Rocky's Pit Stop in The Vale of Glamorgan

I’ve lived In the area and for some reason never visited, genuinely feel a fool now, my daughter won a raffle prize for 2 breakfast so we decided to all go as a Sunday treat, the gentleman who owns the cafe is exactly than a true gent! Such a grip on the place and seems to want to connect with customers as he effortlessly strikes up conversations with everyone, Also all staff are very polite and approachable as for the breakfasts we ordered they came out in a timely manner and were enjoyed by everyone in our party from ages 3- 33. (My daughter especially liked the milkshake) Like I said we had won 2 breakfasts from the local school raffle were the cafe had kindly donated a few prizes but on this occasion we decided to save that for another time as we will certainly be back and would spend them another time. Unfortunately while we where there a lady felt very unwell most people would crumble but he sat with them offered help above and beyond what you’d expect from offering to drive them where they needed to be either home or hospital to then phoning the emergency services and talking it through.

What a brilliant breakfast can't fault it, table service,very pleasant staff and good coffee as well. Give it a try you won't be disappointed,will definitely be back.

Just had a home delivery and it was delicious!!! I even called the shop to ask for specifics on my order, they were more than happy to help.

Great food, served quickly and well cooked. Great way to start a Sunday morning. Staff friendly and happy. Felt very safe and had Covid-19 checks and NHS Track and Trace available.

Not very good customer service young boy was rude, told him the mistake with our children's breakfast and wasn't rectified for 7 pound you should at least have beans and tomatoes. The toilet was freezing, dirty with no toilet roll my partner had to hold our daughter over the toilet rather her sit on the seat will not be visiting this cafe again. Cost 30 pound was extremely over priced for the standard of the food not a runny egg in site

Great little place to have breakfast or lunch. The prices are good and the staff has always been friendly. Will be back

I have eaten at Perry’s numerous times and the food is always fantastic and the atmosphere and staff is always friendly, couldn’t recommend it high enough

Working near by, called in here (not the easiest to see when passing). Breakfast was really good. We both had a full English and the quality of the food was really very good. Staff were friendly and the cafe was lovely and clean, a breath of fresh air compared to some cafes in Cardiff. Top work guys! See you again soon. 👍🏽

Great choice of different size breakfasts that are cooked fresh and to order,good coffee and also choice of other things on the menu. Nice grub quickly served in clean premises with friendly staff.

the pit stop was good food when it was rocky but since it has been taken over the food is excellent and I would recommend every one trying it.

The breakfast here is great, it's the only thing I've ever had as I can't bring myself to eat anything else when I go. I'm sure the other food is good too, maybe next time!

And fab customer service. Always asks how you like your breakfast and it's delivered perfectly. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the area.

Visit quite often as it's less than 5 mins from my house and my parents love it when they come to stay, decent grub at good prices with friendly attentive staff - what more do you need ?!

The full English breakfast here was the best I've had in a long time. Large portions of food cooked just how I like it and only cost £5.50! I was visiting my friend for a few days in Cardiff and ended up coming back to Rocky's every morning. The staff were lovely and the place was spotless. I'll definitely be returning next time I visit. I would also highly recommend the strawberry milkshake! Delicious!

My husband and I tried the breakfast on recommendation of a family member, well what a hidden gem of an eating establishment. We were given a lovely warm welcoming, the tables were very clean and the food was cooked to order and came piping hot, good portions and I would say this is definitely the best vegetarian breakfast I have ever had the pleasure to taste, my plate was groaning and my husband who is not a vegetarian finished off my leftovers. The people running it are very friendly and before we had driven out of the car park were cleaning our table with anti bac, it's a lovely clean friendly place with, a good choice of food that is very well cooked and very well priced a little gem which we will definitely be making a regular pit stop. Fab give it a try and I bet you will thoroughly glad you did.

This little diner is at the bottom of my road so have been in a few times. Nice food, friendly staff, bright and clean environement, lovely little cafe.

This small café is great for a full English breakfast or something along that line. No frills, clean and good value for money. Situated next to the local garage, it is a proper petrol-heads type of place with vintage pictures on the wall. I think a large breakfast cost me £5.50. My tea came in a proper mug. Staff are efficient and friendly too. Only downside is that it's cash only so I had to pop out once I'd ordered - but there's two cashpoints within a minute's walk.

My wife and I visit quite often. Great staff and even better food. Highly recommended. Easily found behind the bank of flowers on the Cardiff Rd.

Nice place this!! Called in for the first time today. Ordered All Day breakfast which came with a free cup of tea/coffee. Friendly staff, short wait and food was hot and really tasty. You can be assure I'll be back!!

We went here as a family, prior to going for a walk around Dinas Powys to the Salmon Leaps and back. It was brilliant! We all enjoyed hearty cooked breakfasts (including one vegetarian) and hot drinks. The service was friendly and prompt, the place was spotless.

Good breakfast, good price, nothing swimming in grease (though I do miss the fried bread that used to come with the standard breakfast).

My wife and I had the great fortune to visit "Rocky's Pit Stop" cafe on a recent trip to Cardiff.

Nice place for a fry up. Very reasonable prices and a good breakfast served in a timely manner which arrived hot. Run by a friendly guy who fusses around making sure everyone's happy. Recommended

I had a short holiday in Cardiff and i checked trip advisor for some recommendations for best eating places. Rocky's pit stop was number 1 so my family and I headed there to sample their infamous breakfast. We weren't disappointed. It was very busy which added to a great atmosphere. The breakfast was the best I have ever tasted and put our hotel breakfast the next day to shame. Great value for money, hot tasty food and service with a smile. We will be back!

I heard so many things about this cafe i thought id check it out , and i must say i was very much impressed , i enjoyed everything about it , a lovely lady welcomed me as i entered , even the chef came and said goodmorning , the gentleman made my coffee exactly how i like it , and the food was lovely very good value for money didny leave feeling hungry at all ! Highly recommend this place for a chill out for breckfast ! Such a lovely welcoming place top marks !!! I will be back again

ok the real deal this is a typical greasy spoon cafe the breakfasts are cheap i dont think the guy would know a butchers sausage if it slapped him in the face i visited here as its a haunt for local business drivers truckers delivering locally etc and i was passing through the best comparison is little chef on the motorway

Went in with the family for a breakfast. Very reasonably priced, quality food and well cooked. The staff were really friendly and I would definitely go again. Try the milkshakes, I had a chocolate one and it was amazing!

Stopped into Rocky's after a long trip down from East Midlands to visit family. A warm welcome from all of the staff and an amazing (and reasonably priced) breakfast had by us both. Will definitely be going back again and tucking into a"Full Monty"

stopped in for a full english breakfast last week and was very happy. Portions were great value for money and the food was very good.

We stopped here for brunch on our way home from holiday. The food was well prepared, with generous and very tasty servings. The staff were friendly, cheerful and prompt in serving food. Great value for money and will be coming back next time we are in the area.

Upon entering Rocky's, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile and hello from a staff member who invited me to sit down. The prices on the menus are well worth it, with the All Day Breakfast being my personal favourite. I will definitely be telling my friends and family to visit Rocky's again and again. It is a true diamond of a place to eat in Dinas Powys!

Very much enjoyed our Sunday family breakfast which included a warm friendly welcome and a tasty full Welsh breakfast . Will definitely go again.

First time i've been back since reopening under new management and i must say it is 10x better than before. Good range of food for breakfast or lunch, with great prices. Looking forward to heading back this summer.

Fab staff who were very friendly combined with a tasty breakfast with different size options so something for everyone. I had a coffee which was included with the breakfast but the milkshakes looked amazing. Will definitely be a regular customer!

Few of the mum's from a local school met here for breakfast and we were all impressed. Great service, great food! We are already planning our next breakfast get together!

Fair play to Will and his team, they have done wonders with the Pitstop cafe! The food is fantastic, the place is looking great, but best of all the staff are incredible!
