This is an authentic pub that has retained it's original features; serving real ale at great value for money prices. Comfortable seating and the service is the best I have received in any pub. This pub is popular with local scousers, but if you are a visitor to Liverpool and you want to experience a real British pub, then the Roscoe Head should be at the top of your list.

One of my favourite pubs in Liverpool! The service is always great and the prices are very reasonable. There are 3 separate seating/lounging areas, but they are all very cozy and intimate. My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into The Roscoe Head Pub,a pub I always enjoy visiting on any trip to Liverpool City Centre I take. I love the look of this pub, interior is superb, it's a good old fashioned Victorian era pub, small interior, a great looking serving bar dominates the main room, there's three tiny snug rooms ,wonderful decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside when the weather is good. We were here on a Thursday late evening, we ordered session ale's from Fyne Brewery, these were served in excellent condition,we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My ale was really good, well balanced, well crafted, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with ale's served in this good a condition. We both really enjoyed our ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Roscoe Head Pub we had a great time. The Roscoe Head Pub is easy to locate along Roscoe Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, open from 11.30am. Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Pubs like these are why I enjoy visiting new ones and talking to locals and these will be the ones we miss after they’re gone and it’s too late to save them. On a small side street near the bombed out church, the facade is fairly muted. Inside it’s a warm, cozy place with a few small rooms and the main bar area. Learned about this place through the Timothy Taylor’s Champion Club and it hasn’t let me down yet. Barkeep and a regular were extremely friendly and helpful to a non-local like me. Likely my favorite pub in the city, the perfect pint and bag of crisps.

The Roscoe Head is an excellent pub thats located on Roscoe street and is one of the best real ale pubs in the city centre and it's a pub that's been In all the additions of the prestigious Good Beer Guide. This is a fantastic accolade for this pub as it's the only pub in the North of England to have stayed in the Good Beer Guide since it started in 1974 and is one of the five pubs to have been in every addition since it was first published in 1974. We have been visiting here for well over 40 years and it's just as good now as when we first visited here.We visited here early on in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like pubs as the atmosphere is a lot better when places are full. The pub itself has an excellent interior with a multi-roomed lay-out with superb fixtures and features and fantastic seating options throughout it's amazing interior. It's a really historic pub and was 1st established in the 1830's and has stood the test of time. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Timothy Taylors brewery Landlord beers which were perfectly served and were very well priced.A fantastic pub thats well worth visiting and easy to find from the bus stop's at Roscoe street it's a short walk.(This is my fifth review of the Roscoe Head). THIS PUB SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED .Discriminatory rude nasty female bar owner . I have a support dog for A hidden but oftern debilitating disabilty. I showed her young barman my blue badge and dog ID . He checked and served me and my friends who were looking for a quiet drink after a funeral . Then she appeared. Literally in my face. And personal space . demanding to see my docs. She told me she was going to photocopy them . I refused. I explained not all disabilities are visible . She stated .that blue badge only tells me you can park for free . This highlighted her ignorance on two issues Disability Discrimination Act and GDPR . She undermined her barman . She stated loudly . This is my Bar and I can ask you to leave . I don't have dogs in my bar . She told us to drink our drinks and leave . I told her to reimburse us and we would leave. She was aggressive. Ignorant and her drinks are overpriced £17 for three drinks in her pub . The same drink over the were £13. No wonder her pub is empty. A Vile experience . Embarrassing upsetting and unnecessary . I am seeking legal.adviceabout her discriminatory service .

And these, of course, are classic from a nitrous pump, which means "without gas" for us 😉

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city we decided to drop into The Roscoe Head Pub,one of the best real ale pubs in Liverpool. Been here a few times watch the football. It has loads of screens strategically placed all around, good crowd with a good mix of people. Has a couple of pool tables which is great as it's not all that common in pubs these days. Have yet to try the food but I'm sure it is great as well, looks good anyway.
