Love Sushi, but this place took it to an all new level. The menu and food quality was to die for! Great atmosphere and great service, will definitely be back!

We ordered with glovo a rice with chicken and a healty rice with a mix of gyozas the two rices made no difference, they were the same with the same ingredients and the mix of gyozas had a filling full of garlic. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat… positive note: the delivery guy, really fast and professional

Best sushi I have ever had in my live. Went there for dinner with my hubby after making a reservation and I wasn't disappointed. The service and the food was impeccable the fish was so fresh. I will definitely be back.

Went there on my 40th Birthday for the best sushi of my life. Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing. I would visit them every week if I wasn’t living too far.

UPDATED THE BELOW: The below is how this used to be a year or so ago. Just went recently (June 2021) and it's changed so much. It's not bad now but it's just not the same as what it used to be. A real shame. ----------------------------------- I think this is the best sushi I've ever had. It's a tiny place which might put some people off but it's casual and welcoming so no need to worry about walking into a stiff atmosphere. The waiter is clearly passionate about the food and very friendly. Feel free to let him guide you as they don't just want to sell you as much as they can. He'll recommend based on your needs. My needs are just loads of salmon and kampachi sushi/sashimi and like I said - best I've ever had. Including various trips to SE Asia. Quite expensive but cheap for what you get. Can't recommend it more highly.

Incredible food and fantastic service. It's very small inside but we were the only ones there for their first weekend lunchtime service, which was fab! Amazing truffle and wagyu tataki, Otoro fatty tuna sashimi (incredible!), a few various sushi rolls, including the scallop and tempura prawn one, which I didn't want to share. We tried a bottle of their best selling sake too, which was delicious and refreshing. Not a cheap place, but 100% worth it and I will be back for a special occasion. The owner took fantastic care of us, and explained everything so well. Thank you!

We have been meaning to visit the rock star sushi bar for ages as a family of four and we finally got booked in, how lucky were we. The food is visually a work of art and tastes like no other sushi we’ve tried before as it is top class ingredients only that are used. We was guided on our choice by Igor the owner who is top of his game in Sushi making. We tried everything from Wagyu to miso black cod, and Nigiri. Saki was fab and complimented the food perfectly. A*** thanks again Igor for an unforgettable night

Perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend the taster menu. The owner took time to chat to us between courses during the dinner as well. The quality of the fish is excellent and the amount of food just right. The balance of flavours will have you leaving very happily at the end of the meal!

Yes Me and my best friend we went there for the first time after been recommended by friends. I’m a big sushi lover and I find hard to try new things in sushi. But then I’ve seen the taster menu as an option to book online and although the menu seemed quite big the price was very reasonable for what you get. So we decided to go for it. It was amazing, the Wagyu and the Toro have stolen the show. You could see the passion from the chef on the plate and the service from the waitress was spot on. We were recommended some sparkling sake to accompany our meal which completed the whole experience. The great choice of music and the decor made me feel warm and cosy. From the fist plate to the dessert we felt that everything was just about right, it was never too much but we left very satisfied. Definitely be back in a heartbeat.

Seriously good food, good service and fun atmosphere

After all the rave reviews, and a personal recommendation from a couple of friends, we were most excited about our visit. The evening started nicely, with some pleasant, tasty dishes. When our main plate arrived, it looked amazing - picture-perfect, actually. The majority of the dishes were very nice indeed, with some pretty powerful freshly-grated wasabi which we much appreciated. However, the tuna and salmon nigiri were very disappointing indeed. I recognise that all sushi has to be frozen, the trick is not over-freezing it in the first place and making sure it is properly thawed before serving to the customer. This the restaurant failed to do, with the result that not only was the fish actually too cold but it had zero taste and the texture was all wrong. They did deduct it from the bill without any fuss, but we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable at not initially being given the chance to properly examine the paperless bill. After some discussion, he did give me the machine and I was able to see what we were paying for. Extremely pricey for what it was. The waitress was great, as was the ambiance. We were expecting much more from this place. Unfortunately our whole experienced was ruined by some sub-standard sushi, even though aspects of the meal were lovely. As new locals hoping to add a new haunt to our list of restaurants, we left very disappointed by our experience and will not be back.

I visited this restaurant with my sister as she hadn’t told me that it was amazing. On previous occasions when she had visited, the restaurant had been so quiet that the staff had trafficked stoped customers to visit, so we did not think there would be a problem walking in without a reservation.

Elite food, intimate setting and enthusiastic/knowledgable staff.

Everything were delicious and served beautifully. The waiter was very helpful and patient in explaining all dishes on the menu. This is truly a little gem and I can say this is the best sushi I've every tasted.

We went to this small cozy restaurant for a couple dinner. The menù was quite limited. The quality of sushi was good but not excellent, in general below our initial expectations and the average-quality for its price-band.

Tiny quirky place. Delicious food, inventive menu. Very friendly service with lots of explanation of the menu. Pricey but feels like you are paying for quality.

El sushi estaba tan fresco como siempre, lo más destacado eran los platos de sushi de langostinos tempura y el sashimi. El servicio es excelente: el propietario y el camarero principal son tan apasionados por lo que hacen que casi se siente como si fueran sus huéspedes privados. Buena música también. Muy recomendable pero imprescindible reservar online.

Fantastic service, amazing food such a brilliant evening! My husband and I came for dinner. We had such a wonderful time. All of the food we ate including the smoked salmon, eel, gyoza and kamapatchi were out of this world. We loved the dry sparkling sake that went so well with all of the food. The waiter we had was so helpful, friendly and attentive he made our evening special.

Don't be put off by the area or the front of this restaurant. Believe the reviews you see here,as this is truly a little gem.Every single thing we had on the menu were chosen on recommendation by the lovely waiter Camillo who were also very knowledgable and everything were delicious and presented in a Michelin start way.Cant wait to go back to try some of the other things on the menu. I can truly say this is the best sushi I've every tasted.

Absolutely sensational sushi! So beautifully presented, elegant, sophisticated & amazingly delicious. You first feast with your eyes & then every little morsel is scrumptious! The owner is a fabulous host who gives you a wonderful inside into the history of sushi & his personal journey to being one of few who is certified by the Japanese Govt for his sushi preparation. Highly recommended!

It’s always great to go to a restaurant with wonderful fresh food, amazing flavours, and great service. But when the staff are so knowledgeable and obviously passionate about the food and drink it really adds that magical touch to the dining experience.

One of the amazing sushi bars all over the world. Love it, fantastic and friendly staff. Very small but elegant Sushi Bar! The quality is number one. The restrooms are located in a separate building but it was fine with me. I highly recommend this sushi bar to everybody.

Been here twice now - once for a work event and once with family. The sushi is incredible and really unusual. It's a bit on the pricey side but you're paying for quality and the amazing knowledge these folk have!

Nous sommes allé dans ce restaurant un peu par hasard et avons eu la chance d'y manger grace à une annulation (normalement on ne peut y manger qu'en réservant). Des california rolls exceptionnellement beaux et bons!! Des mochis glacés à tomber!! Un peu excentré par rapport au centre de Londres mais ça vaut le détour!!!!

I see people constantly talking about Sosharu which I rate highly and Sushi Samba, Nobu, Zuma, Sexy Fish, Chotto Matte, Sticks and Sushi, Roka, but there is one small place that makes them seem amateur in comparison, That place is @ROCK STAR SUSHI BAR Obviously because it's in SW London people completely overlook it. It's food is so fresh you would think it had just come out of the sea. Beautiful presentation and attention to detail. People travel over the river to watch the tennis but they should really try this place. I am not biased because it is my local but after eating sushi in 30 countries including Japan, I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is made with passion rather than greed. I think the food speaks for itself !!!!

I’ve never been to any japanese restaurants in England before, but the fortune was by my side yesterday and I went to London’s coolest, busiest place where they serve really exciting foods. Not to say the owner, Igor Salgado is an acknowledged master of the japanese gastronomy, so his sushi bar is absolutlely outstanding! So is the waiter, Camilo, who is the best I've ever met. If you ever come to London you must visit this place!

This is a fantastic place with great food and friendly service. You can learn a lot about the food you eat here as well as try some rare dishes. The food is quite expensive but the quality makes up for it. They do except cards as well. The restaurant is also near a craft market and some shops.

Finally managed to get a booking to go to rockstar sushi bar, and at least it was worth the wait.

Lovely outdoor area to sit. Nice and fresh sashimi and tasty rolls, especially the kampachi, it melts in your mouth. Worth the visit.

Traditional pieces, and fun creative rolls as well. The sweet potato truffle roll was crazy. Nice little place, it's not trying too hard to impress and that's why it does! The staff is super friendly too.

Beautiful sushi. I tried various dished on the day but found the specialist rolls a little mediocre. Just personal preference maybe just didn't get the specials. Wasabi was brilliant although never enough!

Situado en la abadía de un mercado alternativo Mill. Lista de espera alrededor de 2 semanas, pero por suerte conseguimos mesa de cancelación fuera. Zona fría con un salón de tatuajes y música rock. Teníamos wagu carne, bacalao negro y kampachi sashimi. Delicioso. Tuvimos una buena conversación con el propietario y conocedor de camarero (lo siento, no pedimos el nombre). Así para el servicio de 5 estrellas.

Este es, de lejos, el más pequeño restaurante que he estado, pero es lo que lo hace tan perfecto! Me chocaban con mi cena hermanas con su compañero y me alegro de haberlo hecho. Yo estaba bastante dudosa cuando primero apareció como no está en el más glamuroso de lugares. El restaurante sólo tiene 5 mesas y los inodoros están en un espacio externo compartido, pero no tome distancia de lo bueno y la comida es genial, el servicio es cómo. Realmente saben sus cosas (y se aseguran de que usted sabe! ). Sin duda lo recomiendo.

The restaurant is really small, only seats 12 people so you have to book in advance. We were met with a smile and seated immediately. There was a good choice of Japanese lagers and wine by the glass, good value too. The menu was very well explained with no condescension, in fact the service was really great throughout our meal.

Basically this place is so good I don't want to tell you about it in case it gets too busy. If you like Japanese food, polite service, authentic ingredients, and the Izakaya culture, then this is the only place to visit in London.

This has to be one of the smallest restaurants I've ever visited, with just one sushi chef and one waiter, and just twelve seats. It's an amazing place though: very intimate and extremely good food. It's worth noting that this place doesn't take walk-ins; you need to make a booking, and it's not going to be suitable for large groups. We were initially unsure of the place because we received a call to ask if we could reschedule; the restaurant didn't have many bookings for our chosen evening and I think they wanted to move us to another evening, but thankfully they agreed to keep our booking because we were only in town for one evening. The level of service is amazing because our waiter was able to take us through the entire menu, explaining what each thing is and whether it's an appropriate choice. There's a nice selection of Asian beers and some soft drinks as well. Food is beautifully presented and it tasted amazing. I've eaten a lot of sushi but I'd be hard pressed to find better than this. Fish is some of the usual things like salmon and tuna, but also some unusual fish, including special items that won't be found anywhere else. The combinations on offer are really innovative, like smoked salmon, cheese, and passion fruit. There's a huge range for such a small place, as well. Considering that usually, to get sushi of this quality, presented in such a nice setting, would set you back a fair amount, this restaurant has really well priced food. We left the place quite full of delicious seafood and it didn't empty our wallets at all. In particular, the wasabi is made fresh from the root, and not from a powder or paste common at other places. Our waiter was good enough to point out which items on the menu could be changed to accommodate food allergies, and even some special soy sauce is available. This place is a real one-of-a-kind gem and we left absolutely delighted that we had taken the chance on it. I will definitely look to return if I'm ever in the area again.

When you have been to this place as many times as I have the best thing to do is just say make me something. They never fail to make the freshest, pretty designed, asthetic food. I can never ever say a bad word about this place as I have never found anything in the UK to compare. You just have to love the real wasabi root and the Kampachi, the cuts, the presentation and the flavours. I don't eat a lot of food what what I do is made with love and care.

Quaint. It's tiny, a bit out of the way, but comfortable, and the food looks as good as it tastes. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The fish tastes absolutely wonderful.

This place is a little gem, and when I say little, I really mean it. It has just six tables in total, it's a really cozy restaurant, but it's done on purpose because there's only one cook preparing all dishes. The place, as you can guess by the name, is rock'n'roll themed, with some really cool and traditional rock songs played in the background. The volume is kept quite low, so it doesn't disturb and it's enjoyable. The two guys taking the orders are really friendly and welcoming, nonetheless very prepared in terms of sushi, and they will guide through the menu before ordering. The food is absolutely outstanding, one of the best sushi I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients is superb, and they have some peculiarities, like the real Wasabi grated from the original plant, or the Kampachi. My top pick is the smoked salmon sushi, with the salmon being smoked directly by them. It's a little pricey, but it's definitely worth it. This is a top quality restaurant and would highly recommend it.
