201 Asian Kitchen in Merton

Estuve aquí una vez antes y comimos deliciosa sopa de salmón. Esta noche pensé que estaba en un ganador, ¿qué tan equivocado podría estar. Comí pollo marmita para comenzar solo dos trozos pequeños de brócoli con solo no lo suficientemente bueno, pedí un poco de verdura para completar. Luego el desastre con un cuarto de pato como se muestra a continuación desmenuzó todo, incluido el hueso, así que se secó un poco de hueso con el que lidiar, no es agradable y pensé que este continuaría siendo un gran lugar para cenar basado en la experiencia de la sopa de salmón de la última vez.

Comida increíble - realmente disfrutado, la suma mínima era particularmente bueno y muy fresco. Sabroso gyoza y sushi estaba delicioso. Tuve esta increíble sopa de laksa, que realmente golpeó el lugar (tenía ganas de especias y fideos) y estaba todo bañado con un poco de cerveza Asahi helada. Recomiendo encarecidamente si estás en el barrio! Servicio muy amable también 😊

No volverá. La comida es genial, pero la camarera / propietario era increíblemente grosero y poco servicial. Reservé una mesa para el cumpleaños de mi hijo y llevé a mis padres ancianos. No pude quedarme tan solicitada para una comida para llevar. Ella estaba increíblemente impaciente por esto y se fue y no tomó mi orden. Mis padres tienen problemas de salud y ella fue muy grosera acerca de que no quieren sal en la comida. Es una pena como comida genial, pero debido a su rudeza no volverá!

Lovely restaurant. I came with my partner and the atmosphere was perfect. I had the fish soup and the quality and quantity were great. I will 100% repeat!

The restaurant is small and cosy. We were sat down and given water and prawn crackers. The menu is not as large as I would have expected and a little confusing. I got the salmon chilled bites which was delicious but my partner got the chicken skewers which was lush. Of course I had to have some of his for research purposes 😋😋 Then came a little confusion with the main course. I ordered the fried rice and duck, partner ordered teriyaki salmon and king prawn rice. When the food was brought over we both had steamed rice. We queried it and were told that the duck and rice came with the steamed rice as standard. They were very apologetic and the lady made the fried rice for us and put duck with mine. She brought the king prawn fried rice for my partner but said she couldn’t include salmon with it. Again very apologetic about the misunderstanding but gave us a couple of free drinks as a gesture. I gave my partner some of my duck so he was ok. The food was very tasty, good portion sizes, service was friendly and good. I will be returning!

Great food and fantastic service! We got sushi and main dishes, both were very tasty and would definitely come again.

This restaurant ordered a new pizza fridge from us (£1300) and due to slight damage, the payment was refunded but the owner refuses to return or allow us to collect the goods and instead uses it. Just know that they have no ethics or morals and use suppliers to their advantage and gain without remorse. Now starting court proceedings to recover goods and costs.

An excellent little gem in South Wimbledon. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The service and atmosphere really helpful and relaxing.

We booked with the discount from the Fork festival. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty poor when we started looking for gluten-free items. It’s fair to say the large menu states almost everything has gluten in it so the only thing my husband could eat was sashime. They were dismissive and rigid. We asked if they could cook something fresh that wasn’t marinated in flour. They declined. So we opted to buy takeaway for the rest of the family and pick something else up for him. At the end the bill came and we mentioned that we had booked for the discount and they were so rigid, it was unpleasant. They said it was dine in only. We weren’t expecting a full discount but anything would’ve shown some degree of customer service and fact we bought takeaway when we should have just left. Anyway, live and learn.We were 1 of only 3 tables not exactly busy - real shame.

After eating there three times, I can attest that the place is consistently good - so far all hits, no misses. Highly recommended

I have been in eating in the various restaurants that have been established here over the last 30yrs and this is by far the best. I can honestly say this is the best Asian food i have ever eaten and the service was excellent. The only downside was the selection of beers and wines, the Merlot priced at £24 a bottle with a supermarket price of around £6 wasn't nice and either a BYO option or a better wine for the price would really put the icing on the cake. Well done, i will certainly be back.

Our first try of this of this 2 Yr old restaurant and it won't be the last. The service was great with water and prawn crackers straight away. Good variety on the menu. We went for the hot dishes over sushi this time along with a delicious Italian Red. Every dish a winner - good quality, fresh, good sauces, good portions. We had the duck spring rolls and salt & pepper ribs, then for mains black bean dish and marinated beef (korean). The staff were lovely and the atmosphere relaxed. Plenty take away being ordered which is how they were gaining awareness during lockdowns. Definitely will be back

Fast becoming a favourite for us. Great diverse menu, the chicken katsu curry is superb. Great service and a great vibe. It is not your typical Japanese restaurant .

Ordered a delivery as I fancied Asian food and coming out of lockdown didn’t know where to look. This place has a good variety of Asian food across the board from Chinese, Japanese and Korean. So I ordered some uramaki, dim sum and bulgogi. The food was delivered quickly and was tasty with fair size portions unlike the previous occupant called Kung Fu that sent portions out that children would have complained about. I felt so happy about this food that I stopped by the next day to commend them on their food. If you look at my previous reviews you will see that I am very critical about my food so well done Asian kitchen will definitely be reordering 🤘👏👍

Amazing every time! We’ve ordered from 201 Asian Kitchen several times now and we cannot fault it. The service is so friendly, food always arrives hot, quickly and is obviously freshly made. The katsu curries are delicious and huge portions, with a whole big pot of katsu curry sauce each. The sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had and every other starter/side we’ve tried has been equally as good. Cannot wait for lockdown to be over so we can visit this place in person, since if the deliveries are this amazing the in-house food must be incredible!

Wonderfully rich and vibrantly flavoured food. On a cold October night the Singapore seafood laksa and spicy beef ramen soup were warming and delicious, with lively but subtle seasoning. Perfect service too.

We just ordered 2 takeaway seafood laksa and it was so tasty and full of flavour ! Nice selection of seafood and ingredients and such flavoursome broth. Would highly recommend, the other dishes on their menu look interesting too - will be a difficult decision next time whether we stick with this delicious dish or try something new!

Just a had a really tasty dinner and the place is very friendly. Portions are a good size, the sushi tastes delicious and seems very fresh.

Lovely little restaurant , with very friendly staff. I had the most delicious Szechuan beef , it had so much flavour , I didn’t want it to end! Would definitely highly recommend this place!

The best laksa in London, coming from someone who makes a point of trying them all! Love this family-run place - we always get fast, friendly service, and some of the best tasting food the area. Definitely bringing everyone we know!

Arguable the best lasa I have had in London. Small restaurants 100 yards away from South Wimbledon Station. Very fresh ingredients and big portions. Lunch dish from £4.90 only. Very friendly service run by a Malaysian guy.

Nice food and good ambient. Lots of asian dishes in menu including modern fusion dish like lemongrass ginger salad. Most important is they don't put MSG in cooking.
