Rodizio Rico in Birmingham

Nice location, friendly staff but it’s very expensive for what you end up eating. At £40 a head you’d want them to be coming round with meat non stop but we found the sausages and chicken wings far more forthcoming than the steaks. Nice variety on the sides and salads, plenty to choose from. When we did get one bit of steak it was so tough we couldn’t chew it which was a shame. The sirloin was very good though. It was nice to try but we wouldn’t be back.

Bitterly disappointed. Booked in for 7pm Saturday night, arrived and were seated. By 7.20pm, I had to call the manager to look at what she was serving in her restaurant. We were literally given cubes of fat (I have wonderful photos which are now on my review page) and red meat that was raw - not undercooked - raw! Again photos are posted. The manager had to accept that cubes of fat and raw meat (which may contain harmful bacteria) is not acceptable, removed the bill from our table and we were out of there by 7.30pm. As I said, bitterly disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant! Phenomenal barbecue food and a brilliant buffet of sides! I would recommend not adding much from the buffet to your plate, as it’s very easy to fill up from all the meats! Service is always amazing and we’ve never had an issue getting a table. Can’t recommend enough if you love barbecue!

Had to wait around 15 mins for a table even though we had a booking. When we were eventually seated, nobody explained how things worked, nobody came over to order drinks, the green/ red indicators weren't given to us, I had to go and get them from a table where people had just left. Considering it's not particularly cheap, not the best service. The food however was very nice.

The restaurant is perfectly located by the canal with a lovely view. The food is served quickly and efficiently, our server Sherwin, was beyond helpful. He was so knowledgeable about the meal offerings and very skilled in at table carving! He was also very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us!! Really enjoy our visit but SO full now!!

Came for a special birthday for my partner. Firstly we were greeted with attitude by the hostess, as we had called ahead (24 hours) to let them know 2 had dropped out. We were then seated practically on the bar, right next to the door. This meant that every time a group of people came through the door to wait for their table, we couldnt hear anything other than them talking. Due to the positioning of the table in a main walkway, I spent the evening being bumped into by staff someting through with, drinks, bags of meat from the kitchen, people leaving and anyone else that passed by the table. The staff were nice but drinks were forgotten so we had to order again. Obviously as this was for his birthday I didnt want to make a fuss so we just went on and got the food from the buffet. The buffet selection was ok. Not very varied and some of the dishes were not cooked properly at all, for example the gnocci could have chipped your tooth it was so hard. The meat started off coming round, but after a couple of rounds we had to get the staff attention and even after we asked for some meat, the staff cleared everyones plates and just left one of the guests with a plate on their own waiting for the meat for about another 20 minutes. The staff did give my partner a free dessert for their birthday, but to be honest, it really didnt make up for the evening. I sent an email to the manager letting them know how dissapointed we were for his birthday and they were kind enough to offer us a meal to come back to apologise, but after I messaged accepting this they have since ghosted me. Ive emailed about 4 times asking how to arrange the return meal, and now im just being ignored! It explains alot if the manager cant sort out a complaint, no wonder the staff deliver this type of service, they clearly dont care about what they are doing. There is another restaurant close by that is very similar to this restaurant, except its actually well run. Save your time and money and book there instead of this place. We will not return!

The food was of average quality. I liked the chicken and lamb chops. It was hit and miss with the meat. I’d like a type of meat and want more but it wouldn’t be as good as when brought back to the table. Medium well steak was dry and tasteless. They had good sides though. Atmosphere could be better, more spaced out tables and chairs so the entire side of a table doesn’t have to get up when someone wants to get more sides or use the toilet. There are better rodizios in Birmingham if you don’t mind paying a bit more.

Service is very slow. Same and repeat cheap cut meat at all time. Siting 2 hours with not much meat offered. The quality of the meat is lot worse than expected. Chewy, heavily seasoned, cheap cut used. Side dishes below standard. I would rather order a Turkish kebab than eating in this restaurant. I don’t think that I would return soon. Fazenda restaurant next time for me.

The meat was on the chewy side, and the service was very slow. I will not be rushing back, I use to really enjoy this establishment. I believe over the years they have used lower quality meat gets worse every time I come

I wanted so badly to love the food but it was below expectations :( The experience itself is nice (all-you-can-eat-meat and buffet) and you'll never leave hungry, and the place is so lovely for celebrations The sirloin was AMAZING, but all the other meats going around were just not that great, the lamb chops were too "minty" for my taste, and the other steak cuts were just average at best The buffet options were limited and not everything tasted fresh Overal

I booked an early table hoping we would miss the bigger and noisier groups We even arrived slightly early. At 5:45 pm we were seated in a corner table surrounded by a group of 50 celebrating a lady's birthday. The group was very noisy and the people were constantly moving around When the waitress came to take the drinks order we asked to be moved but they said the other tables were booked, even though by the time we left they were still empty. The people coming around the meat often missed us in the corner because of how people were standing up. The meat we did get was very rare and stone cold. The salad bar had a good selection and there was a lovely selection of hot seafood dishes. Cocktail prices were extortionate. On the menu the price looked like £11.50, but we were charged £17.50 and we queried this. To see the 1 wasn't a 7, I had to use the zoom on my phone. We were only in the restaurant for 45 mins. It was torture.

Good food and plenty of choice.

Great restaurant in central Birmingham! It's on an "all-you-can-eat" basis so, you get good value for money, however, the food quality is definitely on par with the other top restaurants in the city centre. I was impressed with some of the sides and sauces available - the focaccia was delicious and you can try some authentic flavours. The meat selection is obviously great as well, with the beef always cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a really nice dinner or a very filling lunch, I recommend visiting.

We came here on Valentines Day, the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly and attentive. Anna Clara who served us was very friendly and gave us an amazing experience. The Manager Diego was great too. All the staff were very accomadating. The concept at Rodizio Ricco is very unique. We highly recommend and will definitely come here again. Maz

Great selection of grilled meats, fish, seafood. Extensive variety of salads, cheese, rice beans etc. Although the restaurant was full the service was impeccable. The Brazilian chef was extremely welcoming, going around the tables making sure everyone was happy with their food. There was a vast variety of desserts, I had the egg pudding which was perfect and also an expresso coffee. I've been to the restaurant several times, mostly for celebrations and will definitely go back again

Beautiful restaurant, great view of the canal. Fantastic system using the cards, red for no and green for go - so the server would come and carve different meats at the table. All the meat I had was juicy, tasty and of good quality. I had, rump steak, sirloin steak, ribs, gammon and pork loin. Dominiqua was a fantastic host, welcoming, friendly and always smiling. The young guy serving the meat was very polite, pleasant and great at carving the meat. The salad bar was absolutely wonderful, lots of fresh salads, and loads of other ingredients, also hot food. This was truly a fantastic experience, I will be coming back.

It’s not cheap to eat here but the food is really tasty and you can eat as much as you want. The place is also nicely designed and situated close to the water. Service was friendly.

Our server, Erica was so very cheerful, friendly and a font of knowledge, the guys cutting the meats were super friendly but when I asked for meats not so blue, I'm afraid I didn't get it, never mind. Would highly recommend for a special occasion but it can get rather loud. All in all, a great venue

Good was okay but some of the meat was chewy and dry lamb and some of the meat so the experience was okay just to chewy.

Great Brazilian rodizio which caters well for dietary requirements. We went with a group of 8 including one child and one vegetarian. It was great for everyone.

The self service buffet is now open again. All meat selections are regularly bought to your table. This place is foodie paradise. Due to covid restrictions the food is bought to the table. The staff are friendly and entertaining. The whole experience is a pleasure. 5+ stars from me
