Romany Rye in Breckland

Food what you expect from Wetherspoons nice as always. Hot drinks when the lady came with the mug I asked where the machine was and the answer was “just around the corner up the stairs where the queue is”! When I got there there was only one machine working and the lady who then came behind me said “still only one working, it has been like this all week”! 🤷‍♀️ To only have one hot drinks machine working in a place of that size is ridiculous and if it has been the case all week even worse! Also why do Wetherspoon insist on advertising Hot chocolate and then say “sorry we don’t have any”! 🤷‍♀️Come on Whetherspoons sort it out either take it off the menu or supply it!

We haven't been to the Romany Rye since just before covid and it used to be our go to for a quick bite on a Tuesday while in town shopping. We finally came back today because mother in law was missing the steak club and we're glad we did. Yes it's still a little dated but it was clean, cool and not too busy. There were 5 of us and we had 2 rare steak with Mediterranean salad meals, gourmet steak meal which mother in law insisted on having well done, a gourmet bbq burger and a buttermilk chicken burger with some added halloumi and onion rings. We ordered on the app and our drinks were brought over really quickly and the waitress was lovely even if she did have to age check my 27 year old son, he was flustered but it has to be done and it gave us all a giggle. The food was all lovely, the rare steaks was really good and the salad was delicious. We all really enjoyed the meal and the wait staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Food wasn't very impressive. My mixed grill was probably the worst I've ever had. Might have got unlucky with the cuts of meat that ended up gristling up my plate, but it wasn't good. My partner was hoping for a few more chips with her £13 fish and chips too. Having said that, this is a mass-catering operation. It's huge. There must be almost 100 tables. We visited at peak lunchtime on a Saturday, the place was packed, but to be fair the staff seemed to be doing a great job. The odd crumby table is forgivable I guess and the kitchen which must have been under huge pressure managed to get our meals out to us within 20 minutes. Very impressive. The delivery staff were a good bunch, friendly and calm under pressure. The restaurant was also quite dark (not necessarily a bad thing) but it was very hot. The air conditioning was pumping out even more heat from the ceiling when the place was already well over 20C! T-shirt weather in Wetherspoons. In other news, the condiment selection was comprehensive; the male toilets were in excellent condition (although one hand dryer was out of order); the female toilets (my partner tells me) were a different story with a substantial leak making the floor more than a little damp and unpleasant. In fact she described it as 'the shallow end'. Not great. We like Wetherspoons overall though and have a lot of respect for what the folk there achieve but on this occasion it was a little sub-par.

Arrived at 3.45 on Tuesday 19th for a nice quiet drink.OMG....So many young kids screaming,no parent control. Staff ignored them. Moved to near door to escape the mayhem. 2 running around the nice outside area. Won't come again. Can hear them screaming here also.

Arrived here it 12.30 for lunch and it was already busy but managed to find a table. Both fish and chips and Jalfrezi curry were tasty. Friendly, helpful staff. Just an observation when going to the toilet there is a small lift which I assume is for customers otherwise disabled and parents wanting baby changing room may find the steps tricky, otherwise great place

Going on a trip to Great Yarmouth this restaurant is aboutour half way mark so always a welcome stop. As always staff are friendly and efficient, service is quick and the food always tasty. Our party was 11 today and we all ordered breakfast some with lots of bits and pieces but everything was correct and tasted scrummy. Black pudding was a bit overdone but I am quite fussy! Seemed a bit short staffed today but I could not hear any complaints the team did a fab job and deserve a pat on the back. Well done again Romany Rye team we will be back.

What is happening here? Used to be hotel quality pub/restaurant, with nice food. Today, yet again, kitchen closed, but nobody tells you. You guess once the app is showing all food "out of stock", you go to the bar and an employee tells you, yes, kitchen closed, but doesn't have a clue when it will re-open. The place itself is getting real grubby, the carpet is sticky, tables dirty or not cleared. Nothing less than disgusting. So disappointing compared to just 3 years ago, when this was somewhere we enjoyed, good food, nice atmosphere, clean, but not now. Don't say you haven't been warned, I am happy if you are busy enough to stay open, but not sure if we want to visit again in a hurry. Improvements needed! Must try harder...

The Romany Rye - Wetherspoons Dereham We arrived in Dereham too early for our family visit after a 2hr drive this weekend, so decided to visit the Wetherspoons for breakfast to pass the time. Thankfully there was a parking space just a short walk outside the pub, but there is a car park a short walk away if there aren’t any spaces available outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, it’s much grander than our local one, although quite dark with all the wood panelling and dark paintwork. The breakfast was also nicer than ours, nice and hot with the eggs arriving perfectly runny, as requested, and perfectly cooked Vege sausages. A few issues, unfortunately we hadn’t noticed a couple of the mayonnaise sachets from the condiments area were already open, so when we got them back to the table they had leaked on our hands and onto the table, luckily it hadn’t gone on our clothes! The menus were also very grubby and needed a good wipe over, luckily there was a trolly with a roll of wipe, so we used that to clean everything! Unfortunately this pub/hotel is NOT fully accessible for disabled/wheelchair users. There’s a small level area suitable to sit as you enter the pub if using a wheelchair or a walker (as I do), but unless you have someone to help, you’ll need to navigate a couple of steps down to the condiment area and then a number of steps up to the bar and toilet area. We did notice they had a lift over to the far left, although not sure where it leads as there was no housing above it, so it certainly didn’t appear to go up to anywhere, but you’d still need to get down and up the first few steps to use it anyway! The toilets were clean, even if I had to navigate 5 steps to get to them! Other than that, it was a nice enough Sunday morning visit.

I have noticed lots of poor reviews. Hard to find a empty table that has been cleaned. I have always found food okay here, where else would you find a pint of cider and a sirloin steak for a tenner!

Go anywhere else but here. Ordered lunch. Last item was a pint of real ale. All ales were off. No advance warning, no covered up pumps, no apology. Worse was to come. Both lamb and steak in mixed grill totally inedible - just sinew and fat. How any business can buy meat this poor I don't know. Gammon dried out so tough. Mixed grill reduced to sausage and chips, with peas and mushroom. Not much of a lunch.

My half chicken was over cooked so very dry. Did not enjoy. Draught beer was not available so the whole exsperiance not enjoyable. This was a one of visit

Shipyard like Guinness requires a blue nozzel. Is a blue nozzel expensive. My pint of shipyard was awful, mentioned to staff to no avail. It comes out flat with other nozzles so why is it not served correctly!! Imagine a flat pint of Guinness! Please do something!

Wisbech has now the blue nozzell on Shipyard have you yet please?n This is a really nice friendly pub and we love it but beer must be served correctly. BIll

What ever has happened to this wetherspoons went with friends,no salt to put on your food ladies toilets filthiest we have seen most not even flushed no paper in them.male toilets no water in taps so can't wash your hands after using the toilet no choice on menu it seems like they are running this into the ground.no wonder this company is losing money if they can't even get the basic stuff right

Attended this restaurant at the weekend, pizza was very average, toppings tasted decent quality but for that dough, I’ve had better tasting cardboard. Overall 4/10

As we were staying for three nights in the hotel above used the pub for our first evening meal. Fish and chips plus a pint and the apple crumble dessert were ordered at the bar and served quite promptly. All dishes were hot and tasty....

Ordered scampi and chips with a side plate of bread and butter and a mixed grill for myself. Plus two pints of beer. We ordered from the table on the app quite easily, the food came first about eight pieces of scampi "" large portion...

First time back into a “spoons” since the restrictions have been relaxed, good service tables sanitise before we sat down, screens still in place in some areas, app was good and responsive, service from it was quick but we were told that service at bar...

Visited with my husband. Was able to enter and get a table straight away. Used the app to order. Drinks and food arrived quickly and correctly. Staff friendly. Very big que to get in as we left... Very good. Will definitely return.

Been here a few times now, always enjoy it. The food is tasty and cheap!! However there was a bit of a wait, and there isn’t many GF, DF, Vegetarian or Vegan options. Staff were kind and welcoming, really recommend!! ☺️

Our fav. local Ws.... Ordered a pepperoni pizza at 4.30. Not busy at all. Possibly the worst pizza ever had! Looked very pale and odd when delivered. Raw underneath, pepperoni looked ok. Waitress did not return to ask how our food was, would have returned....

Came for breakfast. Service awful, 32 minute wait for a breakfast if If I'd eaten all of it would have resulted in a dental appointment. Veggie breakfast sausage was so hard. A real let down, seeing as we were outside so probably a quarter of...

The place is an absolute disgrace with total disregard for all customers. rude an obscene with a vulgar attitude I would never recommend this place.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband, lovely clean room, great service and very friendly helpful staff. Food was good at very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.

Waiting to be served but, the barman was more interested in having a conversation with another member of staff. Waited several minutes for them to finish and was finally served. I always thought that customer service was an important part of any establishments agenda.

We had been for a meal out for a family member’s Birthday. There were 5 of us but Were told one of us would have to sit on their own as their company policy is 4 people to a table. Absolutely ridiculous! Resulted in one...

Had breakfast here before heading home after our holiday. Was so easy to order via the Wetherspoons app. Food was delicious and piping hot.

Came here a few weeks back for a meal for a meal wasnt much of a wait and the beer was fine , just busy not sure if covid measures are being fully adhered to though.

visited 13th August. Held at the door by a doorman who said we needed to wait until a table was free. Great as we presumed tables were being cleaned as Customers left and hygiene was being followed as per government guidelines. Oh no! A few...

We went for a drink and hopefully a meal today. We were directed to table 24 which was littered with 4 used glasses, dirty, wet menus and a wet receipt. The table was sticky and dirty. We ordered a drink from the app. We waited 20 minutes for the drinks and when they arrived we asked for the table to be cleaned. The waiter said he would send someone to do it but nobody came. We finished our drinks, obviously did not order food and left. We will not return.

After a busy day, decided to call in for a meal, partners steak fine, my veggie burger was served cold, approached management staff to ask for a replacement meal, this came better, it was luke warm! Same management person cleared plates no mention of how was your meal ?? Shake up and wake up please.

Always good value for money. Steaks are cooked to perfection, medium rare. Can honestly say they know how to cook a steak. Drinks included so you can’t beat it.

I had a lovely steak meal. The atmosphere was really relaxing and the staff were great. I would recommend you give this place a try.

First time to the Romany Rye, as always at Wetherspoons they were very busy, found the quality of the food was very good and not forgetting the excellent prices for food and drink. Will be returning.

Went out for breakfast with my friend. She ordered full English and I ordered eggs Benedict. My eggs came completely solid, almost like hard boiled eggs, instead of gooey runny eggs on top of the muffin. My food was cold and so was my friends. The hollandaise sauce was poor quality too. Don’t usually dine at Wetherspoons as had disappointments before, this just solidified my idea about the place.

Almost every Friday my wife and I come hear about 1pm for a meal. But its not the Friday we are complaining about. We are apaulled at the meals dished up to us on the 22nd December 2019.We decided to have our meal on this Sunday around 1pm and ordered the Christmas meal of Turkey and trimmings. When it arrived it was just Plonked on our table. The Waitress just left withour saying anything. On a Friday we get asked regularly about our meals by staff. The Xmas meal as Pictured was better looking than the meal itself.Four young Ladys sitting at the adjioning table gave our meal a horrible look ? I put my fork into the potatoe and it all lifted up in one ball of Gel. The Turkey was dry and from a roll by the look of it. I had one little carrot with a minute ammount of gravy. It looked absolutely AWFULL. My wifes was the same.It looked as if the meals had been plated up and warmed on a hot oven and dished out to order. The Chef had no care at all in his/her work and these meals do go down as the worst meals we have ever had in any Wetherspoons Pub from Norwich to Edinburgh to Glasgow to Oban.We complained. The manager offered us another meal. We said NO to the Xmas dinner. My wife ordered a Pasta meal. I ordered the steak pie and chips.These meals were again plonked on the table. The Pasta was like my mash potatoes.... one lump of GEL. My wife broke it apart to eat it. The Pie was not a Doom Bar Pie but the only pie on the shrinking menus of this Pub chain. The pie was below average and pastry was tough. The chips again were a dark brown and nothing but stodge. The worst chips ever at any Wetherspoons pub. We ate what we could and left in disgust. We got the impression that Sunday staff are different from weekday staff ????? We recognised no-one from weekdays.We have a message for Tim. Please check all your pubs in Norwich as they are all falling in standards and many staff dont seeem to care about there work. In the past year standards have dropped at all Norwich Pubs. For example at The Queen of Iceni in Norwich. Our Party of 4 got there at 4pm and stayed there till 7.40pm drinking and eating meals. From 5pm till we left no-one asked if our meals were okay ? We sat overlooking the Warterfront at ground level. There are around 8 tables. In the time we were there a waitress only moved two plates. The rest of the tables were were piled high with empty plates as customers moved them to get an empty table.Customers came in and looked at the tables and left in the hope a table was empty somewhere else ? We sat there in the middle of tables full of other peoples empty plates. This is not on. Over the past two years the Menus have changed and currently there is not much choice. Last Friday the 7th february a regular at The Romany Rye said the pubs had become a cheap Burger café. On the 7th my wife and I had Prawns etc and they were of good quality. The chips were great and not Stodge. Again the tables were not being cleared. I cleared a table myself as did another regular. Please Tim - restore some of the old menus as not everyone likes Burgers, Steaks or Pizzas. Bring back the smoked salmon on a bed of mixed salad and the Ceasar Salads etc. Finally, Tim...... at the Romany Rye there used to be a young waitress who served you impeccably and with good manners. She also worked harder than anyone else. She also cleared the Tables and Cleaned them as well........ this is something many staff at all your Pubs do not do any more..... Staff must learn to clean as well as Clear a table.When i go abroad to any Country a waiter will not let us sit down untill the Table has been cleared and cleaned and foodstuffs swept from the seats and floor.Please Tim walk into your Pubs and see whats happening - unnanounced.Stephen and Jane ..... This Wetherspoons enjoys the luxury of having a captive audience inasmuch as there is not much other competition in Dereham town itself. This makes them lazy and cheap in terms of the standard and quality of food served. I ordered a glass of the rose at the bar, when it came I took one sip and almost gagged; it was awful. I said to the server that it was impossible for me to drink, and could I replace it? The server asked another member of staff who looked at me like I was something nasty she had found stuck to the bottom of her shoe, then said ‘if you‘ve drunk from the glass we won’t replace it.’ I responded that it would be difficult for me to know whether I liked their (pump dispenser rose wine - it doesn’t come out a bottle) without actually trying it? I bought a glass of the pump dispenser Chardonnay which was drinkable. I know the food is cheap but the ‘award winning’ steak and kidney puddings were laughably awful. Tiny little dome of soggy pastry filled with a gelatinous ‘gravy’ and a few tiny pieces of very chewy meat and the tiniest shards of kidney. Mashed potato a congealed, watery, lumpy splodge that looked to have been spread flat on the plate with the back of a spoon, and peas that were light green and wrinkled. Everything on the plate microwaved on high heat, scorching to the tongue. Awful, I left the plate half unfinished, the server who collected my plate looked at it, said nothing, just whipped the plate away. We are never returning.

Came for breakfast this morning, won't be going again, all of it cold, beans must of been straight out of the fridge, egg was chucked on the plate broke and upside down, just shows there's no care on the food going out, waiting for someone to come back and check on the table but know one did.

Popped in for a quick lunch and was happy that they were still serving the Scottish burger with haggis, which was really nice.My friend had the halloumi wrap but unfortunately tthe halloumi was burnt , so not quite so good for her.Restaurant was busy as always

It is such a shame that a lovely place place like Romany Rye, which have such friendly, willing staff are let down by the kitchen catering side. I have been on more than one occasion recently to have breakfast before work and whilst on leave, each time 90% has been cold and i did advise the person collecting my plate as i had left so much of the cooked breakfast on the plate. She said that she would pass it on to the kitchen staff. The last time i went the only thing that was hot was the sausage. Bacon is often well over cooked to shrivelled and tomato, it is hard to recognise it as such. When the toast has been done well it was really lovely. Hash brown - never hot yet. To the extent i will not go there for breakfast until i hear or see some positive reviews. Go back a few months go and the breakfast was lovely.I don't know why they struggle with breakfast as they can do a lovely meal at lunchtime. Unfortunately there are not many places in Dereham that do a breakfast early that are good. Home Sweet Home would be worth visiting to see how to cook breakfast.Sorry

Not a bad place to eat if you're looking for a cheap meal. Theres a variety of different seating areas and a good selection of drinks on the menu. I've had a few meals here and each one has been average, however for the price you cant expect much more. I like their steak and chips meal, the steak is always cooked well and the chips are nice. I dont really rate the three bean chilli, the last one I had the rice was cool and hard and the chilli tasted like morrisons 50p three bean chilli soup! My mum had the egg and beans breakfast fry up style meal and there was hardly anything to it, it certainly wouldn't fill you up! The food always arrives quickly which is great and the staff are quite friendly.

Nice Christmas menu, but according to the app somethings they’d run out of. The app is a great feature to order food and drink on, on a busy Friday night and the last day of work for many people, everything arrived really quickly, was really pleased with the service.

Stayed here for one night, they put a zedbed in our room for our daughter. Room nice a clean. Has an evening meal and breakfast here too can’t complain about anything.

A typical Wetherspoons with the usual good prices and good basic food. The breakfasts are definitely not to be missed...

This is a well run weatherspoons hotel the prices for beer and food is very cheap but the quality is excellent well worth a visit

Always go here to eat but this is the last time, they have taken the ribs off the menu.The new menu is mostly burgers and pizza. Our meal arrived dry overcooked with chips that had been obviously left to dry out or rewarmed. They no longer do the made coleslaw as a side.

Three adult meals and two rounds of drinks for under £30. All plates clean and no complaints. Good vegetarian options. Popular, busy venue delivering enjoyable meal. Hungry. Go for it!

As always good value and a nice place. Good range of beers at good prices and food is good too. It is also an hotel and good location in centre of Dereham.

What have we been missing all our long lives! Popped in for a coffee - at the ridiculous price of £1.35 for a large mug that can be refilled as often as you like!

As a local to this Weatherspoons pub decided to have a breakfast on 7th September. Its not just this Weatherspoons pub but in at least 2 in Norwich and 2 in London the baked beans always seem to be cold. I hate cold beans and no one even came to ask if the food was ok had they did then i was going to complain. The chef obviously don't know the correct temperature the food should be served at or need another food hygiene course.

We are big fans of Wetherspoons and this one was of the usual standard, food was good, excellent value and on hot plates which isn't always the case. The dining area could have been a bit cleaner, we had to look for a cleared table and it wasnt very busy, there was a couple of persistent flies that annoyed us( I expect because the doors were propped open on a hot afternoon and the 2 staff members we encountered were very morose, unfriendly and inefficient, staff training needed here !

Shipyard IPA.....please can barstaff be taught how to correctly pour a pint of Shipyard. When poured it should come out very cloudy (like Guinness) then settle to a lovely head. Well it isnt. They do not even have Shipyard glasses.

Came here for a few beers, he place was nearly empty. I wanted to order a burger , I was told I need a table number , which is ok , when the food came I started eating at the bar and was told I couldn’t so moved table closer to bar by about 6 inches, too which manager moved it back , so I then just sat on my chair , to which the manager call 2 doormen in to have a word ,

Food is fine price is everything here cheap and cheerful as you would expect from the chain the drink selection is good bouncers are a bit over zeleous on the weekend

Went this morning for breakfast before heading off for a day out. Had large breakfasts with black pudding extra. Could not fault any of it and saw us through until tea time. Great value. Definitely go again. Recommend

Really good lunch with plenty of coffee! Skinny chicken burger, chicken burgers and mixed grill all generous portions and well cooked. Excellent value. Great area to sit where it is peaceful. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for a late lunch. Decided on the daily menu which along with the Full menu was really inviting, great value and comprehensive. My meal was superb with quick service great atmosphere and a nice ale thrown in as a package. Will definitely return.

Don't normally leave negative reviews to anywhere I've eaten in my life. But on this occasion have to due to length time to get a resolution to complaint off meal I had. 3 weeks for any compensation after finding piece plastic in a meal management unhelpful at point off complaint left to other establishment to honour a compensation either thou no idea about incident. Never will go here again as customer service appaling

I believe to my knowledge , that I have never had a meal here without an issue , The latest was my breakfast missing its toast, and missing a hash brown how many more time can they get it wrong

Lunch on the way to holiday flat. We have been before but not written a review. It is a Weatherspoons, so one can rely on it. The value is exceptional. Two lunches, with drinks for under £14 ! There is some limited time parking in the street but its own car park had only one space. The only problem was neither hand driers worked. There was some paper towelling but no bin, so people were just piling it up on the sink. Interesting to read up the origin of the name of the hotel, after a story written by someone born in the town : George Burrows

Went here for my sisters birthday , there was 9 of us to it was a perfect place to eat that wouldn’t cost a fortune. We ordered via the app and food was very quick to come and tasted great especially the stone baked pizzas they do !

Have been a regular customer since it opened but it really has gone downhill. The staff were lovely but the food dreadful. I couldn't eat my steak as so tough I couldn't get a knife through it, it was all gristle. Soggy chips, and a slice of tomato which was also not edible and hard. Such a shame as used to be great, we wont be going back any time soon.

Dont expect fine dining, but cheap food and drink where your kids wont stand out as the noisy ones make for a relaxed dinner

Good value pub food, but poor, disinterested service and dirty cutlery and glasses - the dishwasher needs a service!

Went for lunch with family. Upon arriving staff seemed like they were run off their feet and service felt rushed. Asked for a kids menu and had to ask again as they couldn’t find any. Then told they had run out and we’re going to try and print some more - again had to ask yet another staff member for an update. No menus appeared to went on line ourselves to look for the menu. Ordering from the bar the staff were ok, said the right things but with very little care shown. Food arrived ok but no condiments supplied. Overall service was below average. Food ok, but nothing special. Carpets and upholstery looked pretty filthy too. Lots of banging as works being done next door so far from relaxing. Shame as had potential, but felt it was understaffed to provide a decent experience and staff looked frazzled.

Lovely atmosphere, family friendly, efficient. Food well cooked, hot and delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful can't do enough to help make the whole experience a wonder beautiful experience. Top marks from me on all counts

Visited the Romany Rye and was well impressed. Only had a coffee and my friend had tea.Plenty of small places for small groups. Typical weatherspons very busy would love to come back and stay in the hotel.

Going to spoons on a weekly visit since last year. Although I may have had a few beverages, I always get served with great politeness and humour by all staff, but, and I repeat BUT, there is one in particular, Victoria. She always has a smile on her face, and gives GREAT service. Always happy to help and never fails to say hello. 10/10

On arrival there was no receptionist so whilst I waited in the lobby my husband went in search for someone to book us in. After finding someone, they tried and eventually managed to find our booking on the computer, however it was clear that the lady did not have a clue what she was doing.

We have stayed at the Romany Rye twice now , both times we have had a fantastic time x Very helpful and friendly staff , lovely rooms very quiet and warm , The food was fantastic lots of choice and quick service. Can’t wait to visit again soon .

This place is so busy and at such a great price! Hot drinks are ever so cheap and on a refill system. Meals are ever so affordable so all in all it’s a great place!

Whenever we go to The Romany Rye it is always full of people. We only usually have lunch but looking what other people are eating the quality looks excellent. The chips are to die for always perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. We always get served at the same time so no waiting for the other guests to get theirs.

Stood and waited quite a while whilst 3 members of staff stood and chatted, it took a member of staff at the other end of the bar to call down and ask them to serve me! When the person who served me did, Rav, Raj or something similar, he was not good at customer service, he offered me the card machine, I paid he then walked off without saying a word, not a thank you that's paid or even any acknowledgement.... I had to call him back to ask for a receipt and see if that was it.... very surprised at such poor service.

This was our second visit to the Romany Rye and was comparable to our first. We ordered food and drink via the app and drinks appeared promptly followed by a very short wait for the food. This was delicious. Dessert was again ordered via the app and this was delivered with minimal delay. We were all very happy with the food and service. I would definitely recommend using the app as being a Saturday evening the bar area gets busy. Will definitely be going back again. Really struggle to beat a good Wetherspoons!

We (family of 5) ate here for the first time and between us had American pancakes, full breakfasts and a teriyaki. All hot was delicious, the breakfasts were delicious, I loved the bread and sausages.

Whilst the hotel is adjourned to a weatherspoons you would never know.. The hotel rooms look tired and could do with a lick of paint, but that is the only negative side. Rooms have tea and coffee. No parking though. I went to the restaurant for food, evening meal was average but the breakfast was delicious.

My local 'spoons' serving good down to earth and a varied selection of real ales,plus the usual old favourites.If this wasn't enough it's boasts a very friendly and efficient staff.

Myself and my wife popped in for an early Sunday morning breakfast and it was excellent value for money the breakfast was well cooked and we'll presented, and only took five minutes to arrive the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Eventually found table but had to clean it myself. The floor looked like it had a whole breakfast dropped on it. I had to be careful where I put my feet. Ordered using phone APP. Received two cardboard cups for our hot drinks then waited 45 mins for breakfast to be delivered which was cold when it arrived. Not good.

Its a Wetherspoons, so you know what you are getting. Its cheap and quick. Good for families and staff are friendly. Tables don't get cleared very quickly when they are busy and its not always easy to locate a table. They do have gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc menus, so good if you have a food intolerance, everything labelled clearly. CHristmas menu not great and wouldnt recommend personally!

We stayed here for the night to go on the Polar Express at Dereham Station. Great location and managed to get parking outside the hotel. There are also a number of free car parks around but most have a time limit during the day of 1 or 2 hours. We arrived around 4pm so it wasn't a problem overnight as no restrictions bit had to move the car for 9am to avoid a ticket. Hotel room was good value, clean and had everything we needed and a zed bed for one of my children.

It's Wetherspoons so you can't really go wrong. Good for prices of drinks and food. Good service. Plenty of room for families.

We eat in Romany Rye every Thursday night and food is always good. Staff are friendly and service is good. Great value but no compromise on quality of food

Came here on steak night , 7 pm they don’t have any. Swapped to burgers, they turned up stone cold, Never again,

We normally stay in the accommodation but was fully booked as normal we have eaten here a couple of times when we come to dereham this time we eat here on Saturday night it was busy we thought it would be a long time comming but we got the food really quick the food was good aswell and better th and before definitely keep on going there.

Met friends for late lunch. Very busy and difficult to find a table.

The mixed grill was lovely tonight, nicely laid out on plate and tasted the best I’ve ever had in spoons. The pizza went down well too. Impressed. The new gins are lush too unicorn and violet

A lovely little place to go to for breakfast and diner. All things affordable and okay quality. When busy you do expect waiting time, but at one point we did wait 40 minuets for a fry up which I felt a little mehh about.

A very good atmospher and excellent and helpful staff. Good meals and beer. A thoroghly ejoyable evening.

My wife and myself went here for an Evening Meal and we did enjoy it but it seemed somewhat rushed by the staff

Popped in a couple of times recently and I like the pub but the toilets were stinky each time and one of the cubicles didn't even have a lock on.

I was enjoying our meal when it was spoiled by staff moving chairs and tables around us, also sweeping up behind our chairs while we were still eating.

We stayed at the hotel and ate our breakfasts and evening meals here. Food was fine, pub very busy on occasions but managed to find a table and get served. Food same as every other spoons! Staff were generally friendly if rather busy in the evenings. You basically get what you pay for, not fancy but does what it says.
