the New York burger with onion rings, coleslaw and fries. The food was delicious, piping hot, the portions were a good size and well presented. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They seemed very popular with the locals and everyone who came in seemed to know each other. Very relaxed and nice atmosphere. Loved the decor. All in all we paid £29.90 for 2 meals, 2 cokes, half a pint of lager and a pint of dark fruit strongbow which we thought was great value for money. Definitely worth a visit and we would most certainly return if we’re ever in the area again! • Date of visit 21/12/2019

We had a couple of days down here the end of August. This was a lovely place, not very big but food is gorgeous and great value for money. Staff are lovely and popular with locals. Husband had the rack of ribs and I had Chilli. Would highly recommend

Had a nice breakfast, some good coffee and a friendly welcome at Route 1033 this morning. The lunch menu looked good too - we will come back and sample that another day. Dogs are welcome inside the cafe.

Food terrible staff don't no what there r doing waited aged for food complained to the manager who was rude and arrogant stay away

Was only peckish and called in here for a snack had the roast beef sandwich , omg was amazing with thick onion gravy and proper beef not the thin crap other places serve will be back !

We were going to be in Withernsea for a few says so looked online for things to do / places to eat etc once we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised when we found Route 1033 as it looked completely different to the abundance of standard seaside eateries available. The rustic decor and indulgent menu appeared perfect as a treat after a long walk. Sadly, what we found when we arrived in person was something completely different. Instead of a dark wood, smokehouse with a branded frosted window featured in the photograph online we found a typically decorated seaside cafe with several different names. The Pit Stop is what it appeared to be called, it was only when we walked passed and saw a banner on the side of a railing / fence that we realised it was also Route 1033! When we went in there were several menus available - the one left on tables had no burgers available or anything else you'd expect at a smokehouse. There were some Route 1033 dishes advertised on the specials board but from what we could see only one burger option, the 'Big Bertha'.It was certainly big but it most definitely was not filled with Aberdeen Angus beef as it claimed. Instead the burgers were thin, burned pieces of frozen meat you'd get from a super market. It was advertised that this burger would come with pulled pork too, which it did not. Needless to say, similarly to the decor, it looked nothing like the online photographs.We were undecided if this used to be 1033 but now belongs to new owners who have taken it down a new route. If that's the case it's a real shame as they seem to be making a very poor attempt to cash in on a business that was once decent. Or if it's owned by the same people and, perhaps, there's not enough people in a sleepy seaside town like Withernsea who wanted to spend £7.50 + on a burger. Either way, it's a real shame as this was a big disappointment.

I've got to say.... Kathy has surpassed all expections... her Sunday Lunch will leave even the hungriest person totally satisfied... Highly recommended and at £6.95 Is great value for money.

We had breakfast here on Sunday morning,all very good,bonus is free refills on tea and coffee. All portions were very good and generous. Items were swapped out without any issues making for breakfast with no wasteage. This place now has a name change to The pit stop.

This place does some very tasty sounding dishes. We had the massive breakfast and we were not disappointed. Tasty sausages and bacon as well as all the trimmings. Refillable tea and coffee too which was offered without you having to ask for it. Good friendly service.

The place is very clean , well decorated and American in feel. We had lovely drinks and excellent lunches . Service was also very good. Toilets very clean (nice scented handwash too)

Lovely food, perfect for meeting up with families, place so warm, & clean, staff never hurries to see if you want to order, they wait while you ready.

My wife and I were staying in a holiday home in Patrington, and the following day we drove into Withernsea for lunch and then a wander around the town.

Thank you to Emily & all the staff at Route 1033 for exceptional food & service. We visited twice during our stay in Withernsea, both our lunchtime & evening meals were freshly cooked to order, piping hot, delicious & excellent value for money.

Visited Route again this weekend.. (Saturday Evening).. went with a good friend to sample the new relaxed menu and latest addition of draught beers.

Second visit hoping for a big improvement but a disaster this is far from being a proper smoke house the ribs I had were just warm my mate had a burger again just warm and to round it off he cracked a back tooth on a piece of bone in his burger this place may talk the talk but it's a glorified cafe that's it very poor menu if it's supposed to be a smoke house where's the brisket etc ? no we will not be going there again

Sorry but this place has nose-dived since making changes. We used to love it but are now gutted at its demise.

Very disappointing, we arrived at around 12.45pm, the restaurant was about half full and there were two or three people seated outside.

We're really looking forward to celebrating my son's birthday at this restaurant. Found it online looks fantastic. Went to withernsea for short break rang Thurs night to book table for Friday, was told sorry not open evenings at the moment... So gutted. Called in on Friday morning but had already had breakfast and couldn't manage steaks and gormet burgers for lunch, staff said they stopped serving about 2.30. given it a mid review as can't say it was good or bad as didn't eat there. Only wish we could have gone for evening meal. Will however try again when next over that way.

9 am on a Sunday morning and we were about to try somewhere else as the place was in darkness, it was just opening, despite that service was quick and the food was good.

Having never been to Withernsea before we used Trip Advisor to find somewhere for our evening meal. Route 1033 took a bit of finding but there was plenty of parking nearby once we got there. First impressions were that it was quiet for a Friday evening, I felt a little apprehensive but we ventured in. Two adults, two teens and two kids, we were seated quickly and given menus. Drinks ordered and arrived in good time. Food ordered, two steaks and four burgers, the wait was minimal really. The food was delicious and fresh, everything appeared to be homemade and was very tasty. The portions were large but not too much and the prices were very reasonable. The waitress's were attentive and polite, they checked on us at various intervals and were accommodating. As we were leaving the place was getting busier which was good to see. We would definitely visit again. Just one thing, take cash as there's no card payment facility.

There aren't many places to eat well in withernsea so I was delighted to find 1033 smokehouse on my first visit to the town in 15 years.

Had differing reviews of this place when I asked so we decided to try it for ourselves. Tbh we won't be going again, my husbands burger was virtually burnt, my chicken tasted of nothing and the whole place was so smokey it made our clothes smell and our eyes water. Didn't seem overly clean either, with the toilets in a very strange area. Quite expensive for Withernsea as well, so think we'll stick to the Indian.

Went in for lunch , the place was very busy which is always a great sign . Very clean and attractive and the toilet was also very clean and well maintained. The flood was excellent , cooked quickly and hot .

This is a lovely restaurant in the seaside town of Withernsea. During the day it is a cafe with a great chef. In the evening it is a restaurant with a smokehouse menu. The owner and staff are so friendly and are very accommodating for children. It sells a good range of alcohol, beers, wines, spirits.

Called here tonight 18/02/17 . Looked all over Withernsea for this place, glad we found it because the food was out of this world. I had the tbone steak and this was the best steak I have ever had. (The chips were a bit naff though.) This was accompanied with the freshest salad .

I visited on the evening of the 23rd June 2016. I had just been to vote on the referendum and saw 1033 was open. I am not a coffee drinker, but decided for a change I would buy a coffee there was a good choice. I decided on an Americano and it was beautiful. Served in a long glass mug on a saucer with complimentary biscuits on the side. I love the interior and the cakes on offer look divine. I picked up a menu and the prices were very good. I have been back since for those Americanos and sat outside in the little contained front area. I do not eat meat, but will be taking my son and his family there, for they do eat meat and the food being served looked the business. Go and enjoy a coffee and pick up a menu and see if it is a place for you, for a family meal, I saw there was offers on at certain time when kids eat for free, I do not think you will be dissapoitned.

Went for a meal with family. Ordered the '1/2 a hen'. Came out really dry and barely ate any of it. Complained at the end when family had finished and all the waitress said was 'oh, I'll let the chef know.' Disappointed not to even get a sorry.

First of all, if you're veggie or vegan this place is not for you. The fact that they think tuna is a vegetable tells you all you need to know.

We enjoyed visiting Route 1033 with friends. Had a great evening, enjoyed the food (although service was a bit slow when we were there), and we'd definitely go again.

We have visited Route 1033 as a party of 4, we have been previously and wanted to treat our daughter and son in law to an anniversary meal. Between us we had a mixed menu and we all enjoyed our meals tremendously. Steaks are the best Ive ever had, so tender and tasty and the presentation is fantastic. Recommend to everyone who tells me they are going out for a meal.

Would really recommend this place well worth a visit foods out of this world and staff are are so friendly 10/10.

An impressive menu, I didn't know what to pick. The food was yummy and enjoyed by all our family. Family friendly and fun decor.

First time in Withernsea so reliant upon trip advisor for a restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Cosy welcoming little place. Staff friendly and helpful.

The American inspired food is delicious and plentiful. The menu is varied and you can change sides to your own preferences. I chose the sirloin steak which was very nice and done exactly as I asked for.

Very good large portions and very hot too. Friendly atmosphere. Very clean and tidy seating area too. Free parking outside well worth the money Downside no card machine to pay.

This was No1 in With and now it's No 3... Thought we would give it a try for breakfast and the menu was good... love the combination of pancakes and English breakfast but have to say that the beans used were not top quality and that detracted from the experience as our plates were SMOTHERED in them... everything else was OK.

Visted with family, very accommodating with children...brought over Crayons and picture and went out of way to make kids happy. Food was really good, all of family agreed....definitely recommend.

Having tried the day and evening menu I thought it was about time to try the Sunday Lunch....

Visited early yesterday evening, 4 adults and 2 children under 5. Very good service, excellent food, very generous portions. The rump steak was as good as any I have eaten, very tender considering it was rump, the 1033 burgers were fantastic and the rack of ribs were perfect. The children's meals were very good too. We will definitely be returning. I must also mention the bill was very reasonable also.

Good food and good value ,welcomed our dogs. Governor very friendly and accommodating. On main road diagonally opposite Aldi ...

Absolutely loved this restaurant, and visited 3 times during our week at Withernsea. Never been to Withernsea before but would definitely recommend a trip to Route 1033. The burgers and ciabatta's are fantastic, full of flavour, and really good value for money! Presentation was excellent and the food was extremely delicious.

Just stopped off for a Coffee and Cake, really good Coffee Cake. At last somewhere a little different in Withernsea! Loved the decor certainly beats the rest of the Cafes in Withernsea stuck in the 1950'S.

Was in the area and stopped for breakfast. Had a cuppa and sausage sandwich, it arrived quickly, cooked fresh and good quality sausages. The staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if in the area.

Ordered 4 beef Sunday dinners really luvli food and large portions the Yorkshire puddings were home made and really nice mashed potatoes . Kids had chicken nuggets chips n peas the nuggets were 100% chicken breast. I would recommend and go back.

All cooked fresh to order, burger buns very cold but other than that fine. Cooked a nice bit of chicken for our gluten free daughter. Sweet potato fries a nice change.

I had a delicious Caesar salad, but my friend had an average beefburger hence the three stars, she was disappointed considering the reviews we had heard. Hoping it was just an off day!

Ate out of this place wen first open nothing to right home about the staff were misruble the food was rubbish and cold trying to be some thing it's not scruffy inside toilets are discussing was using good food to start now using cheap food and still charging the same prices. Most of the good reviews are from people known to them this is making Patrington heaven food look bad.

We visited this place a few weeks ago and the food was fabulous..steaks melted in your mouth . We returned last weekend expecting the same standard of meal but it was on a totally different level. We had steaks again but my partners t bone was more like a pork chop in size..mine was very tough, fatty and greasy..I had to hack at it to cut up.

We went here after a blustery walk along the seafront, having checked it out on Tripadvisor first. We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table even though it was only 6pm on Friday. The food was excellent - between us we had ribs and burger. The service was efficient and friendly. Dessert menu not very inspiring though so we didn't gave one. Would definitely return.

A small little resteraunt with its own style and friendly family atmosphere. Unusual opening times may catch you out, Tuesday to saturday during the day when they serve a general cafe menu. Wednesday to saturday evening it turns into the smokehouse. I think, the times may change. We all had the lighthouse stack burger which was served with sweet potato fries for two of us and regular fries for the rest. the burger is too large to eat as one and has to be broken down into its parts, chicken breast, and an egg fried in an onion ring. The burger itself is home made but succulent and juicy due in part no doubt to the cheese in the meat. While eating I saw a large T bone steak served, and I mean large covering half the plate. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food, and we left feeling well fed rather than full. This establishment is a little gem, well worth a visit from anyone in the area, and we will be making a special trip.

Went here for Father's Day tea and the welcome was a s good as it always is. The table had reserved due to us booking and we were offered drinks straight away.

I walked up to the counter to order my coffee. The lady snapped 'yes' and was far from welcoming. I was brought my coffee, which I have to say, was quite good, by a young lady. I thought the interior looked scruffy, but the note on the menu made me chuckle, an incorrect word 'bare' suggested that all customers and staff should be naked! I know tht this establishment is popular, but I shall not be going back.

Now this review is based on me going in the day I cannot vouch for the service or food quality in the evening but I don't intend on ever finding out.

Service was very slow, waited 45 minutes and even then my grandson's burger had been forgotten. Food was cold even though "cooked to order". We were offered free coffee and puddings which helped but would not go again. The waitress kept saying she was sorry and that she should have been in the kitchen. Not a good impression to give customers.

Class above any other place to eat in Withernsea ! Was quick service food was beautiful. Eaten hear 4 times so far and can honestly say it's amazing. Thank you for a great service !!!!!

Popped in for coffee and a warm after being blown along the promenade. Warm welcome and loved the graffiti tables. Spotted the American pancakes on the menu so ended up ordering the pancakes and a breakfast. Pancakes were homemade and with plenty of bacon and maple syrup - very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and generous portion. Look forward to a return visit. Very good value.

Had a very enjoyable evening here 2 weeks ago a very busy nite and quick turnover although service was shud we wernt rushed food was very very nice although I don't think we will have camel burger again all new experiences

I have eaten here with family and friends on a few occassions and the food has been great. The staff are always helpful and welcoming.

This family run business is perfect in every way . The burgers are to die for & if your in withernsea you have to visit!

Came here for a meal with two friends, I order a chicken burger, the chicken was pink, there was a hair in my burger sauce, One friend ordered some sort of BBQ chicken and the BBQ sauce look as though it had been sat out for ages, it had a layer on top of it (like when you microwave custard and leave it) and the service was extremely slow. Very disappointed and will definitely not be going back to Route 1033.

Along with The Old Boat Shed, this place is creating a new feel for Withernsea. The owner and his family are to be commended for bringing something exciting and interesting to Withernsea.

Food was tasty and served by pleasant people. The lighthouse burger was huge! My other half almost finished it.

Visited with my husband- what a little gem this place is in Withernsea! Both had the "burnt ends" brisket starter, beautiful. I had a 10oz rump which was cooked perfectly and honestly melted in my mouth -it was so tender I was blown away. Hubby had 1033 signature burger he couldn't praise it enough. The portions of fries were really generous and they were well cooked although not seasoned -however there's salt on the table so that was easily remedied.

Fantastic can not fault it at all. Would recommend this place to anyone. Great food and great service.

Have been to this restaurant twice now and not been disappointed with the food and service. Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. More than generous portions, I have not been able to finish my meal both times. Would recommend for any age.

Good waitress service, attentiveness and speed, food didn't take too long to be served to us and was fresh and hot, way too much to finish, we had a steak (perfectly cooked), pier towers burgers, 2 free kids meals, a fudge and ice cream desert and a waffle cream and strawberry desert, 4 J2o's and two teas for around £40 was acceptable enough.

After reading reviews we visited with a party of 7 including 2 children. On arrival we were all accommodated on the same table which was great. Clearly a family run establishment who care about what they do. We received a warm welcome and friendly, helpful service with particular attention to the needs of the children. We all enjoyed the food and will definitely return next time we are in Withernsea

Fourth time we've been here, just gets better each time, good food, great staff, reasonable prices, nothing more to be said.

I went here with friends to celebrate a 30th birthday, as there were 16 in the party we had to pre-order and I struggled a bit with the menu as burgers & fries aren't my thing. However on the night the food and service were excellent, everything was piping hot and my starter of prawns & mushrooms in a creany garlic sauce were delish as was my half a chicken coated in sweet chilli sauce. we had a brilliant evening so a big thank you to the Team 1033 who were also very good with the 2 little ones in the party. I would certainly visit again.

Had dinner here for my sons birthday the evening spent with family. The venue is great the staff were fantastic very friendly and the food was really good we all really enjoyed our grub...good sized portions great night and we will be going back. Will be recommending smoke house as a place to definitely go to.

From first messaging on face book the service was excellent ,prompt reply ,Myself Husband who is a power wheelchair user was made welcome the moment we entered ,nothing was too much trouble ,the food was excellent we had 2 half a hens ,T bone Steak and a 1033 burger all where served with chips, coleslaw ,side salad ,and usual trimmings The Granddaughters loved the cans that the chips where served in .

ordered the prawn starter but had very small shimps in not good value not as good as i was thinking it was going to be it was very disappointing visit

Booked to go last Saturday 5th arrived early for our table but was greeted with a welcoming smile and sat at our table straight away. All the staff were polite and went above and beyond to ensure ever guest in the restaurant was happy. Every member of staff on shift made the effort to check on our table several times through out the meal they all seemed genuine and appreciated our custom. Cannot fault the food at all good portion size and the presentation looks amazing and fits with the whole theme of the restaurant. We all enjoyed it so much we have already booked to go back on Friday we couldn't even wait a week until we returned! When visiting family in Withernsea we normally only had choice of the local Indian restaurant but not anymore this is a really good alternative and a must visit whenever in the area! Good food. Great service. Family run business who are clearly passionate about offering great food. The starters were lovely - we tried them all. My friend and I shared the rips and a 10063 burger. The ribs were good, the burgers are amazing!

First time visit but definitely not the last fantastic meal, super quality and quantity! Imaginatively presented and really good value. Can't wait to return. Top tip don't eat anything before you go!! Really friendly hosts in Rick and Natalie definitely a place to put on your must visit list
