Yet again we have had great food at the beehive inn, cooked to order but we'll worth the wait as it was excellent. The pesto salmon was fabulous according to my wife who loves salmon. I had the gish and chips with curry sauce and that was some of the best I've had. Staff are great and attentive and the place is really nice. Booking ahead is recommended to guarantee a table.. Good choice of real ales also available. We shall be back. Went with friends this week, the Xmas turkey lunch/dinner was absolutely spot on and worth every penny. A great place to eat!!!

Staff lovely, table service great, drinks very good. Shallot Tarte Tatin lovely. Lamb Rump meal great. Xmas Turkey meal, not so great - Yorkshire rubbery, stuffing no taste & rubbery, soft floury Roast Pots no crunch - just didn’t have any “freshness” about it.

What a wonderful establishment. Quaint, quirky with bags of character. Dog friendly too. Staff and service are impeccable. Mind your head in the doorway kind of cute. Food - sensational. Atmosphere was great, even during the day. Can't wait to return of an evening when the fires will hopefully be roaring. Well worth a visit.

Today i just called in to the bee hive to find it had been totally booked following a funeral. Driving through the car park, it was amazing to see people of all ages filling all the outside tables and no doubt those inside also. The manager apologised as being fully booked, but all the way home i smiled knowing that in grief, those there would be well catered for at one of the north's best

A friend had seen that there was a comedy night at the Beehive as it was somewhere we had never been thought we'd give it a go. We were so glad we did, this is a lovely little bistro bar down a country lane it's a quirky little place with lots of little room so this makes it cosy also 2 large gardens. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Good beer, although on 0ur first visit we never had food. We returned to the beehive for Sunday lunch we had to book 3 weeks in advance the food was tasty and well presented. A littlenote forthechef (the Yorkshire pudding were a little overdone for for my liking) I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon

The seating space was good and had a good 'old world' feel. Service was good and food was served quickly and arrived fresh and hot. The food was well presented and generally good quality. The portion sizes were VERY adequate. I had tempora prawns for a starter, which was nice but I would have preferred a lighter batter that was cooked so much - but that is a personal preference. We spent about £45 per head, which I thought was a little expensive for what we got.

We visited here for an early dinner yesterday. Food was excellent but the only really BIG let down was the staff. We finished our meal but sat 30-40 mins with the plates in front of us whilst there was 5 members of staff just standing behind the bar. It was not that busy at this time, the couple on the next table had finished before us and they were sat with plates in front of them as well. We noticed your staff were all quite young maybe they were waiting for someone to tell them what to do! We were going to order more drinks and coffees but we got ignored. We left with the plates still on the table and went to the bar to get our own bill. We normally always leave a generous tip but not on this occasion. As I mentioned food excellent but your staff let you down big time.

Late lunch - 4 of us. Food was underwhelming - my sweet potato and kale patty was uninspiring even with poached egg and feta - where the feta was forgotten at service but added later. My friend who chose the same dish had an egg with no yoke. The eggs in the shashuka were fried rather than poached in the sauce. Hot drinks were tepid. Service was excellent by young lady who ‘looked after’ us. Her manner was professional and personable. Instead of serving all 4 dishes at same time we had to wait too long for the fourth dish to arrive - banana bread. Need to do better. Not good value for money. There are far better cafes in the area than this one.
