The service was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend going there. They took our order and when after waiting for 40 minutes we finally asked when it would be ready, they said that something went wrong and our order was not processed and if we wanted to continue, we still had to wait for 15 more minutes for them to start our order from the beginning. . Almost an hour to get our 3 English breakfasts and 1 porridge on Saturday in the almost empty place. They didn’t even bother themselves to check our order.

Best coxinha I’ve ever had. Including those I had in Brazil. Cozy place where you can also find nice Brazilian food, snacks and beer

I went in today around 6pm with a friend and asked the lady at the front if I could use the restroom she said I needed to buy something so I thought to get a table and eat in. I was greeted then followed by the man who worked there felt very uncomfortable after using the restroom went to look at the menu and realised it was dirty then after a few minutes of thinking what I wanted I then looked at the table and that was dirty too. I would usually ask if they can wipe it but because of COVID I did not feel safe buying anything or even just sitting in the café. So me and my friend decided to leave I apologised and was about to leave when the same man who followed us in the beginning made a comment and I asked him what he said and then AGGRESSIVELY accused me and my friend coming in just to use the restroom I was completely shocked so then decided to record as I felt this was a RACIAL ATTACK towards me and my friend as it all added up with the way he followed us to begin with if you like a copy of the video I will happily email you it over. Continuing on I then asked for his name multiple time and answered it was not my business and then had the cheek to ask me for my name after I asked the women who he was working with the same question and I revived the same answer. I COULD NOT BELIVE MY EYES ! I told him the reason we did not stay was because the table was dirty and he rudely told us to leave and sarcastically told us to come again . I have never been spoken to like this in any coffee shop restaurant or anywhere like this before it is awful. I WILL MOST DEFINITELY NOT I REPEAT NPT GOING BACK THERE AGAIN

Busy very busy Monday evening on the pavement of Walthamstow High street. Somehow CC served over 24 covers at once (I counted) and was so attentive and quick in sorting out our family. Total price was £26 for four .... why so? well a quarter of us was a baby whose meal cost £2 but for the rest of us, we ate a salad and two not three huge pizzas, as advised by CC. That's really generous to your customer service. The greek salad was mainly tomato - excellent and the vegiterrian pizza Italian thin and tasty. I noticed a HUGE menu of food and drinks - dont know how its possible Rio Cafe but brilliantly done .... Will be visiting again - thank you so much

My wife and I use Rio regularly during the spring/summer and consider the quality of the food to be better than anything we've ever had in 'The Village'. Unfortunately, I think for many people, the idea of a decent restaurant existing in the market is a 'no-no'....it's probably assumed, wrongly, that only fast food outlets are to be found on the High Street. Considering the quality of the dishes Rio offer, I think the 'cafe' part of their title should be dropped....this is a Restaurant, plain and simple. Every meal we've ever had in Rio has always been presented beautifully by top quality chefs who have never let standards drop in all the years we've been eating there, and given the menu prices, which are reasonable to say the least, that's a rarity. The wine served there is always good, as is the service by the friendly, attentive staff. Forget 'The Village' with it's overpriced food and wine....try Rio, particularly when the weather's good and you can eat outside....you won't be disappointed! Figgis

I was shopping in waltemstow market. I went to the Cafe. I had a cup of tea and a cake. The cake was delicious. The place was quiet and relaxing.

I have been going to this place for years, it is by far the best cafe I have ever been to for coffee anywhere in the world, if you’re ever in Walthamstow, check it out.

This place is something else, you wouldn't say much by the front, although we can see straight way they serve good coffee by the number of outside tables and the difficulty to find one on a sunny market day. But... if you venture inside you will find a very friendly garden that is comfortable even on cold nights as it is heated and cozy. The food is very tasty, the service friendly, and prices are extremely attractive. Highly recommended. Perfect place for a brunch on a Saturday market day.
