Me and my friend were there for a great breakfast. The girl was outside and said what do you wish ? So we said we want a croissant but i cant see it on your menue and she said.... ahhhh we have it here look! So we stayed there and were so happy really great service very nice ! And thank you to your team from yesterday morning! You made our last breakfast in london special ! Thank you !

Since I’m unable to give 0 stars, I’m being forced to give 1 star. Came here since this was one of the very few places open at 10:45 PM after we got out of our Play. We ordered the Pesto pasta, the Arabbiatta pasta and the Bruschetta. I can confidently say that this is by far the **worst pesto** I’ve ever tasted. There was no hint of a “freshness” which is characteristic of a Pesto. It was a weird mixture of creamy and oily and the oil was definitely not the good kind. The Arabbiatta was edible and so was the Bruschetta. I just wish I could’ve met the chef so that I could’ve asked them why they’ve given up on serving edible, reasonably flavorful food.

Looks nice from the outside but is the worst restaurant in the UK, the pizza was not fresh, the texture was like it was made the day before and tasted terrible, the waitress was in a bad mood and was really rude to us, anyways the food does not taste Italian at all. Worst experience ever!

This is one of those restaurants that doesn't deserve to be compared to Italy in the slightest! And there was indeed an offense; A total indecency from the pizza to the Coffee dish (they even pass it off as Lavazza with lots of cups and bags visible but in fact a very low quality blend) STAY AWAY from this place

We tried restorante roma for the first time today while visiting london. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing very fresh and full of flavour. I would deffinatley reccomend

With all the restaurants there are in London we ended up in this one... we should have thought twice. Really too expensive for low-end food... So avoid it even if the waiters who come out to catch you when you pass the restaurant make eyes at you and make unstoppable arguments.

Nice decent restaurant and nice staff but meals have almost nothing in common with what you can get in Italy in reality and generally the taste was very average. We had pizza salami, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti bolognese and feta salad /salad was fine/.

Tha manager was AMAIZING and the pizzas was incredible I really recommend.

There is a gluten free pizza on the menu, sadly the dough is clearly pre bought and is significantly smaller in size than their usual pizzas. There was also way less cheese on there than on the others. (+ It costs additional £2.50) We were there with a quiet big group. Most dishes arrived around the same time, but one pizza came only 40min later... Staff wasn't unfriendly, just very stressed I guess.

I'm sorry to say that my chicken was tough dry and died unnecessarily. Dreadful . The waiting staff were amazing but will not eat here again. Such a shame.

The food was actually okay, we ordered spaghetti bolognese, fish n chips and sweet potato fries, and to drink we ordered 2 colas. The portions were okay, for the price you would have expected a little better quality as the fish was a little too fatty and the fries were rather cheap. The spagetti Bolognese was still tasty. The food was warm and seemed freshly prepared. The 2 cokes for an incredible £9.80 (1 coke 0.33 = £4.90) for 0.33 liters are, in my opinion, very exaggerated. The ambience was beautifully designed and was perfect for sitting outside even in the cold season, warmth was provided. Nevertheless, the service wasn't exactly good, the service was mostly annoyed and the entire service team had little to do. Despite not having any work, the four waitresses preferred to chat and neglected our service, so that it took forever until we could pay. For this promotion, a service charge of 15% is required, which cannot even be found on the menu displayed outside, but can only be found in small print in the middle at the bottom of the menu at the table. The 15% on top of the high price is excessive.

Revolting food. An utter scam. Clearly selling the cheapest frozen food at a high price trading from the prime location. This restraunt should be shut down by the council as it gives London and England a bad name in the eyes of tourists.

Popped in here, as we thought the outside looked ok with a few people sitting outside, but it was cold, so we decided to sit inside. We didn't order food and left as it looked so dirty. Staff seemed ok

We arrive to be served at 10:30 p.m. and we kindly ask if it is possible, they tell us yes... Completely inedible dishes, waiters not friendly at all... we hadn't finished the dishes when they removed the plates, put away the chairs, turned off the heaters and started turning off the lights... a total shame! never again OK we arrived late but in this case we should not accept! Could not decide where to eat, then we saw this place. The matra de was friendly and we decided to have a meal. Sitting outside, the heaters and blankets kept us very warm and the meal arrived piping hot. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, we would eat here again.

Tourist trap. Don't bother. I read reviews from Google and TripAdvisor after dining here and they're broadly very pretty spot on with the accuracy of their statements.

came to london for a weekend away with the family. Looking for somewhere to eat in leicester square while it was freezing cold we found this italian. there was a few italians around this area and this was the only place that wasn’t trying to drag you inside. the smell of the food while walking past was amazing which was what attracted us to eat there. they sat us outside, however while it was freezing they had heaters on and even gave you blankets while you sat down which gave a warming touch to the meal. The food was amazing too, i ordered the halloumi bruschetta as a starter which was unreal, with a main of pasta genovese which was tagliatelle, pesto, mushrooms and sun dried tomato. It was an amazing meal and can’t fault their service. Great place to eat if out in leicester square!

It is the only Italian without Parmesan cheese. They deceive you when they don't have a product and they give you another one to see if it happens, the wait is eternal, you order them wrong and it's also expensive! It is a terrible experience that I hope not to repeat again.

Had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The food itself was okay, but not great. But then the bill came and if the high standard price you pay in London is not enough, this restaurant charges no less than 25% extra as a “service fee”. Scandalous, Ristorante Roma robs their own customers.

TOURIST SCAM BE AWARE. They lure you in being nice to you as you’re walking, then once you’re sat they treat you so badly, hidden charges, don’t charge you same prices as the menu, bad service, judgemental. Avoid!

I recently dined at ristorante Roma and was disappointed with the experience. The service was subpar, and I was surprised to find hidden charges within the service charge on my bill. This left me with a negative impression of the restaurant.

The tosser was very tasty. The beef lasagne had no meat - little sauce and was dry. Pizza with grilled chicken - had a good base - sauce and cheese But no chicken The waiters were grumpy and not participating Service was out of the question Service was, in other words, non-existent Steer away

Well over priced my burger looked like it came from a Greasy spoon cafe at £19 I would of expected a home made burger ever going again

First, they charge you a hefty 15% service fee on top of your bill, which seems excessive for the quality provided. Speaking of quality, the food was absolutely disappointing - obviously microwaved and completely bland. It arrived in less than five minutes, and unfortunately, the taste was as uninspired as the preparation. Honestly, there are far better options right down there. Don't let the attractive exterior fool you. Walk a little and you will find a place that is much more worthwhile!

Taking 15% tip is absourd and food is too much expensive for price you pay.

1. Avoid at all cost. Me and my wife got a stomach bug from this place. We are certain of this since this was the only place we ate at that day. 2. The service is just Ok, but you get hit with a 15% service charge which is not worth. 3. The food comes out in 10 minutes so it means microwaved bland food.

Asking payment first because being brown / everyone eats and takes payment but if ur brown or black they take payment first while ordering /

It is a place with very tight space. The pizza was average, I have eaten much better. The pastas are not bad but the service they charge is too much.

It is a scam for tourists, they charged us 30% of the bill without knowing what it was, for the preheated food we paid for a small hamburger with frozen potatoes and a breaded chicken with spaghetti and a large water about 80 euros or so, amazing…….zero recommendable if you want to eat well look for something else, the worst investment is to eat here and to top it all off the food is cold and the breaded chicken is tough

Awful!! I cannot describe how bad the food is at this place. I agree with all the bad reviews posted. Soggy pasta, the alfredo tagliatelle was a joke 😬 I don't know who are in the kitchen but they should change job! Chicken milanese was so bad, i'm sure the pasta was microwaved and the chicken was so dry! And the soup of the day which was tomato soup was surely from a tin! Not to mention that it is overpriced and they add 15% on the bill for service. Visited the place on Christmas Eve as most places were closed, so we had to eat something as we came from a long trip. We did not expect it to be this bad. I am really shocked and i feel sorry for the people who went to this place not knowing what they would be served.

I ordered fish and chips and it came out half cooked and when I complained they said they will take 10% off the bill!!! I didn’t even eat it only had 3 bites of it. Service was crap, definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. All good it pre made and microwaved. Then they add the tip and they haven’t even done anything for you really. If you're looking for an "authentic" Italian restaurant, avoid this one... I ordered gnocci al pesto, and my friend ordered salmon tagliatelle. How can I put it... the pieces of salmon could be counted on the fingers of half a hand. The so-called cream sauce was as liquid as water... and the gnocci were bathed in oil. The pesto seemed to come out of a ready-made jar. Only positive point was the presence of gables... but that's it. Looking at the other tables, the pizzas were perfectly round, which in my experience is impossible even in the best pizzerias in Italy. All served in less than 5 minutes in hand. Making the folly of ordering a pint and an apple juice for drinks, we had to pay just under £85, because, interestingly, although extremely surprisingly, they charge 30% tip automatically for each table, without this being mentioned anywhere, except on the invoice. I will summarize this experience in 3 simple words: move on....

Food was ordinary but a gratuity charge of 30% is the reason why I'm leaving this one star review. A 30% discretionary gratuity charge - is that even in accordance with UK guidances/laws/practices?? Even Michelin star restaurants don't do this. This place feels a bit like tourist trap. Ridiculous 🤯👎🏻

Terrible! Tourist trap. The food is frozen. Terrible wait staff who judge you. Plus the 15% service charge that I haven't seen at any other establishment.

We had to ask several times for sharing plates, got it only after white guys from the next table asked for it again for us, and paid 15% service charges for that. Also, the plate wasn't even clean and there was a tomato sauce drops on the cream risotto plate. The food was blend as well.

Don't come here to eat, 40 euros for a pizza and a beer per head, they tell us when we enter that they close the kitchen at 00 (not the restaurant), we finish eating and the blonde waitress harasses us from every corner of the table to pay her now, we complain and she gets upset and makes a fuss when we leave, rude as she is, it's very easy to tell us to sit down and charge us 200 euros for pre-cooked food and then throw us out quickly and hurry up, tourist scam

AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would! Waiter was rude and bought out the wrong dish, when I queried it with him he said I ordered the wrong thing! I asked for the correct food and he shook his head and tutted at me! I’m convinced he either did something to my food or they fished a gone off bit of salmon out the bin - within an hour of finishing it, I was projectile vomiting followed my diarrhoea - missed Mrs Doubtfire show as to unwell to watch! This place needs to be shut down reading all the reviews, wish I’d read them sooner!!

The place was cold both literally and figuratively. The service is one of the worst I have encountered in my life but the main thing is that while we were eating suddenly a mouse was found walking between us at our feet! When we said that, they simply replied that they never enter from the outside because they open the doors to air the space! They didn't even try to apologize...nothing...we paid the bill and left. Unacceptable in everything...and the food was overrated!

Pistachio croissant not worth it,dry for an Italian restaurant. Service of the staff was not great. The lady that serve us was very unprofessional and not welcoming. We came there hoping for authentic Italian dessert and coffee. After 30min this lady came to us while we are still enjoying our aperol and coffee ask if we still going to order more.When we said no, she suddenly said there is a reservation in 10min. If there is why would you let us seat there in the first place?Too expensive for what they offer. Not worth it!

AVOID. I’ll keep this as short as possible (but not really): my wife, daughter and I picked this restaurant at random as we’d just left a show and were ready for dinner. My daughter ordered a bowl of gnocchi with pesto, my wife ordered a salad with feta and a margherita pizza, and I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, ham and peppers. The pesto in my daughter’s dish had turned and was rancid; my pizza was palatable but greasy; and my wife’s salad had a chemical taste to it, and her margherita pizza had no basil anywhere near it, and was greasy. We called the server over and politely explained everything - she apologized and took the salad and gnocchi away. A woman who appeared to be the manager returned with both dishes and began to argue that they’d been serving the same food all day without a single complaint, and that there couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with it. We disagreed and seemed to be at an impasse, as she refused to consider there might be something wrong with the food. At this point we said we’d just take the check, as we hadn’t had more than a couple bites of the food and needed to get something to eat. The server returned and offered to discount the bill slightly? Rather than make a big scene and have this tarnish what has been a great trip, we paid the remainder of the bill and left. Key points to make here: red flags everywhere, such as clearly being able to see all the surveillance monitors (including the one covering the kitchen) from the dining room seats, as well as two of the three toilets in the men’s room being out of order, and the interior was not kept up very well at all. I could add more, but we were only there for about 20 minutes. Possibly the worst dining experience we’ve ever had.

The owner and the manager should be ashamed of the absolute garbage they sell as Italian Food. Thought I was in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Kept looking for Gordon to show up. Stay Clear and make sure to spread the word.

We spontaneously got a table on Saturday evening in the run-up to Christmas. Very friendly staff, fast service, delicious food. The price was ok.

Disappointing! We ordered a starter and a main. The food came out worryingly fast and the mains were served while we were still eating the starters. I was literally left holding my main meal in my hand while trying to finish eating. Had to ask 4 times for the drink we ordered, the staff really weren’t interested and it was all about getting you in and out as fast as possible. Then, to top it off, a 15% service was automatically added! Don’t waste your money, much better places to go to!

Don’t go there! The staff is incredibly rude, the food is warmed up frozen food at best. First, when we entered and were seated, the manager had a loud argument with another customer in front of everyone. We ordered food (pizzas and pastas) and it wasn’t very good. The pizzas tasted like frozen pizzas and the pasta like pasta from a can. The chicken was very strange and had weird bits in it. We didn’t eat it all. While we were still eating, the staff tried to take our plates already and rush us. We hadn’t been there for long. Anyways, we let them take our plates 2 min later as we weren’t going to finish the food and asked for the bill. Again, very rushed, they printed the receipt and rush you to tap your card. I did while I was still looking at the receipt and I noticed that they charged us for another tables food and drinks. I pointed this out immediately and the first thing the waitress said was “you should check first, then pay”! Then another waitress walked by to correct the mistake and refund us for the amount we were overcharged. Also 15% service charge were included for terrible food, rude waitresses and overall terrible experience!!! Rather go to another place or go to the markets! Don’t waste your money here! 0 Stars! Don’t recommend!

Don’t be fooled by the attractive exterior! We decided to sit inside , for a more quiet area and it was all dirty. Cutler and tissues on the floor … clearly not taken care of. Talking about dirt , restrooms were shockingly unsanitary. Especially in such a busy and public place , hygiene shouldn’t be this much of a problem Food arrived in less than 10 minutes which surprised us. Food was clearly microwaved and not fresh. We had nice day out and decided to have some stakes. One of the ladies was taking our order which was 2 stakes medium rare. Food was really quickly on the table and it started one stake was well done second was half medium rare and other half rare. We have changed the well done. Fries was cold and not tasty at all. Because we were hungry we had just stakes. Staff was just passing by throwing questions if everything is ok not even waiting for the answer. When comes to bill we saw that order was taken for 2 stakes one medium one rare. we said what was wrong but the waitress started to be so rude and saying that they kept asking if everything is ok. Finally we’ve got 10% discount on stakes but the service charge which is not obligatory was included and waitress didn’t agree to remove. I’m not recommending this place to anyone. Client is treated with no respect. Food cost us around £60 and bill comes to £98 that’s ridiculous. Customer service below 0. We won’t go there anymore. Another place to avoid

Awful. Wanted to pay for my meal by cash, waitress took it upon herself to count the cash out herself before we were able to ourselves. Overcounted the cash before we could say anything and put it into the till where it “couldn’t be recovered”. Overcharged more than £10. Service was slow, not coming around to check for an hour after finishing food. Food was average considering the price.

staff was nonchalante and not carring. we had to wait for really long time for service and they never brought us things they forgot about. The food was below avarage and the sirloin I ordered well done, was swimming in blood and bright red. Even the french fries was soaked in blood. lost my apetite and the staff apologized but did nothing on the (unreasonably) high prize. If you want to have good food and super staff for less money, visit steak and company in stead. this sucked and we will never go back.

Waited over an hour for the food, got the wrong order, the waiter forgot about us completely and made us wait 10 minutes for something as simple as cheese, and the food was mediocre at best with barely any flavour. We called here after seeing queues everywhere else but they managed to seat us with a short wait. The staff were friendly and efficient so were able to turn around tables quickly. The food was top notch and the prices were reasonable for London. 15% service charge added to the bill but well worth it. We would definitely return.

Don't, don't, don't! If you don't want to hate Italian cuisine, especially Risotto, don't go. I've never seen such a bad Risotto in my life. I bought 1 fork and returned it immediately. They didn't even ask why. A so-called Italian restaurant that serves something called risotto with rice in water.

Staff seemed although they really couldn’t be bothered,eating behind the bar and readjusting them selves in the mirror, tried explain to a waiter who’s English was poor that I hadn’t ordered the lasagne after waiting an addition 10 minutes for my food after my partners, then waited another 10 for my original dish. when bill came it had a 15 percent tip on which I refused to pay as service was far from friendly. Safe to say we won’t be returning, much nicer Italian food elsewhere! Cocktails were bland and just tasted like pure alcohol for 14 quid they were terrible!
