Wow, the choices they had were delicious. Staff are very keyed up on allergens, I really enjoyed my ice cream treat.

After wandering round York with some work colleagues we decided to find somewhere to sit and get some ice cream and found this place.

Delrio's Restaurant

22/06/2019: We wanted a light supper and Delrio's were recommended.
03/06/2019: We enjoyed a first class meal with our adult children on a Friday evening. It was a good call to book a table as it was very busy. Despite this the staff looked after us efficiently in a friendly manner. It is family run with an excellent ambience. The menu is comprehensive and the food was great. Highly recommended.

Little Italy

21/06/2019: I’d arranged to have dinner here with friends, having previously eaten here and been very impressed.
10/09/2019: Service from the moment we entered was extremely friendly and attentive, our only issue through the evening was that the food took quite a while to come out as everything is made fresh to order, taking 2 hours for 2 courses. It’s fair to say though that it was probably worth the wait for how good the food was. For mains I had the gnoccheti with spicy sausage and also tried the lamb with greens and gravy that was particularly good. For dessert, the tartufa nero (a chocolate and vanilla ice cream bomb) was good and not too rich either. The chocolate balls that came with the bill at the end were a pleasant surprise and much better in my view than boiled sweets or mints you might get elsewhere. At £30 a head for two courses and a drink each including service it was pretty good value too, and I’ll definitely recommend.
