Great food... Chargrilled tikkas and dips are amazing. Best Naan bread thin soft inside and flaky outside just perfect the way it should be, reminded by Delhi's famous Naan bread. Saffron base sweet dish with dash of cinnamon on it is must try see the picture. Very clean and tidy. The person himself - owner of the restaurant, Abbas such a treat so warm and welcoming. Great time with family.

I went on a recommendation from a friend and omg what a hidden gem. I’ve walked past this for years and never thought to pop. So glad I went, the food was amazing. Really great Persian food. I got the Khoresht Ghaimeh. It’s their Saturday special for get this - only £11. Stewed yellow split peas, pieces of lamb, topped with slices of smoked grilled aubergine. Served with Persian rice and salad. Phenomenal value for money for the quality and standard. Inside is spacious, lovely decor, staff are great.

Really lovely food and service. We were celebrating a friends birthday and the four of us were delighted from beginning to end. Food was very tasty and great size of portions. Full to the brim in a good way!!!

First time trying this restaurant and I’m very impressed. Came for a birthday meal with 20 people, and all the food was served shortly after the order was placed. The staff were very friendly. We ordered a several mixed grill platters with a few sides. Lamb mince, lamb chops and chicken were cooked to perfection. Also really enjoyed the humus and falafel starters. It was all very tasty. The menu prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again ✅.

Very nice place, good service and delicious food

Second time visiting this place after the renovation looks great with simple decoration with lilac flowers. Greta customer service and always welcoming with smile on face . Good choices of menu and great at explaining the menu items. Wife is vegan so customised a few dishes without a problem which is great. Greta portions of main course was full when left.

This place is a hidden gem! Food quality is amazing, we had lentil soup for starters which they make themselves and is full of flavour, we then had the minced lamb wrap for our main which was loaded with fresh salad, garlic and chilli sauce and has my mouth watering just talking about it! Finished the meal off with a lovely Persian tea. Very clean premises and decorated very well, staff are super friendly and welcoming. Price wise for 2 starters, 2 main meals and 3 drinks was so cheap coming to just £18 which is fantastic especially in the current climate with the cost of living being so high. If you’re in the area please give this place a try you won’t regret it! Thank you for a lovely meal, we look forward to returning very soon.

Not long ago, after a long time, I came to the restaurant for dinner. However, I encountered complete lack of training from the front desk and management. I don't know where I was. It was funny that you talked behind my back and laughed. When I opened the door and came to pay the bill, I fully realized your behavior. Your work was very cheap because this is an ugly habit of many Iranians. I'm sorry for you, I left dinner half-finished because of this. Embarrassment is also a good thing. Look into a person's eyes and smile. I wanted to throw barberry rice on your table, but because there was a customer in the shop and because I respected my sanctity, I would have done it. I wouldn't have been any different. It's a pity that someone spends 1 pence in your restaurant.

Food had a very poor quality, rice was very dry and kebabs were underdone inside. The place was very quiet as I can understand why! So the food came on time.

I tried this place in the past, and it wasn't impressive. Now it's new management for a while and been there 3 or 4 times fantastic food very clean restaurant friendly staff . Prices are very reasonable too.

What an amazing experience we had today at Rose restaurant. This was the first time to visit it and we have tried different Iranian dishes which were all delicious. The staff were friendly, place was very clean with a good toilet facility, food was excellent, prices were very reasonable for the relatively large portions of the dishes compared to almost all other competitors, the place very well decorated with a nice music in the background and more importantly the food was served relatively quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a very good value for money and warm atmosphere. Average meal per person is around £10-12 which is excellent in Newcastle now.

Persian food, very nice, the staff are kind, Fahimeh was our host and so caring, food is great, the place is nice but not very fancy, prices is very much reasonable

I tried the Wednesday special Grilled Salmon and green Rice which was amazing.

They are very kind and trustworthy. You could have a good experience for eating iranian food.

A very enjoyable meal, I wasn't too sure what to order so I let the staff guide me, they made excellent choices, the salmon was a solid 10. There's a large outdoor sitting area should you be brave enough, handy for people watching.

Absolutely amazing !! It was the first time for me tasting Persian cuisine, and it was delicious ! In addition to the cuisine, the service was lovely, the waitress so smiley and nice ! The owner and the other members of the staff really make you feel like home even if you don’t really know the Persian culture ! I of course recommend ! I hope to come back in NewCastle to enjoy again your food :)

Hi everyone I can no more be honest although i my self went to pick for no delays.thats the reason i didn't give it to delivery. Yet the food was cold not cooked or baked at all .this is the most ridiculous shop to order food from I also had an argument with the staff in the shop just because i complained about the food .he brutally behaved and disrespectful i was about to call police.but i siad i will never be back and never of it to anyone

I regularly dine here. It's nice until I dined there about 27/03/24. This time I couldn't eat all my food. I politely asked a female staff who is apparently Iranian Kurkish and to be fair she is good looking. I asked her if she can put my spare food in a container so I can take it. And nicely requested if she could separate the bits I have ate. She said no problem. Then later I noticed she dumped everything in the container. NOT PLEASED😒

Loved this place. The food portions are huge yet very reasonably priced. The space is nicely decorated and spacious. The lady was super nice; helped with my query when I was looking for Kashk bademjan on their menu. Will go back again when I am in Newcastle. The only catch is that they only accept cash or bank transfer; no cards.

Simply Amazing! Authentic, delightful, halal Persian food on West road, Newcastle. The staff were friendly and their suggestions were spot on. Generous portion sizes, couldn’t finish our meal so we took it home to savour it further. The kids enjoyed very much . Plenty of free on street parking right in front of the restaurant. It wasn’t our first visit and most certainly will not be the last.

One of the best budget halal family restaurant in Newcastle. The food is so yummy, the taste, the tenderness of meat, everything was over the top. It was a wonderful experience. Number of items can be increased.

The food was lovely and the service great. Meat kebabs were beautifully flavoured and wonderfully moist. Nan bread was the nicest I have tasted and the portions are certainly generous. Just remember it is cash or bank transfer, no card payments. I would definitely go again.

I tried the lentil soup, it was so delicious and the texture is perfect, very well seasoned, i would come everyday just for the soup if i could. Also i tried the mixed grill for one person. The kebab was good and the lamb chops were sooo beautiful, but the chicken tekka wasn’t well seasoned, and it was a bit overcooked. The service was good. In total i would recommend the restaurant.

Authentic food, good value and atmosphere

I tried there Sunday special it was really nice the rice was unique it had a crispy shell on the out side and filled with chiken and granberys inside chiken was melt of the bone the lamb sheesh was ok the service was good and the place is really nice inside

This place has great food and great service. I salmon with rice which was served very nicely, especially the rice, it was covered in a crust. This is called Tahdig, which is not how many other restaurants serve rice and it something that you have to request. This is Persian speciality and one that many will not be familiar with because its rarely on the menu. The tahdig made the experience of dining here very special and enjoyable. I will be going back as soon as I can, as I want to try their gormeh sabzi and hope that it is served with tahdig. The prices are very reasonable for the quality.

Lovely looking resteraunt from outside. Quite a big building. Coloured lights on the steps. When inside it's quite bare. Plain floors and walls. Bench seats and Formica tables. It was not busy. I was greeted by a young lady and she took about 10mins to come get my order. She apologized. I ordered chicken on the bone with rice and a side of salad. It was wheeled out to me on a trolley. Ample portion of rice with 6 baby chicken thighs a green chilli and a salad of shredded lettuce tomato red onion tomato olives and cucumber. It was fresh and well cooked. I was given a spoon and fork to use. It also came with a yoghurt sauce and a chilli sauce. Condiments and a box of napkins were provided. I was asked if everything was ok. I found the music a bit repetitive but as it was that type of resteraunt I shouldn't complain. The bill was 14 pounds. Less than what I paid for a burger the night before. They take cash or bank transfer. Not bad.

I recently visited Rose Restaurant and had an amazing experience! The restaurant owner was incredibly respectful and friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with him. But the highlight of my visit was definitely the food - the Koobide Kabab was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. I highly recommend giving Rose Restaurant a try!

One of the best restaurant I have had. Best quality and friendly. Nice service.

Food was decent. Service could have been better. As there was food left, I wanted a take away container for this. I asked for 2. Little did I know, I would be charged £2 each so £4 in total for a take away box. I would not have got it, if this was the case. I was told this when I went to pay. You can see the photo attached of the container I was given. Bear in mind, I have been too many restaurants, this was the first time I have been charged and that too this much. It's about the principle. Communication is key and this was poor. Hopefully going forward, this can be looked into.

We've been visiting this restaurant for around a year. The food quality is always exceptional. You really feel that the chef has taken every effort to select the best ingredients and won't let anything pass that doesn't meet his stamp of approval. High food standards all round, at a great price. Definitely recommended.
