Our go too Indian.. actually proper cooked rather than heated ingredients..I've seen them in action..these guys do the spices etc as they cook...Dansak is gorgeous..And you want heat ? I dare you..its the real thing here..

Not up to their usual standard, both dishes lacked flavour and chicken was dry and overcooked. A shame as usually very good.

I had a takeaway on Saturday night & really enjoyed my lentil based Chicken Dhansak, plain rice and peshwari nan. My curry was nicely spiced however the Nan bread was smaller than expected. The Rose is very good value with great friendly staff.

Freshly cooked, tender meat, perfect recipes. I recommend Lamb madras with coconut rice. I've eaten in and delivery. The food is always hot, tasty and very reasonably priced.

All good apart from the naan bread which tasted fine but was the size of a small pitta. Loadsa of others have said the same. Please sort it.

Really good food as usual, but *please* update the offer mentioned on here - the driver explained that they're only doing the free naan for orders over £35, despite saying orders over £25 on here, hence why we haven't got it the last couple of times. Totally OK to change it, just needed to know so I can order an extra naan from now on.

Have known about the place since it opened but had never been, 4 of us lads have a curry night once a month, this is the 7th so far in MK and was head and shoulders the best, great food, brilliant staff who kept us amused and entertained (like a comedy double act) and very good value indeed, it's like stepping back to a curry house from the 80's, they even made us up a lime pickle as we passed comment that there wasn't one when the dips came out (bear in mind we'd already eaten and paid when we asked the question) the food was awesome across the board, it'll take some knocking off of top spot that's for sure, cheers for a great night with great food. see you again soon.

I ordered a takeaway for pick up. Service was very quick and welcoming. Had a bit of banter and fun with the guys behind the counter while waiting and within a minute the food arrived. The food was absolutely amazing, of a good quality and full of flavour and best of all no need to reheat. It was was worth price paid. I would recommend this place every time. Glenn (Stella's Dad)

My friends and I were looking for a Indian Restaurant in the Bletchly area. After seeing the reviews on Google maps we chose the Rose of India above all else. I can confirm the staff and quality of service was fantastic, very welcoming and attentive. The food came quick and fast and was very well priced. Four star is an incredibly positive review and the Rose of India team did a brilliant job. Will visit again when in the area.

estimated food to arrive at 8.40- 8pm got a message will arrive at 7.45 food did not arrive until 8.15pm and i was not hot............. not like it usually is

Amazing food and great service! We enjoyed our meal with friends. The duck dish was very tasty. And for the first time in my life I had a peshwari cheese naan which was delicious.

Had nothing in the house, was feeling in dire need of a burst of mindless TV and a cosy curry so ordered on the spur of the moment. Searched on passanda (my all time favourite) and a new Just Eat search revealed who was offering this dish and at what price - excellent and so useful. Hence my choice of Rose of India which was taking pre-orders. Came early - yipee - and with pleasant driver. Well packed in foil dishes. I tried a lamb variety I was unfamiliar with (Akbari) which was not as sweet as I would have liked but all dishes were tasty, arrived hot and were generous portions. I would re-order.

Venturing over the border into Buckinghamshire away from our usual Bedfordshire Curry Tour, we cam across this absolute gem! The restaurant is tucked away and not immediately easy to find, but we are glad we did! The restaurant itself was spotless and tastefully decorated. The food was simply outstanding and probably immediately into our top 3 Indian Restaurants that we have personally visited, ate at and reviewed. Poppadums and pickles were fine – although the pickle tray was a little dull compared to some of our recent visits elsewhere. Certainly, good enough to be enjoyed! Starters were excellent, the usual Onion Bhajis used as comparison test were fantastic and homemade. Not at all greasy as some are sadly found to be. My fellow reviewers also reported that the chicken puree and kebab were superb. Main courses were equally as good, if not even better. Full of taste, flavour and heat – special mention must be made of the cheese, saag (spinach) and garlic naan, which was probably the best naan bread we have had anywhere! The food cannot be faulted in any way – first class in every respect. Special mention must be made about the waiting staff. What a delight to have cheerful, pleasant and chatty waiters. Their customer service was again some of the best we have experienced everywhere and certainly a big factor of us wanting to return again soon! In summary, The Rose of India is without doubt worth travelling to (it took us 40 mins) but we’d happily travel even further as the quality at every level was outstanding. Look no further if you want a fantastic Indian, as you have found one of the very, very best!

The staff are very friendly and they are so welcoming I walked through the door and they made me feel right at home and the food was absolutely amazing I wish I could eat more.The food makes you feel full up.I would recommend it for any family who loves curry and Indian food.

Food was nice but poppadoms were missing which is why I bought loads of sides for them. Over half hour early too.

Food was amazing best one we found while staying close by, delivery took way to long not sure if it was a busy night or not but 1hr 30 mins I felt was excessive go wait for 2 curries, apart from that I would eat from here again if I was visiting the food made up for the wait.

The lamb was delicious - so tender. Very very tasty meals - just unfortunate as there was no spice to it at all (and I did request extra spice for both lamb dishes) It lacked the heat really and made it slightly disappointing. But very tasty, quick, and good quality meat

Food arrived on time and was piping hot. They make some of the best curry. I had chicken passanda, garlic rice and 2 garlic naan. Delivery guys are always friendly and polite as well. Recommended.

After deciding to try to find somewhere to eat out at the last minute on New Year's Eve we managed to get in at the Rose of India. We were so lucky. Despite fitting us in late the owner assured us that we would not be rushed to finish and he was true to his word. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our whole meal even when my daughter accidentally spilt her plate onto the floor. Nothing was too much trouble. All our food was tasty and beautifully cooked. My wife raved about her dansak, the lamb was tender and the sauce perfect. Prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be returning to eat there again. Thank you for making our New Year's eve so memorable.
