Rooster Shack Kings Heath in Birmingham

I don't usually give reviews on food. But the food was cold saggy fries and incorrectly cooked. I had to step up. Definitely. Not gonna recommend to order from here.

Really good peri peri chicken. Bang for buck compared to the neighboring peri peri chicken joint.

12:15AM, banging wrap, plenty of meat and chips with a sit down meal at this time. Top tier.

Person at till was extremely rude there was no need to talk to your customer like that horrible horrible place never going to visit again even if they sell it for free. I recommend everyone not to try rooster.

I will never attend there again was not a proper burger meal the chips were manky and burnt and was not a proper chicken burger just to shape chicken dippers on a cob waiste of money down the drain absolute joke I confronted the cook he said it would take yo long to cook a burger

Guy at the counter was friendly, well mannered and served with a smile. Food was banging too, had the whole peri chicken

I have had fantastic service from major Who served me a dinner take, I have spiced Chicken fillets burger meal.

Every time I come here I feel at home with them and they have brilliant service and amazing tasty food.

What a super place, spotless, friendly & the man behind the counter was the nicest person ever. He couldn’t do enough for us (& even gave me extra sauce) the food was hot, & tasty. It is run by a lovely, happy friendly family. I would recommend this place to everyone. Definitely 10/10 not a single negative. Well done x

The best chicken around, been in here 3 times this week can’t get enough. Juicy and full of flavour. Mango & lime is my personal favourite. Prices are more than reasonable and the staff are lovely and friendly - 10/10

Quite good compared to Pepe’s. It does have similar food however I believe the portions here are better. They also have milkshakes which are quite good. The burgers are very good. Overall I would recommend

Amazing food, 1000% recommend, the chicken is nice and juicy including the breast and the BBQ marinate is 11/11 and the lemon hot, better then nandos and pepes this could be the future, plz don't change anything and the portions amazing 😋 😀 💯.

I've never had "fast food" taste this fresh, this healthy, and cooked to perfection. Everything hot, flavour..service was beyond exceptional. Hygine rating is 5, lovely spacious seating.. literally couldn't ask for more. I asked for extra cucumber and tomatoes and they kindly cut some and served free of charge. I'll be a regular! Thank you and well done. Very respectful & kind man who served me.

I have come to this place a few times and there’s always something that’s either missed out or the portions are reduced. However, today was an absolute joke. I ordered a ‘double cheese wrap’ and the man served it with a hash brown. He stated ‘I forgot to put it into the wrap but it’s too late now so I’ll give it to you!’ and walked away. I’m genuinely confused as to what I was supposed to do with a hash brown that was supposed to be INSIDE the wrap. It would have cost one wrap as he could have used the same ingredients that he placed into mine. It’s a shame, as the chap with the long beard is very charming and has excellent customer service, but this man (Mr Autistic) clearly has 0 idea. I see what this place is always empty!! SHAME!!

I went with the family to have lunch there but we didn't stay we left straightaway ,what a shame as this was our first time there and we were looking forward to try the food there. for customers you should put radio , music or songs on and if the staff wanted to listen to something else then they should wear headphone or earphone and play whatever they want. ***Thanks for your reply but that day your staff didn't put the store playlist which I'm sure your playlist is songs or music but they were playing something else I didn't put the date and time because I don't want your staff to get in trouble but still i would like them to stick to the store playlist please

It’s one of the best food and service ever in Birmingham if it’s not the best, I definitely would give them 5 stars and recommendations.

Chicken was nice , very shady on the peri salt for the fries though had to ask for more and it still wasn't enough. Also garlic sauce needs to be filled to the top. These are the little things that separate rooster shack and Pepe's.

Avoid at all costs the service is awful

Went in there with my partner as pepes closed and it was a blessing. The food tastes much better than pepes and is much cleaner. Staff are friendly. Would reccomend

Been back twice now and some of the best chicken in the area without a doubt, especially their piri piri strips.

Lovely food Normally buy food from Pepe's today I tried Rooster shack 1/2 chicken with lemon hot flavour it is amazing and nice to see pepes staff working here but customer service is amazing much better than pepes

Ordered an item and didnt tell me they didnt have it and gave a wrong item. Asked lager and was disregarded...dont recommend

As per the majority of the shops on the High St, they have a high step grrr. Luckily there were beautiful souls eating in there who kindly helped with our wheelchair. We enjoyed the service n food. The spicy sauce is banging 5/5 🔥

My kids and the Mrs and me love the chicken from here. At first, we found them to be stingy on the sauces, but the tubs have got a bit bigger now. This is more close to a Nando's taste and better value for money than say Pepe's Peri Peri, which is a few doors away. I like the fact that they have a Loyalty Card too. I can only vouch for this branch as I've not bought from any of their other ones.

I love this place. The food is great, don't get me wrong, but the service is wonderful. It's so nice to be greeted with a genuine smile and served as an individual. I hope the owner is incredibly proud of their staff and reward them proportionately. Thanks for making me smile whenever I get some late night food x

Ordered both Beef & Chicken burgers. Both were absolutely spot on and cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic, not rushed whilst making menu choices. Dine in area is by far the cleanest I've seen for a 'high street take-away' for a long time! Fantastic and definitely recommend.

I order the Lamb Quesadilla amongst other items. The delivery was delayed by almost 30mins and when the food arrived it was totally dry and cold. To make it worse the lamb has small pieces of bones inside which made it impossible to eat. Had to throw away the food. This has to be my worst experience with any restaurant so far.

Friendly staff,nice clean table and seating. Food pricing is fair too.

Excellent taste Nice and polite reciptionist over the phone Reasonable price compared with the same restaurants My only comment will be on the time taken for delivery it was more than 60 min, however it is still accepted in this time of day (our order was at 0200 pm and arrived 0305 pm) Overall experience it is a tasty food worth to try, I will repeat it again

I had a burger that was awful and soggy. The cheese, chicken and chips congealed. It took over 2 hours from order to delivery.

Just went to eat here with my wife and two kids. We had a really nice experience. I ordered the extra hot half chicken, and much to my surprise it tasted excellent. The lemon and chilli combined a perfectly balanced flavour. I was stunned. So stunned that I decided to leave a review. Chips where ok nothing special, chilli sauce was nice, with a hint of mint. Garlic mayonnaise was good quality. The menu looks a little over complicated which makes it hard to order, but that’s my only real criticism. What I had was simply high quality food. Top work guys well done 👏

Excellent customer service. We had a family day out with all the children and they made us feel so welcome. Kids were making so much noise but the workers didnt take any notice and made us feel so comfortable. The lady was so lovelym food was great, and reasonably price. Excellent portions, will InshaAllah definitely visit again.

A great addition to Kings Heath High Street. A family run establishment with friendly staff and excellent service with a personal touch. The woman who served us tonight remembered us from the last time we were in there. The place always looks clean immaculate. The food was lovely - really tasty and not at all greasy and the grilled chicken was really tender juicy!

First time I visited, the place was nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the mega grill rice box, and it tasted really nice and fresh. Would definitely come again

What a place, yumlicious food. A new edition in the halal market but what a bombarded entry it gave, plenty of choices available. Juicy peri chicken full of flavors with your choice of sides an drink. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend everyone in Birmingham to must try the food at Rooster Shack and I bet you want to come back again and again

Honest review !!! The chicken was oustanding fresh falls of the bone and the flavour was on point the reason for 4 stars not 5 was my burger , it really wanst worth the money i paid, ive had 1.99 burhers that were a higher standard

Great food and great service This is my second time eating from this place and I have to say the flavours are really unique. I've had the morrocan burger, which really was something different to your average cheese burger and today tried their chicken fillet burger which was really good quality. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu soon!

Very good service, very kind and attentive staff who made sure my 5 year old was entertained and brought his food out first - No one wants a hungry 5 year old! He thoroughly enjoyed his chicken nuggets and said it was the best ones he'd ever eaten! Food itself was very good, very succulent Peri chicken with flavoursome sauces. Accompanying salad was fresh and crisp. My wife had a peri burger and was very happy with the burger. Overall very good experience. Clean place to sit, great tasting food, and attentive and friendly staff. I will definitely come again!

The taste is so good and delicious. The internal environment is too good. I am visiting on daily basis to eat each food item but every item has different taste and I have no words to say about each foos item taste, separately. Simple to say, just come and eat, enjoy.

Firstly I got to say the chicken and rice was great it different to other fast food chains. Those who love there fiery wings have to try out the buffalo flavour buffalo wings it is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 literally. And finally the morrocan lamb burger I got it made smashed and words can not explain it, Rooster shack is A great addition to kings heath high st and it's my new best place. 🙌👍 Great customer service from the brothers I will be visiting very often.
