Started getting delivered during lockup, lockdown, whatever 😉😂 have had some problems with cold food,but not very often and I suppose that's really down to the delivery driver 👍used to be a chef,so I know what I can reheat to make safe.Apart from that,the mixed shish kebab is amazing, specially the price £10.50,cant even get a donner some places for that.Have to make the price up to £13 for free delivery.Chicken breast,1/4 with wing,only £3,proper prices,proper food,more stars, 🌟✨💫✨💫✨ Ted Elmpark 👍😁🌥️ still all good 👍

Very Appalling, ordered my food at 16:30 and still has not arrived. Called restaurant and they said it’s on its way. Still have nothing and we’re being denied a refund. This store clearly shouldn’t be running on just eat at all. Very bad customer service.

Utter crap. If the food actually arrives it’s nice - but don’t bother at the weekend when they’re busy. Every excuse under the sun for my delivery not arriving. After 40 minutes past the deadline I cancelled. Hungry kids complaining. I went and got KFC instead. Won’t be ordering from this place again.

Absolutely shocking service placed an 1800 via Deliveroo. Order stating it would be delivered at 1850. No delivery so call the restaurant no answer and voice mail box full. Went on to Deliveroo chat who were very helpful and state that the restaurant use their own drivers so they are unable to track deliveries. 19.28 delivery arrived challenged the driver who said he is Uber rider. I said no the restraint use their own drivers, he said they are lying. Food was luke warm. For £33 it is disgusting service. I won’t be ordering from here again

Ordered at 6:15. Sitting here at 8:15 with a hungry 3 year old still waiting for our food. Nobody answering the phone. Fantastic service all round 👍

Delivery is too slow always takes around 1 & a half hrs, you have to call and ask if your food is out for delivery, they always say it's 5mins away so add another 15mins.

Not Quality food. We ordered kebab and it tasted worst. Thrown it in bin.

Ordered from them before and had great food, but lately it has gone downhill. Just ordered large cod which costs £11! What arrived was a small portion of something that didn't seem like cod. And the batter looked like it had been cooked in old dirty oil. Fish was dry and only just warm despite being delivered quickly. The chips were just all the end bits. Hardly any full chips. Saveloys were barely warm. I won't order from here again.

Food is always fresh when I have been, chips are great oil never tastes stale... Chicken moist inside and crispy outside.....kebabs can't even complain cooked thoroughly

No not order via yoyo food is always late, cold and when you phone the shop they just tell you the same thing everytime "it's on its way". This is the second time it's happened to me, gave them the benefit of the doubt on the first occassion. Food was 30+ mins last. And couldn't get a refund. Don't waste your time or money

Order took over an hour to arrive, when I called after the expected arrival time. They clearly lied saying its going to take 5 minutes as it took another half an hour

The kabab was nice but the chilli sauce was fire. Really amazing. The delivery diver was fantastic too

Not sure if this fish shop has been taken over but the last 2 times we have orderd from here its been awful food was just luke warm and tasted horrible.... That's it won't be ordering from there again and we always used this fish and chip shop but no more👎👎

Got fish and chips and mashed peas here, with a pie this cost around 18 pound, and if I knew the minuscule amount of chips I was given i would have brought them back. Although the fish wasn't very fresh it was ok But the mashy peas teasted like processed tin variety and runny i have never seen or tasted anything like it before, it was horrid, God knows wht I paid for them, but steer clear...Also when I ordered one male was attending to us and all of a sudden a male from the back yard came in and took over without washing his hands ✋ which was quite off putting. The interior was ok, lots and silvery decor and a couple of seats to sit and eat. The other food inside the hot plates wasn't displayed very nicely. I only stopped to get a takeaway here because we were running late but I wouldn't recommend this place, too many things that were wrong with it for me to go back.

Small, stocky, guy with a goatee beard just had a bad attitude as soon as walked in. Walked out and never been back since, you have lost years of potential business from not just myself but others who I told too this to. Hope you were the actual owner- as I see your mug at the front whenever I drive past.

I just ordered food and it says it’s been delivered and it hasn’t?

Almost 3 hours for delivery. Non stop lying. First, told was in its way. Second, over hour later, told no drivers. THEN got told they had a power cut. Then finally on its way, still nothing 30 mins later. Finally i cancelled then 20 mins after turns up 😂😂😂joke of a shop who don't know what truth is

Horrible taste fish and chips .low quality and not fresh at all

PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM HERE! ITS HIGHLY UNHYGIENIC PLACE.... The guy was cleaning the hob with some spray standing in between the Doner skewer stand where we could see his body was touching the chicken and mutton doner meat. We, politely informed the other helper, it would be great if he keep the meat away from the cleaning area as the dirt remnants were falling on it. But the guy continued doing the same without giving an attention to it and literally simply ignoring it. I am worried about the people who is going to buy the doner which is exposed to the chemical spray and the debris. Is there any online food hygiene reporting site were customers can report such incidents? God only knows how the food is prepared here? Anyways not going to buy anything from here again.

I was travelling to Romford while off the bus to make bus changes. My son said mummy I'm hungry by pointing at the shop which I entered and made an order which took nearly 15 minutes to be ready for a peri peri wings and one piece of chicken and chips. Food came I requested for ketchup and they said they're only allowed to give ketchup to the one piece of chicken and chips not the peri peir wings with chips. Strange! Went on my way open the meal and the portion of chips was unbelievable. My son's portion was even worst, he ate and ate mine too because it's obvious he wasn't full for nearly £8 spend on food. Ridiculous! On my return I came off went there to let them know what they did and this guy who served me said that's what our manager said we should be using for packaging chips. Oh maybe you're new in the country that's why you complain.. seriously! How rude. Even after I paid nearly £8 to get insulted, begged for ketchup, without paper napkin and also left hungry because my son ate both chips. AVOID THIS PLACE! MONEY NOT WORTH THE SERVICE.

Ordered and waited over 2 hours. We called them and they stated the driver was 5 mons away. They never turned up! They wouldn't pick up the phones either. Please avoid this place. Horrendous experience.

You know what, the food is average. Nothing to talk about but nothing to complain about either, But….I have reached my limit on the amount of chances I have given this restaurant, they suffer severely with delivery. They SHOULD NOT be offering a delivery option. They are incapable to deliver on time, even after giving out such a long estimated arrival time. My ADVICE WOULD BE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU WANT TOP QUALITY FOOD THATS PIPING HOT.

The cod and chips was ok but nothing especial. I wish I could give zero star for customer service. They were so impolite and one of them even rude, as he was serving my chips I reminded him that I asked for a well done chips and he gave me the most scary look, and then in the very brutal way removed the chips from wrap to put it back in the fryer. I fell like me writing this review is a bit of waste of time as they’ll probably care on being impolite and rude to customers!

We went there to pick up some food yesterday. It took him almost half hour to prepare our food even though there was not any other customers. He then charged me 80p more even though the prices are clearly written there. I don’t need that 80p, but that’s not cool. When we came back, we realised he didn’t put our chips in. There was supposed to be two large chips, but he preferred to put only a little bit (i assume it was one small?). Chips weren’t cooked either. I also had stomachache all night, I don’t know from which one. First time there and I’m definitely not coming back. I would not suggest anyone to go either.

Tried to call the restaurant and no answer, food was shocking had large cod and chips which was luke warm, feel physically sick tbh and will never use them again, fish luke warm that is basics god knows how will feel tomorrow Well I tried them again tonight and worse than normal, just eat and waited over hour and stated food left in 30, called and spoke to manager Steve who said the driver got lost and then fell off his bike, eventually 3 men in a car turned up when talking to manager who said no-one had fallen of bike or got lost, they gave me food and money in cash but utter liars and the manager was giving them a mouthful on the phone which they said to me he forgot the order hence late. I will never eat here again and fish again was cold and horrific on what I ate . Would like to know if the manager is called Steve ad kept changing and started calling me Steve avoid this place like the plague imo

Dreadful food… second time in a month I’ve been given cold hard chips, and cold soggy chicken. Won’t be going here anymore… it’s local, but they really do chance it by flogging leftover.

2 hours to get a delivery why do they accept the orders if they don’t have a driver it’s pure greed they should let the customers know what is going on they don’t answer the phone stop hiding and treat the people who is paying the money to keep you open . Been to this place twice. After first visit was visiting the toilet the whole of the next day. Thought I’d give them the benefit of doubt and went back two weeks later. Same again. Great if you want to lose weight, if not avoid it

Several reviews here saying the food is awful.. I ordered the staple fish and chips and paid a higher than usual price of £10 for a large fish and small chips. Perhaps due to the price I feel it necessary to warn other customers to either not order from here or to check the fish before you leave. Because my fish was very 'flat' (little there, a few mouthfuls only). Maybe they'll improve in time..

Used to order from here pretty frequently, but unfortunately recently I placed an order, was accepted but they failed to deliver any food. They later claimed they had delivered food! Shocking! Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again.

DISGUSTING LYING THIEVES! Ordered food on Deliveroo. The restaurant accepted the order and nothing turned up after waiting over an hour. Tried calling the restaurant but no answer, it was clear they were not open. Deliveroo then tried but couldn't get through. The next day Deliveroo spoke to them and they lied and said the food was delivered. Will never ever order from this restaurant again.

Used to be a really good chippy. Now you just get a bag of crusty chips in with a few decent ones. Shame, it could be a really good place.

I ordered ben and Jerrys half baked dessert. I got given cookie dough. I rang to say wrong flavour was sent. They said that was only flavour in stock. I would have to make do. Ermmmm how about ringing me up and saying the flavour u ordered isnt in stock. Can i offer u a refund? Or checking if i would be happy to accept cookie dough instead. Not just landing me with something i didnt want. Vege burger and chips were nice though.

Absolutely delicious, ordered at 10:00 there was an issue with the order(just eats fault) re ordered and food was delivered in 20 minutes fish was fresh and light not oily and the chips were freshly cooked not recooked!! I will be back best fresh fish and chips around!!

I've ordered Rock & chips twice in recent weeks both times the Rock as been awful,very thin dried out. I've ate Rock all my life & I can safely say this is the worse 2 pieces of Rock I have ever had,been using this fish bar for years would never use them again the chips were not upto standard either. The 1st time I complained & they did put it right with 2 pieces of Rock so when it got delivered yesterday I didnt expect another dodgy bit.

Well long time customer, but the last few times they will cancel you’re order without reason, worst they let you know in an email. Don’t even have the manners to phone you. Being too busy is not an excuse, won’t order from again!

Complete waste of money. My son ordered food for family and guests. We waited over 1hour 40 minutes and called the shop to cancel the order as it had taken to long and our guests had to leave. They refused to refund our money, just over £30 and still delivered the food after we had cancelled. Please don’t order from this shop

Nearly 2 hours wait for our meal and when it eventually turned up the piece of cod that was sent out was dried up flat and very dry to eat which I ended up leaving, chips were ok but nothing special, safe to say I won’t be going back!

Ordered through Uber eats, 2 kebab wraps and received 2 burgers. Called the shop the try sort out the problem. I was passed to 3 different people on the phone, was informed that it will have to wait until tomorrow as there was no manager working that night, I told them it’s not good enough, to which they replied that I was getting on their nerves! Poor customer service!!! Will never be returning.

The pies were all uncooked and had to cook it myself in the oven, even then it was raw. The chips were extremely oily and did not enjoy it at all.

I do enjoy my meals from this chippy 😊 But the last few times I’ve Ordered meals/deserts I’ve got the wrong things not once but a few times now, I’m sure our meals would be more Delicious if we got what we payed and Ordered

I do not recomand !!! I ordered 3 mixed kebabs witch took 1 hour and 20 min to arive. The chicken meat was red .. and i got charged twice for the same order. 60£ instead of 30£. I called them 4 days in a row to get a refund only to find out that i cannot! Not professional at all !!!!!

Absolutely shocking service. I can’t get through to restaurant as I have now been waiting for 2 hours for my food. Deliveroo cannot also get in contact with the restaurant. I have had to fight my way through deliveroo to get a refund for the order that has not arrived and indefinitely will not arrive as cannot get through to the restaurant. Have tried to call them over 20 times and no answer. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DIVE OF A RESTURANT!

Might Be The Worst Place I've Bought Food. Ordered a chicken burger and chips - felt like a naughty lunch! What I received wasn't the lovely burger in the image on the menu. It was a breaded chicken steak, with a squirt of chilli sauce. Manky. Do yourself a favour: go 2 doors up to North Street Cafe and avoid disappointment.

It's OK - decent enough fish, but batter not a patch on some of the better establishments (seem to sit steaming too long in the heat cabinet thereby losing the crispness) and chips are a touch soggy. Pies, sausages, chicken etc are all bog standard. Decently priced, but so-so quality doesn't justify charging more.

Driver had no GPS or google maps on his phone. Spent 30 minutes parked on completely the wrong street despite my telling him exactly where we were. Stood outside in the cold for 15 min hoping he’d drive by and I could flag him down. Turned up 45 late with stone cold food. I just refused to accept it and sent it back. Zero stars.

Amazing food but sadly they don't deliver

Visited recently and the portion sizes are so small now. I ordered haddock and chips and the haddock alone was £7.50 and it was tiny, and not many chips either. For the price I paid I would rather go to Wetherspoons for a decent portion and you're able to sit down.

This chip shop has really gone down hill portion sizes vary depending who serves you the savaloys are dry and the sausage in batter is greasy , I've been going to this chip shop for years but will not be going here again
