Lovely location in the village of Rodmersham, peaceful and great service from the polite, friendly staff. I have visited before, and the cheese scones are delicious, but when it cost almost £6 for a small cup of tea and a scone I was most surprised. Tea is £1:90 a cup, not a mug or pot so the scone must of been £3:75 on it’s own. As tasty as it may be that’s a bit steep for me.

Our visit was fine - friendly service. But the soup was from a carton and expensive for that. Suggest easy to have homemade soup made and portions kept in fridge or even frozen.

I love to visit here with my family whenever I come and stay with my Grandma who lives in the village. There is a good amount of outdoor & indoor seating and the shop is nicely decorated. There is a good selection of homemade food, as well as the village shop essentials. I had a lovely iced caramel latte and was pleased to see that they served soya milk. We were staying in Old Post Cottage at the other end of the row to the shop and very much enjoyed visiting the cafe. Went for afternoon coffee with a friend on a Friday at 1.30pm. In the last week of November. The coffee room was full, but we did get a table outside, it was chilly, but we were sheltered and in the winter sun. The servers were beyond helpful. They brought us extra hot milk to add to our coffees for if they got cold quickly outside. So thoughtful. The atmosphere is lovely, welcoming and warm. The menu has something for everyone. Light clean and airy, yet cosy. Whilst not exactly in the middle of nowhere, Rodmersham Green is a little bit 'out there' and so The Rodmersham Village Coffee and Shop is a welcome oasis for walkers and cyclists.Susie and I don't walk or cycle there, we take the car and never have any trouble parking close by.The food is basic but of a high standard and always fresh. The coffee is excellent. Many moons ago, the bread used to make their sandwiches was baked locally but because they didn't order enough so they've had to switch to mass produced stuff. Don't get me wrong, it's good quality but not the same. The staff are very warm and friendly and provide good service. I can get a little busy from time to time which might mean waiting a little bit but it's worth while.A small but delicious variety of 'homemade' cake is always on offer to tempt the sweet toothed amongst us.You can also buy a newspaper, pretty quirky 'things', sweets, cold drinks and a few other odds and ends. The surroundings are rural and very pretty with the village green, pond and cute little Victorian primary school on the door step. There's a secluded patio at the back or seating 'out front' if the weather's kind. Not the cheapest venue in the world but well worth a visit.

Visited on Mother's Day morning after a long cycle ride. They were incredibly busy and when ordering they didn't have any large mugs for a coffee. So I had to settle for a small one. Before they had prepared my drink some large mugs were cleaned and ready to be used but they would let me change to a large drink. For no other reason than they may need the mugs???. They then didn't bring my food with everyone else's. After 10 minute wait had to ask. They had forgotten!Having said that, what we had was lovely and it is a lovely coffee shop hence my rating score. But maybe they need to rethink their staffing at peak times.

Lovely coffee shop with plenty of seating inside and outside, we stopped off on a nice sunny autumn morning and soaked up the sun whilst sipping a lovely latte, which was served in fab patterned cups and saucers. The coffee was very tasty, however I think the 50p for the syrup was a bit steep. The cakes all looked fab, however I again felt that they were expensive, the carmel slice was £2.25 (it was a small slice at that). That said the place was extremely clean (including the loo) the staff were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. There is space at the side of the cafe to park your bike, so as you can imagine there were plenty of cyclists taking a well earn rest before heading off down Stockers Hill!I will stop off here again.

Extremely clean and well oiled ship, service is always with a smile and very lovely bunch of ladies. Food can be a little pricey but is always presented looking worth the extra pennies. The coffee unfortunately tastes a little fake and a latte is clearly not up to scratch. Tastes very artificial but that aside a very lovely little place to visit.
