Sunday lunch was not very good. Waiter ate food and drank at the bar constantly. Emptied bins and didn't wash his hands. Chef sat at the bar in between orders. Food arrived and was tasteless, meat tough and when asked for cranberry sauce the waiter arrived with a plastic tub to serve it!

We stayed here for our anniversary and I couldn’t have asked for more ( well maybe some sun but I can’t blame the pub for that!) the room was absolutely lovely, as was the breakfast and bar! Will definitely be staying here again!

St Austell Brewery, this is not one of your best examples. Service is hit and miss, at points, really not good. The front of house staff seemed more worried about getting their own dinner over the diners. Chefs up and down to the bar consistently. Food is average at best. Be careful what you order as they may just change some of the elements of the dish and hope you don't notice!

Last minute decision to visit Lyme Regis while staying in Exeter for the Build it Live exhibition. Weather was wet and miserable but we decided to go to Rock Point for dinner. Only had one table left which was a tall one with high chairs. Im not a fan of this arrangement as there is not much room on the table and my chair was on un uneven ground so it wobbled. Saying that when the food arrived _ although that took some time - the Fish and chips were lovely. Crispy and tasty so I would recommend the food as a decent pub meal. If the weather was nice there are tables with sea views and a terrace. Nice well stocked bar and it seems dogs are welcome.

First of all I would like to say the new look of the pub is lovely, however we were shocked at the drinks prices we were charged as of 22/09/24 one double gordons gin and slimline tonic and one double smirnoff vodka and slimline tonic a total of £26.70.I feel this is totally over the top and you really are not doing yourselves any favours in keeping people from travelling abroad. For short break holidays we all know the uk has seen a big decline this year in tourism and charging these sort of prices you really are not helping the situation when I politely queried the price the reply was "You are in a tourist seaside town" I was taken back at this remark in future we will have to avoid St Austell Brewery venues felt totally ripped off !!!!!

We visited the Rock Point Inn for a Sunday roast and could not have been more impressed! We were shown to a table facing the window overlooking the beautiful Lyme Bay. We both opted for the beef roast which was cooked to perfection and ordered a side of pigs in blankets which were crispy and delicious - the icing on the cake 👌🏻 the service was friendly and attentive throughout - Nathan in particular was brilliant. We will be back and would 100 percent recommend!

Arrived late on Sunday evening but staff were accommodating and we managed to eat. So glad we did as food was great. It was a chilly evening but we still chose to eat outside as the sea view was great. We were also really blown away that staff lit fires and gave customers really snugly blankets. Made to feel so welcome, made our night! Look forward to eating there again on our next visit to Dorset and have already recommended it to several friends.

We went for Sunday lunch after reading they did good veggie options, unfortunately they had run out by the time the very slow service got to us. This was the start of the summer season and the staff appeared stressed and the service was a little chaotic. We waited a very long time between courses (nearly an hour). However the manager realised things had not gone well without us saying anything, came over to apologise and took our drinks off the bill. This is a nice pub in a beautiful seafront spot. Very dog friendly and an interesting vegetarian menu ( just book an early sitting). Give it a try - All the bones of a good experience were there I just think they were having a bad day.

Book! Very very busy. Lovely view of sea from our table and very friendly staff. Food was good - if you order steak frittes get it pink as the options were rare or well done. No in between! In reality we should have got it “pink” as a very thin cut and well done is more medium to well. It was decent pub grub at a good price with great staff so can’t complain

Booked here for a big family meal. Haven't been for a long time as we came for meal shortly after the refurbishment and found the meal to be average, unfortunately over time it appears it hasn't changed. My starter of peppers was slightly under cooked and the £18.99 fish and chips was easily the smallest fish I've ever been served in a pub/restaurant and at that price it is probably the most expensive. The fish and chips were nice enough though. The same goes for other meals we ordered, nothing poor but nothing great either. It's a shame as it's a great location and could be so much better. Worth noting that the staff were all friendly and helpful.

They make delicious salads, homemade crustless quiche, large saucer style macaroons, homemade sausage rolls and vege rolls. It's the only place in Dorchester that i feel the food is good for you, cooked on the spot there that day, great coffee and choice of tea's etc. Seating is limited and very sadly due to it's size of premises maybe closed due to Covid, please double check. Oh dear, we must have hit a bad day. We had chosen Brassica for a family get together lunch as we had read so many rave reviews. Three of us chose the pasta based autumn special, while the fourth wanted only a salad. The paste was very undercooked, and I do know the difference between al dente and being hardly able to get a fork into it and the whole dish tasting of raw flour. We pointed out the problem and the plates were returned to the kitchen. When they came back to the table the food was hotter but the pasta remained unchanged. One of the group was so hungry she ate it anyway, but the other two found it inedible. The salad was quite nice, but at £12 for a small bowl of dressed leaves with slices of orange and a few walnuts I thought it overpriced. The staff were very good and some money was taken off the bill for the uneaten food, but that was hardly the point, we had gone expecting a lovely lunch on one of the rare times we could all be together and instead left still hungry and deeply disappointed
