Rio’s Piri Piri Alum Rock in Birmingham

To be honest I wasn’t sure about this rio but I was wrong the food is banging strong 9 out of 10 I’m impressed

Food was cold and they gave us 1 drink short

Ordered 2 meals with large fries. Got sent 2 small fries in 2 large fries bags. Doesn’t even fill the bag halfway! These large fries are sold for £2.99 individually, it’s crazy that that’s all Rio’s has out in the bag. Also my cold drinks were sent in the same bag as my food.. doesn’t make sense because the drinks cooking down my food! It’s a shame because the food tastes great. Just disappointed that I didn’t get my moneys worth!

my food was delivered had 2 items missing

not impressed at all, this was beyond late, been waiting since 7pm and it arrived at 9.20 even though it was ordered at 6.20pm. 3 full hours of waiting when the promised time was 7.20. this is beyond unacceptable and we expect reparations.

Didn’t receive loaded chips with order.

absolutely discusting quality of chicken is horrible very brown chicken breast meat. chips full of Peri salt but not in a good way. corn on the cob was like eating play doh we couldn't eat any of the food and had to throw it all away. thanks alot for your rubbish service and food. don't even bother wasting your time and money.

Paid for delivery & was more than an hour late

No words to describe the horrendous customer service received from this takeaway. We ordered at 4pm for 6pm and waited till 7:30pm for the food to arrive. Contacted the takeaway and they didn’t answer. Over 20 calls. No courtesy call. Kids and family had been fasting. If you want to be disappointed then continue ordering from this place because this was the last time for me!!

Food delivered over an hour late… add insult to injury, it turns up cold too!!! If you can’t deliver on time, then don’t accept the order. If I knew it was going to be delivered this late I would’ve cancelled.

We waited two hours and delivery drive had to wait two hours in shop to collect food

very unhappy as I placed the order just after 17.00pm for it to be delivered for 18.10pm. It was not delivered for this time and was delivered at 19.46pm instead the timings were changing regularly and as I was calling the restaurant for an update with what was going on they was not answering and sometimes came as line busy. Not happy with the service at all and the late delivery definitely will not be ordering again from this place!!!

ordered from uber eats. got sticky wings and a burrito. box the wings were in was opened. sauce was everywhere. smelt horrible. improve your packaging for saucier items! my whole order was ruined and money wasted. i will not be ordering from this branch again. a very unpleasant & disgusting experience.

the food was ordered at 16.45 and l was given a delivery time of 17.25. The delivery times kept changing and l made multiple attempts to ring the store but did not get a response. I tried to cancel the order via the app but was unable to. The food finally arrived at 19.30 and the food was cold and unpalatable. it was a total loss and embarrassment for me and my guests. Not happy!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! I ordered a peri peri wings meal and it was absolutely VILE. It smelled like someone vomited on it and I didn't even try it because it just was repulsive, the smell. In the wings packaging there was this juice sloshing around and I am certain that's vomit. Thankfully my mom had ordered a chicken salad but the chicken was really dry and I couldn't bite into it - ended up spitting it out. It smelled okay though. Fries hit the spot, and the mozzarella sticks were amazing especially with the garlic sauce but with the wings you've let me down rios. Waste of perfectly good chicken I can cook better than that it's also unhygienic like why would u vomit in someone's food I didn't even eat today and now I don't have an appetite rios<<<<<<<peppers + pepes When I came here last time food was good but today... seriously??? Don't order from here unless you want to eat vomit-drenched wings

Oder was not received. Rio’s would not help regarding the order and the fact that the driver dropped off the food somewhere else that too without a verification code being given from my side. Absolutely appalled by staff and manager service. Won’t be ordering again.

Seems like the people working here are not paying attention to the orders, three times in a row when I have ordered there are always some items missing. Like it’s not hard to follow basic instructions. Come on guys please pay attention to the order instructions. Thank you P.S the chicken and rice is still the best.

The food is really quite good. I think the flavours are pretty unique and the sauce in the burger has a great tang to it you can't really get anywhere else. The seasoned fries are great too and most importantly this place understands the importance of great sauces. The white and orange sauce are the best I've ever gotten anywhere and blows all other sauces out of the water. Given that, the girl at the till was completely lifeless and for some reason they don't do the Mexicana burger despite showing it on their menu. The other reviews also suggest there's a consistency and attitude problem though I only come here infrequently. It's too bad a great product is being ruined by things like this. The cost was fine, about £8 for a rodeo burger and large fries (the portion of which was indeed quite large).

Hi Readers i wanted to share my review about the service the guy name abduallah is very loyal with his job any time i visit he deal me very kindly i really want to go again .... just because of his services 😌

Food was not worth going back to the same place again, the drinks were in the same bag as the food so they got warm and were wet on the outside the sauces are watered down fries were ok I burger was ok the other was horrible which was thrown in the bin along with the sauces. Drinks need to he in a separate bag not in the same bag with hot food. Maybe food is ok for some people but not for me eventhough it was 20% off for cheeky Tuesday it certainly wasn't worth it and I for sure will definitely not be ordering from Rio 's Piri Piri in Alum Rock again.

The delivery driver was refusing to give my food due to some issue on his phone even though he was standing at the wrong address in the first place. He was pestering me to connect his phone to my Wi-Fi which I repeatedly told him it isn’t working and wasn’t still letting me go. I even said if he wishes to he can take a picture of my door to show you. I am aware he has procedures to follow but how can he blame that on me if his phone isn’t working properly.

The garlic mayo was worse than water! They charge 50p each and I bought 8 and they were water. Absolutely disgusting! Never ordering from this Rio’s again! The worst of the worst

I swear to god i am not lying or anything ❌❌❌ Unbelievable I can’t believe me and my wife had Sweet Chile sauce wings Meal. Came back home and she was feeling stomach ache and guess what she vomited and this chicken feather came Out. This is absolutely disgusting my wife never ever gonna have wings any more only because of these. Please 🙏 do not go RIO’S PIRI PIRI alum rock this is ridiculous I have no words 😶

Rios never give salad with their food, chicken was very bland today and they are very stinjy with their sauces. Include a small salad with every chicken meal

Decent Shop tbf, prices are affordable, service is good. Enough seating for any families which is good. U could go "Extra Large" on meals for extra money, however it's a lie, as u get the same amount of food compared to another meal. But food was good.

Ordered lemon and herb flavour but got mango and lime. There was lack of flavour to the chicken and rice.

By far the worst Rio’s in the country by a mile. Was asked what drink I wanted and wasn’t even put in the bag, fries where cold like they had them sat for an hour nor was the burger the best, always go to hodgehill Rio’s and funnily enough pretty sure it’s owned by the same people but that branch is a million times better. Definitely won’t be going again until it’s closed down and made into a new shop.

Excellent customer service. I went earlier today with my children and notified staff members about my son's allergies. I was given all the allergen information I required and staff were very friendly. We ordered a nugget kids meal, half+half burger and panini. The kids enjoyed the food and the panini was the best I'd had in a while. We ate in and it was a pleasant experience. 10/10

Food was good. Out of the 6 pieces of chicken I had, there was 4 breast pieces and two thigh pieces. I asked for as many leg and thigh pieces as possible. My issue with this is that they claim to provide a mix of pieces, well where are my legs?. If rios keep getting this wrong, I'll take my business elsewhere.

This is by far the best piri piri chicken shop in Birmingham ,always consistent… nice fresh food with plenty of seating.

Food was good but I’m getting tired of different restaurants on these apps, not giving me what I pay for! Ordered 2 large fries and I received 1 large fries and 1 small fries. Don’t just take peoples money and get the order wrong! More attention to detail needed on peoples orders! Other than that the food tasted decent. Frango double fillet burger was falling apart in my hands though, but was a good portion size and tasted good. Would’ve gave a better rating if I received everything I paid for.

Firstly as other people writing reviews have mentioned I noticed the Asian woman in the headscarf at the counter was cold and somewhat rude. However I was happy to turn a blind eye to this if the food was good. Problem is, it isn’t. Ordered a few chicken dishes and the chicken is dry, somewhat hard and flavours are not good. The burgers are also substandard. Considering the prices I expected so much more. Also they can’t be bothered to invest in a fridge for the drinks. The cans are simply on a shelf behind the counter and are given to you at room temperture. In summer this is very annoying.

Appalling customer service, the entire floor could do with being redone as its an accident waiting. Can't really say much for hygiene either. As you can tell, I don't rate it at all but my dear friend for some unknown reason likes their wrap.

I've given this 1 star because of the lady cashier who previously worked at the Dixy across the road. A rude woman with no sense of hygiene. I recall ordering a chicken burger and after handling the cash register she proceeded to go to the back and make it herself using her bare, unsantised hands. When I objected she claimed the heat will burn any bacteria away, I object again and she opens the cash register and throws my change back saying if you don't want my food then go. In fairness, this was in Dixy (at the height of Covid), and not at this store. But they now employ her and will have to burden this review. I will be likewise leaving a similar review with Dixy. The lady is short, middle aged and wears a scarf This shop specifically, I ordered a chicken and rice box. It was very very oily and bland in taste. The menu as a whole is overpriced for what it is in my opinion. Store looks decent, however.
