Best Chippy in the area, food cooked to order. The fish in batter is outstanding! Always busy but worth the wait.

Honestly these were the best fish and chips in years, 15+. On par with Rick Stein in Padstow. They were very busy and deserve to be so. Some seating in the waiting area would be an improvement although waiting time was minimal given all orders are cooked to order. No soggy fish or chips in Rose Green

Absolutely the best fish and chips I have had for ages and I'm from Cornwall where they are supposed to be good at this. And consistent too - I have not had a bad meal yet over a year. The fish is fresh, the batter crisp and the chips well cooked although sometimes I will admit I yearn for the McDonalds type of chip. This chippy shows what can be done by taking a bit of time and trouble.

Well presented,clean and tidy. Beautiful tasting food,what more could you wish for. Thoroughly recommend the delicious cod and chips!!

This was always the best fish and chip shop around. Went there today and was deeply disappointed. The fish was well cooked, a good size & the batter was light and crisp but was virtually stone cold! Chips were obviously pre cooked & reheated & also cold. Not nice at all. In fact we gave them to the dog! Over £25 for 2 fish and chips was extortionate for cold food. Such a shame as this used to be one of the best in Bognor. I certainly wont ever be visiting again.

Tucked away in the residential area of Rose Green, this fish and chip shop is the best for miles. Good food range, recently I tried Hake, delicious. Love a fush burger too!! Can get busy but you can phone in your order. The owners and staff are lovely. Cannot fault this place at all, I drive there from Feloham because it is that good!!

Just had a couple of meals from the Fryery and it was a disappointment. Although the chips were as good as always the steak and kidney pie was abysmal! Only 5 tiny pieces of beef, no kidney and the rest was gravy!!! I shan’t be ordering it again unless they change their suppliers. I resent being “ripped off”.

Tiny establishment with nowhere to sit, (I had to use the vandalized park bench across the street.) but I do not remember having better cod and chips for a very long time. Fish cooked to order and beautifully fresh. Lovely hot chips, crispy, succulent.. The locals are so lucky to have this on their doorstep, because it is a couple of miles out of town. If you are anywhere near Bognor Regis , frankly this shop is worth travelling to, and I found, even worth braving the park bench.

Very nice fish but chips were stone cold and full of little crispy bits, probably the end of a cooked batch. Will try again though.

I found on this occasion, two large cod and one large chips priced at 20.50 to be over priced as the cost has risen by about 5.00 and the quantity of chips supplied has been reduced. I will no longer visite this shop at their increase in prices and lower quantities.

You will be amazed at the high standard of fish and chips at this chippy...I find chip shops are measured by their fish or their chips and it is very rare to have them both at a high standard but in the case of Rose Green they are both exceptional and that as I say is very rare...keep it up...

Went last Friday evening and was comforted to see the Covid arrangements. You queue outside, socially distanced, and go in (only one in at a time) and place your order - wearing face coverings of course. Staff are behind screens. Pay for order - only accept cash which is odd in this environment. Then take a pager and leave the shop - return to pavement or your car. When pager goes off, enter the shop (one at a time) and take your order away. So well organised. They take the pager back and sanitise it, before issuing to another customer. The staff are really lovely. We have never been there before, but we will be back. Oh, nearly forgot. The food is lovely - nicely cooked, the batter is lovely and light, shame there were no pies, and portion sizes are good - no need for large chips unless you want to share them.

Without a doubt, the best Fish and chips for miles! Never go anywhere else.Always cooked to perfection.

We had cod and chips - freshly cooked fish and freshly cooked chips. Best batter that I have had in years - no residue of oil. I do not normally finish the chips, but again these were excellent and I finished everything.

This is by far the best Chip shop for miles. Yes you may have to wait but that’s because it’s popular and everything is cooked to order. Anyone moaning about the wait needs to go elsewhere as the food is most definitely worth the wait. Delicious fish, chunky, no bones or skin and amazing batter.

Just had fish and chips from here and unfortunately it was cold, so my wife phoned to inform the restaurant and was virtually told she was a liar, so won't be eating there again ☹️

Brilliant food and service, got a takeaway every day while at Church Farm, delicious every time. Just called in and waited outside while it was being cooked. Fryer used a probe on each item to make sure it was cooked. Best Cod I've had in a while. Cash only. Son had a cheeseburger which he said was delicious too. Worth a visit.

Ordered via phone for a large family, collected 20 minutes later and the food was perfect. Would advise pre-ordering as they are very busy.

Best fish chips battered sausages and curry sauce. All my family love their food. Lovely owners too. Very welcoming. The best!

We ordered fish and chips the other night from the Rose Green Fryery and it was by far the best cod that I have had in Bognor. The batter was perfect, not soggy and not too greasy and the fish was meaty and really flavoursome. Plus they use those great cardboard boxes so the chips and fish don’t get all mashed up! Thoroughly recommended.

Have my friday meal from here every friday, you wont get better for miles, freshly cooked to perfection, just makes my mouth water writting about it

Always freshly cooked, the food here is absolutely delicious. Go early as this place is very popular. Their fish is succulent inside a crispy batter and the chips are never soggy or re- heated. Generous portions ensures great value for money. The chippy is very clean and the staff are friendly too. Highly recommend.

This is a gem of a fish and chip shop...Food cooked fresh on the premises to order, good size portions and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place...No pun intended ha ha

Went here tonight, food over cooked plaice was watery, chips were greasy. Wouldn't recommend it. Won't visit again. Much better chippies local but thought I would give this one a try. Sadly disappointed.

This is the best Fish and chip around always freshly cooked you will have to order and wait but its well worth it

I highly recommend the Rose Green fryery because the food is delicious and fairly priced, and the owners and their staff are very efficient and friendly.

Recommended to me by my landlady whilst on a short break in Bognor. I found the food and service excellent and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. On the downside the opening hours were a bit restricted.

Tried this place while on holiday. Very expensive cod and chips!!! Fish was ok but small and the chips tasted and looked like oven chips. So disappointing.

Called in for a takeaway, after being away from the area for a while, and was pleased to be remembered and greeted by the proprietors, who have been running this business for four to five years to my knowledge. Have visited several times before and found the quality on this visit to be up to what I consider to be the usual high standard.

Stopped here today as I was working round the corner, and could not fault the quality and size of the cod, chips were very good too. The owners have probably looked at some of the previous reviews and stepped up there game. Would return.

This used to be the best fish shop for miles- fresh and succulent. It was sold- the new owners have increased the price and decreased the quality. Todays cod was rubbery. The chips were earthy and dry. i wont be goping back

quality has really gone down here. usually get our fish and chips here and must say was really disappointed particularly with the chips which were over cooked and very dry which was a shame as in the past they have been good so unlikely to go there again

Nicely cooked large cod £5.70. Cheerful spot,pet friendly.Dog fed chips by hand by an assistant!The kitchen looks v clean and has a good hygeine score,which is reassuring.

Visited here yesterday to pick up lunch for myself and Nan.Nan had cod,which was cooked fresh.Batter was lovely and crispy and not at all greasy ,even after a 5 minute walk home.I had chicken nuggets,which were proper bits of chicken breast in a lovely crispy batter,not the usual cheap frozen supermarket rubbish that you normally get in other places.And the chips.Oh my goodness.The best chips I have had in ages.Crispy,fluffy,not soggy or greasy and enough to feed an army!!!!.All piping hot,reasonably priced and quick,efficient,friendly service.

Lived in the area for 3 years and have always used Small Fry in Pagham however was converted to Rose Green Fryery several months ago because of their first class food and service however the last time I visited the chips were not up to their normal standard which was very disappointing can only think the potatoes used did not lend themselves to making chips or the fryer was not hot enough or they were left over from lunch time but as usual the fish was perfect

The fish is freshly cooked so a short waiting time when busy but this just helps to enhances as the sight and smell of what to come is served to others

Por visitar el en leyes que a conseguir algo de té. Tarta sólo tenían 1, 1 tamaño de salsa (caro) y los peces eran grasienta. Las patatas fritas cuando llegué a casa estaban frías y sin sabor.

Always very good quality and friendly service. Very well presented and cooked to perfection, chips and/ or fish. Sensible prices too!

Very poor customer relations. Had to wait for over half an hour for some chips and a sausage. Other customers were being served chips whilst i had to wait until all the fish orders on the list had been finished. I don't mind waiting my turn but when they serve customers just ordering chips first whilst others wait something is wrong. There was also no indication from the staff as to the estimated waiting time. I would have asked for my money back had I not had a starving 8 year old with me. They were not very apologetic. Don't use if you want friendly and helpful service or are in a hurry

Came here on 15 July during a visit to family. We all had Plaice which was cooked to perfection to order. Well worth the short wait for delicious fish, thin and crispy batter cooked to perfection, with friendly service. What a delight and asset this establishment is to the people of Rose Green. Thank you guys.P.S. To the man who complained about his "20 minute" - drive into the Town and have something that's been sitting in a food warmer for goodness know's how long. Of course you had to wait, it's busy because of its high quality enjoyed by people who enjoy good, well cooked food.

My parents recommended me to get fish & chips here last Friday for me & my husband & we were not disappointed at all. It was absolutely delicious & I would thoroughly advise people to get a take out from there. COD was tender & the batter was crispy but not too oily. Chips were crispy & tasty too. Lots of people in there on a Friday night so obviously a local fave too. Staff very gorgeous & helpful.

Traditional fish and chips and all the usual extras. Great service with good opening times. Parking is a bit of a pain but it's worth it. Make sure the plates are ready to fish up the minute you walk through the door!

Ideal for us as we live locally, lovely food every time we've been, great for local small businesses too as they let you advertise a small advert for free! Definitely on our regular list for evening grub!

Didn't think I would find such a treasure so soon. Just moved down from East Molesey. Superb selection of all your favourites cooked to order which means a bit of a wait but it is worth it. Haddock to die for and enough chips to feed a family. Can't wait for next Friday ( I'm old school)

Waited over 50 mins for large haddock and chips fish was nearly all skin and batter and chips were greasy and limp will not be going there again soon

Have been going here for 20years- ownership has changed, but the original owner still works there!Food is always cooked to order- you may have to wait sometimes, but well worth it. Produce is good quality. Highly recommend!!Enjoy

Nice take away fish and chips shame it shuts at 8pm although they did cook our order when we called at 7.55pm... You can phone your order through and just collect

They never have Rock, so I have to have Cod, which is freshly cooked and the batter is just crispy. I always get far too many crispy chips and not enough of the nice ones. The prices are reasonable and the place is clean but very small. It's a 15-20 minutes walk from home and the food is still hot when I get home.

Brilliant fish & chips at decent price, much better than what you get in the nearby Bognor . Friendly local chatty girls the serve you and freshly cooked fish that has a nice light batter

Great for chips but not for fish. We have haddock which was cooked fresh but it was well and truely over cooked and very oily. It wasn't well drained after cooking. We ended up leaving the batter. The kids chicken nuggets had only 3 nuggets (clearly advertised). The adults were 10. Too little or too many! I think 5 is more suitable for a kids meal! Having eaten a lot of fish and chips this wasn't a great experience. We all really enjoyed the chips however and would definitely get chips there again hence the average rating rather than poor.

We are visiting my Nan and usually drive into Bognor for fish and chips, we decided to try out Rose Green Fryery and we were delighted! The large portion of chips was too much food for three ladies to finish but the fish was cooked perfect! lovely batter.

Excellent fresh well cooked fish in a very crisp and tasty batter, thick cut chips very good, very friendly staff and owners. Great take away.

My children like the chips here probably because theyre fried twice or more but they are exremely oily to put it mildly and cause me indigestion probably because the oil is recycled. Also the fish portions are small and another reason i now avoid this place is because you can end up waiting for over 20 minutes for your order to be cooked even when there is only a couple of customers in there. They would have you believe that they cook to order out of consideration for you but in reality theyre just worried they might have to throw any left overs away when they close at 8pm!! Fine if you want to stand up waiting for 20 minutes after a hard days work for a mediocre fish n chip tea but its quicker and healthier to go 5 mins down the road.
