We stopped here before heading to the theatre on our day out in London. Food was lovely and reasonable priced. Staff were lovely but service was a bit slow. Overall we all enjoyed our food and visit and would definitely go again and recommend.

Outrageous prices for the quality of the products! The pizza is mediocre, while the fries are pre-frozen and immune. Salad cool, nothing great. Nice atmosphere and kind staff.

I had breakfast with a member of my family. If the location doesn't seem right at first, the food is incredible. It was really very very good

Bad, overpriced food. Disgusting tables and toilets. Moreover, they add "tips" to the bill without asking you. Tell them to ... off if they will ask for tips.

Had late afternoon lunch here yesterday 11th April. My smoked salmon tagliatelle just about acceptable. My partner had breaded cod chips and salad which looked and tasted like breaded fish from Aldi, Lidl or any other supermarket. Minimal signs of fish inside a very dry coating. When we complained another breaded cod was brought us - guess what. Exactly the same as the first one. For the money charged this dish is an absolute rip off. Avoid this place!

The food was so disappointing, a frozen supermarket pizza would have tasted just as good if not better. After bringing the food no servers checked in (presumably as they know how bad the food is). Speaking with diners at the surrounding tables they also complained about the bland food, one of whom returned their main and received a replacement that was just as bad. When I complained to the staff about the food they told me that they would have replaced it had I come to get them. They gave me the bill including a 15% tip they'd included (it was only myself and my daughter eating), which when I complained they argued about not taking off. They did not remove it, I paid just to get out which I should not have done however I did not want to argue. The next table refused to pay the tip the server included and the manager came over and argued with them about how they should pay as it was nothing to do with the quality of the food. When we left they were still arguing as the manager did not want to remove it. Would never go again, clearly a restaurant for tourists who would never have a repeat customer.

DO NOT GO ! Poor food quality - it is tasteless and does not look good. I advised it was not good as left most of it. I was offered a free dessert - I had chocolate cake it was dry and tasteless again. When the bill came we opposed the 15% service charge as the food was bad - they explained and agreed the food is not good but the service is for the serving staff not the food, so would not take it off or any discount on food as they said when they checked on us my partner had said it’s ok! The bill £86! We paid to get out and when my partner told the front of house chap in a baseball cap (not professional) he became rather aggressive. The 2 tables near us also complained. A rip off !

Pleasant service. Fast service and good, hot food. There were 11 of us and we got a seat right away. Recommended.

The food was average, the pizza was not what I expected from an Italian restaurant. Very friendly staff. The place is not pleasant at all.

Not impressed! Chose this place as it looked good plus we wanted to get out of the rain. Chose breakfast, when it came to the table the food was warm. Cheap ingredients, food was not tasty. Heard a staff member telling some other customers to leave the table (they'd just finished their meal) as they needed it for other customers, which didn't make sense at all as there other available tables.

I don't know how it is on other days, but on New Year's Eve in this part you don't have much choice where to eat. You go where there is free space. Although the food is not one of the culinary experiences, it will not offend either. After all, what can go wrong with chicken and pizza. The pizza was fine, but the original Italian one cannot be compared. The staff was quite pleasant and fast. I would say such an average restaurant.

Went yesterday and was not impressed! The chap on the door was full of cold and coughing - very pushy. Good was mediocre and table was cleared whilst some of us were still eating - very rude. 12.5 % service charge added automatically and service was dismal Do not recommend at all

We went with my wife and 11-year-old daughter, and they asked us to leave once we were already seated just because we ordered only one pizza, two salads, a white wine, and an Aperol Spritz, as they thought it was too little. Never go there; it was a humiliation for me and my little daughter.

The worst food and service. I’ve had better oven pizzas and the lasagne could have been a £1 microwave one. We left pizza and could barely touch the lasagne. No flavour to be found in anything. Waited 25 minutes for our table to be cleared and told the staff (who I can only assume was the manager) that we wouldn’t be paying for the lasagne. Eventually she took it off the bill and when I said I wouldn’t be paying the service either she laughed and practically begged that we at least paid that. Just vile, a bad end to a great day.

I went here with 2 others. We ordered a pizza, a chicken and a steak. The pizza seemed like it was a frozen pizza from Aldi and ended up with a stomach bug, the chicken and fries were cold and tasteless, the steak was very poor quality. The food would have been acceptable for 1/4 of the price. We also got given a £12 service charge when our server didn’t check with the chef about an egg allergy in the food and forgot to serve one of our drinks.

DO NOT GO THERE!!! When I was settling the bill, the waiter told me they only accepted cash. However, after I paid, I saw the waiter using a card machine for the American customers at the next table. It felt like discrimination and deception! Also, this is the worst Italian food I've ever had worldwide, it doesn't even compare to Tesco's Meal Deal in taste.

Tasty food with gluten free options. A bit pricey, but convenient and nice outdoor seating.

Stopped in for a quick drink while passing. Staff very nice, sat outside which given the cold day wasn't too bad as they thoughtfully had outdoor heaters. When presented with the menus we did inform them not sure whether wanted to eat there. Then over a period of about 15 minutes we were asked three further times whether we wanted to eat! The menus looked good, as just the three of us I asked if we could dine indoors. They presented us then only with a table for two! Awkwardly we were then directed back to our original outdoor table which was then nearly taken by another couple, who then...went indoors to the table of two they offered us. A bit of a disjointed experience!

Das Essen an sich war soweit sehr lecker und auch die Kellnerinnen waren stets freundlich und boten uns einen schnellen Service. Das Essen war nach der Bestellung in weniger als 10 Minuten da! Doch der Blick auf die Rechnung hat uns im Nachhinein staunen lassen: Uns wurden satte 10£ mehr für irgendwelche dubiosen Gebühren abgezogen! Dies hatten wir leider erst im Nachhinein realisiert, als es schon zu spät war 🤦🏻‍♂️ Außerdem haben wir beim Essen gesehen, wie das Personal vor dem Restaurant raucht, während es versucht Kunden zu gewinnen… Nicht gerade die schlauste Herangehensweise, wenn man mich fragt 🤷🏻‍♂️ Ich würde alles in allem (trotz des guten Essens) empfehlen, die Finger von diesem Lokal zu lassen! Es hat insgesamt dann doch keinen guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Die 3 Sterne vergebe ich für das Essen und den schnellen Service. Schade, dass man hier nur volle Sterne vergeben kann, denn eigentlich wäre ich dann doch bei 2,5. Die Gesamtwertung kommt schon gut hin!

Was very worried about this place as we read the reviews after we’d already sat down and ordered! The food was fairly good, no it was not incredible, but the other reviews would suggest it’s ready meals or worse and it really is much better than that and at least in my experience it doesn’t deserve such bad reviews.

Offering breakfast menu till 12 noon. Food is ok and staff are nice and friendly. The atmosphere at the area and the restaurant are cozy and clean. The price are good for breakfast at about £10 per person. A beautiful patio seating area and we had a great breakfast time with family and friends. The only issue is very hard to find them on google as the front door showing “RISTORANTE ROMA” instead not Rosso Italiano

Service rapide, les serveurs sont réactifs. Le chauffage était un plus ! En revanche , les plats étaient immondes. Des pâtes carbonara imbibées d’huile et de crème fraîche, des pâtes bolognaises fades ; manque cruellement de saveurs. Les boissons sont décapsulées au comptoir et non pas devant le client ce qui me dérange très fortement. On s’est consolé au mac don par la suite. Sincèrement tracez votre chemin !

Went there last Sunday and the pizza was disgusting! I sat down I asked if the pizza is cooked in wood oven and if is original Neapolitan pizza which he said yes! Once i got the pizza i noticed that this pizza looks like my local pizza shop!!!! The sauce was disgusting no flavor tasteless and lack of salt avoid going there at all cost then they had audacity to charge me service charge £8

Unsere Bedienung war nett und unsere Pasta hat auch geschmeckt. Ich weis das es im Zentrum von London liegt genau im touri Gebiet aber für 2 erwachsene und ein Kind 90 euro!!!!!! 2 mal Pasta,eine Kinder Portion Pasta und jeder ein Getränk.Vorspeise Knoblauchbrot und das war’s…sorry Leute aber definitiv zu teuer

Visited yesterday. Looked at the menu and my fussy daughter wanted to eat here. When out, I do try to use independent rather than corporate chains. We ordered garlic bread, margarita pizza and penne with chicken and mushrooms. I treated myself to an expresso martini. The garlic bread is advertised as Ciabatta. It was part cooked demi baguette. The pizza if it contained mozzarella it was very little. The pizza was covered in grease from the cheese and tasted like cheddar. The penne with chicken looked and tasted like the chicken you buy in the supermarket pre cooked chargrilled. It was not amazing. I could have done better with Hello Fresh! The cocktail was the smallest I've ever seen. You get more choice and quantity at the IVY. We were asked to move during our meal so they could put the tables together for a bigger party. We obliged. At this point we had just been served so didn't realise how poor the meal was. I refused to pay the service charge as the garlic bread was not as advertised and poor quality of pizza. The table we were moved to was at the front next to fake flower beds with litter in them. I was told I had to pay service charge. I said no as you are not doing your job the place is dirty. Eventually I did get a reduction on my bill. While waiting for the bill a group of ladies arrived and were deciding if they should eat there. I did manage to put them off so that was a bonus.

I never write reviews but this place is absolutely awful & completely overpriced. Pizza & Salmon risotto ordered & risotto was disgusting & sent it back. Pizza was cheap, nasty & horrible! The manager was very odd & pushing people in....the staff were friendly. The place needs closing down reading the reviews!

I’m not sure where to start. If I could give this restaurant minus stars I would, and I’m writing this review to hopefully warn others to avoid this place like the plague. From the start, the host outside creates a welcoming and energetic environment. Don’t be fooled by this, it is a massive con. We had a long wait for food, but this was expected from us for good and authentic Italian, however, when it arrived, it was far far from. I had the king prawn pasta (not sure of name) which is supposed to have fresh tomatoes, basil and garlic, which were not fresh at all, and a total of 4 prawns definitely out the packet. Also over cooked pasta, and for some reason it was cut up as if for a child. There was so much grease you could polish a soldier’s old boots with it. Drinks were ok, but we didn’t order anything special, just a Fanta, orange juice, and a beer with no glass, just from the bottle. Finally, the biggest issue of our evening. My 10 year old daughter finished her drink and wanted to eat the ice as many kids tend to do, and then turns to me with a small shard of glass in her hand, saying it came from the drink. Of course, as a mother, I called the supervisor, expecting a sincere apology and professional attending to. I did not receive this. Instead, the man never apologised once and still wanted to charge me for service, when there barely was any and instead a huge health and safety breach. He was incredibly rude and belittling with no understanding of the severity of the issue and no professional skill or competence. He told me to smile, when my daughter could have been hospitalised. In conclusion, this place should be shut down and such a disappointment for a nice area.

They changed the name to be called Roma Ristorante so beware. Very dry and small salmon, one of the worst salmon I had in my life, How can a restaurant serve food like this? Employee that is welcome guests at the entrance is smoking a cigarette while working and welcoming guests, smoking next to people eating, I have never seen this before I my life. Great service and fantastic atmosphere, great place for a drink, not food.

Husband got food poisoning here. Extremely unhygienic. Reported to environmental health. Staff out front don’t wear uniforms, instead hoodies & dirty jeans. This place is in no way attractive. If you want average food, and to watch them drag trash bags through the restaurant, then go for it.

Food not up to much. Starter tasted like frozen prawns in a canned soup and along with the main was very bland. Over priced for the lack of quality.

Das Essen war minderwertig, das männliche Personal durchweg unfreundlich. Wir wurden mehrfach umgesetzt, so ging es mehreren Gästen. Dann wurde unprofessionell mit einer Kundun gestritten, dass sie sich ein drittes Mal während des Essens umsetzen soll. Und das alles für ein überteuertes Essen. Hätten wir mal vorher die schlechten Rezensionen gelesen, dann wäre der Abwnd besser geworden.

Initially, we experienced a significant delay in receiving our food, with a total waiting time of approximately 1.5 hours during our two-hour visit. However, after bringing up the issue with the staff, our food finally arrived about 15 minutes later. I opted for the Margherita Pizza, but unfortunately, the quality of the pizza was subpar, resembling a poorly prepared microwave pizza. Furthermore, it lacked the traditional tomato sauce that is expected on a Margherita Pizza, which was disappointing. Additionally, the ambiance of the place was hindered by random disturbances such as the sound of glass shattering, negatively impacting the overall atmosphere. Moreover, the restroom facilities were limited, with only one available for use, which proved to be inconvenient. Considering the unsatisfactory experience, it is worth noting that the total bill amounted to 111€ for a group of four people. Regrettably, the overall experience did not justify the high cost, leading me to conclude that it was a poor value for money. If it were possible, I would rate this establishment with a negative score of -5/5.

We had the spaghetti gamberesse and the prawns were raw. We also had the margherita pizza and the dough was raw and the topping was soggy. The service was awful and felt like we were being rushed through and were an inconvenience being there. Would definitely not recommend! Awful

Ordered ‘eggs royale’ and got a slice of white hovis bread with some hard salmon and some gross sauce that wasn’t hollandase. The staff member was extremely rude when we told him this wasn’t what we ordered. It should be a toasted muffin… he then said ‘are you even from here’ (I am, but it’s irrelevant). We complained to the manager & he didn’t seem bothered. Soooooo overpriced. £4.95 for a coffee - and we only paid for our drinks & refused to pay for the breakfast. The name of this restaurant is different to this one - but it’s the same place. This is ‘ristorante Roma’

I visit regularly when working in or passing through London. So friendly, with covered outdoor seating (and patio heaters!) so I don't have to wrangle my bags indoors. Reasonable pricing, quick service and lovely food.

Great place, staff were amazing, we were a group of 9 that hadn't booked anywhere, and they made us feel so incredibly welcome. Food was to die for Portion sizes were spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and when we come to London again, we will definitely be back!!!! Only down point was the service charge, we would have given that much as a tip anyway, but it shouldn't be mandatory.

I'm italian and oh my god, the service, the food, the location, if you are looking for a nice palce to be with your partner or you family, this place is amazing! Italian tradition! You can feel it

C’est de loin le pire restaurant que j’ai vu dans ma vie. La nourriture n’est pas bonne, le service déplorable, les lieux très sales, sans parler de l’état des toilettes… C’est vraiment un attrape-nigaud, une arnaque pour les touristes. Enfin il faut payer une somme conséquente pour le service à la fin. Du jamais vu. J’ai pas l’habitude de laisser un avis aussi négatif mais là c’est largement mérité. Complete rip-off! A rather ganster-like individual seats customers and sets the tone for the place. When you see the bill, if feels like you've just played at one ball under the cup scam! Service was quick - only positive thing to say about the place. Understandably so, when you rip someone off, you don't wan them hanging around. Be warned!

The food here is well over priced and not very nice at all. Awful service, kitchen right next to the toilets! We were charged for £8.95 for a child’s meal which consisted of a bowl of plain pasta. MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Nobody reads the reviews of this place before going to eat there because nobody plans to go there in the first place; the other restaurants have huge queues in front of their door, so you are just starving and looking for a place to go and eat; there, you find Rosso Italiano which has no queue and have available seats so you just think "ok, let's go and eat". Then, when your experience there finished, you'll check the reviews and think: "why haven't I checked earlier?!" Horrible place, horrible food, horrible staff, horrible filthy toilets, and all this included in a super nonsensical expensive price. We paid £100 for 4 pizzas and a cheeseburger and NOBODY could finish their food as it was absolutely disgusting!

I am a Londoner and moved North some 40 odd years. My wife, daughter and I wanted to treat our granddaughter for her 18th. We had just seen a great show and wanted something to eat. My choice to walk into Rosso Italiano .... really wish I had not as I was wondering when I asked for a table for 4. Wanting to go into the restaurant but our path was blocked and was made to sit outside. We should have walked away at that point. We ordered our food and drinks and the wine arrived and the bottle slammed onto the table not opened or poured for us. The food basic was burgers and pasta and although edible it was bland. The waitresses were stood by us throughout the meal clearing each plate as we finished clearly wanting us out of the way. Then I got the bill and included was a service charge of £14.00 what a joke. Over priced and poor quality please avoid and travel into China Town 2 minutes away. Finally, my wife and daughter went to visit the toilet this was not easy as steep stairs no rail she was stunned by the mess she found .... Avoid please this is not what we should expect in our Capital!!!

Expensive and terrible. I literally wanted to stand outside telling people not to go in. £43 for a glass of wine, a glass of water and two supermarket pizza's...and I mean Iceland own brand, not Sainsburys. They put 12.5% service charge on bill and for first time ever I refused to pay for service.

We got suckered into eating at this restaurant. Don’t eat here. There are much better places. The first waitress we had was very grumpy. The food was mediocre. The sauce on the pasta with my chicken Milanese was like chef boyardee. The salad was substandard with respect to freshness. It was also over priced.

OMG. OMG. AVOID if you know what's good for you. Waitresses have terrible manners and slammed down every drink on our table when being served. Pizza was soggy. Fish and chips was OK. 12.5% mandatory tip is a joke as the service didn't deserve any tip. My best tip is really to avoid or pop in next door- That's a better Italian ! Oh and Toilets' were disgusting !!!

I had the salmon fish which costs about £18, the waiter informed us we had to pay in advance which i didn’t think much of, but as soon as the food arrived I realized why. It was horrible, salmon was hardly cooked and they gave me some chips as a side. What a rip off. I have never been to a restaurant and never not finished my food. This was the first time in which i had to leave it. Futhermore the owners are not even Italian and dont have know clue about the Italian cuisine. Hope it gets closed down soon, i can imagine they are only surviving because of the tourist not having a clue. But damn that was the worst restaurant experience of my life. 😩

Back in summer, my partner and I came across Rosso Italiano, I remember it being busy but we both commented that it was the best restaurant pizza we’d tasted! Yesterday, I returned with my children. It was early evening, and cold out. The man on the front seemed to remember me from my summer visit, I thought it was a fluke, a brilliant form of service but his colleague also remembered us, and where we’d sat, and they greeted us like we were friends! We were sat down under the heater which, on a cold, rainy day, was very welcomed. The waitress took our orders and food was delivered promptly and it was as good as I remembered! My children opted to share a pizza, their half and half request was honoured, and less cheese for my eldest, no issues at all. I like that the staff are on hand but that they don’t check up on you half way through eating. I find that so off putting. They are constantly watching so if there is an issue, they’ll spot you. Another couple sat down next to us, and I’d heard them say they’d been before, so we got talking to each other briefly and it seems we all had the same experience first time round to have wanted to revisit. Will definitely visit again! Maybe next time, with all 4 of us!

Visited this place with my elderly mother. Staff are so rude especially the guy who stands outside to get you in. It was very windy evening and the canary above fell down,metal bar just missed my mums head. Staff were not concerned at all. No apology whatsoever. We decided to leave because felt very unsafe. The guy who seated us got very angry as we had ordered and was leaving. He was swearing and talking in Italian so we couldn’t understand him. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I believe this restaurant has changed its name on many occasions to hep get new customers in. How anyone would want to enter this place is beyond me. Don’t even think about it. The reviews I read after being in this place was unbelievable. I’d rather eat in McDonald’s that eat in this business

The employees in this restaurant are stealing from the owner, they do not invoice the sale… I went to eat there with my family on Saturday, January 22, and when I ask for the bill, they bring me the receipt and I take out my card and the two waitresses start shouting that cash, cash! I ask what's up? And they keep telling me that I have to pay in cash but they asked for it in a very demanding way. They made me go to a nearby ATM to withdraw the money with a waitress of Russian origin. I took the money and gave it to her when we go back to the restaurant a relative sees how she makes a sign to another girl who works in the restaurant as if trying to say “here is the cash” now I understand why when we entered I wanted to sit inside and they insisted that we sit outside even though it was cold now I understand They don't want anyone to sit inside because maybe there should be cameras so they sit you outside so they can charge you cash so they don't bill anything and rob the owner!

Will start with the one positive! The outside seating is lovely and there are many heaters to keep you toasty even on a cold January evening. However, the tables are really close to each other so we were sharing our meal with the couple at the table next to us! Is that a positive? hmmm Very very overpriced! Anyway, garlic bread was dry and barely any butter and not hot. Our mains came out just as we had received our starters so they went back to kitchen. When they arrived, they were cold! She insisted they were freshly made but they clearly weren't. We had to wait for them to arrive and they were tepid. Warm carbonara is a recipe for disaster but we ate and I wish I hadn't. Spent all of the night and the rest of the next day either on the toilet or in bed. Glass of prosecco in a wine glass and cheap! I am not a glass snob but its the little things that matter. Bad end to a lovely day.

I enjoyed the food, very tasty Staff were polite and friendly and prices were reasonable . I had the Milanese which was nice… breaded chicken with some salad and flavoursome spagetti Would recommend

Horrible experience! Me and my partner stopped there on 25th of December. The service wasn’t great when we arrived, but we did not complain about it because we felt bad for the staff having to work on Christmas day, I’ve worked before during Christmas and it’s not exactly fun. We ordered 2 peach and prosseco ‘cocktails’ which tasted like anything but peach, and still we didn’t complain. However, when the 2 Pizzas arrived we were shocked, there was no tomato sauce, plenty of cheap cheese, cheap pizza base, and the seafood was also bad! We ate one slice, it tasted worse than the frozen pizza you buy from the supermarket! After we ate one slice only, we sent both pizzas away, yet we were still charged for one pizza (£19) even though we said we don’t like it and we didn’t eat it. When we politely asked for a manager, we were told there was no supervisor or manager on the shift, how is that even possible? A waiter came later to our table, we complained to him too and he said ‘ we delivered 100 pizzas today and we had no complaints, you are the only ones’ in a very rude manner, to which I replied ‘ well we’ve been to many restaurants and we never made any complaints, you are the first ‘restaurant’’. Our bill was £50 for 1 frozen pizza, 2 cheap cocktails, and bad service. The hygiene was also bad. The staff are dressed like they’re going to a barbecue with their family, and no, I’m not talking about a fancy barbecue. Avoid this place!

My girlfriend and I ate here last weekend. Was not great experience, the waitresses need training in customer services. They weren’t rude as such but were just untrained and didn’t really know anything about the drinks or food and not even a hint of a smile or anything that would say ‘welcome’. Food was pretty dull and was most likely done in a microwave. What disgusted me most was one of the more mature male waiters who wasn’t at all dressed for the occasion went into the shop and grabbed a piece of what looked like a cheesecake that was on display with his bare hands and ram it straight into his mouth in one foul swoop. Pretty disgusting to be honest! I didn’t see one table leave satisfied. Was a real shame! With proper management and training this place would be so much better!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID ... If I could give this place a Zero star I would !! Uncooked pizza, sent it back for a fresh one, Husband has got food poisoning !! 12.5% service charge that they wouldn't remove, the worst place I've ever eaten in my entire life. Nearly £55 for 2 pizzas and 2 beers !!! Please, please, please do not waste ur money and eat there, don't get duped like we did !!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a bite to eat before going to the Odeon Lux in Leicester Square. The engaging young guy talked us in to going in. We sat outside so we could people watch. Our waitress, Elana was quick to come to our table and we ordered wine and pizzas. They had no Montepulciano but I settled for Shiraz. She made a joke about Merlot and it became a running joke throughout our meal. Our pizzas were amazing and we couldn’t fault a thing. This place is a superb find and we will be back. Thanks for a great meal and a great night.

The food was disgusting myself and my girlfriend ordered the steak and chips with peppercorn sauce and it was pretty much inedible. The steak has covered in fat and didn't even taste like meat and the peppercorn sauce was like waterd down milk. And the price was shocking, 1 jack Daniels and coke 1 vodka and fresh orange and 2 steak dinners £98 shocking. Wouldn't advise anyone to go near the place.
