Absolutely amazing service and food,was here with a disabled lady and the staff went above and beyond to help her and made her feel welcome thanks to each and every one of you.

A small gem of a Chinese restaurant. We were lucky to get a table when we went in mid afternoon on a Saturday.we both had spring rolls for starters which were delivered in less than 5 minutes and they were amazing.I had the Chile chicken, my wife had beef in black bean.Then we both had banana fritters for dessert.The meal was amazing,very reasonably priced and the service was great.We have booked ourselves in for the Valantines day Tapas which is a wee bit more expensive, but the food is unlimited......One of the very best Chinese restaurants I've been in anywhere.

Had unlimited tapas menu ….. the food is flavoursome, though some beef was very chewy. The Malaysian rice , garlic mushrooms, salty chilli chicken & chicken satay dishes were my highlight .

Great Customer Service excellent food.

Visited here on a Sunday night and the restaurant was busy so best to book in advance. Served quickly with drinks and food. Unlimited Chinese tapas with around 25 options to choose from. The plates are small but thats ok as you can order as many as you like and try as many as you can fit in. Staff always coming round to ask if you would like to order more. Definitely worth a try. Service and food great.

Have used Ichai for a couple of years and food has been excellent, went for a takeaway tonight, the peking ribs were terrible, followed by Sweet and Sour Chicken with fried rice, rice was stodgy, chicken normally has a crisp batter this time soggy, worst meal I have had from any Chinese takeaway

Food was amazing. We went for teatime menu, 3 courses for £20. Portions were generous, with good menu choices and food excellent. Service also excellent and staff are lovely. Will definitely be back.

Food was very nice. Servers were all very nice. Only negative is the price, its £22.50 per head for the buffet and chips are not included. However, the food is good, especially chicken black bean sauce, salt n chilli chicken and Crispy shredded chicken.

My second time there and The Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Fried Rice & the Cheesecake was delicious

A fantastic Chinese restaurant in the heart of Anniesland! If you are not local it’s well worth a visit. Great value set menu as well. Good portion sizes. Really friendly staff, especially the older gentleman who always has a smile on his face! Will be back.

Ordered a carry out which was delivered quickly which was the only good thing about the meal. Beef chow was totally tasteless, chicken fried rice not much better and chicken balls were doughy with tiniest bit of chicken in them. Three quarters of everything went in the bin!! Totally unimpressed. Won’t be ordering from there again.

Went on a Wednesday evening for the unlimited tapas. Dishes are mostly slightly smaller than standard tapas but that means you can try a bigger range of dishes. As a couple we had 12 dishes between us and at a fixed price it's really good value. Food was very good. Great if you like Chinese food. Even better if you're experimenting with it.

Plenty hype about this place so we tried it service first off was really good. The idea of chinese tapas is really good if you want to sample something different. There is many nice dishes but definitely recommend the satay chicken and especially the salt chilli chip's I would recommend a visit it's something different and staff are very friendly. We had a baby with us so word of caution there is no baby changing room

Small portions from the start to the end overpriced and very rushed there’s a lot better so move on the somewhere else and even get service with a smile

We popped down to I chai at lunch time on our anniversary as we were not getting a chance to celebrate as we had a lot of stuff going on that day, I had been recommended Ichai previously and told that the food was delicious and the service was really fast too so it was a pretty quick meal but I was so impressed. Looking forward to returning again after their refurb.

Ordered from here last night food was terrible the chicken curry and king prawn chop suey was so watery and tasteless and half a bag of prawn crackers was poor for the money won't be ordering from here again i gave it 1 star for the fried rice. 😟😟

The staff were very descent and polite and extremely helpful. We asked first if they serve Halal food and the nice man at the entrance was sooo honest about what they can offer in terms of Halal dishes. He even asked the chef to change the frying oil that is normally used for non Halal stuff. The foot was delicious and the restaurant was very clean and quiet . I would highly recommend it !

Tapas was brilliant but you need to book as it is so busy.

Entered the restaurant to be greeted by a man ( bald ) who I believe to be the manager. I was told our booking wasn’t there. I drove 40 mins to visit the restaurant. No apology no attempt to try to get me a table. I asked so what can you do to accommodate me I’ve just driven a long way to come here. He shrugged his shoulders and said not my problem. Stinking attitude and if that’s how they treat customers I can’t imagine they get much repeat business. The man on the door needs to learn some people skills. If he doesn’t like his job then I suggests he finds a new career

We visited for the Chinese tapas with a family of four. Had seen social media posts and thought we’d give it a go! We weren’t disappointed!! Service was quick and a huge choice of options. We ordered 2-3 things each each time, and the staff were quick to check in regularly to see if we wanted any more! We ended up with 32 dishes between 4 of us - all polished off!! That’s hungry teenagers for you!! Highlights for me were the honey wings, the ribs, beef in black bean, and the curry. But all delicious!! Drinks are pretty expensive but i appreciate that’s how they’ll make the profit! It was mobbed on a Wednesday night so I’d say book early!! We’ll be back!

Pathetic. I was looking forward to this on the 25th. I ate from here, once before. At least over a year ago, and the food was great. This time, terrible. Honestly. Not enough chicken, nothing like it, in the Sweet And Sour Hong Kong style. Mostly just nearly raw onion and some peppers and about 3 bits of pineapple, in a really watery and mostly tasteless sauce. Plus points where great service and timely. Also, the veggie spring roll portion size was great, even if it didn't come with any sauce to dip. The price, for what the main was, in the end, was just not acceptable and the quality was well bad. They are off my list of the foreseeable, and I just live around the corner. That's rather annoying. The picture you can see all of the chicken. And that's on a bed of rice. And the vast majority of the veg didn't make it to the plate.

I had Christmas Day dinner at IChai tonight with my family. The food was great (all 3 courses) and the service ran like clock-work in a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and excellent service

Lovely little restaurant, 17 of us booked for dinner here and some had off normal menu and some chose tapas. All food was amazing! Every single person enjoyed their food. I had tapas and it was really good, curry, chow mein, and ribs where really nice. The seaweed is the best I have tried.

Went for the Tapas night. Food was top-notch! Very quick to serve and food came out in no time. All dishes were really nice but the Beef & Mango with Peking Sauce was my absolute favourite. Already booked to go back twice in the next month.

We got a delivery tonight and have to say that the king prawn curry and sweet and sour king prawn were absolutely superb. We try and use businesses close by and having had a poor experience recently with our usual choice of Chinese food we reverted to getting another delivery from here and give it top marks.

Wonderful food and lovely staff. The Dim Sum was delicious as was the chicken with garlic, wine and ginger.

Scored one star as our meal was binned in the Morrisons Carpark bins as this “restaurant” are unable to provide any cutlery for takeaway orders. No good for people staying in hotels nearby. No good to us - won’t be back.

Whole time there spent waving away fruit flies .tapas was good until chicken curry which was a mixture of soft chicken and lumps of hard chicken. Been there a few times and food has been good but between this and the flies means we won't be back. Would be good if they could have the spiders webs on ceiling cleaned away

Chicken satay, chicken chow mein, fried rice, chips, black bean sauce. Chicken satay very disappointing. Have had this so many times before but well off the mark tonight. Dried out. Too much msg, tell-tale throat feeling. The prices here are just about acceptable if the food is good, but it wasn't tonight. Disappointed.

Visited for lunch and was very disappointed very small and cramped, tables close together. chose meat spring rolls for starter not much meat mainly bean sprouts for main meal chose sweet and sour chicken and chicken curry . Sweet and Sour chicken very few pieces of chicken mainly peppers and onions chicken curry very watery sauce few pieces of chicken again mainly onions rice was nice . No one asked if we enjoyed our food did say to waitress disappointed wasn’t interested only interested in quickly getting bill paid won’t be back.

Wow I usaly don't eat Chinese because either the chips are soggy & to salty in sauce 2 spicy only issue I had was not receiving prawn crackers usaly if you spend of £10-15 so that's my only faulty about this restraunt the food was roasting hot the chips were livly salted & vinegar the chips were nice & crispy the chicken fried rice was freshly cooked and the bbq ribs were to die for even my nearly 4year old daughter managed to enjoy eating it with the same will be ordering again and have recommended all ready

This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to,the food is delicious and the vegetables spring rolls are amazing. The staff are very helpful and pleasant,and the kitchen staff work very hard to serve their delicious food, I would never go anywhere else.

Ordered delivery salt and chilli king prawns and the food was... inhumanly salty. Like 3-4 table spoons of salt dropped on each prawn. One could feel the salt sitting on each prawn... Similar to chips and chicken. Otherwise food was OK, but impossible to eat due to the quantity of salt. Very disappointing.

Went here tonight (Monday) for the tapas menu. It’s been 2 hrs since we left and we’re still full and raving about how delicious it was. Colin and Hannah were our servers and couldn’t have been more professional, polite and well mannered. Colin even surprised me with a dish when I couldn’t make my own mind up. There were a few tables full and the atmosphere was lovely. I think most people were having the tapas menu which was £18.90 each and unlimited although only ordering 3 at a time to save it getting cold and to save on food wastage. 3 of us left absolutely stuffed and with a drink each and 2 massive portions of chips we were only £70 compliments to the chefs

I use to really love the food at Ichai but I feel that the food and customer service has gone downhill recently. I have ordered takeaways and sat in the restaurant. I feel that the food is much better quality when you sit in the restaurant. With takeaways, there has been several times where I have ordered vegetarian food and they have sent food with meat in it. When contacted about this on phone, they either ask you to come back to get the correct item (however I am already home and too far away to travel back) or they just ignore your messages on Facebook. The correct items that I have received in my takeaways recently are not the same quality or standard as they use to be. This use to be my favourite restaurant and takeaway but I think I will be avoiding in future.

I entered the restaurant to ask for a takeaway as it states on their website they do ‘takeaways’ however I was greeted by a very unhappy gentleman who clearly did not want to be there who stated ‘We don’t do takeaways, try down the road!’. I appreciate if the restaurant do not offer walk in takeaways, however the staff could inform customers that they can simply order online to collect rather than turn people away!. Clearly, some of your staff need some customer service training.

I was really looking forward to trying the restaurant since I use the takeaway on a regular basis. However, it was okay. I’m not disappointed but feel let down. It was extremely pricey and definitely overpriced for the quantity and quality received. Rice comes in a small bowl and is just not enough. I was expecting something a bit more special than we got. The wine list is good. Sadly I won’t return to the restaurant but I will continue using the takeaway as the food is so much nicer!

Nice food but please 🙏 .. the heat of the Satay sauce is just far too hot 🔥 which means you cannot taste the nice peanut sauce. Dial the heat down a bit because you actually lose the peanut taste with all that heat! Burnt my mouth unfortunately which is really unpleasant.

First and last time order. Incorrect item delivered so called to advise, thinking they’d just sent the correct item and problem solved. Was told as it was their fault, they’d credit the missing item against our next order.. I said the missing item was fried rice which we ordered to accompany our main, so that wasn’t an acceptable solution. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, was advised the entire order could be uplifted and refunded. Asked why they couldn’t just deliver the fried rice and was told i’d need to speak to a supervisor. Long and short; was told to leave the untouched incorrect item on doorstep (which we duly did) and they’d replace it with fried rice. No apology, no suggestion to keep the incorrect item for the inconvenience, no offer to refund the missing item. Just made to feel like we were being a nuisance, when we simply wanted the food we ordered. Ichai; we appreciate mistakes happen, but in our experience you’ve a lot to learn about customer care. Verdict; when we were finally able to eat, the food was barely warm and distinctly average, so unfortunately won’t be ordering again.
