Roosters Piri Piri in Southampton

I ordered at 8.10 and it arrived at 9.55pm

Normally Roosters in Shirley is really good, however yesterday my order that was originally meant to be delivered at 19:30 latest didn’t arrive till 21:30, by this point I was already out. I called the restaurant around 30 times but each time the phone disconnected after 30 seconds. No update or message from the restaurant either.

No answer on the phone , no update on my order . Awful - never ever again ! I’m done

Couldn’t get through via phone for 30 mins to order a collection. Drove down to find just two members of staff in the whole building and unable to keep up with inundated orders receiving through delivery order machine as well as serve the 12 customers waiting to be served at counter 🙄

Shocking service, no answer when called, arrived 45 minutes after the revised time and then it was cold, huge thumbs down

Chips were stone cold like the delivery driver had his window was open but 10/10 on the wrap

Delivery driver broke down on way to address. They let me know and sorted out another driver and chucked in a free side and can of drink. Food is always amazing from me.

Almost 2 hours late. Food stone cold, wont be ordering again.

I went into the Shirley branch today to collect an order for a takeaway. I ordered a few meals, and an order of pitta and hummus. When taking the hummus home, it is infested with green furry mold. This is obviously way past the shelf life, despite the mold the hummus is far oilier than should have been.

Went in asked to use the toilet, well this was a trip they said it was upstairs and guess what the chiller was open and this is what I see I sure as hell will never order here again!!

this was definitely a big improvement on my last order. The chicken was tender and well prepared. The mash potato wasn't dry like the last few orders. Your delivery driver is excellent, very friendly , professional and timely with the delivery. keep up the good work guy.. you are getting back to how you used to be...

Great quality fresh food. Think Nandos but better. Delivery was on time and hot.

I order from this shop about 3-4 times a week (will be on first name terms soon 😂), nearly always early, otherwise on time. Polite delivery drivers and great food every time

Late, cold and wish I hadn’t bothered. Before ordering time was 50-60 mins so timed my order then it was 1.5hrs. Wish I’d just cancelled it.

chicken in the wraps was way overcooked this place used to be very good won’t bother going back again

The rice box meal deal was good. I was disappointed that there were no sizes for the box (regular, large). However overall the rice and chicken were good. The delivery time was excellent, I was surprised it arrived earlier than expected really quick service!

Food was ordered before 9 pm and arrived just before 11pm....absolutely appalling service. It took 2 hours to arrive!!!

My order never even arrived after waiting 2 hours

took two hours to arrive, and when arrived everything was cold.

I sent a complaint saying I ordered a whole medium spiced chicken and I received 3 legs and a breast in a lemon and herb sauce. I haven't heard anything back about this complaint and got told I would after 48 hours which it now has been. It was a treat for my partner on father's day and the dinner was ruined as he doesn't like the lemon and herb seasoning. I'm not happy with the service.

Took two hours to arrive and came stone cold and the pitta bread was rock hard and all the chicken was dry.

Food was good as always but It’s the second time i didn’t get my can of drink. Hoping next time whole order will be delivered!

not impressed with this order. Dry chicken and very poor quality mash. i have placed alot of orders from Roosters over the last few years but the decent quality foid that i used to get has now gone so this is my last order from this place , I'm done !!

Food quality is definitely good and would recommend but unfortunately fries were missing from order and this isn't the first time ordering delivery from them where items have been missing. If restaurant could take extra care to check all items are in bag before handing to the driver.

Half of the wedges were still frozen. Pitts bread was hard around the edges so was obviously old

Chips and coleslaw lovely no complaints at all but to advertise chicken TENDEERS definitely a bit of exaggeration as as tough as old boots so don't know where the tender was they went in the bin!!

Absolutely awful. Just gone to collect, paid extra for cheese and asked for no mixed leaf yet this is what I received

Whole Chicken was cooked to perfection the medium sauce is amazing. Sweet potato fries perfectly cooked and seasoned. All food arrived at a reasonable temperature considering the delivery was over 3miles

Don’t speak a word of English and missed half my order

pre ordered food before delivery was available and was was given a delivery time, the delivery time was extended a few times this has enabled the delivery to technically not be late, however when the food arrived it was cold. This is the second time in two weeks I have had the same experience from the same place.

My chicken wrap meal was perfect

I just don’t know whats happened to roosters, but the wedges were totally undercooked constantly happens now and the chicken was chewy and dry not juicy at all even with the sauce in it, so unbelievably overcooked, the amount you spend on roosters this isn’t what you expect definitely going downhill.

The order was incomplete, no peri peri wedges. The pitta breads had very little chicken in them, just lots of sauce. Very poor in comparison to my many previous orders!

Ordered food from here. Food arrived cold. One wing platter was burnt on the outside and the second wing platter was bright pink and undercooked. I rang the restaurant and I was told what I was saying was impossible, clearly wasn’t as it was right in front of me. Very disappointed in the quality of food and the service provided once I spoke to them about the issue.

I placed my order at 4.20pm. It is now 6pm abs I still haven’t received my order. I called the restaurant and the staff were rude and unhelpful

Was delivered wrong food to start with then was given correct food and was cold

Didn’t eat as was cold and packing had been tampered with. Called when the time had exceeded and was told that it would be 10 minutes, half an hour later it arrived and the driver forgot to give me my drink

Not normally an issue but today everything was an hour late and the person I spoke to on the phone and the delivery driver didn't really seem to care. Thankfully the quality and hotness of the food didn't suffer.

Fabulous piping hot succulent food. We thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. Although late we understand it was a fresh batch. Well worth the wait

I had a terrible experience before but gave them another chance. Horrendous- while the stickers will have no Mayo etc the food still had Mayo in- dietary requirements are important!!!!! If they can’t stick with that then they have no hope. Awful I would avoid and never will order again

Chicken a little dry, but nice, driver very polite

Very poor, 30 mins past delivery time despite being out for deliver well within time-or so I was notified. Driver then lied about arrival and the store lied about when the driver left. Shocking and no refund issued. Do not order from here. Go to Nando’s who have a much better delivery service

Wish I could rate 0 starts! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Won’t be coming back. Half our order missing. Kids ice cream come out before the food! Plastic found in the coleslaw, high chair was disgusting! Toilet was disgusting! The whole place was vile! Will not be returning 🤢

Never had a problem with roosters before we love the food. However, this time we had someone else’s order turn up and driver came back to collect it which is fine. But our order was sat at the shop for another hour so by the time it got to us it was stone cold and dry so inedible. If it was done properly after making the mistake the shop should’ve made a fresh order. All they’ve done is disappoint a customer twice. Mistakes happen and would’ve fine if rectified but rude on the phone and hanging up and serving wilted cold and dried food isn’t the answer.

I ordered on Deliveroo, it took over 2 hours to be delivered and the phone number listed on deliveroo was incorrect. I found it on google and called the restaurant wanting to know where my order was and they said it was showing as delivered. Very unhelpful, then 30 mins later it suddenly showed up, no apology from their driver or restaurant. The food wasn't great, not worth the price or the wait.

We were told it would’ve late. Did this Twice so it was very late. Then food was missing. They did offer a refund but as I was extremely hungry and needed to eat I asked them to send the missing food. It arrived with in 10 minutes but it spoilt our family meal as I ended up eating alone( the others were too hungry to wait )

Went to the wrong house food was cold awful service

Food was over an hour and a half late when I called up the place they gave me a really poor excuse and tried to tell me I hadn’t ordered. After giving them the order number after already giving them my name and address the food arrived 20 mins later. Not impressed at all. I didn’t even receive an apology.

My mum had the lemon herb chicken strips. She couldn't eat it because it was extremely spicy [hot] it's supposed to be mild but wasn't. I eat hot food but I found it too hot.

Gave us somebody elses order, they wouldnt put the order right or cook new food to be delivered to us. Wouldnt get the driver to swap the orders round either as they said the driver was already on his way back to the shop. Awful service

Won’t let me change the timing, but was 20 minutes late even though ordered at 6.30 so had over an hour and a half to get food ready and still was late!

Ordered at 19:06, arrived at 20:40. It’s a 12 minute journey normally. Good food though!
