This is now Hilliers garden centre. The cafe was busy, We waited 40 minutes for a breakfast and an egg batch. Despite ordering a seeded egg batch and returning to check no meat ,alongside a vegetarian breakfast ,it came out with sausage and bacon. The egg batch came out next with a crushed top no seeds ( its a white roll with seeds on top) it was replaced with a complete roll which had a thick layer of yellow butter /marge , but fine we got an egg roll. Vegetarian breakfast finished. The bread was damp so ate the egg. I am aware of tte pressure of a kitchen and sometimes it all just goes wrong but the serving staff made one apology. Sorry for your wait. It was so dissappointing. The vegetarian breakfast was ok , piping hot sausage, cold mushrooms and beans but presented nicely and edible.

We’ve been coming to this garden centre for years - always felt the restaurant was a gem - staff amazing. Notice the last couple of times things seemed a miss but this visit will be our last. The photos I’ve attached are my favourite lunch - fish finger sandwich. The first was from January 2022 the second from yesterday. Let me first start off by saying this is not the front of house staffs fault - they are impeccable. There had been yet again another menu change this time the fish finger sandwich was advertised as with traditional doorstop white bread. What came was clearly packaged sliced white bread - I had to cut it myself. When I queried it I was told they had been given the new menu but not the food to go with it so the bread hadn’t arrived. The front of house staff asked the chef would he change the bread for a nicer roll - he refused. Nice. They did happily refund as it simply wasn’t worth the £9.99 tag (no chips this time with it either - just a soggy sandwich and some coleslaw) It is chains like Hillers that ruin places like this garden centre - by their lazy planning - and rubbish menus and food. People will just vote with their feet and go elsewhere. Good luck.

Pleasant restaurant and ordered a bacon sandwich with extra mushrooms, we were charged £1.50 for a couple of small sliced button mushrooms which seemed exorbitant. Staff were friendly but left feeling ripped off, short sighted (ex) customer service.

I find totally unacceptable for a established garden centre group not to offer gluten free bread as an option within their menus. Perhaps some food allergy training from senior management downwards would be a good idea. Prepacked gluten free cake @ £3.49 per slice is very expensive.

Nice staff and decent food, but the cafe is absolutely freezing. No heating at all but a large fan turning....really!?

Much, much better than the old M&S is Solihull town centre, the foodhall is excellent BUT choose your time to visit carefully. The layout of the car parking and entrance and exits can cause bottlenecks at busy times and entitled idiots that choose to ignore the flow of traffic don't help

Very fast service! I managed to order at the bar, went for a coffee and when I got back to the table food just arrived 😌 Quite nice full english breakfast, not as good as at he city but as for the airport service it’s okay. Not a fan of the coffee though, barely tastes as coffee. The Staff was very nice and very quick.

Really good food and extremely friendly staff. Our waiter Pedro was a star. So friendly and helpful, a welcome change to so-often surly hospitality staff. Steak was perfectly cooked, tagine flavourful. Creme brulee decadent. Wine excellent (merlot) . Food took awhile to arrive but it was worth it. Prices in line with airport / hotel sites. A nice start to our holiday the next day.

ok as we know unfriendly staff i can live with that but to be charged to sit in drinking out of a plastic or paper cup on a wooden bench freezing cold in the winter is a big insult the place is nearly empty most of the time dont the management want people in there take away only? could this be the final nail in the coffin for this joint, try upstairs in john lewis where you get good friendly service served in real cups for no extra charge.

Steak bake. No filling poor value these used to be value for money. Not any more. £2.00 for a product without a filling.. won't be using Greggs again.
