Ripe Kitchen in Camden

Good people who do very lovely things. I was with my dog on promise hill, and he suffered an injury in the rain. I carried him to Ripe Kitchen who gave him water and love; and gave me a free coffee whilst they googled the nearest vet, Happy to say my dog is fine (he in renowned for drama of Oscar - worthy performances). I just returned to Ripe Kitchen today to formally become a regular customer. The staff are simply so kind.

Delightful cakes, also gluten free and savoury sandwiches. Very good and relaxing position.

Ripe Kitchen is a great spot for light bites, especially for their toppings on toast like avocado or mushrooms with cheese. It's simple food but done exceptionally well. We opted to sit outside on the street, which is perfect for people-watching. Although our order took a while, they kindly offered us complimentary drinks.

Just wanna say how much I love the unpretentiousness. Coming from the Rotterdam cafe culture, it was refreshing to be in a cafe at home

Been a few times for coffee and brunch and would recommend.

We went there on Saturday. Sunny day, we took a seat outside. Having waited 15 minutes without being spoken to by the waitress serving customers at the table, I entered the cafe and asked if they would take orders at the tables. I was told that orders were available at the counter only. “You need to order inside” .No menus were offered, I paid for 4 coffees and was given a number to take to the table with me. The coffees came quickly, but the waitress spilled 1/2 of my wife’s macchiato on the saucer as she slammed the cup on the table. No acknowledgement and no apology. No offer to replace the coffe. The three espressos were simply awful. We did not drink them but my wife did drink her 1/2 macchiato left. Some time later, my wife asked to use the rest room, and she was reluctantly allowed as the staff said that there were about to close. My friend was not allowed to use the gents by the time my wife and his had used the facility. Awful service, awful coffee and zero customer service skills. Good luck for your business.

We ordered scrambled eggs on toast, poached eggs on toast and a savoury pastry from the counter. One of our table was served within ten minutes and It took nearly 45 min to get our other order after reminding staff a couple of times. When it finally came it wasn’t even the full order, they just brought out the pastry. Do they expect people to eat separately and the other just stares?

Must have had a bad day for coffee. Your grinder definitely needs adjusting.

Very good lunch! Me and my daughter enjoyed the avo smash sandwich and spinach feta roll. Also the berry blaster was nice. Chairs were not that comfy, but for the rest we recommend this place after a stroll on Primrose Hill.

Sadly I live too far away so can’t visit regularly. Nevertheless whenever I come to the area I always pop in for my dose of caffeine. Their coffee is consistently excellent and the staff are very nice too. On my last visit I was served by a tall & broad shoulders guy and my long black was brewed by a barista wearing carhartt barista apron), both of them very very friendly indeed. Looking forward to my next visit !

A really good cafe. I went with my girlfriend and the food was perfect. But the service was even better, the barista made great coffee, he was also very kind and talkative. And i'm sure we'll be back soon

Pleasant excellent time in Primrose Hill, visited my ex’s area and came across this unique atmospherical structure placed on an excellently freshly done pavement. Loved it. Seating was interesting exceeded my expectations. The mocha choca blocka wocka hottie wocokte served by beautiful customer service 💖💖💖💖 blonde ♥️♥️♥️♥️ 😍😍😍 more yayyy‼️‼️‼️‼️

Poor customer service (made it overly difficult to get money back after paying for a toastie they had run out of). Coffee very average and lukewarm. Toasties and brownie good to be fair

A really great cafe, and a special shout-out to Erica who is extremely friendly and always positive for when I’m grabbing my coffee! The team / cafe is the best and I’m so lucky to live next door!

Rip-off Kitchen; £3.4 for a small take away latte

Overpriced, ordered a chai tea latte that was tiny and just tasted of hot milk with barely a hint of flavour.

Had a delightful experience at Ripe Kitchen in Primrose Hill. The coffee was top-notch, and the focaccia with chicken was notably tasty, making the overall experience a solid 4.1/5. I'd definitely recommend it for a relaxed Sunday breakfast. Hope you can secure a table outside :)

Love this place. Pastries are top notch with a proper Bakewell Tart. Service is friendly and quick.

Came here for a quick sandwich, really nice. Staff were very hospitable with my pickiness for certain fillings. Place has a nice atmosphere on a very sunny day.

Hey guys, many years ago, while living in London, I had few times your sweet potato cake, which I can't stop thinking of. Is there any chance you could tell me what were the other ingredients of it? You were selling it in rectangular slices, let's say 2-inch x 6-inch and they were just peerfeeect!

Sunday brunch. Very popular but swift service. Excellent drinks and food. A must if you are in the area.

The BEST coffee around, live nearby and this has been my go to place for coffee for quite a while now. Recently tried the food and also very nice, do pop in if you’re around. Not much space inside, more of a takeaway/good weather kind of place, everyone is always lovely and welcoming! Dog and child friendly, in fact, people friendly in general :)

It’s an adorable cute cafe! Had their avocado toast with feta cheese and it’s delicious to say the least!

The place is very cosy and situated in a lovely area and it was quite busy. The place is quite small but has outside space and customers dont mind to share spaces. The service was good. I have a bruscheta and was very good, also the coffee was great.

Coffee was good, but food took 40 min’ to arrive, came for brunch, almost left in time for supper. If they can’t take so many orders, they should have less tables.

Very bad experience- the chai lattes were appalling - tasted very strange. We poured away most of our takeaway drinks but still my friend was sick shortly after. Will not be returning!

Not inviting or welcoming, we couldn’t bear their attitude and had found another place with welcoming smiles and much better environment.

Ridiculous staff. So unwelcoming. We arrived as a party of 3, non busy hours, they are not full and there are tables inside. But the lady who greeted us said, ‘it is a table for 4, you can sit at the bar’

Delicious breakfast and superb coffee. Staff were friendly and accommodating when I wanted to modify my order.

I was a bit disappointed. First, they ran out of croissants, and it was just after 8. I had pain au chocolat and it was somewhat dry. I was still hungry so I had the granola square , which was better. Service wasn't very warm, at least towards me. It's an all-right place, but I won't be rushing back.

we arrived to the cafe with an unwelcoming approach, which was followed by an agressive ‘what would you like?’ he then proceeded to pressurise us giving him a tip although i only had 15 pounds in my wallet which rinsed out all my money. later we waited for at least 15 mins for two drink and an already made brownie not to mention the price of these. the wait would have been acceptable if it tasted good.The chai latte was basically luke warm milk

Probably the strangest review I’ll have to write…the food was excellent, the staff not quite so much. The only way I can describe it is that they came across that you were inconveniencing them by being there. It’s also pretty appalling not to acknowledge a customer when they thank you for something.

Thought I would try this place for the first time as opposed to the regular sweet things, Anthony’s and Joe’s establishments. Unbelievably rude experience. Ordered a takeout sandwich, didn’t realise there was a tip option as I tried to pay contactless, which the lady pointed out. Upon clicking not to tip, immediately the two servers snickered and laughed - told me to come back in 10 minutes. I am very aware of tipping culture and I tip fairly but as this was a take out and my first time I was holding back, and THANKFULLY I did because to receive that response was infuriating. Coming back to receive the sandwich I was waiting patiently in line and I get handed the sandwich “here” in a cold tone from the same lady. I am against leaving negative reviews because I myself work in the industry. I would not leave a bad review for just a sandwich, that was not the best, dry and the focaccia bread was lacking any resemblance to actual focaccia - more like a hard sourdough. Safe to say I will not be returning and I would recommend a better attitude when delivering unsatisfactory food. May help a customer leaving you guys with such an overall bad experience. ✌️

Loved this find for brunch in the charming, quiet neighborhood of Primrose Hill. My husband chose smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough (very generous portion), and I had classic avocado (great value). Enjoyed the latte too. Great find, and charming cafe.

Had the mushroom on toast and flat white, both great! Not a lot of cakes but it might have just been the time :)

The worst coffee I ever had. Espresso should never taste sour. The toilet was very dirty. This was very disappointing at Primrose Hill area.

Adore Ripe Kitchen, they just get everything right. Amazing staff, great pastry and breakfast. Green tea with a little sand timer so you know when its ready to drink ... what a touch. Also great music and dog friendly. The best :-)

Decent sandwich but took far too long to make them. Shouldn’t take 30 mins to put together a few things in between some bread. Considering the kitchen’s space constraints and high volume of coffee orders, Ripe Kitchen is not structured to be offering customizable sandwiches. Instead they should either only offer the pre-made sandwich options or perhaps not offer food at all, and just focus on coffee. Best of luck to Ripe Kitchen, with some improvement they could be an outstanding local shop

Best coffee in London. You can grab your cup of coffee and walk to the closest park and enjoy it. Staff is outstanding. Thank you. Edit : 3 years later from first visit … no idea what happened to this coffee shop. Travel a cross London we just found almost empty counter at 11am on Sunday.

Terrible service from 1 specific man.

Came with my family to get a drink and a sandwich and the service was appalling. They got our order wrong three times and in the end we just had to accept the wrong order.

Scrambled eggs so under-cooked it’s inedible. I felt sick all the way home. Also why is the smoothie warm? Ugh. Not returning.

Chill atmosphere, good brunch and tasty drinks (specially the smoothies). Great for breakfast/brunch, with nice seats outside as well.

Dog friendly - such a plus. Tried the banana nut smoothie which was delicious. They had a variety of milks and the coffee was hot & delicious tasting. (Ordered x2 flat whites). I would defo return here.

Fantastic muffins and the hot chocolate is delicious. Nice outside seating and really impressed. Highly recommended.

I have been let down too many times by this place. The coffee used to be great but the coffee and service has plummeted. We ordered Americano and a decaf latte and served up a Cappuccino and Decaf latte. They re-made the Americano in 30 seconds and you just new it was too fast. sat down to drink it and it was undrinkable. I couldn't be bothered to take it back but promised myself that this was the last time. I have visited many times and this has happened again and again.

Good coffee, good vibe and good service

Unfortunately not worth the price. One slice of toasted sourdough with scrambled eggs and tiny pieces of chorizo (which may as well have been ham) alongside a dollop of mediocre avocado - setting you aside a whopping £10. Very good fresh orange juice though. May only be worth going for coffee/tea/drinks and some pastries or cake. Not worth it for brunch.

I have been coming to Ripe for years and without a doubt they have always nailed the coffee! The food is homemade and delicious too . Gluten free options are always available. They are also the only coffee place I know that can make a delicious almond milk cappuccino and I have tried a few in my time. This place is perfect for an informal business meeting, friendly catch up or just to sit and read a book in for hours. They are also quick which is really important to me. The people that work here and the manager are so friendly and warm and have a positive attitude which is so refreshing. Primrose Hill wouldn’t be the same without this gem. Thanks to the team for all my amazing coffees through lockdown.

Have the chicken/mozzarella sandwich for £6. Really boring and very average. Lemon cake which was really soggy. Cheap tasting coffee. Would be okay if half the price. Disappointing food but staff were nice.

I tried for the first time today, the coffee was very watery and was served in a very small cup, it was more expensive than the average coffee price and I got a cold and watery coffee, will not go back there.

I dont usually leave reviews but this was a horrible experience. I ordered a Chai Latte that was the worse I have ever had. Extremely watery and no flavor whatsoever for GBP 4.00. Also the service is quite rude making “jokes” at the expense of customers. Will never return.

I never post reviews but I went here with 2 friends today and we all had a bad experience so it felt right to give feedback. I ordered poached eggs with avocado, sourdough and ‘prosciutto cotto’ and a Green smoothie, my friends ordered the same but without the ham. The whole thing was tasteless. The smoothy tasted watery and vegetabley and had no zing to it but cost £5. The bread and weirdly the eggs were tasteless and I was given sliced ham instead of prosciutto for a dish that was £9.50. My friends said the only thing that was good was the coffee. Wouldn’t recommend. I would have complained had we not all been cold and hungry.

Just brilliant.. a "Provence Vibe" runs through the street. Plenty of indie shops and bars that are just delightful to watch and discover. Specifically this little place caught my attention and then made me very happy with a fabulous salmon bagel and an excellent smoothie. Recommended, very 👍

Life changing peppermint brownie! Coffees are great bit a tad on the small size so order up.

A perfectly nice spot to stop for a coffee, cake or brunchy bite with gluten free options. The only Matcha offered was a little unique with ginger and mango - interesting flavours but I'd prefer a regular brew.

2019 update: prices have gone up, quality has not. My partner had 2 scrambled eggs, 1 piece of toast, and a tin of salmon £9.50 2/5. I had a Mexican chicken bun (with no flavour) £5.50 2/5. 2017: Good sandwich and hot chocolate. Strange tea. The place is actually very nice and relaxed, but the crowd can be a bit uppity and posh. If it was anywhere but primrose hill it would be a great hang out spot.

I have been a couple of times now and can recommend this great Artisan Cafe with tasty fresh home cooked food; much of it with a Mediterranean flavour. Good coffee too!

Been here for lunch and coffee. Their quiches (especially warmed up!) and salads are always tasty. The fresh orange juice is amazing! Friendly staff and trendy atmosphere.

Entré a tomar un café con un colega. Ambiente encantador con un personal amable y mi avena blanca plana fue perfecta. Asientos interiores encantadores, pero nos sentamos en la parte delantera de la cafetería para disfrutar del sol en la calle principal. Mi colega disfrutó muchísimo su 'Love Brownie' y su té helado. Gran variedad de productos para un café tan pequeño, y el brunch también parecía atractivo.

Visité la cocina madura el jueves 18 y el viernes 19 de julio.El viernes hice una infusión de pollo y hierbas. Después de esperar 15 minutos, dos personas que habían venido al menos 5 minutos después de mí, me habían dado su toastie y yo me quedé esperando (esto no fue un error, las damas que trabajaban eran claramente amigas del caballero que tomó la toastie antes que la mía). ). Cuando pregunté dónde estaba el mío, me encontré con un corte muy "sí, ya viene". 20 minutos después, cuando me entregaron el sándwich, le pregunté a la dama cómo había pasado el caballero por toda la línea a la que se encogió de hombros. Luego le expliqué que lo mismo había ocurrido el día anterior (esperé 20 minutos, mientras se habían desmayado todos los sándwiches y luego tuvo que hacer el mío desde el principio) a lo que ella se disculpó. Le dije que apreciaba la disculpa y le di las gracias.Acababa de salir de la tienda (sí, estaba de espaldas a ella) y me dijo en voz alta "pipa abajo". Me di la vuelta y me dirigí a esto con ella, lo que obviamente ella negó afirmando que había dicho "él intervino primero". Sé exactamente lo que escuché ... . Mi espalda estaba vuelta, mis oídos seguían trabajando.Este no es el comportamiento ni el nivel de servicio al cliente que esperaría de un miembro del personal de su establecimiento. Si bien no espero ninguna compensación ni siquiera una disculpa, creo que deberían saber que así es como se habla a sus clientes.DOS ESTRELLAS ya que la comida es buena. . . pero basico . . ¡pero bueno!

This is a really friendly and cosy coffee shop on the main high street of Primrose Hill. The coffee is sourced from The Barn in Berlin, which is certainly excellent coffee. There is plenty of natural light in the room, which gives the feeling of a very spacious atmosphere. Service is generally prompt. The cakes and pastries are also very good and I would particularly recommend the energy balls. Prices are commensurate for the area whilst not being too extortionate! I would very much recommend this place.

This cafe/restaurant has a great location but the service was ok. Not much to say about this place really!

El tamaño de las porciones era pequeño, especialmente por el precio. Los buñuelos de Halloumi no eran como se esperaba y parecían faltar en el halloumi, aunque tenían buen sabor. La tostada francesa estaba seca, pero venía con muchos coulis que lo compensaban. El servicio fue poco acogedor y arruinó el ánimo; Nos sentimos apurados cuando salimos de la cafetería.

Popped in here for brunch after walking by and noticing the place was busy. Coffees (americano and cappuccino) were great and came quickly. Had the chorizo eggs and avocado spread on toast - absolutely fantastic. Simple, affordable and fresh. Highly recommend!

Probably one of my favorite Cafés in all of London. Perfect flat white with a laid back atmosphere!
