Room 305 in North Tyneside

Delicious food and quick service. The only down side is all of the coffee cups have chips in them... my son swapped his forming but we realised they were both badly chipped eugh... dirty !bin them as they're so ugly anyway ! Time to buy some new ones !

Came here for lunch, asked for a table of two, was sat at the biggest table in the middle of the room. I’m not one to complain, but I didn’t want to take up a big table on a busy Saturday. Every table was empty and we couldn’t move due to “bookings”. Anyway, ordered the chicken peri peri flat bread, it was delicious. However I found it hard to enjoy my food while the staff were busy slouching and talking about their social lives. There was one gentleman that was lovely on staff. Actually seemed like he wanted to be there. I work in customer service myself and I’m genuinely appalled how the staff acted. It’s sad to see a great place for lunch brought down by lazy staff, minus the one gentleman that was actually doing his job.

Had a really nice breakfast and coffee here today. Good value too. We will definitely be back soon.

First time visiting here, food was absolutely delicious! Not a vegetarian myself, but my grandma is and she loves it here.

Friendly and polite staff, nothing is a bother. Definitely recommend the flat breads & the sweet potato fries with honey are an absolute must. July 2023 - Everything was as good as the last time... Thanks. Sept 2023 - Had a ham and cheese toastie, made with tiger bread, delicious. Jan 2024 - Another lovely lunch.

Would not recommend for vegetarians or vegans. The food was nice enough, nothing note worthy and the staff were lovely. The issue is the pricing for vegetarian and vegan options, specifically for the small bites. The offer of 4 for £24 and 5 for £27 actually means that vegetarians and vegans are paying MORE for the "deal". If vegans opt for the £24 offer, the combined total of the most expensive dishes available to them, is actually only £20. If you opt for the 5 most expensive vegetarian dishes, you're also paying more for the £27 "deal" (it's only 20p but like.. that's not the point). Maybe there needs to be a veggie deal option? If you opt for the 5 most expensive meat dishes for the £27 deal, you're saving over £6. That's not really fair is it? Good service, nice enough food, rubbish pricing.

Food fab, service great and really good value

The vegan platter is no longer on the menu. Instead is a mediterranean platter which doesn't have the magic. The old one had amazing little peppers, a delicious potato salad, three wonderful dips and was just fantastic. The new one has two dips that taste shop bought, tasteless cous cous and some really basic chopped tomato and red onion. It was okay, but not a patch on the old one. I know so many people who went for the vegan platter. Please bring it back!

Nice inside but quite cramped seating. Food looks good but tasted very average. Cafe was too hot, unable to open windows.

This is our favourite place to eat. All dishes are delicious, served by friendly efficient young staff. Sadly for us, after the refurbishment the prices have risen, my favourite dish of loaded fries has gone from £9.50 to £13. So we will now save our visits for special occasions, rather than a regular treat.

Gorgeous food, great price, great atmosphere. The waiting staff were not very attentive, too busy chatting to each other to come over and see what we needed. But when they did come over they were nice.

Friendly welcome, eager to help very busy but really spot on attentive service, no long waits. The food was amazing, well presented and super tasty with deliciously different flavours exploding with every mouthful . I just wish this was on or near our local high street.

Absolutely incredible food everytime. I had the chicken souvlaki which came with pitta, salad, oregano fries and a dip. Every mouthful was full of flavour. Beautiful. Cocktails and mocktails are gorgeous too. Lovely staff and good service. Can't wait to return.

One of our favourites in Whitley Bay. The salads are very good value. We particularly like the orzo salad. On this occasion, I had the Greek Salad, which has generous amounts of feta. Others in my party chose the small plates. There’s a good variety of dishes to choose from and all we had were delicious. Good table service with pleasant and helpful staff. Ideal for a lunch with friends/family or just a leisurely coffee. The cakes are pretty good too!

This restaurant used to have an amazing vegetarian / vegan menu. I ordered the Mediterranean Platter. Half the plate was chips and rice. Hardly any pitta to have with the houmous. Practically zero green stuff. A small bowl of aubergine something just didn’t go with the rest of the plate. I hardly ate anything. Please go back to your old menu. It was awesome. I have no interest in a plate of carbohydrates. I can get that from a chip shop.

Brilliant food. Can highly recommend the chicken souvlaki and Lamb kofta. Staff are extremely pleasant and on the ball and the atmosphere is very chilled out and usually busy to give it a really nice feel. Felt very welcome even when we brought our new baby along in the pushchair.

Excellent food ,great service, and a top notch Greek salad,second visit yesterday did not disappoint either.

The choices of food here are spectacular. I am a vegetarian and the vegan topped fries is such fantastic value for money. I also highly recommend the white wine. Just a lovely place to relax, have a bit of time to yourself.

Popped in for lunch (we hadn't booked, but luckily, we got a table as someone was just leaving), so booking may be advisable... the menu is Greek, Eastern Mediterranean, Turkish, Moroccan ... loads of interesting sharing plates, all sounding delicious! They offer 4 for £22, 5 for £26... which was plenty for 3 of us at lunchtime. Can reccomended the lemon chicken skewers, lamb kofta, feta and spinach samosas, stuffed vine leaves and tzatziki/pitta.... all excellent flavours! Will definitely be going again soon!

One of my favourite places to eat and drink. Food is incredible. Mid range prices but it’s totally worth it. Staff are lovely and attentive! They’ve always been so accommodating when I come here with my baby. Easy to book and lovely vibe inside. Food is amaaaazing!!!!

This is our go to place for lunch at the coast. The food is delicious and the staff are really so friendly, creating such a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Always consistent with the service and standard of food.

Go here regularly and never disappointed, from the coffee to cocktails and hummus to chicken skewers, it’s always great. The food is just divine and the atmosphere is lovely, but let’s not forget the wonderful, friendly staff. Thanks guys.

Very busy little bistro cafe. Good food well presented it's a mixture of Greek and Turkish cuisine. It would be advisable to make a reservation as it does get busy. Definitely worth a visit

Lunchtime special excellent value for money

Room 305 is located in central Whitley bay, so easy to get to by foot but parking is a little limited. The food is of a Turkish Greek style, with lots of meat, vegetarian and vegan options available. We’ve been a couple of times now on a Saturday afternoon and it can be quite busy so if you want to be certain of getting a table it would be best to book as it is very popular. They do serve food quite late, and it does seem to be popular late on as well. Every time we’ve been the service is excellent, with the food arriving very quickly, always freshly cooked and tasting absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend the Harrissa Hummus with Chick Swarma and the Beetroot Hummus. The menu has a good range of options for main meals, light bites and flatbreads, with a breakfast menu served until 11.

I love coming here for lunch so I decided to have my birthday meal here, and I’m so glad I did! They accommodated 12 people really well, the food was amazing as usual and the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend as a chilled place to have a birthday meal as well as a lunch spot. Thanks xx

Stopped by for lunch, we had the vegan platter and the lamb kofta platter, both were amazing! Also had coffees which were fab, the art on the flat white was superb. Highly recommend, there are vegan, vegetarian and meat options (forgot to check gluten free) on the menu.

Delicious food. We went for breakfast and staff were really accommodating to dietary requirements. We had the Turkish breakfast but swapped the meat for falafels. Quirky decor, comfortable and spacious. We will be back!

Food was tasty but the toilets need a good cleaning.

Nice atmosphere, friendly waiter when he actually came to to take our order asked for 2 highchairs. Had to re ask. Had to double check it was table service as took a while to take orders. 2 tables who came in after us were served food before us, table of 4 (we were only a table of 2) and a table of 2 flatbreads (which is what we had ordered). After nearly an hour we had to pay for our drinks and leave as would have to rush our food. Such a shame because the food did look incredible. 😕

Was looking for a place with vegan food and this place really delivered! The food was flavourful and delicious. The staff were amazing and sweet. And the cocktails were gorgeous. Loved the atmosphere and the aesthetic. Wouldn’t change a thing and will be back.

Popped in for lunch today for the first time and it won't be the last. What a gem of a place. I loved everything about it. The decor is really cool, I love all the plants. The music being played wasn't too loud and gave a great atmosphere. Food was superb I cannot fault a thing. Everything was colourful and vibrant an Instagram fans dream with lovely presentation. Expertly flavoured everything complimented each other very well and the balance between sweet and salty was perfect. Very reasonably priced and perfect portion sizes. Only downside is the staff weren't very attentive. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to go up to the bar and order or they'd come to me because we were sat for ages before someone came to take our order and no one checked if we wanted more drinks/if the food was OK after we had started eating nor did anyone come and check when it was obvious we were finished. That being said that's only me being picky and certainly not enough to make me lower the rating I'm giving it nor stop me going back and recommending it to everyone I know. I can't wait to visit again.

What a great place this is to visit. It's been a long time since we were there...pre Covid. So nice to see the standards haven't slipped in any way. If anything it's better. Attentive well trained staff, first class food. Be back soon.

Have been to this cafe for the first time today and have come away kicking ourselves that we haven't been here before but we will definitely be coming back. There are so many things on the menu we want to try and what we had today was delicious. I had chicken lemon skewers and my husband had the Turkish breakfast. Both were delicious and the portions are extremely generous for the price. Well done café 305 and we will definitely see you again soon

Just an overall feel good experience. Sit on a random assortment of furniture. Watch the World go by through the picture windows and enjoy a unique range of menu items (or alchofrolic beverage).

The food has a Turkish theme. The venue is spacious and relaxing with very funky lighting. It’s a great place to people watch due to its many windows and corner location. The food portions and huge and delicious.

First time I have ever been here amazing service amazing food great atmosphere and just a very chilled place definitely recommend this place for people that like these kind of restaurants/cafes 😁

Very happy with our experience at Room 305. Efficient, friendly service. Good quality food in healthy portions. Eclectic range focused around Greek/Turkish influence. Nice bar set up too. When we were in for lunch lots of mums when pushchairs, giving it a very friendly, positive feel. Chicken Souvlaki main was great - generous helping of charred diced chicken with halloumi, oregano fries, tsatziki, flatbread. Wings and Fries, goats cheese flatbread appreciated by family.

They could not have been more accommodating and the food was really nice. We have been here prior to lockdown and they did amazing salads and all the food is very healthy (excluding the chips today)! Alcohol served and it’s a nice atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. Lovely food and will be back soon!
