Over 2 hours I waited for delivery. I was starving. Could have been catering for friends or having a party. Just not good enough.

Very busy due to the 50% deal that was running. Service was good as was the choices on their menu. BYOB a big advantage although overall I thought their prices were a tad high. However enjoyed the visit and would go back.

Ronaq Indian Restaurant is fantastic! The fish pakora was crispy and flavorful, and the lamb madras had the perfect balance of spice. The staff were warm, attentive, and made great recommendations. A must-visit for authentic Indian cuisine! Highly recommended!

Great food in a crowded restaurant- good buzz

La primera vez. Pedido una colección, 3 x comidas, arroz, panes, etc... Llegué a casa, abrí nuestras comidas y las bandejas estaban medio llenas. Pequeña cantidad de pollo, en cada bandeja. La salsa era bastante acuosa, El arroz era bastante soso. Las abuelas del ajo tenían un toque de ajo en el mejor de los casos. Tristemente no volveré una segunda vez.

This is my, go to, midweek Indian restaurant. I've been going for several years for sit in meals, never had a carryout. The food has almost always been excellent. They've recently changed to BYOB which keeps the price down and if you don't want to pay restaurant prices for a glass of coke, you can always take alcohol free beer, etc. There is no corkage charge. Not much else in close proximity if you plan to move on for a drink etc. I'm usually driving there, so it suits me fine.

A busy little Indian restaurant on the outskirts of the "touristy" edinburgh. It is currently offering a great deal of 50% off your bill. Plus, bring your own wine/beer!!! (They do serve drinks) The food was good and after starters, mains and rice and breads, we got a bill of £28.!!! Amazing

Delicious curry, and timely delivery. Only down side was we were missing a rice from our order, but we were refunded from just eat. Will order again, and would recommend to others.

I normally love my curry from Ronaq but I'm now somewhat baffled with my latest order. The pickle tray for the poppadoms was completely different to what normally comes and neither tasty nor visually appealing (artificial food colours). The curry was watered down and came with lots of oil floating on top. So instead of the usual thick curry gravy, there was a weak gravy with a bunch of water disassociating across the plate. Very disappointed

Very good Indian, not much more can be said. 4 of us had different starters and mains and not one complaint.

Shocking. The delivery time kept going up and up to the point where I called the restaurant and they instructed us to come and get the food. Got in the car and called the restaurant to find out the driver had just arrived. Delivery driver says it is a common problem with just eat. Very disappointing as food was 2 hrs late

We were asked to pay in the middle of the meal and made to understand that we had to empty the place at 10 p.m. . Door wide open to help us leave. No sale of alcohol. Bad service except the Scottish grandpa who was annoyed by the situation... in short, move on.

Wrong order delivered so I didn’t accept it. Restaurant could not find any delivery drivers so I waited about 90 minutes on top of the original time.

Food was never delivered!!! Contacted the Restaurant and they told me the driver left with the food 45 mins before I called. Advised me to contact Just Eat.

Curry sauces were great flavours, the lamb, chicken and fish were all bland. Chips, fish & chicken pakora all come in foil lined bags that just made everything sweaty. for the money spent on meal really disappointed 😞

We read good reviews of this restaurant and since it is only 4 mins drive from the hotel we were staying, decided to patronise it. After 5:30pm convenient to park along road just after the restaurant. To start with, we had 2 masala tea. Ordered the Bhukari lamb and chicken bryani, prawn masala and garlic nan. Did not disappoint, all the food were tasty and service personnel were very attentive and friendly.

What a lovely restaurant enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and warm welcoming from the staff ordered a few starters which was achari potatoes and chicken sheikh kebabs served very elegantly and for the main was butter chicken and lamb Karahi for an up coming special event and I was very impressed

It was our first time eating in an Indian restaurant and our experience was wonderful. They explained everything to us and recommended delicious food. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

So I went last year to Ronaq , I ordered the samosas and chicken Korma. Usually from my experience Chicken kormas are mild but this one definitely wasn’t despite letting the waiter know however it was still edible. The samosas are even spicier but this isn’t the main issue. My issue was one day when I was walking past Ronaq at night last year and I saw a mouse through the window. I am hoping they no longer have this issue because that is a big food and hygiene concern.

Quality did not match price. Starter meagre portion and curry was watery and tasteless.

Quick delivery. Food was luke warm. Korma sauce was very watery. Naan was nice, but again not hot. I wasn't keen on the Rice or onion bhaji but that could just be my preference. I had been to eat in the restaurant a few years ago and it was lovely food. Maybe a change in chefs. Overall, didn't enjoy and won't order from here again.

Friendly and efficient service from the moment I arrived. Really nice decor and ambiance with tables nicely spaced out. Fantastic prawn Madras cooked to the spice level i’d expect and a very generous portion size. Chapatti was also first class with a nice crisp finish. Nothing to fault and truly first class food, service and ambiance. Well done all the team at Ronaq.

Lovely India food, good deals for lunch Mon to Fri, 12pm to 2pm at about £10 (as of 2024 Feb), nice & clean atmosphere. Mango Lassi, delicious as drink, about £4. Why not enjoy an afternoon break here with a friend or friends.

I visited Ronaq for lunch , it was a set menu . Vegetarian option too , came in a lovely silver kind of platter dish & round the dish was various kinds of meat dishes & rice,also got poppodoms,chapatti & nan bread ,along with a separate dish with several kinds of dips .To say the least it was so tasty & pricing was really good too. The assistant was very helpful & service with a smile .Will visit again .👍

Thali lunch was excellent and at a good price; great flavours and the quantity just right. However, I do take issue with any restaurant outside London that charges £3.95 for a half pint of very ordinary lager. That is excessive in my book and for that reason alone I shall not be recommending this restaurant or going back.

Nice flavoured dishes served. We had ordered lamb Rogan dosh, garlic naan, pilau rice, pappad came with a platter of dipping pickles,chicken tikkas. For drinks ordered two glasses of Montepulciano d`Abruzzo, I1 Faggio and 2 glasses of 2016 Picpoul de Pinet Coteaux du Languedoc, Baron de Badassière. Loved the taste and the service! Delighted to visit the place for dinner over good catch up with a friend.

Onion bhaji, soft soggy and fatty, puri who puts cream or yogurt in this? also not enough prawns! everything just tasted over cooked nothing tasted fresh! very disappointed, wont ever buy again.

I was getting some dinner to finish off my last night in edinburgh and I decided to give this place a try. At first I was excited and I placed my order, the waiter recommended a started and I said I didn’t know what it was and he said he would bring it for me to try I don’t know why I was under the impression that I wouldn’t be charged so seeing that on the bill was surprising since it was about 5£ but I’ll move on. I ordered the tikka masala which I’ve had many times at other indian restaurants and this time it tasted like coconut milk, no tomato or spice at all and when I asked if i could have something to make it a bit spicer the waiter just said “well tikka marsala is sweet” and shrugged me off. For the price the portion size was small. Obviously a lot of people like this place as you can see from the other reviews but this is just my experience. This was my most expensive meal in the city and it was by far the most disappointing as well.

Sorry but a tandoori chicken should not be as spicy as that. Was more like vindaloo. Avoid mixed grill unless you can really handle spice

Lovely food! There was not a single bit of food I didn't enjoy. The butterfly prawn starter was brilliant. The Staff are very polite and clearly know the menu. Situated on a corner with huge windows gives a really open feeling to the restaurant and the decor is fresh and interesting. This one is worth a look up.

Benny was a friendly and professional waiter. We enjoyed our dinner and hope to return the next time we’re in Edinburgh.

Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough! It’s nicely decorated with an extensive drinks and food menu (and plenty of options for vegetarians). We had a few entrees and sides and each dish was freshly prepared, unique, and delicious. The service was outstanding as well. A great neighborhood spot!

Typical menu options with a couple house specials. Food pricey but good portions; made for sharing. Unfortunately I was on my own. Quite away from the night time centre of Stockbridge which meant it was quieter.

With bling decor, the restaurant was very overheated and uncomfortably hot. The food and drink are overpriced and over-spiced...but not in a good way. Just overpowering chilli heat. My dish of lamb was about a third onions in an indistinguishable sauce. I couldn't taste any of the promised ginger and spices...just heat. My face was perspiring...and it was supposed to be a mild dish. My sister had lamb chops which she said were beautifully tender....but she couldn't taste anything except chilli! Both our sauces tasted the same..i.e. of nothing except chilli. My sister had to order a glass of milk to cool her mouth. Maybe a first for the restaurant...but definitely a first for her. We grew up in Malaysia and have been eating curries all of our lives. So we know that a curry should be bursting with flavours - not just chilli. I will never return to Ronaq and certainly would not recommend it.

I Ordered A Tandoori Mixed Grill, Chicken Puri And Lamb Chops. Everything Was Amazing. Great Taste And Fast Delivery. The Restaurant Gave Us A Portion Of Brown Rice For Free Which Was Very Sweet Of Them. My Daughter Is Gluten Free So She Chose The Rice Over The Chicken - Deffo Made Her Happy. Would Recommendation This Restaurant 💯 And Would Definitely Order Again.

We ordered a takeaway from here, it was our first experience and we will definitely be back. The food was exceptional, tasty, well cooked, arrived super fast and hot (temperature). I can't wait to try the other dishes they have to offer. This has to be hands down the best indian I've had.

We love Benny. We came here with expectations that were not too high but high enough given the 4.3 ratings. But wow. Really nicely decorated place. Clean! Spacious. Very helpful friendly staff. Oh and the food..... Delicious. Even the pickle tray has a unique sauce made with fruits. Mrs had king prawn kurma. Delicious. 5 v large prawns in a tasty sauce. I had kabuli gosht. Lamb with lentils. Amazing. Ok. Just come here. It's fab
