Roti House in Welwyn Hatfield

They did not deliver my order and wouldn't answer their phone when l called.

Didn't answer the phone (twice), marked as delivered 20 minutes late without delivering anything. Food is presumably still in Hatfield somewhere, but not at my address.

I don't normally leave reviews good or bad but I had too here . Payed high price for a meal I asked for not overdone, I waited 30mins in the restaurant and had a beer which is fine . Food came all over cooked like not even close everything way over cooked never going back .

So I’m not usually harsh in my reviews but I must warn others about coming here. The toilet STINKS of human feces due to the fact there’s a bin full of used toilet paper. This MUST be emptied out more than once a day, it stunk the surrounding areas out. I got a takeaway bag and even that stunk of it. The food was average. The waiter was kind. The lamb kebab was pretty good alongside a mango lassi! Do your due diligence, and if you can, hold your toilet requirements until you’re home. I hesitantly recommend this establishment for dinner.

Butter chicken was perfect so good will definitely recommend

They won’t let you order chilli chicken in just eat , but they would let us in Uber eats . If you go to the restaurant and order chilli chicken , they take it like the end of the World . Very bad customer service.

BEWARE!!Ordered food for collection. Went into the restaurant and sat at the bar table. Got a bad feeling. Telling me not to even wait. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. 🧐 bad choice. The food went into the bin. Phoned them and they didn’t want to hear about it. I said I wouldn’t feed this to my dog! Food was priced high so I thought it was good.

I placed a home delivery order, but the food were delivered much later than the time mentioned on their website. I called them to find out why my food hadn't arrived yet. They assured me that I would receive it in 10 minutes, but even after 20 minutes, there was still no delivery. I called again, and they gave me the same response. After waiting again and still not receiving my order, I called once more and found that they blocked my number. I finally received my order 40 minutes later. When I checked the order, it was incomplete. I called them again, and they promised to deliver the missing items. Since I wasn’t at home anymore, I asked them to deliver the missing items the next day, and they agreed. The next day, I called to confirm, and they said it would take 1.5 hours to deliver the food, even though they are only five minutes away from me. Because I was very hungry and couldn't wait that long, I requested the food be delivered at a specific time the following day, and they agreed. However, the next day, they didn’t deliver the food, and when I tried calling them, they didn’t answer. I am very disappointed with their service. First, they delivered the food late, and then the order was incomplete. I never received the missing items that I had paid for. I do not recommend anyone to order from their website because they are scammers. If you want to order food, use Uber Eats instead, where you can at least claim a refund. I’m 100% sure they are scammers.

The food was inedible, no salt in paneer and the biryani was curry with the rice thrown on the top. Butter chicken could have been served as a dessert. No sauce with paneer . Horrible taste

Popped in for the lunch deal, a veggie thali. Excellent value for only £5.99. A poppadom with mango sauce to start. Followed by boiled rice, a plain naan, really tasty takka dal, veg curry and fresh onion with lime pickle. Very impressed with the food.

Bland taste, undercooked paratha, overcooked chops...very dissapointing

Poor Quality. I ordered for Lollipop chicken, they gave us chicken wings which were very lightly marinated, so disappointing 😔.

I have never experienced such disgusting food! I couldn’t call it Indian food because usually Indian food is nice. The sauce was like consommé soup with zero flavour and the samosa’s weren’t even cooked. Naan bread was uncooked inside and it was all disgusting. Never have this delivered as you’ll only be hugely disappointed

The expected delivery time was 40-60 minutes. It arrived after 90 minutes. The food was a very long way from their usual standards. We phoned them and they did they agreed to replace most of the items. It took another hour for it to arrive.

Lamb biryani was a pot full of rice, next to no lamb, no veg curry. Taka Daal was hot with a chill in it like a Daal Samba but it was ordered for children and usually has no spice. No cheese in Cheese Naans. Very late.

Ordered two naan breads and some poppadoms to take away. Waited double the time they told us we would have to wait, only received one poppadom, mint sauce was like WATER. Will not return.

Was looking forward to getting a takeaway from Turan as the food has always been very good, and not been for a while. Went on a Monday and they were closed so decided to give Roti House a try as I had not been there for years, and used to go when the place was formerly Everest. Never again, the food was truly awful and I can honestly say I cannot remember ever having a worse takeaway. I’m not sure who cooked the food but obviously not someone who knew how to cook, in fact calling it cooked would be doing it a favour! It was all tasteless and covered by unheated, uncooked oil. The portions were very small and only the rice and the roti were acceptable though very plain. I eat quite a lot of Indian/Nepalese food and have done for many years, and this is the worst I have ever had, and by quite some distance. There’s no chance of me ever returning and I would advise others to stay away.

shocking service food was cold when it arrived had to microwave everything just eat told me if left at 6.30 and didn't get here till 7.40 and when I spoke to anyone as I rung a few time was told lots of different thing about where my meal actually was to then be cold when dropped off ridiculous

This is the best Indian restaurant in Hatfield! I have been coming here for over 2 years! The food and the customer service is always spot on! would highly recommend this place.

Worst taste , worst customer service , never follow instructions. Sometimes I honestly have to question myself as to after so many disappointing experiences why do I even order from them ? All they have to offer is online discounts but what about your food being as per your request , or the rude staff who would hang up on you after you point out their mistakes ?? HONESTLY IF YOU DONT HAVE THE FUNDS TO RUN A BUSINESS THEN SIMPLY DONT !! If they want to survive in the game they need to change the management , when people spend their hard earned money anywhere they have reasonable expectations which they fail to deliver each and every time . We used to come here all the time for the best Nepalese food and it was amazing Came here for the first time in about a year and something has gone horribly wrong The chilli paneer starter that used to be the best I’ve ever had was so far below the previous standard Onto the main course of lamb gurkhali that was once again one of my favourite dishes Just tasteless gravy with too much heat and tiny cubes of lamb so far off the standards we were used to So so disappointed with our meal that until we hear the standards have been upgraded to the previous years we will not return Such a shame as I loved this place

They flavour their food with hopes and dreams. A little bit of salt and probably a drop of pepper. But the service was amazing and the waiter who served us was great.

The shisha is the single worst experience ive had the displeasure of trying. The food was also 93.6% oil. Just go to PSG potters bar if you want something whoch is cheaper and 1000000000000 times better

Most comfortable place with delicious food. Spoken to chef in regards to the recipes the biryani, curry were up to the mark with fine taste. Highly recommended to visit and try the food.

Best chicken biryani ever definitely gonna come back!!!!

Came to dine and have shisha with my friends had the most amazing dinner where the server really knew how to take care of the customers. The vindaloo especially id recommend to every one who comes here. Even tho we were students we felt the staffs deserved a tip so left 10 pound tip. And lets not forget about the amazing smokey shishas that were served to us. we had a verity of flavours to pick from served in the lounge side. They also had a discount going on, 2 premium shisha for 30 usually a premium shisha is 25 pounds. Overall really great experience with lovely food and caring staffs.

Been using roti for few years but seems now has gone downhill a bit , tikka was like a tomato soup not lot of seasoning and lots of water ... chicken was bit rough .. kemma naan and rice was nice and milkshake was lovely tho

I thinks have to stop ordering from Roti House, it’s again not good taste and food portions was so small when you paying full prices,I would definitely not recommend to order from Roti House.(its not first time same food orders)which Veg Manchurian was very Soggy and too much Dry chilli flakes.Mongolian Paneer was too oily and Turmeric powder,whole peanuts (Seriously) & again too much chilli flakes),Gurkhali chicken & chill garlic mogo with too much turmeric powder & again too much chilli flakes

Tried the biryani it wasn't good

Paneer makhani was awful,it was absolutely bland.Naan was pretty hard to chew. Roti house was so much better last year.Whenever I order nowadays,it always disappoints.

We placed a order for 10 people and all the food was cold thrown away paid £170.00 and told them and and we all was said I'll talk to the chef totally disgrace we've been going there a long time and the last 4/5 occasions have been poor thought we give them the benefit of the doubt but not again

They served me rotten food with no apology when told about it. The environment just outside is dirty and not befitting for a restaurant.

cold food missing items curry had literally 3 pieces of chicken no flavour at all

the meal was nice but I've noticed a reduction in portion size I used to get a whole tub of chilli lamb now only half and the chicken pokoro supposed to be a whole bag last time I had a quarter of a bag I think that's disgusting considering the prices now.. I've also noticed the chilli lamb has gone up 2 pounds the egg fried rice has gone up 2 pounds and the chicken pokoro 1pound that's 5pounds more per customer and with the portion sizes reduced too U are going to lose alot of customers shame

Food cooked but no flavour at all I have a chicken korma and naan bread . The korma had no flavour the sauce wasn't the right consistency and taste bland the naan bread still tasted powdery. Just no flavour at all the samosas was the size of a fortune cookie tiniest thing I've ever seen with nothing in it. The Bombay potatoes taste like water when biting into them again no flavour covered in sauce but bland as anything . Not a good order . Didn't look appealing taste appealing or smell it. Ans

Chicken starters were good but the chicken korma was very watery and salty.

I am unhappy with the order. Fried rice was completely salty and almost black in colour. We have had quite a few times but yesterdays was pathetic. Not expected such quality from inconsistency from Roti House.

Very quiet In fact we the only table in , also very cold mind you we came in the afternoon. Not as great as expected Biryani a bit blunt, not much flavour to it, however a portion is enough to share for two Tandoori prawns overpriced,I believe 16 £ Not high end cuisine I suppose! Positive is the decor and juice drink is good size ! Toilets also in disrepair state lol All in all needs some jobs done around the building But hey not to blame as everyone struggles ATM Probably won't be back But for a quick break not bad I guess

I paid 16£ for LAMB bhuna and you guys delivered two boxes of sauce without any lamb, this is unacceptable. I can understand over 1 hour delay but delivering to people something like this is disgusting

The food wasn’t the best at all. This is the second time where the food was a disappointment .

We love the food from Hyderabad flavours however was disappointed with the last order as the Hydrabadi Chicken Curry was replaced with the butter chicken. Not sure if this was deliberately done or not.

Have had the pleasure of dining here multiple times this year. Staff are so welcoming with a polite manner. Their crispy wings and egg fried rice are absolutely sensational and consistent, they’re a must order for me. Great value for money as portion sizes are generous. Overall would highly recommend.

Ordered 2 half tandoori chicken with tandoori roti. The chicken didn’t have any flavour- no salt and or sauce on the side, just with plain white onions cut in slices. We had to add lemon, salt etc to make it tasty to eat. We have ordered before from this place and food was amazing, may be they changed the chef.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication when there is a delay. Customer satisfaction is no a longer a priority for Roti House if they are busy.

Very bad food. So unhygienic and very poor customer service. I ordered a chicken biryani and it was not at all good. It was just yellow rice with some old re-heated chicken. It was so so so bad. The tables were not clean and the bathroom was so so so bad and smelly. No one even cares about the hygiene there.

Korma was more like soup and watery

Food was disgusting, that did not taste or look like butter chicken. Chicken was orange and sauce was oily and red colour.. shame it ended up on the bin and had to re order something else.

Wouldnt order again. Curry was pure liquid. Called the store within 5 minutes of the delivery driver leaving my house to ask for them to either collect and refund or some kind of refund. No help from them. They refesued to help in any way. Would never reccomend
