Recently, I visited Rishi's Indian Aroma first time which is in Glasgow city center. Ordered Masala dosa and Rogan Josh. The Masala Dosa was crisp and flavorful, reminding me of street vendors back home. The Chicken Rogan Josh was rich and aromatic, bursting with traditional spices. Each bite transported me to India, with its vibrant and authentic flavors. The restaurant's ambiance only enhanced the experience, making me feel like I was dining in the heart of India. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine in Glasgow.

Food was delicious as always but service is getting worse I would say. We went there around 5.30 and rest had few tables. One of us was finished our meal and another was still eating and the waiter chandra came on our table start clearing my plate and said to my friend who was still having his meal ( can u hold the bowl in ur hand while eating so he can take the plate away) How ridiculous, u are asking customer to hold bowl in hand and so desperate to clear the table.. I would recommend this place only for food but don't expect any service ☹️

Great place for South Indian food. The dosas are giant and great value for many, although I’m sure they have gotten smaller over the years. Still excellent. Service quick and professional. A good spot for a quick, reasonably priced lunch.

Have had good experience from here in the past but last time I was there- it was four of us My friend ordered paneer dosa and waitress brought onion dosa When my friend called the waitress and informed her that she had brought the wrong dosa- she got quite aggressive and started speaking to him rudely and pointed her finger at my friend multiple times. She went back to the main desk grabbed her notepad to show the onion dosa written on it- we tried telling her she heard wrong because the 3 other people at the table clearly heard my friend order paneer dosa There was no need to be rude and point her finger at my friend multiple times Ruined the entire mood before we could even get started with our mains Food was below average is well- not sure if they had a change of chef Won't be back

Famous for serving tasty authentic South Indian food. So much so that it is busy even on a Monday lunchtime. If you have been there once, you will visit them again. Personally, thoroughly enjoyed the jumbo lamb dosa. The sweet lassi was a little too sweet though. And the Ambience would do well with an uplift.

We were in Glasgow last week and decided to stop by at Rishi’s, mainly because it was close to our hotel. We had just flown in from the US and were tired and jet lagged. We just wanted a cup of tea and some snacks. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice and helpful the owner was. He saw that we were not familiar with the menu and even helped us pick what to order. The best surprise was the food. We got the medu vada and samosa chaat accompanied by steaming hot cups of ginger tea, and everything was delicious. We were so happy with the food that we decided to go back for dinner. Dinner time was busier, which speaks of the popularity of the place. Despite this, the staff was professional, attentive and extremely friendly. This time we ordered the mixed tandoori platter which came with grilled lamb chops, grilled prawns, sheesh kabab and grilled chicken along with some drinks. We were blown away by how delicious everything was. Each meat was cooked to perfection and flavored just right. The rice was aromatic and flavorful. Was also very impressed with the service and professionalism of the two young ladies that helped us- Sangavi and Jitu. Their friendly and helpful attitude made our first day in Scotland even more special.

We traveled through Scotland for 2 weeks, dining in some Michelin star restaurants as well as your normal day to day eateries. We stayed in Glasgow, and we wanted to have some curry. The receptionist at our hotel recommended Rishi’s Indian Aroma. We didn’t know what we were in for! We were greeted very professionally, and felt right at home. We ordered a Masala Dosa (a first for us) to share as a starter and we were BLOWN away! It was the best plate of food we had our whole stay so far in Scotland. Then came the mains. I had butter chicken with coconut rice and a garlic naan. Husband had a mixed biryani. Let me tell you… in ALL my years of Traveling abroad and eating curries across the globe… this was the BEST BEST butter chicken, rice and Naan I have ever had!! The naan was light like a cloud and so so flavourful. The butter chicken was silky, SUPER aromatic and honestly the best I have had in my life. I would literally fly to Scotland JUST for this dish! The biryani was equally as good, and my husband who is a big conversationalist during dinner, didn’t say a word, it was that good! 100/10 for this meal!! And we are picky eaters… so trust me, if you want the best curry you ever tasted, head on over to Rishi’s Indian Aroma restaurant.

It was our first meal since we got to Glasgow. This place was highly recommended by my husband and MIL when they were here a few weeks ago. When they returned to Toronto they both raved it was the best Indian food they’ve ever had. The food did not disappoint at all but they did not mention how amazing the staff was as well. Our waitress (sorry I forgot her name), was patient to clarify a few things and was so super friendly. We had a nice conversation with the manager. When we got back to the hotel and referred to the receipt for the name of the amazing dish we had, to find out we got charged the beer we accidentally spilled majority of it (clumsy us) was going to be removed off the bill which we were really appreciative of but it was not. Then there was a mix up with the ice cream with the dessert. My son was given a scoop of ice cream which we first thought it came separately from the dessert but to find out later it was more complementary. When we got the dessert with the ice cream, it was two full scoops and the manager thought we had received it already and was about to take it away so we said we’ll keep it and offered to have it charged but the manager said not to worry about it. On the bill we were charged for two full servings. The amounts were nominal and it’s on us for not reviewing the bill at the moment but we were in such food bliss we overlooked it. Other than that, it would absolutely not deter us from going back to enjoy another feast. If we could give it a 9 out 5 stars, we would.

I recently dined at Rishi's Indian Aroma in Glasgow and tried the paneer dosa and chicken kothu porotta. The paneer dosa was quite good, with a crispy texture, but the chicken kothu porotta didn't meet my expectations. Personally, I found the kothu porotta at Rishi in Stirling to be better in taste. I would rate my experience 3/5. One disappointing aspect was that my dosa was initially placed on another table, and by the time the manager realized and informed the waiter, another customer had already started picking at it. The waiter then took the dosa from that table and placed it on ours without changing it, which felt rather insulting. Customer treating was 3/10.

We have eaten at Rishi's dozens of times over the past few years and it has always been a brilliant experience. Great simple food that reminded us of our time in India, competitive pricing and good service. We were there just three months ago and had a wonderful meal that was exactly how we always remembered it. Sadly we recently visited with friends and it had changed a lot since then, and definitely not for the better. The menu was smaller, the Rishi's special starter platter was much smaller than it used to be. The lemon soda was not fresh as it always was - it used to be soda with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar in it - this was definitely pre-made out of a bottle. The chick pea salad came in a synthetic sauce when it used to be homemade and much tastier. You could only order a trio of deserts when before you could order just what you wanted. The service was also not very good - some of the staff were helpful but some of them were constantly clearing away plates when some of us were still eating - possibly because the restaurant was the quietest I have ever seen it. It all seemed over-complicated, over-fancy and not all freshly cooked. For years Rishi's has been our favourite Indian place to eat in Glasgow - we loved the authentic food, the simple presentation, the fact that everything tasted fresh and NOT from a jar. Please don't spoil a great thing by becoming too fancy and like all the other India places in Glasgow :(

This is a proper Indian Restaurant and not any Bangladeshi guy running it and calling themselves Indian. South Indians - Trying this place out - You are in for a treat - Highly recommend

10 out of 10. luckily we found this place and what great food they do. I have had such great Indian meals in my time but this place is up there I definitely recommend it. Probably not great for wheelchairs or prams as there are some steps into the restaurant.
