Romna is my go to for an Indian takeaway. I've been going for years and I'm yet to have a bad curry! Well priced and very tasty, no reason to go anywhere else.

Without a doubt best Indian in area . Food always consistently good . Onion bahjis best I’ve had . Have tried most Indian restaurants/takeaways in Southampton and Romna is heads above all of them for taste and quality . Would highly recommend

Absolutely disgusting the korma had no taste to it at all the chicken pieces was to large and chewy the chips were hard and tasted like cooked in old fat definitely would never order from there again.

I often used Romna in rumbridge street but I shall never be using them again due to the last meal I had delivered. I even called them to ask if they had a different chef and if that wasn’t the case I wanted to make them aware that the meal they had delivered was awful and I said I just wouldn’t like to think that they would have bad feed back and loose customers due to having know idea that there meals were totally different to what they normally deliver. I couldn’t have been any more helpful letting them know, politely that the rice had large lumps in that was rice stuck together and not fluffy like it should have been, cooked by a proffesional chef. I struggled to seperate the lumps and the chips weren’t even cooked. Absolutely vile. I was told during my conversation that the next time I would like a meal from them it would be free of charge. I gave them a call to place my free order and told the only thing they said they would replace were the chips free of charge. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and said you told me you would replace my meal free of charge. He refused and I said how unprofessional he was in his manner and that I’m sure no other restaurants or takeaways would never treat there regular customers this way after a complaint was made, and he even had the cheek to ask how many other complaints I had made to other takeaways to know that.

Perfect 10 out of 10 tonight! Produced the rice to my taste on special request and was phenomenal, the naan was baked to perfection and the curry was uniquely and authentically the best Madras I've ever tasted. Also received 3 poppadoms compliment which for me completes the meal.

Food arrived on time but it was all cold apart from curry which was luke warm. Phoned to complain but was told " boss everything warm when left here". Had a lot better curries elsewhere in Totton, Won't be ordering again sadley.

Swimming in oil, actually poured off a couple of spoonfuls of oil off before plating up. its not often we have take away and now I know why. Yuk yuk yuk

Always use romna as and when we have indian food. I love the chicken pakora so does ensure my 1st choice. Food always nice and I've known the family many years. Can see it being cooked right before your eyes and are busy regularly so always recommend.

Dad loves the food here, in fact I travel from North Baddesley so he can have a curry for his tea

Comida ordenada para una familia de 7. Se esperaba un pedido grande tanto tiempo de espera, finalmente apareció la comida. Piedra fría y solo la mitad del pedido. Llamé para avisarles, me dijeron que definitivamente estaba todo allí (definitivamente no estaba) el conductor regresa 25 minutos más tarde con un intento de darnos el resto, pero aún faltan dos curry y arroz y TODA la comida está fría. Volví a llamar y me expliqué de nuevo, me ofrecieron que nos lo devolvieran, lo calentaran y nos lo devolvieran. (¿De verdad?) Absolutamente impactante, tuvimos que llevar toda la comida al restaurante para que se procesara un reembolso después de una gran discusión. No volveré a molestar.

Pedí comida después de una gran semana fuera con la familia y absolutamente disgustado con el servicio pagado 82. 00, porque faltaba la mitad del pedido, lo que habíamos entregado estaba frío y cuando lo devolvimos físicamente con un plato de curry y arroz, se negaron a reembolsar este plato. Nunca los recomendaría para llevar y después de haber mirado dónde cocinan la comida, ¿estaba asqueroso?

NOT HAPPY. There is a comment box when ordering on line which is notes for the restaurant. Anything from allergic warnings to pick up notes....well the dont take any notice and then lie to your face when you ask them if they read them. This is only the second time we have used Romna and this will be the last. Under cooked Naan that ended in the bin. Greasy onion bhajis and Dansak that was way too hot(spicy). There wasnt anything that I can say was good.So disappointed as we all work hard for our money and feel that it was totally wasted.

Pedimos una comida para llevar, esperé menos de 2 horas para llegar solo para que se equivocara. Les telefonearon para explicarles que el orden era incorrecto y dijeron que querían un crédito. Explicamos que teníamos hambre, así que queríamos que se hiciera el pedido correcto, que enviaron parte del pedido, así que tuvimos que calentar el resto del pedido. He usado mucho este lugar pero recientemente no ha sido bueno. No piense que lo volveremos a usar.

Lamb Rogan was fine. Chilli and garlic Nan breads x2 poop with sprinkled garlic and chilli spice on the top, NO FRESH GARLIC or CHILLI. Chicken chat main meal was short of any fresh cucumber and coriander and was mainly chunks of tough chicken swimming in sauce half of which was in the bottom of the bag. To top it off it was overpriced at £18.90 against about £14.00 from Nicole's which was closed for some reason.

Some friends invited us round for a Indian takeaway, purchased from Romna Indian takeaway Runbidge Street Totton. The food look and tasted amazing. A wonderful array of colours textures and flavourings, my only regret was that I couldn’t eat more, I will definitely be returning. Big thumbs up to Mahendra.

Have used this takeaway many times and it's an excellent curry. We even go back to it now even though we've moved away from the neighbourhood. Have tried others around here but simply no comparison. The chef's been at it for years and really knows his stuff. I can't vouch for the delivery service as have never used it.

Very cheap and able to take your own drinks in with you, we didn't. Tasty meal, not top end flavours but you're not paying much for it.

Took over 2 hours for the food to arrive they said it would be an hour it took for ages. No poppadoms either just overall not good service however the food is very nice but would rather not be expecting food and recieving it an hour late.

Used to get a great meal from here. Last three times we have ordered we have been disappointed. Tonight we tried them again . We were told the food would be within the hour - amazing! At an hour and a quarter we called and we're told it had just left them and it was on its way. At an hour and a half we called again and we're told it was on it's way. A two hours I called as it arrived. The manager wasn't interested in my complaint so we sent the food back. I feel for the driver - who probably uses his own fuel and missed the tip too ! Will not use again unless I receive a reply from the manager.

Food would of been 10x better if it was delivered on time and hot... naan bread was cold and chewy as it had gone cold, mains were also cold!

I have no idea if the food is good or bad BUT having phoned in an order and told it would be 30 mins. I went to collect the food but was told it would be another 10 mins, fair enough these things happen. 20 mins later when I asked what was happening with my food I was told it would a while longer. I left without my food

Delicious food, by far the best tasting Indian, freshly cooked in an open kitchen with lovely fresh ingredients. The staff and delivery driver are very friendly and polite. Would recommend to anyone who loves a good curry where all the dishes have there own unique flavour.

Romna always "hits the spot". If you want good Indian food, go there and watch the maestro work, then revel in the beauty of his amazing Indian sauce as it fills you not only with nourishing food but with a love for all things Indian. I love Romna, and you would be crazy not to as well!

Phoned to complain and spoke to what can only be described as the most arrogant manager going no customer service at all was told that for it to be collected (taking up to an hour) and a fresh on made the food had to be exactly as it was delivered so the one mouthful ment that it wouldn't be dealt with the manager also didn't know the correct temperature to serve food at. AVOID AT ALL COST only gave 1 star because it's the lowest possible they deserve no starts at all Rude arrogant and unable to deliver on time or have any sort of customer service skill.

Had been using them for a while until delivery time got to 3 hours and still wasn't here so got a refund. Thought we would give them one last chance and it did turn up in the hour however meat was tough and parts were cold so won't be using anymore.

best indian takeaway in south of england, food is cooked directly infront of you and the service is great. I never find myself waiting too long for the food and the food is always such high quality, for a small takeaway this place deserves so much credit, from my experience i cant think of any way they could improve

Ordered meal at 7pm for delivery, phoned back at 9pm to check were order was only to be told that the driver could not find us, even though we had ordered from here a good few times before. Will now use one of the many other Indian takeaways in totton that deliver

Highly recommended, great customer service and always pleased with my meals. Good value for money just wish they also provided eat in facilities but overall excellent place for those lazy cooking nights for the family.

En una calle con tres primeros llevar India tarifa disponible, hemos venido aquí más de una vez, probablemente todo cada 4-6 semanas. Buena comida, y un par de platos no disponibles en ningún otro sitio. El pollo pakora es diferente y fabulosa, y el vegetal romna especiales (con o sin carne o pollo) vale la pena probar (aunque un poco por encima de la mediana de calor). Sabor único que incorpora un poco de sabor anís ish necesita ser probado - no dejes que el pensamiento! Buena comida, buen precio!

Curry was delivered late and not very hot. Phoned to complain and was told there was an accident at Rushington that delayed delivery which was a blatant lie. Said they would deliver a complimentary curry, of which they didnt. Phoned back again and was told a member of staff wouldn't have said that.

This is a great takeaway, everything cooked with top quality ingredients including fresh spices (this is the Romna secret to producing superb taste - I asked the proprietor and head chef) all cooked right in front of you, few restaurants or takeaways are that confident! For a superb curry the Romna is the only recommendation I ever make.

La comida está recién preparada por Mahindra o trined de alguien por él (incluidos sus hijos) ad puedes estar y verle hacerlo. He estado utilizando Romna durante años y siempre me pareció que la comida era buena, abundante en cantidades y precios asequibles.

Hemos estado yendo aquí por más de 10 años y hemos disfrutado de cada curry. La gente ha recomendado otras comida para llevar indios que están más cerca de casa, pero este es el único siempre volveremos.

Moved to totton last year and as you do, tried all the local takeaways on rumbridge street and surrounding areas.....nothing comes close to romna, its seriously well cooked Indian food. Staff are pleasant, they always deliver on time if not before and they have a 5 star health and hygiene rating, which for a takeaway is excellent. i don't even bother to try out the new Indians opening here there and every where as they would have to do something very impressive to come close to these guys. Prices are great, me and my other half will share a dish, rice, and a few sides and there's always plenty spare.

This has been our first choice takeaway in Totton for a number of years now and it has never let us down yet. Great food and you can watch it being cooked too.

Esta tienda de comida hindú es el mejor indio que jamás! Mi familia y yo pedimos un montón de aquí a lo largo de los años y nunca estamos decepcionados. Pedimos algo de comida desde aquí el día de Fin de año 2014 y tuvimos un servicio rápido, la comida llegamos en menos de media hora de situar el orden y el personal es siempre muy amable.

Opted to give Romna a try last Saturday evening. Never ordered from here before but certainly will again. Chicken Tikka Masala was very good and although a 20 minute wait it was worth it. If you've not tried Romna give it a go..I wasn't disappointed.

We placed an order for a takeaway to be delivered at 7pm on a Friday evening. We were advised that it would be an hour as they were busy. Not a problem, we expected that really. After 1 hour and a half we phoned to query how much longer and it was apparantly just being bagged up and would be with us in 10 minutes. So after half an hour (9pm by this time) we were starving and I stated to get the bread out for a 'toast' dinner!...still no food. We called again and were told that the delivery guy should be with us now...and yes he just turned up! So we started to tuck into our long awaited dinner...and it was cold! Well, my chicken tikka karai was warm..but cold chicken tikka masala, naan bread, rice and onion bhaji was not very pleasant!I think the food had the potential to be nice if it was warm, but it is hard to give this place a better rating based on our experience.
