Rishi's Indian Aroma in Glasgow City

I ordered chicken tikka masala and naan online. The quality and taste was pathetic. The gravy was so watery that it had no flavours. The only taste i got was of added sugar in the gravy. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I paid £17 for 1 naan and chicken. Just not WORTH IT!

The vibe and interior of the place were quite appealing, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere. However, the experience was let down by the service. The food was just okay, but what really stood out—in a negative way—was the poor service. Orders took forever to arrive, and it felt like we were left to fend for ourselves as no one was available to attend to us. A disappointing experience despite the promising ambiance.

Brilliant food at a very reasonable price with good hospitable service. Got there early to wait for the rest of the party and very accommodating in providing a table. Will be back!

It's become routine and on the verge of being boring to visit. Change menu and ambience.

Finally a place where we can have a good South Indian food. Tried few dishes and the taste were amazing. We loved the food and service. Definitely recommended

Aunque predominantemente mostraba un restaurante del sur de la India, la comida del sur de la India no era buena! Kadhai paneer tenía hojas de curry y salsa rancia de color rojo intenso sin sabor, el queso chile naan quemó la garganta ya que había aplastado los chiles en lugar de los frescos. En general, una dosis de pollo de 3 / 10 tenía solo unos pocos trozos de pollo en el masala de patata. El té no llegó hasta el final. .

I visited this restaurant last weekend with my family, friends and their kids. The food was good, reasonably priced, and served quickly. However, the experience took a turn when the staff's attitude left us feeling uncomfortable. With four kids in our group, it’s natural they got restless after an hour. While we made sure they didn’t disrupt other diners, the staff repeatedly complained with visible irritation, which dampened our mood. We understand their concerns, but kids are kids not robots. Managing them isn’t always easy. It’s a request to treat all customers kindly especially families who come to enjoy their meal too.

We as a group went to have food over here and the food was straight up lethal. It was so spicy that it was barely ingest-able. The color of the noodles we had got itself bright red and even though we had let the waiter know before placing the order to not make the food spicy. The staff barely bothered to even check even after we had specified less spicy and all they wanted to do was make us pay for the meal even before we finished eating it.

Had dinner here recently , the food was so flavourful and felt like authentic taste, as I am vegetarian I felt like there are plenty of options for vegetarian people. Dosa, chhana bhatore was really good, however for paneer chilly , it was okay. The restaurant itself has a cozy vibe with lovely decor.

Rishi's Indian Roma is indeed warmly welcoming cuisine. Serving Staff were very caring and courteous. They were vigilant by alternative checking on us throughout our Meal. Incidentally we met the Chef who politely enquired about the quality of food. Truly, his food preparation & presentation was superb. Few days back, from a close friend, we came to learn about Rishi's Indian Roma's organic RiceFlour-made 'Dosa' Meal speciality. Excitingly, we had for the first time Dosa-orientated meal there on Sunday Evening (03 Nov). 'Dosa' varieties were wonderful and Platter inclusive of fried prawn, seafood, chicken & veg mixes was very tempting, mouthwatering, precisely marvellous. We thoroughly enjoyed every yummy piece of it. Rishi's Indian Roma is a cuisine to step MUST.

When I think of an authentic Indian place, Rishis always comes in my mind. This time went with my wife and we both loved it!!! Ot super tasty and fresh. Staff is always class and happy to be there Really recommend it

Biriyani quality was very bad But Dosa really yummy.

A great family atmosphere. The food there is halal and was absolutely delicious. Rishi's special and the mixed grill is a must try. The staff were pleasant and accommodating to our group requests as we had a variety of dietary restrictions. I would say if the service could be faster that would be great. Overall, i would love to go there again.

Below the average taste and '0' service manners. No body will come and ask if you need anything els. Food served without napkins. starter was served while i was in the restroom.. really? and restroom was stinking like train station toilets. I also ordered some food to takeaway and it came in an unsustainable bag like literally in fragile white bin liner seriously? And who puts a big chunks of onion and bell peppers in Lamb karaahi? Overly sweet gravy made me so disappointed. Never going back and will not recommend

Service good chicken lollipop delicious, but paneer is store bought not authentic chicken dosa had foul smell should use chicken fillet which costs more instead of scrapings of a chicken breast ,and please don't use mayonnaise for garnishing it make no sense

I recommend this restaurant for people who want Halal and delicious Indian food. My order was Prawn Masala with steamed rice. So amazing. I rate 3 stars for service coz I asked the waiter to make my dish little spicy but they make it little extra spicy more than the regular🥵

Thoroughly enjoy our weekly visits to Rishis. Chandar is always so welcoming and remembers our order of Medu Vadha and masala dosa and masala chai. The food is second to none in Glasgow. We have tried the same dishes elsewhere and they just don't compare. Thank you Chandra for always making our meal and visit special. Excellent value for money as well as taste.

Ansiosos por probar algo diferente, pedimos recomendaciones al servidor. Sugirió buena comida. Cada plato nos presentó nuevos sabores que nunca antes habíamos experimentado. Como estadounidenses, esta fue una experiencia verdaderamente única para nosotros. Agradecimiento especial al señor, que creemos que fue el gerente, por cuidarnos excelentemente. I think he is not suitable for that restaurant. As a customer we wish to have the food or not. Yesterday night I went rishi's.its a First time.I felt very happy.atmosphere , service and all very very good. I order some foods include lamb chukka .lamb chukka was so yummy. And customer service also very nice.i will give 5 star to Mr.jose and Mr.Chandran and one more girl.

This was a last minute booking for myself and partner . The food was incredible fast service & to top it all off our waitress Jithu looked after us incredibly well and was so friendly with a smile on her face the full time . Highly recommend . 👌💜

Really enjoyed our meal here and 3 of the 4 were South Asian. Both food and service were very good. There were plenty of other South Asian people eating there.

The worst experience, freezing cold chutney serving with masala dosa

We were at this hotel yesterday, food was not good at all. Chicken 65 buhari style, when ordered the 1st place was good, but when ordered for 2nd time it was very hard. Chicken kothu parotta was very bad no flavours. Schezwan noodles had raw chilli smell. Later it was replaced with chicken fried rice which was too much oily, egg smell. There wasn't even a proper apology. We used to come here regularly, but this time it was very disappointing.

Very bad service terrible service staff went with family on 6th of Aug 2024 at 8.17 no one came to take order till 9.06 came back without eating with kids very disappointed.Please check service reviews in trip advisor about service staff and service so many people had bad experience because of poor service.

Went on Tuesday the 6th of August 2024 at 8:17 pm. None of the staff member turned up till 9:06pm. When went to the manager to ask why no-one is attending us, he started making excuses. Restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Manager was very unprofessional and didn’t have a clue what was going on in the restaurant. Two other customers were also very upset who came after us. At the end we decided to leave because of terrible service. It was really bad, we should have read the other reviews on trip advisor before coming about very poor service.

Food was excellent, very tasty and large portions. Service was friendly but not fast, and we had to ask to place the order. Did feel we had been forgotten at times😔 Edinburgh Rishi's was a much better experience overall and we would happily return there but might not return to Glasgow

Had a horrible experience of most unprofessional service we waited 45 minutes before staff came to take our order and even after that didn’t even serve drinks for another 10 minutes restaurant wasn’t even busy as it’s weekday when spoke to on duty manager instead of apologising he was defensive and keep repeating that it’s only been 15 minutes we left without having dinner with kids after experiencing this unprofessional attitude of staff Staff needs training desperately Never going back there again Please check other reviews as well before planning to go I should have done that HORRIBLE SERVICE ‼️

Authentic South pizza Indian restaurant with north indian food options.

We came here to stay in Glasgow from London for 4 nights and we have come here 3-4 nights and came back to back because we couldn’t resist the comfort food! Amazing service , great hospitality and heartwarming staff! Everything from starters to deserts to drinks is top notch! Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian options are superb. . I would 10/10 recommend to everyone visiting Glasgow nearby!

Best Indian meal ever, definitely worth going to

My partner and I ordered a take away to be collected from Bath Street last evening. The bill came to £61.70 for a take away for 2 people. The menu online indicated it should be far less. The food itself was below standard. The Malabar fish curry had 5 pieces of fish in it. The sauce was watery and filled the whole container. It was £12.95. The tandoori mixed grill contained 1 king prawn, I chop, 1 kofte and 2 small chunks of chicken. It was £16.95. The peshwari nan was the best part of the order, although a very small offering compared to other similar restaurants. It was £4.45. The desserts which can only be described as small cubes were £4 to £7. A very disappointing experience and other than calling them directly to make a complaint, there is no other form of communication on their website or social media pages. Please avoid and use other nearby restaurants.

In Glasgow for a couple days and went for early dinner. Food was top notch and reasonably priced. The lamb korma was luscious and the meat tender. Enjoyed the masala dosa and the garlic naan. Our waitress was lovely. Would definitely go back for another meal.

Food is good. Service is very old style. The staff don't speak the best English and the vibe is very old school with minimal decor etc and not much atmosphere. Quite expensive for what it is. They would benefit from having some of the staff speak more English so people can ask questions about the menu. (I am also Indian just for reference).

Wonderful South Indian food at incredible prices

It was a very quiet time when we went there. The dosa we tried was okay, but the masala mixed with potato could have been slightly fresher. The service was very sloppy; we waited a long time after our starters. However, we really enjoyed their mango lassi, which was not too sweet.

Came for dinner twice now, had saag paneer the first time and the paneer butter masala the second which were both really great. The naan and mango lassi are fab too! My friend had the dosa which looked great. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant. Food is amazing, it’s like an art which they’ve mastered. I highly recommend. I am not Indian, but I love it!

Indian food is tasty and good quality. It's clean and ambience is 'desi'. I love both the North Indian and South Indian food here. It's our go-to place. Quite affordable and staff is friendly and polite. You can ask them to customize your dish like if you want a little spicy 'masaaledaar' food, you can ask them while placing the order. I have tasted almost all the vegetarian items on the menu and it's delicious.

We were excited to eat South Indian food as it's not readily available where we live. The restaurant has nice portraits on the wall and an interesting, albeit dim lighting scheme. The starter, gobi manchurian was tasty, maybe a bit too sweet. The dosas and utthapam were right on target, as were the sambhar and chutneys. Apparently this restaurant also serves a five foot long dosa that exceeds the length of the table (this must be an interesting sight). The service was a bit slow, but the food was made to order, so I was willing to compromise.

Most of the food dishes were ready to cook ones.

Manager was looking rude and was not helpful.

I always make it a point to visit Rishi's when I visit Glasgow. Madras masala dosa is the best you will get in the UK. The chutneys served with dosa and sambhar are fresh and tasty. Visit this place for authentic south Indian food and you won't be disappointed.

Foods always good. I keep asking what's in the chicken fried rice, it's so much better than anywhere else.

We had lunch from Rishi's Indian Aroma, ordering Kothu Porotta, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Chettinad Curry, Rice with Fish Curry, and Mango Lassi. Overall, both the food and service were good. If anyone is looking for an Indian restaurant in Glasgow, this one is worth a try.

Fantastic. We eat Indian food whenever and whenever we can and this is the best we've had. Tucked in so fast I didn't get a chance to snap photos. We three had several chicken dishes, garlic naan, a lamb dish and mango lassis and were impressed with all of it, including the service. I shall return.

We had ordered chicken dosa and it was a big disappointment. It was just 5 chucks of boiled chicken added to the potato masala. Both didn't reciprocate their taste as chicken was just boiled and masala didnt have chicken flavour. I would suggest to refrain from ordering chicken/ lamb dosa.. Rest of the food was ok.
