We were staying locally for a short break and drove into Fordingbrige . We dropped into the Tea Garden for lunch we were a little early for the lunch menu so had a coffee first . Lunch menu is nice and varied two of us had the hog roast sandwich and one a beef sandwich . Excellent quality of food and having a riverside table made it all the more enjoyable. Staff friendly and attentive and I would recommend it without hesitation. Dog friendly too 🐕

I visited this morning for a Latte by the river just after 9am whilst my husband was at the Chiropractor unaware it didn't open until 10am! However, I was welcomed and served. Lovely, welcoming, quiet, relaxing Riverside cafe. Highly recommend.

Our cycling group of 14 visited the tea gardens on Saturday morning having visited it last year. It was very busy and unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our coffees as they had problems with their coffee machine but the staff were all very apologetic and the delay did not concern us. One of our party had a bacon buttie which was lovely and the rest enjoyed toasted tea cakes. We visited again on Wednesday and were welcomed back with smiley faces and this time we enjoyed toasted tea cakes and apple cake. The staff are all very friendly and it is a lovely place to sit right by the river especially on a beautiful sunny day.

Came last year lovley place, good food and price ok, lovley view that sells the place. But this year came 2 times first time no service of sandwiches etc just cakes, second time member of staff who makes the food is off so only cakes, ordered tea came out coffee machine broken waiting for up stairs to make it staff member says, never came, went to pay staff not bothered, just said they are busy up stairs, they was just sitting around at till no manager running the place service going down hill. Such a shame . So hit and miss and be prepared for this, hence scores I have given.

Although this is a review from a current employee I have only been working here over a month and what I can say is that before I started working here on my first visit I found it relaxing and very peaceful. I love being near the river, it's in a very quiet location which is very nice for locals and visitors also. I do come down when I'm off shift too as I only work certain days. The staff here who I got to meet before starting here were very welcoming. A while back I found that the cakes were homemade and there really lovely. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Really peaceful, beautiful place tucked away behind the shops, overlooking the river. Fantastic home cooked, fresh food and a truly gorgeous mocha. Lovely staff too. Wheelchair accessible too! (something a lot of places in Fordingbridge unfortunately are not!) highly recommend

Lunch on a hot day, where the riverside tables were just what was needed! The 'Clucky Chicken' intrigued me, but was delicious on a jacket potato!

Very disappointing….had heard great things about this place and I always shop and eat locally so my husband and I decided to have lunch here! Well we ended up not eating! We were seated by an unenthusiastic waitress and then spent 15 mins waiting to be served! A couple of groups had their orders taken before us who came after us…only seemed one person was serving but hardly saw her! We decided to leave in the end! So disappointing! Seemed over priced too….£10 for a jacket potato…..poor service and overlooked by residential flats!

Just opened today (Good Friday). Had a lovely welcome and a fabulous place to sit right next to the river. Great service and attentive waitresses. We had a curry sausage roll which was delicious and cheese scone with awesome apricot or mango chutney (couldn't tell!). Had a lovely cup of black tea too! Loved our short visit ❤

This is a charming courtyard cafe right next to the river Avon. Water runs beside you, ducks float peacefully past. We had a very good cream tea served by a cheerfully enthusiastic waitress. Tea refills are free, cream is generous. This is a summer only tea room so go before the end of the season! Light lunches are served and the blackboard menu looks very promising. Not easy to find, as entrance is down narrow walkway but worth it!

Lovely place, nice food, excellent service my only criticism is that we found it by accident it needs more advertising in the town as it is then best tea house in fordingbridge.

From the moment we stepped in, the service was excellent. The food and drink is fresh and of a high quality (but still great value!). Add to that great views, clean tables and full disabled access, and you won’t find a better coffee in Fordingbridge.

Its hidden , down an alley opposite the museum (look for the hanging oval sign) and you come to an open terrace on the river Avon. The views of which are wonderfull- upstream an unspoilt river with overhanging trees and downstream the old arches of the stone bridge. We did see a couple of kingfishers fly past. To the actual cafe itself - it outdoors only - tables with umbrellas. We had coffees and cakes , which were very good. We noticed they did breakfasts and light lunches. We were told they open at 10.

Visited here on a Friday night and was deserted so should have been a sign of things to come. Service was ok but quite slow and a little unorganised. Unfortunately the worst element was the food, was very flavourless, had a Jalfrezi and was the most bland curry I’ve ever eaten. Friend had a chicken dhansak and only contained three bits of chicken. The onion bhajis were actually ok but were completely dripping in far too much oil and left a 1/2 cm oil puddle at the bottom of the dish. Really off-putting. Took ages to get our bill and pay despite being only one of two tables in the place. There are better places in Ringwood by a long way so wouldn’t return.

At the side of the Carey’s Manor hotel in Brockenhurst, welcome to France! Very friendly staff who gave impeccable service and delivered quality food. The decor is very much Parisian, the soup a L’oignon being the star of the show for me and my wife’s L’agnean main dish was sublime. Roll on when we return to the New Forest next year.

I think I can honestly say this was the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Small bits of fish, burnt chips all of which was swimming in grease, and also very expensive for what you get.
