It doesn't look much from the outside but it's value all the way when you are in! I don't know what he'll do when the station is finished, there's a constant stream of blokes from there. Banging breakfast and excellent value, just what you want when you see what most hotels offer these days. Spot on caff.

While on one of our many of our Hidden walks of London my Daughter and I came across this place very plain 60/70 building not a very inviting building but so glad we were hungry and tried Madeira . The range of home made food inside was fantastic great choice mains and fabulous home made puddings the custard tarts were divine . So please get past the uninviting exterior and enjoy

I'm Portuguese and use to eat great food. I'm a toca customer but have decided to try something else portuguese. .. my first and last experience at madeira today. I had steak and my steak looked like cheap meat at tesco with loads of veins inside. You almost couldn't cut it properly. Overall very poor quality for someone loves portuguese food. Sorry but nothing compared with normal portuguese food. Steak no taste. .. hard to cut it and very dry. .. not recommended.

We espied this cafe on the way from Paddington Station to the Frontline Club where we were meeting ex work colleagues for a pre Christmas get together. Having consumed a reasonable amount of red wine during the course of the evening, nothing would hit the spot on a cold, winter morning more than a Full English. And we were not disapoointed. Although the staff are Portuguese they have mastered the traditional workman's breakfast as was illustrated by the number of high viz jackets and hard hats populating the tables. I haven't been to too many eateries recently, either top end or snack bars, that are so busy that customers were turned away. What a compliment to the hard working, charming folk at Madeira. £5 for Full English which includes a big cup of tea and toast. Bargain!

Brilliant breakfast venue! We had stayed overnight nearby in the Front Line Club so we walked down Praed Street and found this gem. Our timing was superb as we had a choice of tables but five minutes later the place was packed. The tea was great and the full English sublime. £10 for two. This is a very happy place to be, attracting trades people, professionals and locals you share a table and feel the buzz that is London here. A real gem.

We went there after seeing the reviews, and the reviews are OK! The place is very outdated, the food was very basic, nothing special. The starter we ordered, was extremely disappointing, We had Dirty Fries, which was nothing but standard fries with some low-quality bacon added to it - The Fried squids were horrible, chewy and not fresh at all. Uploading pictures of the main we had below. The menu for drinks was okay; however, they advertised malted beer as Pale Ale. Ridiculous! I won't go back again. The waiter was friendly and nice, but the food was awful.

Tried ringing to make a reservation for Friday evening and the phone just rang out with no answerphone. Turned up at the restaurant and it was all shuttered up with no notice indicating prolonged Xmas holidays or anything. Presumed closed for business.

Huzzah.
