Good for a standard English breakfast - sausages, bacon, egg, beans or black pudding, mushrooms and tomato. Good quality meat from the butcher's next door. Standard sliced white bread for the toast. You can either have a small or large breakfast - small was plenty for us. Choice of either builder's tea or standard coffee. Good prices. Friendly cooks. Went on a day when it was just over freezing outside and we kept our coats on inside as the cafe was really cold too!

Asked at strawberry field caravan park as we were staying there( buy the way it's also a great find )where best butcher was and was told Robinsons wingate.Went in shop and have to say was disappointed with display however was served by a super gentleman who said anything I required he would be able to supply me.I bought some stuff for a barbecue which was superb and not too costly.Suffice to say I'll be going back Moro to place order for freezer to take back home.Dont expect loads of chicken beef and pork in fancy sauces that looks pretty under lights what you get is good quality products served by good old fashioned butchers with a smile and willing to help. Superb thanks Dave Galloway

Sparsely furnished, but the meals are something else. Meat is used from the high quality butcher's next door, and is prepared by the staff, also to a very high standard. Portion sizes are brilliant and prices are not too expensive. A firm family favourite in the village of Wingate and surrounding area's.

If you're in the area, pay a visit! This is a great family run business with butchers and café. Everything is great and good prices. I'd definitely recommend honey roast ham and chips on a Friday!

Visited for the second time, both times found the staff absolutely lovely but the food, although plentiful, a bit tasteless and presentation slapdash for the price.

This cafe and the attached butchers is a pillar of the community. Obviously the cafe is supplied by the butcher next door, which is reflected in the quality of the food served by the cafe. The staff are friendly and attentive. Their services are constantly used by local public services and private firms alike, which is more than a good testament for any business. Also if you're looking for a quality butcher and a family business, Robinson's butchers which is joined and very, very good. I cannot praise both highly enough!Keep up the guys!

The food is always consistent in its quality portions are good and most of the staff are friendly with the exception of Margret she is really special with her own particular dry humour all in all a lovely place to eat.

We recently visited robinsons and devoured a meat and leek pasty , beautiful , not sure what meat it is but its god damn delicious , the only thing that lets me down from there is the savaloys for they resemble a red rocket. Anyway i will give it a perfect score 5/7

I've visited Robinsons cafe many times and have never had a poor meal. Whether you choose a cooked meal, sandwich or a salad you can be guaranteed to have quality and a good sized portion at a reasonable price. The staff are all helpful and efficient. Get yourself along and try the breakfast and a good strong mug of tea; they'll set you up for the day.

3 sausages (made in their attached butchers), 2 rashers of bacon, beans, black pudding, fried egg, mushrooms, tomato, toast and a pot of tea for under £6. Excellent quality tuck. All well cooked and the black pudding was delicious.

Popped in after dropping my dog off at the groomers next door. I had the breakfast and my daughter had the curry. They were both delicious and very filling. Friendly staff and an overall brilliant place to visit. Amazing views.

50s Tea room was stepping a bit back in time. The staff had great customer service, attentive & smiles. The dress & ration books used for the menus has a nice personal touch, with the decor. I had todays special of feta and red pepper quiche with sweet potato fries & hubby had smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwich with chunky chips. 2 diet cokes came to £27.30 A reasonable price. In Market square, Bishop Auckland.
