Roni's Restaurant in Mendip

Birthday Girl, the occasion was a birthday treat for a special lady. We were looked after by Vas the waiter and nothing was to much trouble, his knowledge on the food on the menu was very helpful. The restaurant was buzzing with excitement. We will definitely come back and thanks for a night to remember.

Our visit was much welcomed and hosted professionally and friendly. The ambience is top-notch but could easily get loud. I had seared scallops and was utterly outstanding. The presentation and quality are surely provided. I also appreciate their set-menu availability throughout the week. Their onglet-steak was great and highly recommend it from the set-menu. Lastly, I am much obliged to their sommelier (Rafa?) for recommending the right wine for all of our food. We couldn't end the day without their desserts and had room to improve, but up to the standards.

We had an excellent meal, food was amazing. Very yummy cocktails, attentive staff and a lovely setting/ atmosphere. First time here with my friends and we all loved it! The lamb fillet cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend and will be definitely returning.

I came in for the lunch set menu. The service was lovely and the food was very appetising and the price was very reasonable for the quality.

Excellent meal had by our family of 8 to celebrate a 70th Birthday. Food , service and ambience was first rate. Restaurant was full, so hats off to them for providing such an amazing dining experience. Best restaurant meal we’ve had in a long while. We will definitely return.

Popped in here. Looked nice. Just wanted a quick cocktail. £26 two espresso martinis!! £30 debited from the bank!! I couldn’t eat here. Can’t stand dishonesty. Disgusting guys! How silly in such a small town

We went with our friends for lunch and boy we were not disappointed. The food and service was superb! I would recommend Roni’s for that special occasion as I guarantee you will be spoilt! We most definitely will be back.

I've had some terrific Sunday lunches here. But yesterday was not great. Food arrived within five minutes of ordering...why the rush, give us some time to chat, have a drink, get comfortable. We'd probably spend more. Sunday lunches are £30 a plate. The spare gravy wasn't hot. Neither were the roast potatoes. Carrots al dente to the point of bordering on raw. It was good, but not superb, which it has been. And with one drink each we were down £72.90 and back into the fresh air. That, reflected my partner, is the cost of a weekly shop.

Really well decorated and designed interior, with a great menu and excellent food - service is very good as well, and some really good wines by the glass. Thoroughly recommend.

Food is always amazing here and the service, a bit pricy but always absolutely delicious. I think steak at £38 with no sides or garnish is a lot and that’s what stops people coming, but to be fair I’ve never had a bad experience and staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyable meal with excellent food and wine. We had the 2 course lunch time special - I had the liver and my friend the beef bourguignon and we both had the apricot dessert. Everything was delicious and well presented. The waiters very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go again.

amazing place ! From arrival to leaving the staff are So fabulous, The bar area if perfect for a pre drink. The food is so lovely. We have eaten her before upstairs for private dining which is perfect for special occasions. Would highly recommend and definitely come back.
