Service was ridiculously slow. At the start of our evening we were the only ones in the restaurant. We got drinks and poppadoms really quickly but then it was at least 20 minutes before someone came to take our food order. Food came at a reasonable time and was really nice. When we finished we were given a dessert menu and then waited over 40 minutes for someone to take our dessert order so gave up and put on our coats to go to the bar and pay but were told to sit down and wait for the bill for another 10 minutes. There were only 3 other people in the whole restaurant who were being served quickly. Me and my partner are both female and can’t help but think it might have been a factor in being pretty much ignored.

We often visit Bipash. Friendly staff. After recently visiting another 'Popular' Tandoori in the WGC centre, we decided to return to Bipash. On this last occasion, we had a delivery ar home. As usual, the food was hot and very tasty. Bipash is the oldest established Tandoori in WGC, and it is in our opinion the best. Highly Recommended.

This is our favourite Indian restaurant in WGC and friends who visit always want to go. The staff are so friendly and they will adapt dishes to suit you - making a mushroom madras especially for our vegetarian friend There are the usual dishes plus some specials which we are working our way through Another friend in France always asks us to bring a takeaway over when we go. He recommends the chicken phall if you like it super hot!

Being going Bipash since I was a young teenager in my 39s now and still my favorite curry house

Fantastic meal, I had the Naga curry which was superd. Wife had Dansak and daughter had a house special. We loved it and well worth a visit.

Joined friends for a lovely meal. The food was very tasty and presented nicely. They were able to cater to food restricted requirements. Great night.

Had to edit an old review because no way of sending a new one ..bipash has crashed again. Poor quality of ingredients again lack of quality and quantity. I take it its been taken over again with an owner that's wants to reduce quality and quantity.

Bip ash has been my local Indian for years always got top service since the owners have changed the food is not fit for consumption the meat looked off and tasted like hard rubber. Lost me as a customer for sure…

Came out for a meal last night with family and too enjoy a nice evening, and to be honest was disappointed with the quality of the meal and service we received whilst we were there. We have a daughter who has a gluten allergy and we asked several times about the flour used for the poppadoms and it took them sometime too come back with an answer, and also we also asked for a gluten free menu which we was not provided with. The starters that we received was of not a great quality me and my partner had the king prawn puree and it was very basic and not much flavour at all, my partner also had a coke of which she said was flat. And also it took some time for our main meals too come out after we had finished our starters and for them too clear away our starter dishes, the main curries were nice but definitely not the best I have had from an Indian restaurant could do with some improvement. And also the level of service provided was very basic and the staff seemed more bothered about the delivery service than they were the customers in the restaurant. The only good thing about the restaurant was that the price was reasonable for the amount of us that dined there, but other than that we will not be in a hurry too return. Picked a curry up no flavour to it at all. Potato's were rock hard and numb bread was so small u could eat it in two bites

Been coming here on and off for 20 years, the last few years not so much, the food very slow to come out not the waiting staffs fault also food insipid, we t there last night what a surprise timing and food amazing, found out they have relief chef at present, if the owners read this keep him on. All you lost custom will certainly come back, complements to the Chef.

On 18/06/2022, not for the first time we (2 x couples) booked a table. The restaurant was busy, but we were attended to very quickly. The service was very good (as usual). The food was delicious. This is definitely one of the best Curry restaurants we've been to. I know experiences can vary, but we've never had a sub-standard meal yet. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal here last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our food was wonderfully tasty, plentiful and well priced which was served with a nice pause between courses. The only downside was the decor being a little tired. We will make the effort to be back 😊

Much better than I expected. Fine tasting food at very reasonable prices. I last visited about 10 years ago and wasn't overly impressed but now in 2019 it was much better. Service was friendly and efficient. The photo includes saag aloo, chicken tikka dhansak, pilau rice and keema naan - all for £11.95p Update in May 2022: regrettably they are no longer offering the "Gourmet menu", let alone for £11.95. So I ordered fewer items for a similar price (£10.45) I.e. samosas as a starter - excellent tasting, followed by chicken biriani, which comes with a vegetable sauce. Both the biriani and sauce were well presented, and also tasted excellent. Finally, they provide a delicious chocolate with the bill. Yes, I like this restaurant.

The food was lovely. My son is fussy and he loved his. There was a marked difference between each curry in taste and texture so obviously made with care. The onion bhajis was the best i have had for a very long time. I over ordered and they gave me a container to take it home.

Greeted by a first-class ignorant tw@t and I considered walking out but decided to stay.....I was then made to wait for a table albeit there wasn't a person in the place and then I was told they would give me a table because I was dinning alone! What a W@NKER

We ordered a takeaway from here and were very disappointed. The food is ok, but very bland in comparison to others. The service was far from friendly too. They don't even supply dips with the poppadoms. There are at least 5 other indian restaurants within a mile that are better. We won't be trying Bipash again.

We'd made a reservation, but were still made to wait while they sorted out several collections, one of which had been returned for being wrongly delivered, we should've left then! The guy running things that night had zero charm, manners or idea how to treat diners in a restaurant. He repeatedly barked 'what you want?' and 'decided now?' at us, even though we had our menus open and were clearly still choosing. The food arrived just warm enough to be edible, but they didn't put the dishes on warmers, so they soon started getting cold...the food was OK (naans were nice) but only OK...there was no flair or flourish to any of the dishes...no fresh coriander or other touches to dress up the dishes...the food was fairly priced, but pretty bland and nothing that impressed us, despite us ordering one of the more expensive dishes 'Thali' on the menu. All in all the food was OK and occasionally the waiter relaxed and remembered how to do his job, but he really shouldn't be serving customers as he had zero charm, manners or idea of how to serve anyone At the end of the meal he openly asked us to pay our £50 bill in cash and when my female partner, who was trying to treat me to a meal, awkwardly said she didn't have that much cash he said there's a cash machine nearby, if we wanted one! We didn't 'want one' and said we'd rather pay by card...he shuffled off muttering and came back with a card reader, which we paid on. He then said 'service not included', shoved a bowl in the middle of our table and proceeded to pace up and down behind us staring at the bowl, waiting for a tip...HE DIDN'T GET ONE! When this place fails it'll be almost completely because of the guy running it...pity as just a few simple adjustments would make things far better. Been looking forward to my take out.. Used to get them ftom here years ago... it's been a while since I ordered... but treated myself today... I felt like I was an inconvenience when I ordered.. The guy serving sermed too harassed to care.. and the food is watery, luke warm and nothing like it used to be

We came for a family celebratory meal, however - as I’m writing this - I doubt we’ll see our food this evening! Arrived at 6, order taken at 6:45, still waiting for our meal at 7:30! I feel for the only waiter on duty tonight, as he has been trying to juggle phone orders and seated customers, but the ridiculous time taken for our meal - especially with young children with us - is unacceptable. I hope the management are aware of this and deal with their lack of attention to ALL of their customers.

Rapidly going downhill its ashame was a decent curry house once

I visited eat in with my family last night. After 1 table left we were the only diners. We arrived just after 7. We had starters at 8, a good 45 minute wait. Starters were good to be fair. Main course, ordered with the starters arrived at 8:55. Again, 2 of the 3 mains were ‘OK’ but my own main was dry, even if the menu said it had a luxurious sauce. My sons were dinking Diet Coke. Refills were in the same glass without understanding of which was who’s. We didn’t eat all our food. I requested to take the food home. We were given containers and a brown bag! So it was a ‘do it yourself’ service. So, food ok Delivery Time awful Staff close to being rude Disappointed of WGC

Haven’t been here for 4 years as I moved away. Now back recently and went to order some food. The guy was on the phone sweating and looked panicked. I said have you got a table for 2 and he looked disappointed. I said you want a bigger group? And he smiled. I walked out with him just staring. What’s happened to this place?

We had a excellent meal tonight and are so grateful we have come back to the Bibash. New ownership better service and food than a couple of years ago. We will be back.

My husband and I took our granddaughters (6 and 7) here for a first experience of an Indian restaurant. It's friendly cosy and has a relaxed atmosphere. The food is lovely and we enjoy the music. Aurora and Violet had a lovely time describing the restaurant as "very fancy"!!

So where to start. I have used this indian restaurant for many .many .years since my early 20s I'm now 56 I would say at least one curry a week for 2 people. You do the maths .have had a good few meals for various birthdays over the years with all the family at least eight people usually more .anyway I would of recommend this place to anyone .but sadly not anymore .it was taken over about 2 yrs ago buy to partners I believe one being from the don .now if you have eaten in the don .you will know it's a lovely new refreshing feel about it .the food is lovely if you eat in .but get a takeaway and it is average at best .so it would appear that trend has to moved bipash so after being taken over I have endured so many wrong orders very poor cuts of meet .one week my lamb tikka starter was so rough I had to take it from my mouth as I would of chocked on the grissle not the fat .even my bulldog struggled to eat it .then there is the inconsistent sauce on the curries the above picture is there idea of thick sauce .that I requested .I'm sorry to be so blunt about my favourite restaurant. But I'm so dissatisfied with the customer service on several occasions I've been half way through my order and been told to wait please sir while they take another telephone order .I have spoken to them on many occasions to tell them I happy to wait while they take a order they are on. but please dont take half my order and ask me to wait .tonight was the last straw after excepting to interruptions during my order the third was unacceptable. I explaid to the waiter that's it .I've had enough I'm not putting up with it and left .30 years of loyalty I've never rung up to complain about the food when its wrong or bad just eaten it or thrown it away .I've noticed the restaurant is quite and it's not covid just poor food bad customer service .they have had some lovely guys working there Dillon especially but they dont last long .because they care and and will always try to compensate any issue you have had .so obviously not good for a failing buisness. Advisers doing deliverys until 10 30 pm but when call at 8.45 get told no deliverys and then hang up answer phone rude wont be use them again

Was advertised as gourmet night with 11.95 for starter, main, side and rice or nan on website also on menu outside on Tuesdays but told this was not the case. Food was OK but service was slow and we were the only ones there and staff clearly couldn't be bothered. Won't be back ☹️

Customer service was poor had to wait for 2 employees at the desk to finish the conversion and after I ordered had to wait again why they carried it on. Food was very poor meat was dry. Will be last time I will be going there.

Food was lush BUT we ordered pickle to accompany the poppadoms and this wasn't included with our takeaway despite paying for them thus dropping one star.

In these unprecedented times of Lockdown Bipash our Local wonderful Indian came to the rescue.it was my partners birthday and we normally go and eat at the Bipash . They kindly lent me thier plates and a menu and we ordered a takeaway. Made it a special dinner for two at home . The food was delicious. Thankyou to all the staff and manager's. Cant wait to return when this is over .

First and foremost I LOVE THIS PLACE. Great food and wonderful customer service! The restaurant is a great spot for family, friends or corporate events. Abu the manager is also great! Tremendous dude very helpful & kind. The restaurant is also very clean, compared to other restaurants.

I have eaten/had takeaways from Bipash a number of times, and have always found the food tasty, fresh and generous, but have had to wait rather too long on some occasions for service (once over an hour longer than estimated for a takeaway. They did give me a free half pint as compensation!)I have recently been to India and sampled many delicious dishes, and I can honestly say I enjoyed some of them less than I did my favourites from Bipash!

Lovely food and lovely service, best vindaloo in welwyn by far

Decided to go here after craving an Indian for a Friday night dinner. Food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either. The portion of my dish (Lamb Tikka) was ok, however the naan was a real letdown. The naans were quite soggy, very sweet for some odd reason & only cooked on one side. Plus they give you this horrible yellow sauce which tastes like paint. I’d possibly recommend the restaurant down the road.

Went last.night for our anniversary , service was bad and portion size has got smaller but still the same price, the beer was flat.and the naan bread was burnt and disgusting, didn't get the hot flannel at the end , all in all very disappointing

I’ve visited this restaurant about 30 times in the last year while visiting WGC for work. The food is usually good and the service decent. However I went in tonight as usual and asked for a table for 1. I was asked to sit in the waiting area despite there only being 1 other table occupied in the restaurant (there must be 20 tables in total). After waiting for ten minutes I was then told by a member of staff that they’d check on my order. I walked out. I’m not sure if this place is under new management but I didn’t recognise anyone in there. Such a shame. Used to really like this place. Will not be back. Ever

Regular customer that was getting repeatedly fed up with complaining when our food was delivered cold. Don't pay over £30 to then have to heat our food up in the microwave!! We've waited over an hour and half for our food tonight and eventually phoned and cancelled our order. I dislike complaining and continued to be a loyal customer despite the problems we've had, as we like supporting local businesses. Customer service is a disgrace, they think offering 10% off redeems everything lol. This place is a joke!! Unless you like to wait all night for your meal to then eat it cold I'd advise going elsewhere.

Been twice on a Friday evening recently. Not busy, seems like the customers are regulars, atmosphere feels like you and your family are visiting a distant relative , it's really strange. Food isnt too bad, fairly priced, generous portions, generally well flavoured, but started have the odd addition of olives....

since being taken over, the quality and presentation have vastly improved. Dillan and Apu are great hosts, attentative but not too much.

My wife and I have a special affinity with the Bipash restaurant - it's where we first properly met in June 1989,and where I proposed to her 30 years ago in December 1989.The food is fabulous, the service is great - I highly endorse and recommend the Bipash.Unfortunately we are now from Kent, and cannot visit as much as we would like to - but the fact that we drove 100 miles to have a meal here should be testiment enough as to what a great restaurant it is.

I love The Bipash, been going here for years! Even went last Christmas Day! Always fabulous food, never had a bad meal there. The staff are so friendly. If I have to make a complaint it would be that they serve coke from a large bottle and on a couple of occasions it's been flat! Try Royal Chicken it's the best.

Waited over an hour for food to arrive, everything was fine accept for my chicken tikka masala, texture was like I was eating cous cous and chicken for dry. Asked for a refund, was told they don’t do refunds with card orders, then was offered 10% off next order, said I wouldn’t be ordering again from them again, I then settled to have chips sent to me and then was spoken to rudely not that wasn’t from the beginning but was told they have customers to take orders from and so wasn’t I a customer then? I was then given excuse after excuse for the food for how it tasted and texture to the point I gave up with them and now ended up wasting money and gone without dinner. Wouldn’t mind but I’ve been a regular for years. New management sucks.

Been going to the bipash for years. Friendly efficient staff. Food always good relaxing atmosphere.all the good ingredients for a pleasant dining experience. Tonight for 4 we had chicken and king prawn rozala chicken jalfreze and a chicken dansak. With rice and vegetable dishes. All were well received.

Placed a large order and the restaurant had been recommended. Most of the food was good but the onion Bhajis were tasteless and not crunchy. The butter chicken was unlike any other butter chicken. The sauce was just oily with no normal creamy consistency like it should have. Should have been creamy with the richness of melted butter. Instead it was greasy. Had to drain the chicken meaning that there was no sauce. There was also a lack of seasoning throughout the meal, which meant that it was fairly bland and tasteless. Really disappointing. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Been in for takeaways quite a lot and sat in on the odd occasion, recently though there have been couple of occasions when the orders have been incorrect, wrong meat etc, if you ask for lamb you end up with chicken, This has happened more than once, whilst having a beer waiting for the order you tend to notice other things like most customers for takeaway checking their orders saying have you put this in have you put that in which makes me think its not just me! The front of house feller constantly clearing his throat snorting and hacking this, that and the other made me feel I was in the audience of "It aint half hot mum" or he is constantly on the phone. Finally the carpet ...Heaving, it wouldn't take too much effort to have it cleaned, it looks like its a black one with a red border!!!Come on fellas sort it out.....The Don down the road is a much better experience

The only let down was the poppadoms didn't arrive with rest of meal and i had to ring up and request them. The same driver brought them to me and he was pleasant. Apart from that enjoyed the meal.

We are here while staying at the nearby Pear tree inn. The food was really nice quality and served quickly without being pushy. The staff were lovely and price wise absolutely unbelievable. We had poppadoms etc starters two main meals and drinks for less than 40 quid. I could not believe the price for the quality of not only the food but the service as well. Highly recommend this restaurant

I normally order from Bipash and am very happy but this time a little disappointed. The delivery driver stunk of cigarette smoke which when taking the bag I noticed that too smelt awful. Not great when your food has a cigarette odour on it so this kind of put us off already. All the food was tepid hot so not transported in a warm box/bag which meant I had to heat it slightly in the microwave. Finally the popadom was smashed to pieces. All in all not the greatest experience

The staff gave a rather mixed reception. One man waiter was very friendly, the other didn't smile readily. The food was good. The food was hot (temperature), well cooked and well presented. We had an enjoyable evening.

Very nice as always. However medium curry is now rather mild, so ask for the medium dishes to be a bit hotter if that is what you prefer.
