Tried the biryani it wasn't good

We placed a order for 10 people and all the food was cold thrown away paid £170.00 and told them and and we all was said I'll talk to the chef totally disgrace we've been going there a long time and the last 4/5 occasions have been poor thought we give them the benefit of the doubt but not again

They served me rotten food with no apology when told about it. The environment just outside is dirty and not befitting for a restaurant.

Devastated. Kept ordering from them since they were too good in the beginning. It’s been a year we kept going back even though they had the worst food. Never again. Dine in feels like you eat in a dumpster.

Very quiet In fact we the only table in , also very cold mind you we came in the afternoon. Not as great as expected Biryani a bit blunt, not much flavour to it, however a portion is enough to share for two Tandoori prawns overpriced,I believe 16 £ Not high end cuisine I suppose! Positive is the decor and juice drink is good size ! Toilets also in disrepair state lol All in all needs some jobs done around the building But hey not to blame as everyone struggles ATM Probably won't be back But for a quick break not bad I guess

Have had the pleasure of dining here multiple times this year. Staff are so welcoming with a polite manner. Their crispy wings and egg fried rice are absolutely sensational and consistent, they’re a must order for me. Great value for money as portion sizes are generous. Overall would highly recommend.

Worst Indian I've ever had , the curry's all tasted like microwave meals and my sister had food poisoning the next day

dont pay their employees worked there for many months nothing paid owner is called nakash and he dont pick up my phone or calls he owe me alot of money i have a family to look after even manager subhansh ignores alot of students got robbed please avoid this place at all costs

Very bad food. So unhygienic and very poor customer service. I ordered a chicken biryani and it was not at all good. It was just yellow rice with some old re-heated chicken. It was so so so bad. The tables were not clean and the bathroom was so so so bad and smelly. No one even cares about the hygiene there.

Bunch of thieves, bought supplies and never paid. Ignored messages and calls and always made excuse after excuse. The worst type of people to do any business with

Very cold in there. Extremely slow service ; it took 20 minutes to receive the poppadoms and drinks. Yoghurt sauce and chutney watered down. Starter and meal nice but no salad with tikka starter. Small child screaming ( I got a headache) and running around ; parents had no idea how to keep the child entertained( what about a book ?) ; not the fault of the restaurant except that the slow nature of the service was definitely a contributory factor to the restlessness of the child and to the less than pleasant experience.

Nice place, authentic dishes and reasonably priced

Great food and hospitality. Tried the Nepalese curry and was one of the best I have ever had. Our server was also super with a laugh and a smile and timely service. Thanks to the team for a great night.

I ordered takeaway for 5 people. I was told 45 minutes and it arrive 90 minutes later. The bill was £92.50 and the food was not edible. The management refused to refund. This is by far the worst dining experience my friends and I have ever had.

It used to be good but it was a real disappointment this time. The tandoori chicken did Not have any chargrill flavour, poppadom was not fresh and crunchy, it didn't come with any dips,chutney at all. The biryani was 100% let down, flavourless and tasteless. Jalfrezi wasn't great too...sorry but won't be ordering again..What happened to the quality you used to have?

Very bad experience I had. They took so much time to get order and in preparation. I have read the reviews their priority is only Sheesha Lounge customers not a place to worth your time. They consume your time and poor service. Food is average. I came from London but will never come here again will recommend to go to other places in Hatfield.

Just enjoyed a super meal at Hatfield's Roti House. We both thought it was a little gem, delicious food and very friendly service. Quite a basic menu but what we chose was very good and we'll definitely return.

Thought we would try out this restaurant that we don't usually notice. Free parking nearby too. The food and service were excellent, a genuine surprise - The chaat starter and the Kerahi Chicken were delicious.

It was a pleasant suprise. Heard the music as I was passing by and I went in to check it out. No regrets at all.

Work here and you won't be paid. Do not eat here or you are supporting exploitation of workers. They gaslight employees and refuse to pay them until they shut up and go away.

Worst service in years, waited 40 minutes to get the drinks and another 40 for food, food tasted off, used to be a great place, now it a place to avoid.

I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Service very poor we’ve waited for more than 30 minutes for our drinks and they were also very poor quality. I don’t recommend.

It took two hours for us to get our Shisha and the staff actively ignored us. Not happy. Will not be returning.

Visited today and was left disappointed. Food lacked flavour and was extremely stupidly spicy. We had told the waiter to let chef know to make food mild. This wasn’t listened to. We were pretty hungry so did just eat for the sake of it, my wife on other hand who was pregnant couldn’t risk the food due to spice. We informed the staff about the spice who then spoke to manager and at first offered us 25% off our bill, but upon advising that my wife is pregnant and chef shouldn’t have been making spicy when we’ve requested mild, the staff member advised that they will cancel our bill for their mistake and then remade the food as a takeaway. So fair play to their customer service. Unfortunately it will not be a place I visit again.

Went in not expecting much but found the food absolutely beautiful. Butter chicken was amazing and the naan may be up there with some of the best I’ve had. My dad said the same and had the peri burger which he said was the best burger he’s ever had. The place was a bit cold but overall I loved it.

The food was not as great as it used to be. 2 hours late for the food! And it should be a 15 minutes trip. What a joke. Super unhappy. The curry leaves in the aloo was dry old almost. The lamb vindaloo.. sorry where was the lamb? Where is the spice? What a joke. On top the bhuna wasn’t impressing. And plain yogurt was so warm.. clearly being 2 hours late. Urgh never again - 2 stars only the fact the food arrived but it should be a 1 star.

Never again. Went after Golf. Place was cold. The well used photo copied menu on a clipboard. The condiment chutneys . came in previously used dirty containers. Prawn masala and aubergine bharat was raw and diabolical. The o ly saving grace was the sweetcorn, mogo and chili paneer.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews however, after the renovation, we thought we would give Roti House another visit. Having read the reviews, it is an utter shame that the negative comments are true. Firstly, apparently their heating was on full blast, when requested to crank it up, yet nearly everyone was sat eating with their coats on and it was still chilly. I get cost of living has gone up, but you dont need to sacrifice the comfort of your customers, what kind of hospitality is this? Secondly, we were served chipped plates, but nevertheless it was still in one piece to be eaten from. Thirdly, the food lacked something! Starters were OKAY! Crispy bhajiyas were not crispy and too salty from the chaat masala, the tandoori wings could have been done with bit more cooking and bit more masala or salt, 2 portions of pani puri were ordered however arriving 10 mins apart from each portion. Not to mention some of the puris were falling into the water making it hard to get out and soggy. Mains again lacked something, the lamb was requested to be spicy however it was soft and little sweet. The chicken was nice untill at the end the spice kicks in, as if the chef just chucked a load of chillie powder at the end and not cooked it enough. Forthly, in regards to service, it was just one girl on her own working, to catch attention was hard at times as she was jumping from one table to another. She kept asking if the food was ok, but it's not like she could have done anything about it. It is fair to say that we wont be visiting anytime soon if at all. Just a shame to have something different like this in Hatfield, yet not authentic enough.

Then I called the restaurant they said they will bring it to me within 5 minutes well its been hours now I'm guessing they aren't sending it at all as we where waiting for the rest of the order to eat as you could imagen VERY disappointed and will not be ordering from here again!!!

The mogo starter was stale, dry and fibrous like it was refrigerated from another day! The sweetcorn starter was a lump of batter that was separated from the sweetcorn kernels and my garlic naan had large areas of raw dough. The lack of care towards the food preparation was even more apparent than the lack of culinary skill and that’s something a consumer should never have to settle for. I would never want to criticise a local business but in this case for the customers safety, this place should be avoided. The new owners have different priorities and that seems to be the shisha lounge in the back….whatever it may be that’s going on in the back there!

Food was nice but I had to fetch my own menu, ordered water and Garlic Naan which never came. They only had 2 other tables to serve at the time. Really disappointing- service needs to be upped.

The usual clueless people have taken over this restaurant.. this used to be the best restaurant in 2019 and 20 .. nothing is authentic indian about this restaurant .. it is a disgrace to indian food .. aa thoooooo

3 out of 4 vegetarian starters unavailable…..Desserts not available….. limited single malts….after we finished our dinner, they mentioned they have an event…..also, never bothered telling us beforehand of so many unavailable items. Lastly said pani puri on the house…...guess what…..came back saying it was unavailable. Never ever recommend this place to anyone or visit again.

Ordered some food for collection. After waiting for the time that they mentioned the food was not ready. After going to restaurant they started cooking even though the restaurant was completely empty at the time. Even the taste of the food was not good, found a piece of stone in a naan.

Ordered as a takeaway for it to take 3.5 hours to turn up. Said it would be 1-1.5 hours. When calling the store we were told it would take 15-20 as they had spoken to the driver, same think told every 30 minutes to chase up until the food arrived which the driver said he had left the restaurant 30 minutes previously. Clearly some lying and terrible customer service going in. And the food was cold and horrible so I won’t be returning.

Food was stone cold nam bread not even cooked , ever thing we ordered tasted the same and veg curry was like frozen mixed veg absolutely the worst food we have ever had Shame on the chief for sending in cooked food and all tasted of cardemon

Visited Roti House today and was extremely disappointed. The place was extremely cold. We and other customers sat with their coats on throughout. Starters took 45 mins to 1 hr to arrive since order. The Chilly chicken and chicken wings were tasty but apart from that food was bad. The mains of Kadai chicken, paneer gravy and naan bread were not very appealing and didn’t t taste good at all. There were left over plates of other tables for a good hour before being cleared. The plates were chipped. Please avoid this place specially during winter. Thank you

Used to be a great place earlier. The last 5 times we have ordered their service has deteriorated. The food tastes different every time. The just delivered biryani with poppadum that was cold and soggy. Used to be our favourite restaurant but now their service has gone down completely day by day. Do not recommend it at all.

Loo only one for over 40 covers...unisex...filthy. Kitchen...dirty pots everwhere! Bartender...no idea at all! Bar...filthy glasses on it all way through evening. Tables and chairs completely impractical...floors beneath were covered in bits of food that had fallen through...garden furniture! Stay away unless you like squalor

Lovely Indian restaurant to visit #amazingambience Delicious food, polite and friendly staff. I visited last evening on 05/09/2022, special thanks to both the front staff who were working on that day. I will surely recommend this to others. I will suggest Chef to add desserts in the menu.

Please avoid this place at all cost I went to have dinner here with my wife the food was average but the worst thing that can happen was whilest having my dinner they had a delivery from ASDA for all of the drinks like coke beer and juices where my wife had a juice for £2.25 the carton was from Asda and was for 80p Asda own brand this place is more for shisha then for dining

From hero to zero! This was one of the best Indian restaurant we encountered for a while which kept us going through lockdown and more. And for the last few times this has been the 'WORST' possible food we have had in ages! Beats the worst curry house. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Worst place I ever visit The staff is also busy in their own work First of all there’s weird smell in the restaurant and they put some plastic wrappers and cardboards on the table and the staff is not friendly at all Food is also very bad and google don’t have other options that’s why I give one start but seriously they don’t deserve one star also such a worst experience can’t believe this type of restaurants are still open!!

It may not have the kerb appeal but the food makes it up for it. It is as authentic as it gets to Indian food in Hertfordshire. Love the egg curry and naans. Love the vast list of vege choices on the menu. Great food joint if you think you don't fancy anything in galleria.

We have been to Roti House with the kids today for dinner and had a lovely time. They have changed the ambience, chef and the staff. I must say, the staff is very polite and welcoming. The food was lovely and loved Paul’s magic tricks. Yes, Paul (a great magician) shows magic tricks at weekends. Thanks, folks you made our evening!!! We highly recommend Roti House, especially on weekends so you don’t miss the magic tricks!!!

Visited here three years ago and saw mushrooms growing from the toilet floor - no joke! I don’t know if it changed since then.

Had Chicken biryanis Hyderabadi VERY disappointed the entire dish was crammed into one standard takeaway container so all mixed together. Very little chicken in the dish and paid extra for the Hyderabadi and was very underwhelmed .Would not recommend this dish .

This place takes no pride in its surrounding area. This is far from a one off, always mountains of rubbish piled up outside complete with rats. I dread to think what the food is like inside.

Order here tonight over the phone ask to pay by card said was fine deliver would have a card Machine took over an hour and 40 minutes even though I had call the restaurant twice and both times told me it would be there within 15 minutes finally comes stone cold and the driver want me to send him the money into his personal account to pay! I return the cold and have been left with no dinner! WILL NEVER BE USING AGAIN AVOID

Best and real Indian food and not like the other “Indian” restaurants around. You don’t get samosa chaat etc in other so called Indian restaurants. Love their food and service!

Though it is a famous Restaurant,Customer service is very bad.

We attended with the family and as soon we walked in the first thing we noticed was dirty glasses on our table that had not been cleared from the previous customers. The service has got a lot worse since new owners have taken over they are like a bunch of kids who are constantly chasing them selves and there’s no system of service at all. The food was really bad and the cutlery given to was filthy after complaining the manager in his best English apologised. Avoid this place its gone down hill they are more interested in takeaway service the looking after people in the restaurant.

Waited 25min for poppadom to arrive and 40min for main course and there were only 2 other customers dining in the restaurant at the time. Seemed like lots of takeaway food being prepared and delivers being collected, however dine in customers weren't being prioritised. Had to get up and walk to the bar to get waiters attention. Avoid, not worth the 1hr wait for food.

Beautiful place to hangout with friends. The food is very tasty and hot. Visited more than 10 times the staff was soo friendly and polite they always keeps smile on faces.
