I love this café. Great menu, tasty food, and friendly staff. I was studying with a couple of friends and they were more than happy for us to be there, which is unusual for cafes who usually try kicking you out if you have a laptop. I had the granola bowl which was so tasty and great value for money. I will be back soon

This is now under new management but still excellent. Friendly staff who keep the coffee shop spotless and you get service with a smile. Lovely decoration with new tables and chairs and well lit cabinets with mouth watering cakes . Order and pay at the counter and brought to you when ready, Whether you want breakfast or just a hot drink and something tasty to go with it don't just walk on by but pop in and give it a try as you won't be disappointed. Also available for take aways. Would recommend this with no hesitation

There are a lot of coffee shops in the Morningside / Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh, but this is a favourite of mine. The character and ambience of the place are excellent, with friendly, welcoming staff, spacious, and everything spotlessly clean, including the loo (that's important!) I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel which was delicious, and the coffee is excellent - that's important too! Nicely located in Morningside Road.

Found this lovely wee coffee shop when having an early morning wander aroundMorningside.. Pleasant staff, good coffee and pastries at reasonable prices . Will know wher3 to come to when next in this area.

I know i am Baisis but i love Roundsqaure reason i am Basisis is because i know the Manager but thats no eccuse for what i am about to say / Roundsqaure is a brilliant cafe and if i did not know the Manager yes i would go again only because everything about Roundsqaure is so so lovely and yes they are kept busy: in the Main i would evan put them in a compution and see if they would win best cafe because they would have my vote because they are brilliant

We had the most wonderful breakfast this morning at Roundsquare and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Morningside area. The staff were lovely and made you feel very welcome and the food was very tasty and well presented. The coffee was great and the tea I had was an Edinburgh company Pekoe Tea which was wonderfully refreshing and I will be purchasing for home. Nice to see home produce being sold. I certainly will be back and encourage anyone to make your way to Morningside for a very pleasurable experience at Roundsquare.

Passing through Morningside and thought I'd revisit Roundsquare Coffee House. I've always found the coffee to be consistently good and today was no exception. And the foam art work brought a smile to my face.

If you are a porridge lover too, hundred percent you'll die for it. Perfect coffee and home-made cakes and brownies available as well. Salted caramel and gluten-free brownie is a masterpiece.

Firstly lovely vibe and place is so clean. They were so friendly and kind to us, made my day. Incredible cakes and pastries, and I could’ve had absolutely everything from their food menu. Do yourself a favour and go visit!

Fantastic coffee and the best bacon butty I've had for a long time. The cakes looked great too but didn't have room for anything else! Above all there's a lovely friendly atmosphere about the place.

I grabbed a slice of their red velvet cake to take out and it was amazing. Perfect balance of sponge and frosting - the best I've had in the UK! I've not eaten in here but the atmosphere is lovely, very chilled, and the staff are fab.

Amazing coffee mid morning, so good we went back and had very tasty toasted bagels for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

I visited Roundsquare twice in one day and each time the service and food were impeccable. The couple who were serving obviously enjoyed what they were doing, they took time to explain the menu. Also, the Coffee House gives great attention to complying with Covid regulations. Top marks Roundsquare I will be back.

had the nicest lunch earlier today, can't fault the food and such lovely staff, the service absolutely made our day! :) so nice inside we will definitely be back.

This coffee shop in Morningside is the absolute pits...sure maybe the food and drink is fine but the owner has been flagrantly breaching Covid regulations since May 2020. The premises are tiny...so it’s impossible to physically distance..no sanitiser available...no track and trace system in place... If you like a side order of deadly virus then go by all means...

One of my favourites around the city, the coffee is really delightful and the staff are friendly - a nice spot for a solo venture or small study session particularly as the ambience is quite understated

Friendly welcoming cafe with excellent coffee and spacious seating during covid. We felt safe and happy here and the coffee and food they serve is good quality. I would recommend if in the area to visit.

We had lunch here on Monday and although the 2 people serving were really busy they were so friendly and apologised in advance that there might be a bit of a wait. The food was delicious and satisfied both the vegetarians and meat eaters in the family. The cake selection was also very tempting. Coffee was lovely and I was very impressed by the coffee art! Thanks for the delicious cinnamon bun too. We will definitely return on our next trip to Edinburgh.

This is the best coffee in Morningside. Coffee is so smooth and very pleasant to drink. They also make great waffles with nutella and fruits and home baked cakes. Must try their lemon cake!

Avoid this cafe during Covid. Food and drink order was taken at the counter yet no Perspex screen. At no time were we asked to supply our contact details. I came across the book by accident when coming out of the toilet as we were leaving.

There's a big choice of coffee shops in this area but this is one of the best. The things I appreciate at a coffee stop is a nice welcome (and also good-bye), good coffee, and a newspaper to read. This one has the added bonus of delicious scones served with fresh butter and jam. It's also dog friendly, although my cocker doesn't generally sit at peace. Maybe I should give it a try ........but I'll definitely be back, with dog or otherwise!

Delicious coffee and scones, beautiful place, wonderful staff and they are dog friendly too, so , this is our second visit and we keep coming and enjoying this lovely coffee shop.

Pasé muchas veces por este café y quería probarlo desesperadamente. Siempre se veía tan moderno y acogedor. Finalmente lo probé y superó mis expectativas. El personal es muy amable y agradable para conversar. Ofrecen alternativas de leche de almendras y avena. La leche de avena que pedí fue uno de los mejores cafés que he probado. Simplemente absolutamente delicioso. Probablemente el mejor café donde he estado.

Although the service can be slow and meticulous, it is worth waiting for the best coffee in Morningside. The decor is modern and there are lovely big windows to study people walking up and down the Morningside Road

This is a very Scandi style cafe with clean cut lines and attract chairs, benches and stools. The staff are very friendly. They have lovely croissants and goodies. My friend tells me their coffee is top notch. But they don't do decaf tea...come on guys, we don't all want to drink fruity/herby teas to avoid caffeine.

Roundsquare is the perfect place in morningside for a quiet coffee. It's small but has lots of seating that's ideal if you need to to a bit of work on your laptop. They make my favourite hot chocolate in Edinburgh, its really indulgent and they always have dairy free milk!

Serendipity and happenstance brought us here at nearly closing time. No problem for them to organise some oat lattes and some fab vegan brownies! Great service and really good quality coffee and the brownies were sublime! Do not pass this place without a visit!

I dropped in here as I had 30 minutes to kill in Morningside and had a very nice iced latte and peanut brownie. The guys were really friendly and chatty and the overall vibe was laid back. There was a mixture of people working and families. I sat at a table (emblazoned with “no laptops”; they are confined to the high stool bar area...which I quite liked) and they brought my coffee over when it was ready (pretty quickly). The coffee was excellent, the brownie was small but delicious and so rich it was perfectly sized. All round very nice.

Stopped in to RoundSquare for a quick coffee. Friendly staff and good music. Nice and quiet mid afternoon so felt welcome to linger a little longer than intended 😊

I hadn't been to this place for a while and I remember their coffee is really good, even though I find their sits very uncomfortable. So I poped buy before lunchtime, order coffee and brownie, paid and had a sit at one of the tables. Then, I dared to get my laptop out of my bag.

This is my neighbourhood spot and I'm so fortunate to have them. The staff go out of their way to provide great service and are very accommodating. One day, when I came in to buy decaf, they gave me a cup of it because they didn't have any bags in the shop. They've also brought in a bag of coffee for me to purchase (the guy came into work even when he wasn't scheduled) just so I could buy it as a gift for my partner. I highly recommend this spot for its coffee, food and atmosphere, too.

This very chic coffee shop is indeed spartan in design yet has a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is good, the toilet is super clean but best of all the staff are smiling and friendly! After a spate of being exposed to the chilly hipster service that seems to the thing now for some many cafes and restaurants in Bruntsfield, it was amazing how refreshing a welcoming smile was. My new favourite cafe!

This coffee shop is opposite my fabulous hairdressers. Hamptons of Morningside. The service is brilliant, the coffee immense and the location is perfect! They also serve food which I've yet to taste. But the coffee alone makes it a great place to stop!

We have just visited this coffee shop for the second time and it's fair to say the serve the best coffee we have tasted for a long time. Cakes are pretty good too (seem like home made).

In Edinburgh for few days, I tasted one of the best coffee of my short life lol, intense taste and aromatic, well balanced. Warm atmosphere, cool guys, smooth cappucino, perfectly done ristretto, good music... for affordable prices. In short : it's a so cool spot for coffee lovers...

Simply went for a takeaway coffee,loved every aspect of the shop! The coffee machines were all new and high tech, the surfaces clean, staff remarkably friendly, the coffee well priced and delicious! The takeaway cups were even 100% compostable! What's not to love

I was in Morningside and had half an hour to kill. There are no shortages of places to grab a coffee in the area but Round Square caught my eye. The environment is lovely- clean, modern and comfortable. The WC is very nice too- always worth a mention when a toilet is not just an afterthought.

A great new pop up in the Morningside area with a bright, open space and friendly staff. The baristas definitely know their coffee! And from their enthusiasm in interacting with every customer; it is clear that they enjoy their job. Very welcoming and friendly!

Walked past a few times on the way to things but finally got to go in today. Place is very modern and provides sockets for both UBS ports and laptops so great place to do some chilled work.

Great new coffee house in Morningside. They offer things like pastries/ croissants/ toasted sandwiches as well as some outstanding coffee. The latte art is pretty impressive too. Staff are friendly and approachable and there is a nice atmosphere about the place.

Only open for two weeks. Great meeting place with fantastic tea and coffee. Proper brewed tea and pour over coffee as well as the usual ones. Lots of attention to detail including plugs and USB ports and lovely atmosphere.

A new coffee house to Morningside Rd. Ultra stylish and modern but most importantly: fantastic coffee which they roast themselves. Try the El Salvador as a pourover 10/10.
