Up,out and about on a dull and rainy July morning, our summers are magnificent aren't they, my twin brother and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre to visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, before hitting the pubs we dropped into Rococo Coffee House ,one of my favourite cafe's in our beautiful city. Housed in Rococo's House ,second oldest building along Lord Street and located on the first floor ,interior is superb, exposed brickwork, opulent decor and furnishings, a cool looking serving bar and lots of seating options spread throughout this cafe, its just a wonderful cafe to chill out in. We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of staff, we ordered a coffee each, these were served steaming hot, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. The coffee served in here was spot on, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve in this busy and popular cafe, its hardly surprising that this cafe is so popular with coffee's of this quality. We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Rococo Coffee House we had a fine time. Rococo Coffee House is easy to locate along Lord Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 9am till 7pm. Sunday, 9.30am till 6.30pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

We stopped off at Roccoco for a light lunch. We were not disappointed. My daughter and I had the MOST delicious minestrone soup and my husband had doorstep cheese on toast. Was dying for some eggs benedicts so went to this place.. Ordered some eggs royale which after sometime arrived at my table.. poached eggs were harder than if they would have been boiled, which was a shame and shouldn’t even left kitchen if it wasn’t proper done.. everybody knows what a poached egg should look like and it is a £10.95 dish, not a cheap one not to care enough. They’ve dropped it on my table and left without I am even able to look at what I’ve got. Obviously, since I wanted it so badly I went after a lovely waitress who prompt said she would ask kitchen to change the eggs to what it was supposed to be, poached.. knowing how kitchen works when busy, just decide to cancel it as probably next time perhaps eggs would be fine but bread would be soggy. I was refunded as expected and appreciate it! I guess just had higher expectations for such a typical dish!

Visited this place as I’ve heard quite good things about it but was disappointed. Had a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea and had one sausage on the sandwich. For £8 this can’t be justified one sausage on a sandwich? Too much sauce on it and the sausage quality was poor something you would get at a fairground. Tea was decent but won’t be visiting again.

Seeing as this place is currently closed due to the third national coronavirus lockdown, I thought that this would be a good time to leave a nice review, seeing as I have had many positive experiences here.I have visited Rococo's many times over the last year. The quality of food and the friendliness of the staff here are two of many reasons as to why I keep coming back here.Rococo's offers a really nice lunchtime menu. The freshly prepared sandwiches are really nice and are served with side salad. The portion sizes of the toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes is also really good. This place also does breakfast food, such as doorstop toast and eggs benedict, so this place is also suitable for breakfast as well as lunch. The actual price of the food is extremely reasonable, considering the quality. What sets this place apart from other places is how friendly the staff are. Whenever I order, the staff are always really hospitable and make every customer feel valued. The services is also fairly quick and efficient, even at busy times. At times, particularly between 12-1, there can be a 10-15 wait for food, however this is only because they often get inundated with orders and each order is prepared to the highest quality. The servers are very friendly and polite and work very hard, seeing as this place is nearly always spotless.Although this place looks small on the outside, there is plenty of seating on the inside. There are four rooms you can sit in, all of which are very aesthetically pleasing and all of which have a certain traditional charm about them. Due to the impact of COVID-19 and social distancing restrictions, the available seating has had to be reduced, however on no occasion have I ever turned up to find no available tables, in spite of this place getting very busy over the lunchtime period.Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I am aware that the hospitality trade have taken a hit during the pandemic and I imagine that independent cafés, such as Rococo's, have borne a greater brunt of the impact. As a result, I would recommend that if you're in the area, you pay this lovely place a visit in order to support a small, local business. The only thing which you may want to bear in mind is that there is no 'downstairs seating here'. In order to enter, there is a staircase which you must ascend. If you have mobility issues, this place is likely not ideal as a result. However, for everyone else, this is, in my opinion, a 'must-see' café!When this place reopens in a few weeks time, I will certainly be coming back time and time again with my friends and family for lunch!

Rococo coffee-house on Lord street is one of the best coffee-houses in Liverpool that is housed in the second oldest building on Lord street which dates from at least 1882 that offers a superb food and drinks range at very affordable prices.Rococo coffee-house is located up a flight of stairs and is spread through three grand rooms all connected by a Victorian hallway with plenty of good seating throughout the whole interior.I must admit I didn't know that this superb coffee-house existed until I was waiting to get some money out of Barcleys bank and we noticed this coffee-house.On entry we used our NHS track and trace app and they then told us to take a seat'we then went to the counter and ordered a few cups of flat white coffees which where well presented and well priced.Rococo coffee-house is without doubt one of the best coffee-houses in Liverpool that offer a fantastic food and drinks menu and is a must go destination for anyone who is looking for a nice experience in a fantastic environment and is well worth a visit.Easy to find from James street train station you turn left onto James street and walk onto Lord street a five minutes walk.(This is my first review of Rococo coffee-house).Opening Hours.

? Loved the quirkiness of all the smaller rooms that were fitted out with laid back sofas and tables. We sat in a large open plan room at the back of the property next to the window. We decided what we wanted quickly as was hungry. Poached eggs with smoked salmon on toast with a pot of tea for me and Eggs Benedict for my husband with a caramel latte. After about 5 mins our food arrived, much to my surprise on the speed. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. Poached eggs done just how they should be and everything was great quality. Very nice spot. Cute setting. Lots of space. I loved the coffee (ordered a flat white) however the yogurt and granola was awful. I was given a bowl of not particularly fresh granola and the tinny pot of yogurt... granola is a topping not the main part.

Three of us stopped here for lunch, all agreed that the various sandwiches were some of the best we remembered and there was lots of comfy seating. I can recommend the cream cheese and bacon bagel. It is upstairs so not so easy for small kids or buggies.

What a quirky find. It's hard to believe how big this place is when looking on from the outside. There is a relaxing atmosphere, comfy setting areas and stylish decor. Our drinks were lovely and cakes were really tasty. I'll definitely be going again when I'm next in Liverpool.

Perfect place for meeting with friends. Nobody is rushing you out to free up the table. Prices are reasonable and I highly recommend the tuna salad.

Went here for breakfast which was actually quite good. Had pancakes with fruit. They don’t do the thick fluffy pancakes, it’s the thinner ones. Decor quite quirky and there are quite a few rooms that you can sit in so it doesn’t feel crowded. My only complaint is that they refused to accept Scottish bank note. Last time I checked we were still part of the UK, so this was extremely annoying. No point in leaving a tip then as I guess you’d find that unacceptable too.

Built in 1888 this wonderful coffee house is a fantastic setting for having a bite to eat. My wife, friend and I shared two very tasty ploughmans between us which was ample. A nice cup of tea went down well. Service was attentive.

We ended up coming here as the place across the road turned us away, but this was by far the best choice. Fantastic range of food, drinks and cakes and catered for Gluten Free which was a real plus. No lift access so be mindful that there are a couple of flights of stairs to access the place. PS. milkshakes were so delicious!

Sprawls across a number of rooms on an upstairs floor of a very old building in the centre of the city. Squashy sofas; good coffee; wide variety of (expensive) cakes etc. Great place to stop off - a site not to be missed!

Lovely coffee house in the heart of Liverpool. Relaxing surroundings in a beautiful building. Will definitely return as didn’t realise how many other rooms there were until we were leaving. Good variety to choose from on the menu. Loved it.

Visited for a mid-morning bite to eat and a coffee. From the outside it looks very unassuming - just a door off the main street but once inside it is a marvellous place with, from what I could see, three large areas for you to sit (there could have been more as I think it is over more than one floor. We sat in the front room and it was lovely. Variety of seating options and had a great atmosphere - not overwhelmed with noise which is so often the case these days. Coffee was great and the cakes were really good with some unusual options to male a change. I could become a regular - loved it!

Service, staff , quality of coffee and food was excellent. I wish we had one of these cafes closer to our home in Yorkshire. The paninis were so tasty and great value. Loved the relax atmosphere and comfy sofas too . 10/10 from us

We visited as a group of 3 on a busy lunchtime, we were lucky to get a table as it was so busy. It had a great buzz and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional- very tasty and lovely sized portions. I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in Liverpool.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.

Nice cup of coffee thanks! Greeted by Holly who was chatty and took my order with advice when asked for (type of milk used, how many shots). Not a regular at Starbucks but would return. Holly wished me a happy holiday too! This after the the smoothest transit trough the airport ever. Lots to like today at Liverpool JL airport.

Lovely surroundings, comfy sofas, very tasty local gins, and a tasting plate of 3 small beers. Perfect, couldn't wish for better.
