Lazy polish cook refuses to cook fish fresh, he thinks fish he cooked 15 minutes earlier is fresh. I went to Rossis fish shop 5 minutes away and they cook fish FRESH. Obviously the chip shop isn't owned by the lazy Polish guy as he doesn't care about the customer.

I ordered from deliveroo but the chips were hard like as if they been cooked time and time again not impressed at all won't be using these.

It is taken away from the restaurant. It specialises in fish and chips which is quite good. I also tasted their sausages quite tasty too. If you are in the area, it is recommended

£3.50 for small portion of chips which was supposed to be a large portion, the small fish wasn'tenough for a toddler,thick dark bland gravey, when I complained, language barrier between myself and the proprietor and she did not want to know anything about my complaint. They've just lost a customer 😕

Worst chips I've had in years, like mush,soaked in grease absolutely terrible,used to be a great chippy,this was shocking as seen in pic

Used to a fab fish shop, not so good now.

The food was stunning and the portion size was much bigger than expected.

This is a great place to great a bite to eat, they are one of the few chip shops to offer contactless payments (Google Play and Apple Pay) the food is very good and the wait time is very short so there is nothing to complain about 😄

Supposed t9 be under new management, but pretty much the same as before. Mediocre at best. It would be nice to have a really decent chippy in Swansea. Paying more for triple fried crunchy chips, and bear battered fish with crunchy batter would be awesome. Its a shame we just have to same old, same old.

Just had a small fish and it was like a brick the batter was so hard must have been from yesterday and it was so dry threw it in the bin disgusting shouldn't be aloud to serve food like that

Had food for the full family and my full family have been spewing ever since absolutely fuming my 2 year old grandson poor boy never will any of my family eat from there again

My first visit here - really disappointed. The young assistant started wrapping my fish - which looked really nice, crispy, well cooked batter. The manager leaned over her and substituted this for another portion. Got home & realised why. This fish was covered in inch-thick half cooked batter which was inedible. Mean trick which won't happen again - won't be going there again. Nice chips though - 1 star for the chips!

Popped there a bit ago and everything was great, the chips and cod were a good quality and the person staffing when I went was absolutely ace! I would recommend them without fail!

Not Cod,tried twice asked if it was Cod but it clearly isn't. Very disappointed used to be nice.

The chips are mostly never fresh and have a lot of brown parts. The fishes I had where 2 different species despite only wanting cod. The blond woman is always grumpy and has an aura around her that she is annoyed with every person which enters the shop and can't be bothered with them. Last time said women was not wearing a face mask mask, despite having it done before and started eating her self-made pata salad the food preparation area.

The pies, sausages, and curry sauces are arguably tastier than the actual fish and chips themselves.

Chips were rank... fish and everything else was really nice.... when you have a chippy tea... the chips are very important.

Chips were good. But the size of a large fish wasn’t good enough and the cook quality was poor.!

Chips are perfect and good sized portions one large portion was enough for two adults and the cheese and onion Rissoles are great , good selection of products everything you expect from a good chippy .

One of the few proper fish and chip shops in the city centre area. I absolutely love the food from there and usually make sure I have one fish and chips dinner a week from there. Their batter is lovely.

Ordered over £40 worth of food and drinks for the family for the family food come with wrong drinks paid £7 for the drinks when I phoned them they tried palming me off with pathetic excuses wont be ordering from them again due to their bad customer service by not willing to solve the problem

Great value for money, well cooked fish and chips. regular Chip portion is huge. There is a good selection of sides including "Irish Curry Sauce" , whatever that is.

This has to be taken on the fact I only had the chips but so many places really don't cook them that well. These, however, were great chips. Well done them!

Walked in, only one person being served. No greeting and two staff casually discussed the guys order which took forever and at no point were we asked if we wanted anything put in the fryer. One member of staff when to get more fish to fry as the order was wrong. Why on earth didn't he ask us at that point. He kept going out the back. So we waited 10 minutes and knowing it would be another ten minutes to fry our food we walked out! As we dive off we noticed everyone behind us had walked out also 🙄

Lovely food friendly staff good parking

Visited today to put a large order in for our workplace. Really impressed with the service. Order placed for 50 people, food was ready on time and was still piping hot when we all tucked in. No mistakes at all which usually happens when placing a large order. I heard a lot of positive feedback from work colleagues - curry sauce described as the best they've ever had. Service really was great, they even went the extra mile and helped us get the food back to the office as we underestimated how many of us would be needed to carry it. No clue how they're currently averaging 3 stars. I'd rate it 6 if I could! Will definitely be ordering again in future.

Top quality fish and great staff

3x been there & that's it now, batter is distinctly sour, (consistently) and chewy, the fish is sold as cod but is haddock and incredibly thin, so much so that the tail-end is just flavoured batter, no fish at all to see !! I'm staying away in future

Great for a spot of lunch before heading off shopping, there is limited parking outside and waiting time is restricted to 30mins. Food was average nothing special but nothing bad either! If you park up make sure you face the roundabout its comical!

Genuinely lovely fish and chips, but I'm still not sure I'm used to chips shops in Swansea just using normal gravy instead of some thick, delicious chip shop magic gravy. Oddness, but very nice either way.

We often have chips with one thing or another from the Riverside Fish Bar. The food is always fresh and the quality and value are also good. I would certainly recommend it.

Food was nice but why have lots of items on your vegetarian menu but can't supply anything other than Cheese & Onion pasty. Disappointed

Horrible, One of the worst chip shops in the whole of the united kingdom if not the world. The chips taste like they have been siting under the lights for days! The cod was all batter and no fish!!! Will never ever return.!
