Used to make a great bacon barm, but they must have changed supplier because the last few visits bread rolls have suddenly become quite dry and stale

Attended The Christmas Party Event on Wednesday 29th November with The Local Ladies Guild. Fabulous decor, great entertainment and party atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and efficient and the 3 course meal ran smoothly with the added bonus of hot plates!! Unfortunately one of our party was suddenly taken ill. The staff were amazing, totally unfazed, even phoned her daughter to come and collect her and supported her until her daughter arrived. We can't praise them enough! 10 * service.

Despite the venue being very busy, we quickly found a table and worked our way through menu options. My wife chose the soup and I went with the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. Service was excellent and given lots of time to make our choices.

Rivington Hall Barn, what can I say. You made our wedding fantastic, everything was planned to perfection. Before hand no question was ever to much. You really made our dream wedding a reality. Your team are so accommodating and nothing was ever to much trouble. Absolute fantastic venue, I will Be recommending you for years to come. Thankyou so much again. Mr and Mrs Taylor x

This is a very popular cafe/restaurant with good honest food. Very popular with dog walkers due to its location. There is inside and outside seating and it’s located in beautiful woodland. This cafe is dog friendly. Unfortunately although I am ok with dogs I don’t like them messing around my heels whilst eating looking at me waiting for scraps and constantly wondering if one is going to do it’s mess on the floor just as I am tucking into my full English breakfast. There is no separation for people without dogs to eat so if like me you don’t like being surrounded by dogs whilst eating you may be better to give it a miss.

We have been here many times and have always left completely satisfied. The food is very good, the staff are always pleasant and quick, all in a fantastic Saxon barn, or if you want outside seating is available. Rivington and the barns are a jewel in the north of England. As such it can get busy at the weekend. The dog also gets very excited when we visit as they serve a special sausage for them! The full English breakfast is very good, high quality.

A group of us met here at the start of a pub crawl and had a great time. On this occasion, we didn’t actually go in the building as it was table service and we had our drinks brought to us. This suited us perfectly as it was a beautiful day, and this has a lovely outside seating area. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the service quick and efficient. They were serving lunch which look very good indeed and maybe next time we would eat there. It does get very busy though and parking was particularly busy on this Saturday lunchtime. Maybe better if possible to attend at a quieter time?

Such a good cafe in a lovely setting. The service was efficient and my lunch...hotpot with red cabbage and marrowfat peas...was delicious and really good value for money. We come here often and are rarely disappointed.

We stopped off here for delicious Full English Breakfast out in the sunshine during a lovely day last year before a walk up to Rivington Pike. Ample seating, quick service, lovely staff - and most important - excellent food! Will be visiting again.

Good food, excellent portions, very pleasant staff and service, in a historic barn in a beautiful location. Such a shame about the loos, which are in a separate building, so if the weather is inclement it’s not pleasant, and neither are the loos, cold and very utilitarian. I have a disabled loo radar key which did NOT unlock the disabled loo and the hand washers weren’t working, so there were a couple of hand sanitizer bottles on a windowsill, admittedly there was a note apologising for the failure. As someone who likes to wash my hands and freshen up before eating these facilities were very poor, such a shame when everything else was so lovely.

Went on a day out and came across this amazing café. The atmosphere was buzzing and we didn’t have to wait long for a table. Service was super quick and so friendly. We had French toast with bacon and maple syrup and a beef panini. The food was absolutely delicious. Even though this was our first visit, we were treated like old friends. We’ll be back when we are next in the area and are looking forward to it. A place well thought out with beautiful interiors and amazing staff and food.

Fantastic food, disco, everything is fantastic. We have visited here for many years on our Christmas do's, and it is the best by far of all the many Christmas do's i have been on. Usually 5 star everything. The reason it is not 5 star this year is because there were quite a few young people drinking with glasses on the dance floor. There are young men looking to make sure all okay, but they are needed on all 4 corners of the dance floor - a definite accident with drunk people waiting to happen.

Omg what an amazing night here for our works Christmas party. Food amazing entertainment was unreal, never been to party night like it. They thought of everything. Snow falling down, balloons falling from ceiling,. Entertainment was best. Them sax group really gothe party started. Just could not fault it. Best night in ages. Didn't venture on the bucking reindeer though but had fun watching everyone falling off.. Just could not fault it.

I've been to a few Christmas party nights at the barn and it has always been the place we book. Sadly I think we may look elsewhere next year. Tickets are quite pricey but used to be justified by the elaborate buffet and entertainment. This year's buffet was a let down. Raw pastry on the quiche which looked like school canteen quiche, hard small roast potatoes and tough focaccia bread. Overall it didn't look or taste as good as previous years. I was expecting decadent. The deserts were complete opposite. You could tell a lot of work had gone into them and they were delicious. The staff serving were lovely as always. Overall I enjoyed the entertainment but sadly we heard the DJs voice far too often, let us enjoy the music! A few us agreed we will look at other options for next year which is a first as we normally rebook straight after attending.

My friends and I experienced the barn for Halloween for the first time this Saturday. It was absolutely incredible!! The barn itself looked fantastic! The entertainment, superb! Staff, friendly and efficient! Staff and management should be proud of themselves! We will be back !!!

Management are extremely horrible and made one of the members of staff cry. The Management have 0 control over the place and are not complying to covid regulations. There is very clear sexism in this establishment.

We dined here with friends following a walk up Rivington Pike. The service was very good despite being busy, we were seated outdoors and felt comfortable with the social distancing arrangement. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Fantastic atmosphere with music playing and effective outdoor lighting and furnishings to create a lovely ambience.

Called in for something to eat with my daughter. Love the beams inside the hall and also the amazing slate roof. Had a very nice cafetiere and toasted teacake.

Appauled by lack of social distancing .......staff and management should be ashamed. Lancashire in lockdown and getting worse, we all need to do our part no masks no distancing

Love this place, enjoyed a visit today, was busy but pleasantly so. We had a pulled pork bap which was so good! And a slice of cake to help us on our way! I love the dogs that potter about and it was lovely to see a couple of horses drop by. The only downside was the group of bikers with their engines running and loudly slagging off anyone that walked past that they took a dislike to.

The name definitely suits this terrible location as the food tasted like it came straight out of a cows backside. The portion was barely enough to feed Warwick Davis, let alone a person of normal stature. It may have filled me up a little more if it wasn't for all the flies and bugs that stole half of the food from my plate. It didn't help that I just could not stop myself from heaving due to the terrible stench coming from the bikers surrounding us, and the amount of crumbs stuck to each one of their beards made it even worse, especially the ones on the womans..it was not very plesant. The food from the hotdog van outside is much better than the food inside.

Not a lot more to say really breakfast wast simply stunning and the latte was out of this world what a great business this place must be a little goldmine keep up the good work.

Visited Rivington Hall Barn yesterday for the first time and I absolutely loved it!!Me & my partner had been out for a Sunday afternoon walk and we decided to pop in for a bit of lunch after we had finished and I am so glad we did!!Absolutely stunning venue and I can imagine for a wedding it would be incredible! Lovely renovated barn type venue with a lot of character.I had a turkey, stuffing & gravy cob which was fully loaded and delicious. I followed this with a cup of coffee & a stunning slice of homemade coffee and walnut cake.Overall it was a brilliant place to stop off after our walk up and around Rivington, I will definitely be back and I think next time I will be sampling a few afternoon beers in there too, loved it!!

We went for a family “let’s get out whist it not raining” trip. With the bad weather we’ve been cooped up. I had forgotten how nice the area was and how quaint the barn was. It’s a bit like dinning in a giant hall rather than a cozy restaurant. The food was really nice and was also served hot, the drinks are reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The toilets were very good and clean. Plenty of parking spaces available so all round good for a family day out. It is slightly expensive but I prefer to pay the extra for good food served hot to your table than going up for a warm carvary. I look forward to visiting again

Stopped off here with my son & grandson as visiting Bolton and we were being shown the sites. Very impressed with the setting but we would have not known about it had we have not been taken. My son lives locally and comes here all the time when walking.

Good atmosphere (more down to the drink and entertainment) but the buffet food wasn't up to much and the veg offering poor - they'd either run out of anything with colour or bought a lot of potatoes that they had to shift. That said, we had friends who'd booked in somewhere else that they then closed taking their deposit, so glad that we were here and not potentially there!

Works Xmas party on the 21st December and what a party it was, couldn’t fault the staff at all the food was great the atmosphere was fantastic. Well done to all best Xmas party we’ve been too.

What a shock only ever been here in the day but the barn was transformed into a winter wonderland.Fabulous Sax player, good band and the food was amazing. The foam wasn't a great idea, beware they give shower caps but not enough for all and fake snow is sprayed over the dance floor some expansive hairdo's ruined. I had a great time plenty of bars so no queing. Would recommend for future visits.

Sunday lunch was a real treat. My husband chose beef which he described as delicious and really tender. I chose turkey which was exquisite and excellent value for money. The service was faultless as usual; both friendly and very accommodating. I have never been disappointed at the Barn and it still remains my all time favourite place. Thank you.

Visited here yesterday for a simple snack and a coffee before a walk.

Visited with friends who live near the barn. The barn is huge and has been converted into a coffee shop and also a bar. It is really beautiful and has been converted to a high standard. Would definitely recommend this a visit if you are in the area.

We eat here most Sundays after a long walk around the beautiful hills of Rivington Pike, the Sunday roasts are to die for the beef is so tender with not an ounce of grisly or fat anywhere. The Turkey is also very tasty, the portion sizes are more than adequate and you normally get extra gravy which is great to mop up with my chips (They are more than happy to swap the mash for chips and roasties) The staff are all very friendly a real credit to the ,management team.

Sunday lunch at Rivington Barn is a treat not to be missed. It is delicious and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend it

Came for breakfast with friends and we’re all disappointed, seems there has been a change in chef/kitchen staff and food quality wasn’t up to scratch. Shame as we come a lot, might give it a break for a while.

Rivington Hall Barn is such a beautiful wedding venue. My son and daughter in law(!) had a fantastic wedding, we are still on Cloud 9. It was an amazing day. Particular thanks to Gilly, Rachael and Matthew as well as catering, bar and “behind the scene” staff – everyone was great and worked so hard to make sure that we had a good time. All our guests commented on how well presented and tasty the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Buffet was. Everything was above and beyond our expectations and we had a wonderful and memorable day. Great spot for a snack, food, coffee, cake etc etc. Clean. Plenty staff. Toilets are off site but again clean. Reasonable in price. Nice coffee too

We decided to have our wedding at Rivington Hall Barn and it was just perfect. From our first enquiries, through to planning, to the big day and to the collection of our wedding stuff the following day, the staff at Rivington were attentive, informative, friendly and gave the best customer service I have ever received. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the staff were. They helped me prepare to walk down the aisle and were just so lovely. A special mention to Ben, Anna & Rachael who were so helpful with our planning. And to Matthew, Matthew & Will who were on hand all day with anything we needed. The nicest bunch of people, and we had total faith in them all. It meant that we could relax throughout the day knowing that everything was in hand. We can not thank them all enough. The food was delicious & the barn was just magical. Perfect wedding venue, perfect staff. We want to do it all over again

Went for a drink after our walk to Rivington Pike. Lovely, clean place for something to drink. Also a great selections of foods, drinks & ice cream outside.Very clean and spacious inside the hall

The barn is a lovely place and a nice walk around the grounds, looking at the bikes also. We only ordered chips and gravy with coffee and tea, came to £9.97. Chips were bitty and cold and you don’t get that many.

Went here on a ride out as was told its a place were bikers meet unfortunately it rained so not many there how ever we stayed for food which was cheap but hot and was just what we needed

Good adjective of hot and cold foods with different specials. I had a chicken burrito which came with some lush guacamole, Salad and sour cream. Kids had toasties and hot pulled pork barm. Reasonable prices.

great location the waiting time was longer than we would have liked but it was worth the wait, we had a lovely walk and ended with a great bite to eat. Staff were helpful and friendly. Perfect.

visited today easter monday lovely weather lovely setting and good food asked in the barn if dogs were allowed whilst eating they said no we had to eat in the covered area outside no problem as it was a nice day however imagine my disgust when going to the counter to order food i noticed a family eating inside they had a dog with them it was even sat on the bench with them and not on the floor i was going to mention it but didnt want to make a fuss at the time but felt this was not fair on us or the other people outside with their dogs it shouldnt be one rule for one and another rule for everyone else

Rivington barn is a place l remember from 50 years ago, it's changed a bit since then,but still has charm and caracter, the food is of a good standard and the staff very pleasant, well worth a visit in wonderful surrounding.

Visited today with my 87 year old aunty for lunch. It was really busy but we got a table. So much choice on the menu, I asked for ham salad which wasn't on the menu but they obliged without hesitation. Service was good, very busy and hardworking staff! Food was lovely, there was a large selection of cakes which was very tempting but we managed to resist! Wilm definitely be back, highly recommend.

Came here for a wedding reception on 23rd March.

We attended a wedding here and had a great day. The room looked stunning for the ceremony and when it was turned around for the wedding breakfast. The weather stayed dry for the drinks reception which meant that the glass atrium was opened up, creating an outside feel. It was a lovely part of the day and the canapés served were delicious - particularly the miniature 'fish and chip'. Service throughout the day was faultless. The Bride and Groom had chosen an informal BBQ for their wedding breakfast. It was nice that you could choose what you wanted but the addition of some signage would have made it a smoother experience. Having to ask at each station meant holding the queue up and not asking resulted in ending up with a lamb burger I wouldn't have knowingly chosen. The BBQ food was average - the canapés had been much nicer. The barn did get hot in the evening (although it was August, it has rained on and off throughout the morning and wasn't a particularly hot day) which meant that lots of people ended up outside trying to cool off. The toilets were clean and spacious. A wonderful wedding venue. I feel that the only real downfall is seeing members of the public in casual clothing walking by, often stopping and gawking at members of the wedding party and guests.

Arrived on a busy Sunday lunchtime to find few spare tables. After ordering, at the counter, the food arrived speedily and was tasty. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. The area gets busy with walkers and motorcyclists but it is worth visiting. The toilets are in the adjacent building and they are clean.

I've been a fan of Rivington Hall Barn since the 1970's and there are LOTS of reasons to visit. Every time I go there I am glad I did. BUT BUT BUT, their party nights (like the Irish Night on 9th March) are deafeningly LOUD!!

On arriving the barn was busy but still plenty tables available.

Sunday afternoon after the recent snowfall, we thought it would be quieter than normal. Wrong, the roads up and around Rivington (very popular walking area) were choked with traffic and walkers. Just managed to park at the Barn, which is a magnet to motorcyclists at weekend, fortunately the weather must have put a number off. Our party of Eight people including 2 visiting Canadians (Heat wave for them!) pre booked a table, a few drinks from beer to coffee, meals ordered at the bar, 5 Traditional Roast Beef dinners, 2 Steak & Ale Pies and 1 Fish, Chips & Mushy Peas. This was served within 10 minutes and all thoroughly enjoyed the food, the barn is sensational reasonably warm for such an open building, the area inside is split on one side the tables are set as a snack bar and the other for meals (separate booking areas) Loads of walkers and their relevant apparel are obviously welcome and well catered for. Three of us managed desserts - 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding, 1 Fruit Crumble and 1 Eton Mess. Nothing was left. All this with additional drinks came to just over £100.00. Great value for a great afternoon. Our Canadian friends were extremely impressed with the whole experience. Incidentally I as a teenager attended Bolton Arts Ball at the same venue sadly 50 years ago!

A fantastic night here for the works Christmas party, so good HR have booked again for this year! The food was superb with lots of choice for everyone. Great atmosphere and food bar selection. Excellent way to start the festive season.

Great night, band and D J played good music, food tasty and lots of choice, mini casino , bull riding, photo booth, good atmosphere and decorated perfectly for Christmas. Had lots of fun with colleagues brilliant night out even loved the snow fall on the dance floor. Would recommend.

Went with our Keep Fit class to our annual Christmas do at Rivington Hall Barn and had a most enjoyable meal. The food was beautifully cooked and generous in portions and the service from the staff was excellent. We also had good entertainment and an opportunity to dance.The hall is beautifully decorated and there is a great Christmas spirit. In addition, the Hall is in a very scenic setting. Would definitely wish to go again.

Pumpkin spiced lattes were exquisite! Wow... The carrot and coriander soup was delicious. Beef and onion sandwich was gorgous and very filling (same with the pulled pork sandwich). Will be returning! 😊

Well you can stop for lunch and have some warm food and a hot drink (the hotpot is worth a try), or you can just stop for a cake or scone (the scones are certainly worth a try). Keep in mind, events excluded, this place is a cafe rather than a restaurant; that means order at the counter and take your tray with you or if your food isn't ready, it will be brought out to you. It is not a full on restaurant with table service and an extensive menu. That said, there is still decent choice and its all good quality. The place gets busy and parking can be difficult on such busy days, but that is a testament of the popularity of the place. In summer its a regular meeting point for those out on their bikes, if you like a look round some motorbikes then its worth a visit. In summer the BBQ is also open which does cracking burgers.

A great day out, service excellant and the foid was hot came out quickly and tasted delicious, entertainment met the taste if all attending and the young staff were fabulous. Recommend highly.

What a great afternoon at a lovely venue. 16 local pensioners arranged an afternoon of food an entertainment at Rivington Hall Barn. Understandably due to the total amount of diners we had to pre book our meals with a choice of Roast Beef and all the roast trimmings or Lemon and Thyme chicken with a leaf salad. Followed by Eton Mess or apple pie and custard. There must have been about 300 covers but all were served quickly, professionally and politely by a team of waiters and waitresses. The meals were scrumptious and hot considering the number of diners there. After the meal we were treated to a cabaret which involved a singalong. Everyone had a great time and we will be going back again. Very smooth operation, we don't know how you do it, but keep it up.

I’ve been visiting Rivington barn since I was a child and I will keep on going for as long as I can. The memories, the history, the feeling you get when going into this place and sitting outside. I hope it never closes.

Just want to say a huge thank you to all the team at Rivington Hall Barn. We planned our visit for the family to have Sunday lunch (over 40 of us) following our morning walk up to the Pike. From sorting our bookings, to planning out the tables together you all made our day very special for us. The Sunday Roast Dinner was fantastic. We hope to do this again in the future.

Spent our girls Christmas doo here and we had an amazing time! Great food, rodeo bull, quick drinks service (wide choice) great band, songs and decor!

came here with parents, it was nice to visit the barn again, nice stalls, you can get some bargains and there are some antiques too, so if you know what your looking for its a great place, pottery, jewellry, ornaments, all kinds of stuff

I stopped here for a spot of lunch whilst it walking on a beautiful sunny September afternoon. I opted for daily special Pulled pork sandwich. I ate outside & enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of other walkers most with their pooches.

Went for a light lunch, Very good, if a little on the expensive side. Service with a smile, efficient, friendly and fairly quick. The food is good, the Tuna Melt Panini to die for. The Barn is a beautiful old building, light and spacious. The car park is not over generous but there's plenty of parking across the road. It is popular with the Sunday bikers, but they are a friendly and polite mob, happy to discuss their pride and joy all day. The woodlands are great for walking and the lakes a delight. Recommended day trip, if only for that panini.

We had the most magical day at our friends Julie and Phil's wedding. From the moment we walked in until the time we left. The whole atmosphere was electric. Wonderful staff, delicious food and wine and a special mention to Adam who made it so special for the Bride and Groom and everyone who attended. Cannot praise it enough. A day not to be forgotten.

On a Sunday a lot of bikers meet up hear there a hundreds of bikes coming and going all day bikes of all shapes and sizes new and old a pleasant atmosphere in great surrounding's a good ride out.

Such a wonderful Idyllic Romantic setting for a wedding. The set up an service second to none nothing too much trouble. Food excellent Staff very attentive. Fully recommend here if anyone looking for a beautiful Venue

I recently attended the wedding of a friend at Rivington Barn. The room was decorated beautifully and the food was very good all day. The staff were curteous and helpful and the bar selection is good, especially the Gin range. I would highly recommend this venue for any function.

Parking nearby, we decided to call in after our walk. The cafe is almost like a self-service cafe which i found to be a little disappointing but the selection of food and drinks available was quite extensive. We ordered and paid for our food and then went to sit on the benches outside. Unfortunately, the was quite a bit of food debris between the bench slats which was quite off-putting.

My wife and I along with our young son visited here today and just really wanted some lunch.....ie sandwiches and a side of chips etc.....now, our son is at that very fussy age whereby he eats the same food everywhere he goes and so he said he wanted a ‘ham sandwich’.....’easy’ i hear you cry!!! ‘Wrong’ I reply!!.......yes they had a simple ham sandwich but the ham must have been a super deluxe version of ham and the bread must have been made with home stone milled flour from sunny Dorset.....because for two slices of white bread and what looked like once slice of ham was the astronomical cost of £3.95 and no garnish included......the other sandwiches where £3.95 plus....even though they also appeared to lack inspiration.......it’s a shame because for years this place had missed a trick and now they finally look the part they suddenly think they are gourmet food providers with the gourmet costs

We came here to our friends wedding reception the place was decorated out beautifully the table decorations were amazing.The food we had was a BBQ outside and that was delicious something for everyone even the children.Service was good and the staff behind the bar also,they had lots of gin cocktails specials at the bar reasonably priced too.

To get away from my neighbours watching loud football, we got our motorcycles put and went for a ride to the Barn (as it's known by us regular patrons ) only to find a MASSIVE BLOODY SCREEN AND FOOTBALL! !! Talk about peed off. Parking was more than atrocious with car drivers dumping cars wherever they wanted with no care at all ,much less any crap they dug out when leaving all over the road , just great if you're on two wheels. Not a care if anyone was walking around them with prams. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. All those glass pint glasses being knocked over in the path of bikes , push bikes and digs is an absolute disgrace. I will NEVER EVERY go there again. They do not care that we bikers pay their way through the year, and not one cr*p is given for us. Goodbye. Good luck training your waiter muppet in the butty van. You don't deserve our custom. I won't be back. Annoyed patron for 30 plus years.

We were lucky enough to get married at this stunning venue in April 2017. The venue itself is beautiful without any additional dressing, however the staff go above and beyond to ensure every aspect of all your ideas for your day are put into place. We wanted an informal, bright, fun wedding so opted for a BBQ instead of a traditional sit down meal and the food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and even now wen we go back to visit they always make us feel special. We had quite a large wedding and the barn is perfect for keeping all your guests in one place for one great big party. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding, special event or a party.

What a beautiful, beautiful place. Stunning location, with excellent facilities and a sensitive mix of modern accessibility coupled with a beautiful old building. My friend held his wedding reception here, wherein we were treated to a gin bar in the courtyard, Pimms on arrival, canapés, a superb three course meal (oh my word, the sticky toffee pudding was on another level!), good coffee, decent table wine and a very well-stocked bar. There was a good complement of staff on hand, service was rapid, and security on the door later on. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

I brought my mum here for tea and cake and while the cakes were good and the staff friendly and helpful, there’s just something very average about it all.

Called in after lovely walk with friend. Plenty choice. Really good value. Quiche definitely recommended. Good friendly quick service. Good seating inside and out. Nice and clean.

It was so good to be back in Lancashire and and experience good homely cooking, excellent value for money, and absolutely cracking service. How you are treated when eating out makes all the difference, this was in the top barn at a music event, and the staff couldn’t have been more cheerful and helpful. They do these events twice a month and I’d recommend them to anyone. Lovely afternoon.

The food is always delicious, excellent portion sizes and very good value for money. , the staff can't do enough for you,nothing is too much trouble.we go every other Sunday for lunch and always enjoy the whole experience,it's a friendly and welcoming place for all ages. inside the barn is one large room,one end serves sandwiches soup chip's cakes etc, the other half of the barn is waitress service,you can pre book a table and choose from a menu then order at the bar.

First time visiting this wonderful place. The scenery is stunning. You can walk for miles, take the kids and the dogs Bike with the family or chill in the cafe. The menu had pleanty of choice and they cater for people with food allergies. Service was fantastic. I couldn't eat all my steak sandwich and asked for a takeaway box which was no bother to the lady who served us. Ice cream was lovely as well.

We have been several times and each time we have had a really great day. Hopwood court.Shaw. Oldham. The food was always very good. The staff were very good. The entertainment was always very good.

We had our wedding at Rivington Barn last month. The room looked stunning, the meals were delicious and the organisation of the day by the staff was also perfect. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough if you’re looking for a wedding venue.

Along with my son in law I did a wedding shoot at the Barns this weekend. The building is amazing with excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly and professional and the whole day went smoothly.As photographers it was a long day and the manager provided us with the same meal as the guests which was much appreciated. Visited lower barn for refreshments after walking upto the Pike (Monday 8th Jan 2018), early afternoon was busy, but still plenty of food choices. Order steak sandwich with mustard and fried onions followed by their ginger flapjack and a cappuccino. Steak sandwich freshly made and served with side salad, steak was little tough may have been my fault for asking for it tobe well done. Cake and coffee tasted great as always. Popular place, food not cheap, but we'll presented and fresh.

We regularly use the barn to stop and get a coffee in colder months or ice creams in the warmer months. The food is much better than one might expect for such a place that has such a transient customer base. Sandwiches are very good and warm food choices are wide in range.

Fantastic evening, food was fabulous especially the ham joint. Christmas Decoration amazing. This is a wonderful venue for weddings. The band that was on was, well, rubbish, he really needed to turn the bass down couldn’t hear the lead guitar and the singer wasn’t to good either, not impressed. The foam party, where was it , there was a tiny flurry, not worth supplying us with shower caps, which was a nice touch though. The bucking Reindeer was amazing fun. The snowman needs a wash and the girl on stilts needs to wear pants under her skirt not pleasant at all. The price of the drinks was very expensive £4.10 for vodka and orange. But all in all a fabulous night.
