Nothing like usual pub grub, much better, excellent service, reasonable price, no fuss. Couldn't fault it. We had Mushroom Stroganof, very tasty indeed; and belly pork sumptuous and perfectly cooked. Would recommend both.

Been a few years since I stopped off here and it hasn’t changed one little bit which I am so glad about.

The London Tavern

19/03/2019: We found the London Tavern on the Timothy Taylor's Pintfinder website, as a convenient location to try a pint of the world-famous Timothy Taylor's Landlord beer. As it was lunchtime, we stopped in for a light bite of lunch and were very surprised to find an excellent restaurant and excellent service from Phil and Sarah and their team. We wish them all the best in this new venture - they've only been there a few months - and hope that they will continue to sell TT. Many thanks for great food and service
05/05/2019: Arrived for lunch on our way to Bournemouth following a quick Google – followed the sat-nav down a narrowish lane and through a tight turn into the car park….

The Royal Oak Pub

08/05/2019: Last went to the Royal Oak about a year ago, the food was excellent again. We'd booked for 2:30 pm on Sunday with the last lunchtime baking slot being 3pm. The food we had was great, the service was great too. Slight disappointment that the first choices of dishes we wanted weren't available as they'd run out. Still enjoyable food and good beer, next time we'd probably book a little earlier or even consider giving an indication of what food we'd want when we book.
25/02/2019: I'm not normally a fan of a Sunday roast, but the Royal oak changed my mind! We had the beef and it not only looked artistically lovely on the plate but was so flavoursome, full of beefy beauty!
