I had such a good experience here! Quang was our waiter and he was so professional. He explained how the menu works perfectly and was always so friendly and informative. All I can say it’s wow. It was my birthday and Quang went over and above his roll for us. Massive thank you to Quang and a big thank you to Roka for everything they did for my birthday!!

.Middle-class atmosphere. The price is about 50-70 pounds. It is more expensive for young people. The food is unique but the taste is ordinary. You can try it.

Extremely disappointed. Went there for birthday lunch. Very overpriced but the level of service is shocking. Wine served warm 10 min after dishes, the dishes didn’t taste great and staff are not knowledgeable. Never again. Waste of time

Me and my family went here on a Sunday to celebrate my birthday 24/03/24 and was served by the friendly and welcoming Quang!💗 it was quite a busy atmosphere around 7, but despite this Quang made sure we was well taken care of and our drinks were most definitely bottomless🤪. I hope his excellent efforts are being recognised.

Over hyped and over priced. The quality of food just wasn’t matching the price, there are better Japanese restaurants for this price and cheaper. Don’t get me wrong the food was good but i wouldnt go again. Their website is also misleading. We booked the food with free flowing wine through their website, we selected the option and when selecting a time it allowed us to book a table for 5:30. We got there and found out that it ended at 3, despite giving us options to book. When we informed them, they said there was nothing they could do, and to be honest the manager was kind but originally unwilling to do anything to make up for the mistake. It was only when we complained further they offered us a drink for the misleading website and our plans having to change. There was a middle aged women with blonde curly ish hair who was lovely she took our order and was the only person who generally gave an interest in us and was kind. Every other staff we had a verbal interaction with was cold and moody. All in all we removed the service for this exact reason and the death stares we got from staff was really wonderful so we wont be coming back and won’t be advising anyone I know to go

I must say that I've never been a huge fan of Japanese cuisine. I mean, I enjoy a good sushi as much as the next person, but I would usually prefer a good steak (which this place also has, by the way). But we went there for their tasting menu, and it was indeed very special. One piece of advice I have for you: don't lean heavily into the sesame spinach. There's more food to come. Much more. It is actually quite rare that the two of us are not able to finish a set menu, but it was the case here. And there wasn't a single dish that I would call "mediocre". All were done exceptionally well. We left 250 GBP (that's with 1 cocktail and 1 plum wine each), and couldn't be happier.

I must admit, I've never been a big enthusiast of Japanese cuisine. Sure, I enjoy a good sushi like the next person, but given the choice, I usually opt for a well-prepared steak (which this place also offers, by the way). However, we decided to try their tasting menu, and it turned out to be quite remarkable. Here's a tip: don't fill up too much on the sesame spinach; there's plenty more delicious dishes to come. It's quite unusual for us not to finish a set menu, but that was the case here. And I must say, there wasn't a single dish that I would describe as "mediocre" – they were all executed exceptionally well. We ended up spending 250 GBP (including 1 cocktail and 1 plum wine each), and we left feeling thoroughly satisfied.

16-Nov-23 Roka: Unfortunately not the best visit I've had to this restaurant. It was impossible to get someone to take our drinks order for an inordinate amount of time once I arrived (my dining partner was a little ahead of me). Nobody looked across to our table for a good 15-20 mins, and we ended up getting up and walking over to a waiter to ask him to take our order. Service did improve once the food order was taken, and our tasting menu dishes arrived at appropriate pace. There were some stand out dishes in the offering but not as great as I've had in the past. Given the pricing here I would have hoped for a little better all round.

Roka è un ristorante molto carino e moderno. Abbiamo provato uno dei menù degustazione: tante buone portate (il dolce davvero superlativo!). Unica pecca: qualche portata era un po’ troppo speziata (a volte il sapore della pietanza veniva un po’ coperto dall’intensità delle spezie). Nel complesso, comunque, abbiamo mangiato bene e passato una piacevole serata.

I feel like I should drag this for being a finance bro hangout/chain restaurant likely to be found in a mall, but grudgingly I have to admit the food was awesome and the tasting menu is a good value (this place would cost double in nyc)

I was lunching on my own just before a meeting so it needed to be fast and good was seeted quickly the manager came well recommended two dishes & took my order quickly and she hurried it too .. service was good and friendly and food was great .. the only thing I did miss was free water .. it’s something that is done naturally in Europe and the states .. find it odd that in the uk it’s not so forthcoming !

Our waiter, Quang, looked after us so well. We opted for the set menu, which was very generous (wine included!). Everything was delicious. Can't go wrong.

Celebrated a friends birthday today, we opted for the brunch menu.. Quang our host for the afternoon was amazing. Super attentive and really friendly no glasses was left empty and the food came out in impeccable timing - however not feeling rushed at all… he really made our experience at Roka one to remember!

Came here for the first time and I was not disappointed! Roka has a warm and cosy atmosphere with great waiting staff. Quang took really good care of us from start to finish with his attentiveness and great food recommendations (rock shrimp tempura)! I will be back.

Great place, cozy environment in a very good location. Issues is finding the place. First, google map doesn't leave you to the right place and the entering point is on thw side hence qhy it's difficult to get in.

Been many times to @rokacanarywharf We went for the brunch menu £71 a head lots of things were included it was fabulous even the yellow tail was included You can keep ordering from the staters on the menu up until your mains arrive Lots of mains to choose from then you have all the desserts included too that come on a boat It was fabulous

No outside service for us - but others around us received! Maybe jeans and T-shirts weren't appropriate attire... The spot is great though, beautiful oitsode and looked great in. Would go back and have another go, perhaps I'll put a blazer on or sth

Lovely restaurant with Great food and atmosphere. Christina took really good care of us. all staff members were attentive and accommodated a last minute change to allow for our pram to be added as we couldn’t get the babysitter in for mother’s day. I was taken for a birthday treat ,we had the premium set menu which was amazing quality of the food was excellent and the quantity was so much . We had a wonderful server called Quang who was both very welcoming efficient with a lovely friendly personality

We went for a Brunch here & wowowow the best brunch I’ve been to yet! Our server was Quang and he made our experience so good, we never run out of wine & he was cheering us on to really enjoy our brunch and really looked after us, we was never looking around for someone to come serve us as Quang was always at our table first!! This is our second visit and for my birthday celebrations. New waiter Quang was truly superb. He applied first class service and he went above and beyond to ensure our visit was magically memorable. Nothing was too much trouble and he made us laugh A LOT. We will always remember this visit and we shall definitely be back. Ambience is perfect. Food is sublime tasty fresh and we wanted MORE! highly recommended. We booked for 6.30pm perfect time because the restaurant wasn't that busy. It got busier around 8pm when we left. Thank you Roka! The food was exquisite and so was the presentation of the dishes! Excellent service and very good atmosphere. The only thing we had a little doubt about was a cook in the middle who was shouting in the middle, but I think it was part of the experience.

Nice cute place to go to on a date , if you like sushi definitely the right place. Good seafood selection. We went for the premium set menu which had a selection of most things on the menu, very lovely. Had good choice of flavour and portions , by the time the desserts come we was stuffed lol. Presentation was cute and atmosphere was comforting.

Brunch was delicious and such good value for money. We had a great time however found our waitress Mars extremely rude. She was not happy we were late despite there being issues with the tube, she also kept mentioning when we needed to be out and our drinks were not topped up in a timely manner. Really really enjoyed the food but will not be going back to this location due to the unfriendliness.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was really great, when we arrived we were met with amazing service. Amith was our main server and he was really great. He recommended great dishes and ensured that we enjoyed our food. He also made the occasional extra special by paying attention to detail. I would highly recommend visiting this particular branch because the experience was outstanding.

The overall quality in this restaurant has been declining and most dishes are now covered with sweet, heavy sauces aiming to hide their lack of flavour. As for the sashimi, they were obviously not cut by a sashimi master. However, service and consideration to customers were by far the most outrageous part of the experience: we were told after 45 minutes, whereas we were still eating our starters, that the main courses should be brought in order for us to finish our meal on time. We were literally expedited, and 90 minutes and £250 later, gave the table back whereas it had been granted for two hours. This restaurant, while competing with Michelin star ones on prices, lies miles behind from culinary standards and customer service perspective and is thus no longer a venue to recommend.

My favorite Roka in London. Been there few times and the food is always on time, comes to the table in a good pace. Iza is a really attentive and kind waitress. Great experience overall.

Absolutely lovely place to dine, have drinks and celebrate a special occasion. My parents celebrated their wedding anniversary plus my dads birthday and the staff were so attentive and kind. We went for the lunch time menu and had a combo of the lunch , premium lunch and the premium tasting lunch and we all shared. That way we tasted everything. But if you want what you want then either order Alcarte or have the one lunch time menu you want. The food is delicious, light but filling. If you’re a single gal…there’s a number of bankers meeting or having lunch 😝 happy hour after 5/5:30 M ~ F. Loads of parking - we parked at the Waitrose car park - a short walking distance away!

Went there with a few friends however the bar manager mattia was quite rude to us group of girls. It seemed as though he had friends come into the bar area and was more interested in chatting with his friends and rather than providing a service. Not only this he made one of our friends give back a chair he had reserved for his friends, when there was an empty chair nearby that he as someone works in hospitality could’ve taken, rather than telling off my friend. We were also paying customers!! Instantly felt very judged.

Highly disappointed with the service. We came for drinks at the bar and were treated like scum. I had asked to put my coat in the cloakroom and was told only guests eating could use it, despite their being plenty of room. Furthermore, despite many tables available they did not allow us to sit at any of them as these were for guests ordering food only (there were many many tables available). To my disgust my friend actually had her chair taken away from her as apparently if you don’t order food you must stand the entire time. I had to stand with my £15 cocktails holding my coat. Not a great experience.

Sat there for 20 minutes had to ask the waiter to serve us. Food came out promptly but for what I paid for did not meet my expectations very standard.

Generally I thought the quality and option of food here was really good, but that’s about it - I felt the options just didn’t match the price tag. The service was great, super friendly staff every time I’ve been here and the atmosphere is also really nice with really nicely designed restaurant. My recommendation would be the lamb cutlets, they were genuinely great but still I didn’t think they were of super high quality. My partner also got a really upset stomach after having some of the seafood for the whole day. I also felt the drinks menu was really subpar, and the restaurant didn’t do a whole lot to live up to its price tag.

Thanks to my Aesop teams and manager who invited me to join their dinner, I got one of my best dining experiences that I have ever have! The staffs there are so amazing, and the service was exquisite! One of my colleague is vegan. And the staff there is super sweet and alway gave her extra choice for vegan options. All the foods are fantastic. I can not barely use my words to describe how good they are. Just go for it, and you will never regret.

We had the best dinner ever 😊, the food is amazing and the team fantastic, the manager Tamara is a super star, welcoming and professional. We were looked after also by Quong, that was helpful, lovely and patient. Great venue and atmosphere and good value for money. The presentation is also beautiful. Overall 10/10, I would highly recommend.

Una delle migliori cene della mia vita. Siccome pagava l’azienda non abbiamo badato a spese e abbiamo preso in 5 due menù degustazione seasonal e 3 menù degustazione premium. La qualità di ogni portata è stata eccellente ed essendo le porzioni piccole si arriva (quasi) tranquillamente al dolce. Oltre all’aspetto scenico di ogni piatto mi ha colpito il gusto incredibile di ogni piatto. Sashimi, roll, tempura, carne, pesce tutto davvero squisito. Il personale poi è stato attento, gentile e rapido dall’inizio alla fine. Consiglio vivamente se non siete voi a pagare!

Our third time enjoying lunch at Roka. This time in Canary Wharf branch. Amazing food as always, fresh sashimi, sesame salad is to die for, fried chicken is cooked to perfection, gyoza are nice and crispy but juicy inside. Rice mushroom hot pot consistency is a lot more watery than in Aldwich branch, but the taste is still good and generous truffles. Service is impeccable. Our server, Quang, is very attentive and happy to explain everything. He talked to our 9 y.p son at eye level and treated him equally like an adult. Impressive service.

Food was lovely. Dishes could have been hotter when it came out. Beware they automatically add money for charity to your bill. It is not itemised separately but listed amongst the food items, so easy to miss. Although they explain on the receipt that paying this is voluntary. For me this goes beyond my principle - I see it as manipulation. I have no issue with giving money to charity but You shouldn’t add charity to people’s food bill at the end of their meal in order to get them to pay when they’re high on food, intoxicated etc. Eating out is expensive, coupled with service charge and now donations! I kindly asked them to remove the donation from my bill which they did with no issue. I would’ve given 4*, but the food is expensive for what you get. I enjoyed my food!

The food and atmosphere is stunning, highly recommend for a date night or even getting together with friends! The staff are all lovely and very professional, definitely worth the money. Premium experience 👌🏾

Our first experience was at ROKA Charlotte street, the food was great but the restaurant & staff left a lot to be desired. ROKA canary wharf blew us away with how much better the atmosphere, speed and quality of service was. We always go for the premium tasting menu with the wagyu which somehow tasted even better at canary wharf. Have to say that this time the experience was incredible! It’s our new favourite, and we’ll definitely be back!

Ive been to Roka several times in Dubai and I can say this one in Canary Wharf has been extremely disappointing. The mushroom rice was flavourless and too watery. Less risotto, more soup. And no flavour. The spicy tuna roll was delicious. Service was good, they were slow but overwhelmed and made up for it. Quality is really lacking. Disappointing. Unlikely to come back.

The food was amazing, only disappointing thing was I booked it as a special occasion (my husbands birthday) and they asked me if I would like anything brought to him as a dessert to say happy birthday and I said yes over the phone 1 day before. On the day of our meal his birthday was not acknowledged at all, nothing was brought out to our table, so that was the only disappointing thing. Probably not a place to celebrate special occasions

Fantastic brunch on weekends. £79 with sushi, sashimi, starters, mains and dessert or £89 with unlimited wine and prosecco. Very good value for money, great selection of sushi /sashimi. Makes sense to go in a group to taste all the good main dishes. Thumbs up, will be back! Lunches and dinners here are fantastic too, all grilled fresh in their kitchen, definitly worth trying the back pork ribs!

Impromptu evening here last night, on our way to the cinema. Didn't book ahead, so we just asked for a table for two on the door. The staff asked for a telephone number to confirm the booking, which was obviously to send us marketing material afterwards, and the staff member looked miffed when we refused. The restaurant was beautiful, but I was disappointed to see disposable chopsticks. Getting a handful of splinters while destroying the planet at the same time wasn't a great experience. We ordered the premium set, at £105 a head, and the waiter was unable to explain why it was 5000 calories a person. Still wondering now... The food, strictly speaking, is not traditional Japanese, rather a fusion of many cuisines. Most of it was okay, albeit very flavour heavy, some of it covering the delicate ingredients. There was even an obvious bowl of Sriracha Mayo with the tempura! Sorry to say that the Japanese sushi/sashimi platters were pretty poor. The rice in the wagyu/caviar gunkan was not fresh, so it was tough, the prawns were rubbery, the rolls chewy, and the tuna tartare greasy, rather than fatty. Truly disappointing, given we came to eat in a Japanese restaurant. The dessert platter was the highlight of the evening, but the unusually high service change certainly was not. Not recommended, unfortunately. Sticks and Sushi across the road would certainly be better value and quality.

Good is excellent. Not a huge amount of options for our vegetarian guest but meat eaters loved it. It’s not cheap but a great night out. It can be loud in there so if looking for something chill maybe not. We’ve gone three times and will be back. The sweet potato tempura YUM !

Brunch food was hit and miss but loved how the starters were unlimited. Came for a birthday and despite telling a waiter when we entered and when booking, no special mention was given in the dessert so I had to ask for one afterwards which was a shame. Service was poor maybe because we weren’t drinking they weren’t that attentive. Regrettably I still paid the above average service charge. Xmas decorations were nice. Not sure if I’d come again to be honest.

Open kitchen is a bonus as you can literally see your food being made and brought to your table ( the wine was great too) ! Staff were all very attentive and welcoming . Our experience at ROKA was bittersweet. The food, as always, was fantastic, a testament to their culinary excellence. Unfortunately, our dining pleasure was marred by an unexpected rush from the staff. Despite having a reservation for 9:00 pm and a 20-minute buffer, we received a call at 9:01 pm, urging us to hasten our arrival due to last orders supposedly closing at 9:15 pm. This initial encounter set a disappointing tone for an otherwise enjoyable meal.

One of Canary Wharfs top 3 or 4 higher end restaurants specialising in Japanese / Asian fusion. Top notch service and cuisine as one would expect at this price point. Atmosphere is very business-ey on a weekday but hardly surprising given its location in Canary Wharf.

Great food as always....standout dish yellowtail sashimi with yuzu truffle. 1 just isn't enought! Also a great selection of Japanese whisky and great cocktails well made by the bar staff.

The food was very below par I used to go all the time when it first open and the food was amazing but we had to send the ribs back they was freezing cold they did replaces them and comped us a dish what was not very nice if it wasn’t my daughters birthday I would of asked for the manger it was that bad for £300 I could of had a better meal at my local take away for £40 never leave a review but it was that bad ..

My friend & I tried ROKA's lunch set menus, and enjoyed the variety of dishes, including sashimi, nori maki, prawn tempura, grilled salmon and black cod. The atmosphere is relaxing with beautiful light beaming through the wooden walls. Haven't tried the dessert or drinks yet, but will definitely come back again.

I usually come for lunch, visited for dinner three months ago, and decided not to return due to excessively loud music. However, since Mayfair was fully booked. Last week, I returned with two friends for an 8 pm dinner. The music was too loud regardless of where we sat, finally we found a quieter table near the front bar. Despite the challenging conversation due to the loud music, the food was slow. We ordered a variety of vegetables and broccoli was undercooked ended up with spending 3.5 hrs for the meal. I like the ladies serving at the front bar area; they were superb—efficient, fast, and sweet, making our evening relaxed and enjoyable. Much appreciated!
