Good area for walking the dogs and good facilities too

I have been stopping here for years for a coffee and wc on my journeys, it's a easy parking experience and the location makes it a good point in my regular trips. My biggest gripe though is it gets very busy, which can be a pain, getting served etc. But my biggest Gripe is they have reconfigured the McDonald's area, and it just doesn't work for people flow usage, confusing, stops people walking directly to the toilets both from McDonald's or if your attempting to pass by from the main doors towards the toilets. The seating area in McDonald's is now terrible. But the area is fine at the other side over by the Costa outlet more spacious and relaxing.

So far too get to the main building from caravan parking with no signs to direct you making it very difficult to know where to go ? Confusing Inside with separation wall to mcdonald's making it unclear where to go.

It's a motorway service area what more is there to say. It's clean and the toilets are well maintained

What a lovely place this service station is! I had driven over three hours early morning and was dying for some toast but Costa and the breakfast place said they had none. Then lovely Esther came up to me and said she would see if she could get some bread to do toast and she promptly did! I cannot tell you how tasty that was after a long drive. I still had another hour and a half to Ilfracombe so it was very welcome! Thank you Esther you are a star! Above and beyond! I will not forget your kindness. Thank you.

Quick visit to stop for the toilet won't stop again as didn't like the sounds coming out of one of the cubicles sounded like someone was making a porn film

Perfect service by the Costa guy who goes by the name wolverine. Service was quick and efficient and I always enjoy when people have a sense of humour.

I got off the motorway due to a huge panic attack , went into the indoor shop and spoke to a lovely girl called Lilly who was brilliant in helping me, I want to say a massive thank you to lily and her manager Helen. Absolutely ridiculous that in 2025 there are no baby changing facilities in the men's. Baby changing/disabled toilet was closed and therefore my husband couldn't change our daughter! How would you like to sit in your own excrement for 15 minutes until the next services?

Clean and tidy, plenty of space. Only a limited amount of chances to purchase food and drink unless you want burgers or coffee

Leon's natural food shop was great but pricey! Was our only option as the mcdonalds was absolutely heaving!

Convenient stop for a toilet break

This is rather embarrassing. My heavily pregnant partner, our three year old son and I pulled into to this service station as I urgently needed to go to the toilet. This is after two days of using imodium to try and manage diahorrea. On arrival at the service station @ about 14:00 on Sunday the 9th Feb 2025, I exited my vehicle and waddled clenching expectantly towards the main entrance of the service station. Unfortunately I was "greeted" by a short, middle aged, dark haired female member of staff, dressed in black with a red lanyard who informed me they were not letting people in as they had a burst water pipe. I explained my situation, to this member of staff. She could only repeat the same message over and over. I waddled back to my car and my partner noticed a sign saying "additional toilets" on a temporary structure in the car park. I attempted these but they were locked. My bowls expecting to have a movement had increased my need to go and reduced the countdown to a few minutes at best. I once again waddled over the the member of staff who had previously denied me access. I appreciate that initially she may have just presumed me a chancer who was trying his luck. I explained that my only two options if she didn't let me in were: 1) shitting my pants In front of my heavily pregnant partner and my three year old son or 2) I would have to open my bowels in there outside area/car park. I explained that despite turning the water off to manage the burst pipe, the cisterns would likely still have water in them and even if they didn't my bowel movement would just sit in the toilet pan until they did. She refused my plea, the reductive thinking member of staff was unable to understand that it was ultimately a human decision and empathy / logic could be used along side protocol. There was no consideration of escalating the situation to higher management on her part, despite me expressing that it is ultimately a human decision. Perhaps she was a member of management (although she shouldn't be with such inability to think in a dynamic flexible way or display any care or empathy). Ultimately I waddled back to my van, where my partner handed me a roll of tissue. Hastily i found an area fenced off to the left of the main entrance so I did not exposure myself to the public or hopefully (but unlikely 😭) any CCTV. Behind a big green bin with my back on a tree i squatted down poured my dignity out of my arse. Returning to the shameful site after with a dog poo bag to clean up my business and put it in the bin (I'm good like that, it's not the cleaners fault 🫣). This could have been so easily dealt with if said member of staff (see attached pic: taken by my very angry Mrs) could have used her brain and shown some compassion and empathy. After all was finished I saw a shirt wearing male member of staff at the door and walked (no longer waddling) over for a chat as I was frankly disgusted with how I was treated and wanted to enquire who to escalate this too. The male member of staff (badge said manager, forgot the name) was polite and listened and said he would talk to the member of staff, but was hesitant to give names of people to escalate it too. As such I felt compelled to embarrass myself on Google reviews and likely trip advisor too. In short.... Don't get caught short at Sedgemoor South services, you would do better pulling into the flipping hard shoulder.

Following a small fall, your staff member Esther helped my husband and me to a table. Brought over our drinks and made sure I was safe and well. A credit to your company. The area was clean easy to use and a pleasant environment. Any thanks to Esther for all her help and kindness.

On arriving at the Sedgemoor Services we were met by a fantastic member of staff called Esther!!! She was exceedingly polite and lovely to chat to. I myself used your disabled toilet, and, I have to say that without a doubt, the facilities at your location are the best I’ve ever seen for disabled people! You’ve got so much equipment in there. Costa coffee and McDonald's here are great for service and food. Yes it is service station prices but better than the onsite shop sandwich offerings. Sorry have not tried the chicken place. Disabled access automatic door not working.

I had a wonderful experience at the Costa Coffee drive-thru at Sedgemoor Services. The service was exceptional, and I want to give a special mention to Nicole and Niamh, who went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. They were both incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive, ensuring my order was perfect and served with a smile. It’s refreshing to receive such great customer service, especially when you’re on the road. I stop off at the Costa drive through several times a week and I am always met with a happy smile. I do have several other Costa’s that are on my route however I find this one in particular very friendly and very quick at getting my preferred coffee. Today I was served by Nichole and Neve whom were both very cheerful and made me a delicious coffee , just what I needed to get me through this very windy day.

Stop here daily on my commute to work. Staff are always friendly and quick with their delivery of drinks. Special mention to Nicole and Neve. Always smiling and polite.

Poor. Needs to try harder. As a lorry driver stopping on the motorway I’m used to being made to park as far from the amenities as possible, so when it’s tipping it down I get soaked just going to the toilet. But when I finally reach a loo with a locking door or one that’s has a loo seat or one that’s not been used by a heard of cattle, it has toilet paper so thin I can see through it. Would the management of these services or their managers put up with it-I think not!!

Stopped here to eat at Leon, better food than most motorway services usually offer. Leon advertises it serves breakfast lunch and dinner but was closed at 5.45 pm. Decided to look for somewhere else to eat.

Monday before Christmas virtually empty but service for coffee in 2 places very slow

Not bad at all. Frankley Services could learn a lot from Sedgemoor! Toilets clean and easy to find, and Costa had smiling, helpful staff, who worked efficiently with a long queue. Found an electric charger without difficulty. Would recommend.

Lots of space and close parking prices not too bad

Getting to dig walking are is rough. Electric charging I think was for 5/6 cars. People queuing had to travel further. Wasted an hour waiting

Had an absolute superstar worker, Eloise! So helpful after we broke down! Incredible service made us feel relaxed and cared for. Couldn’t have done more to help us. She’s fantastic and an absolute asset to their team.

Car broke down, spoke to a incredibly helpful and kind Eloise. She kindly assisted with the car being registered as broken down and also went above and beyond calming us and making us feel safe and welcome serving us food as well. I've never know kindness so willing and gently given at a services before. She is a true representation of human kindness. I'm deeply greatful for her hospitality and kindness. 10/10, 5 stars full glowing review, give her the world!

Broke down and had the most helpful, amazing experience. Was helped by Eloise, such a lovely person, and couldn’t have asked for anything more from our time whilst stuck here. Extremely grateful for how well we were treated.

13 pounds for staying 10 minutes after the free two hours. It was my fault anyway, but did not expect to charge 12 hours fees for whatever time beyond the initial two hours.

Love these services. They've had a bit of a paint job recently and it's much brighter and clean looking. It's also dog friendly which we love . Would recommend.

Some outlets closed. Who in their right mind pays 30p a ltr more for petrol at a service station. Toilets were clean, and the locks worked. Always carry water and a flask of coffee, also some snackes to eat.

Stopped Sedgemoore services on Friday 4th October around 1pm for a short break and my wife who uses a wheelchair went to the disabled toilet was disgustingly we opened the door and the toilet seat was up and we saw a dirty yellow stain around the underneath of the seat and the whole room doesn’t look clean we used paper to turn the tap on and off it was appalling. We had food in Costa at the services which was nice and rest of the services is clean. The disabled facilities needs to be looked at and we will be driving past sedgemoore services in the future. I only gave 1 star because this let the services down

Great services, only pain is the wall thats built around McDonald's, it's easy to go into the McDonald's part and you have to walk back out and round to get to the toilets, seen a few people do that whilst there and I even did it my self. The toilets stank as well they really need a good deep clean.

Plenty of food options. Cafes to eat in or shops to buy food and take away. The ladies toilets always have an unpleasant smell about them which lingers right up the corridor before you even get to them. I appreciate that this an extremely busy services and footfall is constant but unfortunately I do dread using the ladies toilets.

I find the Service clean and tidy and the Fish and chips, which we had was delicious.

Easy/quick to get to pull into from the motorway, just like the Northbound services on the other side of the M5. Runs out of sandwiches in peak season, but don't they all. Does the job.

A good place to stop for a break along the M5 going south. Usual outlets with plenty of choice to eat. Accessible toilets and everything else you'd expect.

Really awful. If you need a pee in a hurry... drive the twenty or so miles to the next services. It'll be quicker!

The biggest dog walking area I have ever seen at a services. Very busy Evening charging options but they were all full at the time.
