Rosa Italian Restaurant. in Bolton

I passed this restaurant every day when I was on jury service and loved the flowers around the front door. Last night my husband and I finally got round to visiting. It did not disappoint. The food wasn't cheap but it was incredible quality and worth every penny. The service was great, very attentive. My husband was tempted away from his usual calzone too. The only thing we disagreed on was whether the tiramisu or creme brulee was better and lets face it, this isnt the worst choice we could have. Will definitely be back

Came for a family get together bank holiday evening, it was almost perfect the only let down was the heat the poor staff running around in it. Massive portions and cheap for what you get was delicious. Great service from the guy and girl serving we will be back soon!

Attended for Easter Sunday lunch as a family party of 5, received nice welcome, was given a seat in the garden room and menus were explained. Looked after by Lyla and Eliza turned our experience from a good one to a perfect one, friendly, knowledgable, efficient a great asset to the Rosa team. The best food I have had in a long time enhanced by the fabulous ambiance.

Everything was superb as always Friendly felt so looked after Tasty food fantastic choice Adore this place and would travel to again as am from outside Bolton Well done. Maintain the fantastic service 🤩

Been many times before and its been superb,however tonight wasnt all that! Staff warm and friendly and a credit to your team, starter mushroom in cream sauce, there was no more than 3 mushrooms chopped and 2 tiny pieces of toast iverpriced,meals arrived 1 hr after starters lasagne was burnt on top and bland! Disappointed ,with the whole meal! New chef? Changed hands? Not for us anymore

The service staff was fantastic and the food quality was amazing. But please hire more staff. The young lady that greeted us at the door was serving tables, cleaning tables, seating new customers, dealing with uber drivers as well as greeting new customers. The lad that took our food order was also serving all the tables on the upper floor on his own, running around like a headless chicken but never lost his cool, he was continuously professional and went the extra mile for us and I can imagine he did the same for the other customers he had to serve on his own. Another young lad that was bringing food out to customers could see we had been waiting on hour just for starters and couldn’t be more apologetic, apologising for something that wasn’t his fault because he was on his own. Staff shouldn’t have to be under that much stress when working especially when your restaurant portrays as a calm environment. Please hire more staff, you are risking losing a genuine hard working service team for the sake of paying an extra wage or two.

We have intended to visit Rosa for months but loyalty to our other local favourites kept getting in the way. We were tempted by the January promotion and very pleased we were. The food and service was excellent and we have added Rosa to our ‘favourites’ list!

Second time for Christmas day meal and again couldn't fault it. The food, staff everything was spot on can't think of 1 single negative everything was perfect.

It's such a shame all that glitters ain't gold. The food was bland, the sauces lacked seasoning and like coloured water. Not good, a waste of time and money. Need a better management team and chef.

This is the second year on the run we have attended Rosa on Christmas day, Kieran and the team are excellent hosts. Both the food and the service are the best and we where treated as if we where the only guests dining there at all times. We will booking as far in advance as we can for our return in 2024. 5 stars to everyone at Rosa.

We as a family went to the rosa for my brother’s 60 birthday party we all had a fantastic evening lots of excellent food it was exemplary. As an ex head chef for 10 years at a restaurant and kitchen manager, I tend to look out for how things was cooked and presentation and have a critical eye And could not find any faults in anything which was served to me. All my family and the staff was so polite and really looked after us. It’s a job well done for the whole evening. I congratulate them and thank you so much.

Went with friends for lunch 12th December we all chose from the festive menu. The whole experience was great. The meal, staff and atmosphere could not be faulted. Well done everyone! Also must mention our November Sunday lunch, just me and hubby; very very good, but far too much food. Suggest two sizes of Sunday lunch (as Tavern used to offer) that would enable most people with smaller appetites not to be over faced and allow room for a pudding.

Went on Sunday for my birthday there were 13 of us we had varied meals off the menu followed by deserts birthday cake and cocktails 🍹 everyone of us enjoyed our meals and were well looked after. Would definitely return again.
